What I’m hoping for is that NSP comes in and blows out T7 and pushes HoD score down so that maybe we will be able to move up sooner that previously expected.

Lol…I just more respect for FC than ET. Every time ET takes something there is a pic or a video that pops up and any time something is said by another server there is this sort of FIT that is throw that reminds me of a child dropping to the ground flailing their arms and legs. Just look at the way ET turned on FC when they finally took second place….which only happened due to [A] The transfers going into ET and [B] The transfers going out of FC. It had nothing to due with skill or PvE’rs joining back on the WvW field.

By the way this is a carebear forum tier (unfortunately) and just be careful there are a lot of people that run to Mom and Dad if you hurt their feelings…just want to give you a heads up and look forward to butting heads with you in the future

I’d say the only real change this week is that SF should belive in HoD/GoM to kill NSP as they try to not lose rating again and maybe leave the Blackhole .

Wait “probably all others after that”…LOL. Hey I would hate to have to face JQ also even with those Bandwagoneers from SoS. Heading for the hills instead of facing the almighty JQ army is definitely a good move.

If you like good sportsmanship than FC is definitely the better choice between these two servers. They have skilled players and the lowest populated server of the three of us…I always would rather go against a Zerg of ET than a coordinated group of Fergs any day. Good luck this week FC hope the recent ET transfers doesn’t stop you from pulling into the blue this week.

Well I can’t see into the future but, for those wondering NSP won’t fall below T7. In fact I would be surprised if they don’t dominate T7. Also … bad form SF highjacking the recruitment from the 2 servers that need transfers.

Yet, SF needs transfers too if we want to move up. Not only to T7 but above that too. I respect ET and FC, have had some great fights (though when I read the posts about how your small groups defeat a 30+ zerg I have to laugh).

But what it comes down to is that this is war. To complain that the winning team is trying to recruit is asinine.

Love how the name of the post is T8, please read and for some reason that was meant for the T8 that wasn’t SF. We are in T8 for a reason and to say that we should just let our enemies recruit so we can stay in T8 longer and finally have even fights when more of our team gets depressed and bored is brilliant.

That being said we would love new transfers but if you decide to go to one of the other servers…FC is your place. Hope you guys make it to blue by the end of the week.

Don’t forget NSP will have a lot of points stolen at the first week unless they do a massacre on T7… That will increase the rating gap between HoD (which will be red next week) and SF even more…

The best bet for SF if they really want to leave T8 is that NSP die and drop dead.

If you read what imalog.7689 said and the score for the week before, the purposely targeted NSP just to make them drop down. Now look at the history from GoM and HoD….the mostly likely outcome is that NSP is going to massacre T7.

Saying that the best thing for SF is that NSP dies is like saying that ET finally came off the red team due to hard work alone and had nothing to do with transfers. Not that I have a problem with transfers to our enemies just wished people went to FC….feel like they are much more deserving.

I really don’t have hard feelings towards anyone just get defensive sometimes…and just as frustrated as everyone else with this system. But looking at the MOS scores the close matches that were happening the last few weeks seem to be gone. The Devs will never listen and even in the new interview about March update I feel like it may not be the major game changing content they promised us a few months ago, but we will see.

whats ironic is the possibility that NSP knocks HoD down and SF up. In which case Mr. Rat here would thank AR for such an opportunity considering how we held NSP’s borderland for the start of the week prompting their current score, in which i lead the majority of that on nsp bl.

Just one more question here are you saying that you sacrificed your own score to beat up on the 3rd place team to push them down a tier? Looking at last weeks score I kind of believe that may be the case…otherwise I would be thanking BP.

Not really sure what the hostility is about but I’ll pay your transfer fee to either one of those servers if you are that concerned about them. For servers to have thread after thread telling people not to transfer to our server in my opinion is wrong, all they have to do is make a case for the benefits of transferring to theirs.

But if you feel like we should punished because of a bad raking system then it’s all good…I just have fun and play the game.

There are 3 other threads for ET and FC recruitment. T8 please read should be an open thread to anyone. I didn’t post anything in those and since I am part of T8 I did read and post.

It has been said a thousand times that we are not wanted and don’t belong in T8 but somehow there is now some sort of problem for us to recruit and try to get out a little bit sooner. And for the matter of what the higher tier people say….maybe it is because of all the threads about the problems in T8. Don’t really get all the logic here….T8 is broken and is just a pit of despair but please come join our server.

Glad to have you on SF with us…there will be plenty of fighting most of the time. Hopefully we will be able to move up soon but the ratings system sucks so we may be stuck in this tier for a bit.

Does anyone know what the limitations on acquiring commendations is yet? Been searching for a while and figured I would save time and ask….just wondering what the limit is on how may you can receive in a week.

Every time I am out in the field I always try to get my people just to target ET because of how much time they have spent as RED team. After four months it just seems a little strange to see them as BLUE….Go team AL

The price of the Unidentified Dyes went up when Anet completely nerfed their drop rate. I ended up buying 30 of them when they were 2s a piece. That was when they were dropping like crazy…then they nerfed it and withing a week the price shot up.

