I doubt someone else is using my account. It might be very well possible. Ill change my PW immediatly.
Then again, why would the support not notify me if that is the case.
I do however have to identify my login everyday, everytime, no matter when. So its really difficult to tell if someone else had used it.
Hello Forum,
I want to talk about the Disciplinary Process and its possible flaws.
Earlier today I was banned for botting. Game closed instantly and I was gone.
Mind you, I was not botting at all whatsoever.
It was probably just some random dude that thought it would be a nice idea to report someone for botting just for the sake of reporting him.
After contacting the Support with a very fast response (Thank you) I was able to get my account back.
But thats not it, they told me my account had indeed been part of some suspicious behaviour and that it is an exceptional case that my account got reactived today.
Appareantly my account also got further flagged and is under observation of some sort.
Now I am sitting here, clueless of whats going.
I tried to politely re-contact the Support to ask whats going on and what the exact reason was I got banned. They were not able to tell me, because:
It is particularly not in our best interest to engage in debate about suspensions with those who frequently are in breach of the Rules of Conduct.
Alright. I throughoutly understand that, I guess…
The Reason my account was probably already flagged which lead to an instant-ban todady:
A little bit of a history for everyone to understand.
I bought the game on release, played a bit and dropped it.
This year in May I wanted to pick it up again but was banned because of gold selling.
I figured I probably got hacked in the meantine and someone had used my account for gold-selling purposes.
Since I really did not have anything worthy on my account, let alone a single level 80 character from that little time-frame I was playing back at release, I requested to wipe my account to get rid of its gold selling history.
Yay, everything went well, been playing every since.
I figured since nothing of this was my fault back then, my account was fresh and ready for a new beginning.
Seeing now, that this system marks accounts as ‘suspicious’ or something I probably never got rid of the bad history of my account until today.
Other possible occurrences that might caused my account to get flagged are the following:
Repeating in-game chat to an excessive degree (“spamming”).
During the cheast farm in the silverwastes, many people including me have been spamming Essence of Luck in map-chat multiple times. Binding the same key to ‘Display names of items on the ground’ and ‘Insta-post items in chat’ was probably not the wisest decision.
Its possbile that many people got flagged during these days.
…or…
Engaging in PvP match manipulation, disrupting a PvP match by not actively playing in good faith, or any other form of PvP griefing, exploitation, or abuse.
Does leaving Custom Broweser games count, too? I dont know. I sure did that a few times. Usually at times where I am sure I cannot play a full round and just want to hop in for some quick fun.
Then again, its a common thing to leave custom games for many people. Many even try to push their win:loss ratio it seems… (?)
Maybe this got me flagged aswell, maybe not.
Other than the mentioned I have never done anything even remotely against the terms of service or rules of the game.
- No Botting, bug-using etc.
- Never annoyed any people online or insulted them.
- Never took any advantage of broken game-mechanics.
You name it.
TL:DR My account got flagged numerous times and today I got told that on any futher miss-behaviour I am not going to be able to get my account back and that this is a last warning…
That basically means, that whenever some random dude decides to report me again just for the fun of it, it means goodbye.
This is ridiculous!
Final words:
I wish for some clarification. I also wish for some dev to contanct me if thats possible and shed some light on what is going on with my account and its current status.
I am a very honest person and I’ve always been against the abuse of a system or rude behaviour within a community. I am the last person to break any rules of this game, since I love and value it.
It is unaccaptable that my efforts of clarifaction get refused and I get accused for something I have never done.
Thank you and please share your thoughts.
Edit: Of course I understand why a, in my opinion, rudimentary system like this exists. In a game with so many people playing everyday it is impossible for a handful of devs to watch over so many players and of course just to reinsure, I blame no-one personally for what has happend today.
Give them to me :<
I still waiting for them to reactive the stalwart retwards. :C
They could buff pets that need it while offering new “skins” for pets. More or less the same abilities but different looks.
Woah this! So much this.
I want a hawk with siamoth abilities/skills
Let us just reskin pets with transmutation charges, lol.
I am sorry but I get the feeling that recently people have started to actively look for something that they can complain on more than ever.
Its not the good ol’ warranted criticizing of major problems anymore. Like the NPE or other bame breaking balance issues.
No, I get the impression some are on the hunt for things to complain on just for the sake of complaining. A bandwagon effect if you will…
It is just a stupid name of an area within the game.
I am pretty sure everyone at Anet knows exactly what a maze or labyrinth is and that the area they have created for us would never be considered an acutal maze.
Now, retain yourself from mindlessly throwing your hate at Anet whereever you can and start focusing your energy on the important issues.
At this rate I would not be surprised if noone of Anet takes the voice of the forum serious anymore.
I dont mean to attack anyone specifically, this is just a common observation.
The Challenge Mote is right next to where Caithe is standing when you first enter the map.
Must be a bug then.
It can ‘bug’ and not show up…. i had to bring a friend in just so he could activate it for me after 20 minutes of resetting the instance!
I’ll try that later today.
Thanks.
Sure.
I am entering the area via the purple instance indicator.
As mentioned, I have all of the other achievements done.
Its supposed to be in front of me, right? Its nowhere else anyway.
Hi guys.
Have you done this one yet?
I wanted to do it at patch day but I could not find the challenge mote.
So just today I went into the instance again with this bugger nowhere to be found.
I looked it up on the webs where the mote is supposed to be but not for me.
Am I the only one?
Do I miss any requirements?
I’ve got all achievements except this one.
The above was tested in PvP. I do most of my testing in PvP as fights are just way more accessible. The final build is for WvW though.
Power ranger in PvP is really kinda underwhelming though.
The only good thing is abusing terrain and shooting people on a capture point.
I am still wondering how a power ranger is listed under “meta” in meta battle. They are so easily shut down.
I hope power based LB rangers we’ll be getting a boost at some point. Especially to make them more viable in roaming and PvP.
Roaming is already okaish but in PvP its pretty hard to play efficiently on higher levels.
In every other MMO that I played so far, Archers were one of the top 1v1 PvP classes. Its sad enough we dont even have such a profession in Gw2. I hope the ranger will fill that role someday.

Control right click?
Yep the boxy circle with 2 arrows surrounding the #1 skill will disappear. Indicating the auto attack is off.
Also don’t forget to switch it back on when you go back to longbow or whatever other weapons that doesn’t have problem with auto attack.
This was it! kitten yea!
I was searching all over the place but unable to find any hint (how) you could do that.
Thanks!
Finding this out after 1500h of gameplay … lol
Anyway, this is a gamechanger for me right now. Loving it!
Can you completely shut down the auto attack option somehow?
If I de-tagert the enemy I can press #1 once and he will only do the first swing.
If I have the target selected the character does the full duration.
Any way to get rid of that?
Found nothing in the options.
Then I simply need to get better Thats a fact, lol.
Maybe I need to think ahead?
The first of the sword #2 chain has a horrible cast time. Imo it should be instant like the warriors. I have really troulbe timing it.
The next thing is that 50% of the time both my hunters shot and push back thingily skill miss the target. Not because of blinds or evades etc.
They just get close and make a sidestep or walk around me in circles and even If I stand still and click nothing the character wont auto-rotate to the target once I click the skill.
This and the sword timings cause most of my deaths while roaming.
Edit: Most of my deaths are mesmers and thiefes still. Their actions are just unpredictable and non-readable for me :< Sometimes really good guardians are a trouble on my warrior, too.
I wish someone would coach me
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
Its all good if its just your regular medium armor coat or fantasy heavy armor that looks like a robe.
If this skin however is finally a decent heavy plated leather set or nice plate armor for heavies then we just need to make enough voice, we might be able to buy it off the gem shop.
1) I have no idea. Someone else will tell you that
2) Yes. The current set of weapons is always 1 ticket. By the time the next set is released the current one will cost 5 tickets aswell. So watch out to when they plan on introducing new ones if you are looking at getting one for 1 ticket.
Great fights! I do however think the music does not fit the fighting scenes at all. But that might just be personal taste.
Next up show us some duels against experienced thiefs or mesmers. They screw me over big time atm.
I still prefer your roaming #4 video The fights in that video look a lot more fluid and smooth.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
Difficult.
Getting away with a ranger is – Difficult. And a major problem.
The Short answer is: You dont.Well this is completely wrong on all points. Mobility is zero problem for rangers and escaping even thieves is fairly simple. In OPs case it’s as simple as hunter shot, LR, sword2 sword2 and he’s more than out of combat.
Ha, I’ve seen that video before.
I still have to disagree. That is not escpaing or getting away. Thats extreme dodging that might eventually make the enemy turn around and give up. I never said the Ranger is bad at dodging.
An escape for me is a distanse covered in a time frame that your enemy cannot keep up with.
Difficult.
Getting away with a ranger is – Difficult. And a major problem.
The Short answer is: You dont.
The Long answer:
I main Warrior for roaming, still. Despite all the thiefes around. (God I hate them)
Getting away is no issue whatsoever. GS #5 + Bulls rush = Exit fight.
Its even easier for thiefes to get away.