Nine Divines is recruiting new members of any level and skillset. We are a casual guild looking for players to join us in pve, wvw, and dungeon runs. We have about 15-20 active members on pretty much every night and more that are as active. Our guild uses Vent. and are most active during the evening….please send pm here or in game if you are interested.

Has any server out there camped all three exits. Not sure why people have an issue when there are alternative exits and maps to avoid running out to your death.

I find the best way to draw people out from their spawn and give us endless badges is to use fireworks. For some reason this makes people so mad they will just continue to rush over and over again.

Yeah pretty sure some guild out there sped it up and started it…Anet was telling people in forums that it was broken and warning people not to speed it up until it was fixed.

I’m pretty sure ANet said that other people would be able to help out any guild’s mission. I’m assuming that means you’ll be able to fill your large group needs from the general public.

Except not with better payout. Helping a guild doesn’t give you the commendations or the rares with a chance at exotics. You have to represent the guild starting the mission to get those, otherwise you just get a fat dynamic event reward of like 400 karma, some experience, and ~1.8 silver.

Don’t forget the chance at a precursors that can sell for several hundred gold

They can help but they don’t get commendations or items…which means no chance at precursor if you aren’t repping the guild that started it. You only get rewards as if you are completing any other dynamic event in the game.

That guild has to start the event first…and you won’t get commendations or items for helping them unless you are repping for them. You receive a little silver, xp, and some karma.

First off many people don’t like all the BS that is spouted in the larger guilds chat…have been in many of them and seems like it is always an issue.

No items either so you don’t get the chance at a precursor

Have to rep the guild to get the commendations and maybe the items too

Another thing is that if you see a guild out in the world completing these events you wont get the commendations unless you are repping guild that started the event.

But it’s not about instant gratification, it’s about feeling like they can do it at all.

I am in a medium sized guild so we will be able to get to new content in about a week, for small guilds that never put any influence into AoW…going to be a lot of influence and research time just to unlock missions.

For the people in the larger guilds to dismiss everyone else and claim they want instant gratification is just silly. There is a reason why people avoid large guilds and the feel of being back in Barrens chat.

Check again. Every tree has a mission type at lvl 6 that doesn’t require commendations. The other ones are challenges or a harder version of the lvl 6 ones.

You’re mistaken. Not only do all of the unlocks except bounties require merits, they also require previous unlocks first. i.e. You have to unlock them sequentially, Bounties -> Treks -> Rushes, etc.

I would like to know where did you get that information (I’m not saying you’re wrong btw). But for what I could get by looking at the trees, you just have to research to lvl 6 and then unlock the “basic” version of the missions. The other ones down in the tree do require all that you mentioned.

Speaking of feedback, since ANet seems largely disinclined to comment about our posts, can I get the forum’s feed back on a simple fix? It regards the availability of non-War guild missions. Also please correct me if I’m just misinformed.

I only see one glaring issue with the guild missions.

Yes, you can train other non-PVP/Non-WvW mission types from other trees,… BUT they require guild commendations (or whatever the currency is called) to UNLOCK them.

The only way to get commendations is to train War to lvl5 and then run the distasteful (to ME, hence MY issue) PvP style guild missions to get the PvE missions unlocked.

Can’t we simply remove the commendation requirements from the other unlocks? If GW2 is supposed to be a game where you get to choose your own play-style, and play the game as you enjoy it – this seems to be very much the opposite.

The gold for influence, the time, that will come – big deal. But being forced into a direction I resent and do not enjoy is not what I expected from ArenaNet. Honestly I had had no “downsides” to admit when talking to other MMO gamers. This is my first, and since it a game called *Guild*Wars, I consider it a big one.

My Suggestion:
Remove commendation requirements from other unlocks. That is my humble and fervent suggestion. Please.

I think there are people from Anet that don’t like it when people on the forums ask for 100% map completion to be removed from WvW and then the badge issues, and I feel like this is their way to stick a great big thumb in the eye of those people.

People can piggy back on the larger guilds to see the content…but 90% of the people grind for gear in the game.

Not sure about how the reward system works but I have read that you don’t get commendations unless your guild has mission activated

I’m curious, not trying to bash you . . . but have you done it yet yourself? If so then I can at least reassure my guild a bit.

I think the issue is that people in big guilds will have access to it a lot faster than the smaller guild….if you have politics 5 and Art of War 5 already unlocked I think the total amount of influence need for all the missions so far is at about 370,000.

I don’t think we will see the effects this will have on the smaller guilds until people start getting the the new gear and rewards for being in a big guild. For the argument that people in smaller guilds will be fine and it’s a rewarding challenge….we will see how many people will want to wait 6-8 months for gear when the people from larger guilds will access to it in about a month.

Well if you have AoW 5 and politics 5 unlocked….I think your looking at about 370,000 influence for the rest of the upgrades. Seems a little steep for smaller guilds.

There are players that will jump to the bigger guilds and not switch back…and that it going to hurt the small and medium guilds.