With that out of the way, I recently started playing ranger as my first devoted profession besides the warrior and escpaing is troublesome.
I wield a sword/dagger. the leaps of the sword are already of more distance than the GS. Lightning reflexes can also be used to escape and even a well times Sword auto attack can leap you up to 600 range (Mind you that is reaaally hard to pull of – I think I succeded with this only once yet)
A cripple on the dagger help a bit aswell.
The thing is that all only really works against Warriors, Necros, Engis and staff eles.
Against the other professions and DD eles its gettingdifficult already. And forget about ever trying to outrun a thief.
There is the option to use the new trapper runes that give super speed and invisibility. But I am not really a fan of it and have yet to try it. its probably better than I think.
If you dont have those equipped you simply have to stay and fight or run into the next keep.
To answer your question:
Yes the run-speed signet is awesome and you should use it in WvW – IF you dont have traveler runes or perma swiftness which is appereantly achievable with the pack runes.
You might want to take a look at this thread where some of us try yet again to make a great power ranger build:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/Build-Thoughts-Nonglassy-LB/first#post4570211
Alright I want to report back with some more testing.
- The last two days I ran bark skin for around 50~ sPvP matches to further test it.
Simply put its just amazing. The incomming damage is laughable and really safed my life uncountable times where I was sitting at below 25% life.
The most remarkable moment was a hammer/axe warrior attacking me as I was at some 30%~ Life. I soon dropped into the threshold to proc bark skin and I had to check the combat log because I was just laughing my kitten off while sword dancing him to death.
A warriors skills are easy to dodge, especially if you played one for over 1k hours. The few times he did land a skill it was like 300-500 hammer damage. some 160 shield bash.
A 820 Eviscerate. (I dodged the kittening shield stun but the burst still connected.)
Must have been a level 1 Evis without crit. With crit its usually around 4-4.5k on my warrior. So 2k non crit with bark skin and protection around 800…
Pop your heal and voila.
Thats unbelievably awesome!
- Of course in sPvP I can easily swap the run speed signet for a condi remove one and since I have no anti-condi food those conditions still are kind of a problem with only one cleanse. Anything power based is doomed however!
- Signet Mastery trait is pretty cool, too! Not sure If I want it while roaming though.
Ugh, the decisions are hard. Ranger has so many cool tratis and skills to pick
@LughLongArm.
I always had trapper runes in the back of my head. On paper they seem really strong and useful. I should give it a shot someday. Sadly I cannot test them in sPvP.
The Pack runes are looking very nice aswell and perma fury and swiftness would be absoluetly worth the loss in crit damage and the 7% damage. I am not really convinced on how easy it is to keep all those effects up though.
Atleast, if it works I could take the condi signet.
Edit:
@killahmayne:
I am surprised you go for pack runes, too. I should really try them out now I guess.
Are you comfortable with “Hide in plain sight?” Imo this one is really useless ?!
Everyone will know you just stand there if they see you going invis without a longbow.
Then again, I cannot even control it since I move constantly I’d break it immediatly anyway, lol.
I really dont like the bleeding trait and neither the vita to power trait in nature magic.
I’d rather choose the 5 1/2 seconds of protection in nature magic.
Edit2: Forget it. Empathic Bons needs to be in the build. Conditions are a real threat.
Btw, why is it that mesmer and thief still reman my worst nightmares? I though I’d be somewhat of a counter to thiefes with ranger but I keep dieing to them the most still.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
I disagree, there are certainly players that play multiple game modes. There are also PvE players that would play PvP, but just don’t know anything about it. I see this feedback every time we do a visible event which causes people to play PvP for the first time.
I’d assume a lot of PvE players who try sPvP for the first time hop into a custom game because they dont feel anywhere ready for a team-arena.
Custom games are the bane of sPvP. It happened to me aswell. After my first 3-4 custom games with 3vs5 matchups, unfair teams, winner team joiners and just generally uncoordinated play I felt this game-mode was garbage and left it aside for a good 3 months until I took another look at it with a full premade team.
Now, thats a lot of fun, then.
Custom arenas need some real attention. Prevent winner team joining, make a game only start ranked once 10 players have gathered. Before that its more of a team deathmatch without consequences.
Talking unique rewards, please Evan, make stalwart happen again. I am missing my stalwart shoulders!
Hey! I am currently trying to accomplish the same, like many other rangers aswell it seems.
With the Longbow buffs I finally fell in love with this class. Still trying to find the optimal setup though.
Maybe we can figure out something great with the help of the community.
- First of all, have you tried the sigil of blood yet? Is the lifesteal any good?
I wanted to try it out a long time ago but I always forgot about it again
- Personally, I dont like your trait choices. I admit I ran the same in the beginning but I swapped to 6 in Survival.
If we look at the Skirmishing trait line. Quick draw is not really needed imo, your AA deals great damage on its own during the couple of seconds of cooldown you have to deal with without quick draw. The pet crit damage, meh. And moment of clarity is really situational.
Going 6 into survival you gain the same amount of toughness with a lot more zerky gear.
The traits I chose in survival are awesome, too. Especially the off Hand mastery. Great for the long range dagger cripple and even for Axe #4 if you prefer Axe. This one has been my favourite so far.
Some vigor never fails and the Master traits are great aswell. Either condi-removal or 5000+ Effective HP with bark skin. (Saved me a couple of times!)
- Food Choice. The anti-condi food any day. I main a warrior and this is the best food ever. Considering we lack condi-removal and have low HP its even better.
- I also prefer Sword/X over GS these days. Dodge on demad ftw and more incombat mobility.
- The traveler runes are a tricky subject. I’d like to get rid of the run-speed signet myself but at this time its not really a great thing to do. I rather have the signet equipped for anything thats not a thief. I actually use it for a first strike. +50% damage is awesome.
If I see a thief approaching I swap it with Sic’em, just like you have it.
Been doing this a few days now, works great.
- I also have a second longbow in my inventory that I equip when taking a tower or camp. It has currently bloodlust slotted but I am thinking of swapping it to the precision one. I wont loose stacks if I swap longbows because I have those sigil on my underwater weapons.
And here it is, my current noobish/unexperienced attempt to achieve what you stated:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fNEQNAT8YjEq0yaDLGsw1ag9gadAUAnd7f4azWXHMA-TVDBABQt/QHHBguUi0wBCAiLAQlq/glyp0UCCwDAwLlE5pbghDQwGHEgAAIAG6QH6QH6Q7m7coDdnDtMAMjB-w
(Note: Its all ascended because I happen to have all the jewellery and weapons lying around and crafting a set of armor is no big deal for me atm)
- I am considering swapping the first trait in marksmanship ‘Steady focus’ with signet mastery. Not sure at this point.
- Not sure if I stick with bark skin either. I have 5000 HP left if I reach 25% life. Double that and its 10000HP. So you basically gain 5k extra HP.
The thing is if you are sitting at 6k and get hit for 2k you really loose 2k HP and not 1.5k, sadly. Its again pretty situational. I really dont like the RNG condi remove from Empathic Bond either. And I’d like to make space for signet of renewal but there’s just no space for it.
Then again with Bark skin and Portection + some regen or even trolls unguent pumping you are hard to bring down for power specs below 25% HP. Works nicely with the naturally high armor, too.
Lets see what everyone has to say
Edit: Sigil of leeching is seriously underrated btw.
Jump down a small step and take fall damage, swap to sword/x and gain the leeching effect permanently until you attack someone. I ALWAYS do that. You can trigger it on some mobs, too. It essentially 1k extra damge on your first hit, whats not to love.
Edit2: I forgot to mention and include pets.
Wolf – obvious choice. Fear and 2 seconds knockdown are awesome tools.
Siamoth – Dat plasma aegis and pretty much every boon
The stealth items work great, too! Easy opening with longbow #4 out of stealth. Wont ever see that one comming.
Not to forget the siamoth has a 3(!) second knockdown. (If it actually lands)
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
Alternatively, bring a ranger.
Only the really skilled thiefes/mesmers are a problem. They can be a real pain in the kitten to fight againt. Then again – every skilled player is hard to fight.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
Feel free to share your feedback.
Love it. Actually watched it a few times the last couple days.
Do more!
Oh wow.. I am tired.. Of course it increases prizes.
Major facepalm right now.
You’ll get hated for this, … a lot.
But yeah, fewer zerging wold be great
Edit:
This would drastically decrease prices aswell. (Edit2: Dont mind this. I am kittened when I am tired)
Hell I support a direction like this.
Just not quite like that. We just need a way to get rid of farm-trains. Then buff overall loot and we are done.
No need for a loot cap.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
In my opinion there’s no point to stick with war, warrior was my main since start of the game, but update by update war is changed to kitten,…
Sometimes I think this forum is full with people that only play for efficiency in PvE.
Don’t get me wrong – I am pro buffing Warrior in PvE big time. The Damage at least.
But just because your main class is not up to the standards anymore you think of dropping it.
Is it an ancient thought that you may play a class because you like the class itself and its mechanics?
Now that this is out of the way…
I was never a fan of comparing professions when it comes to speedruns or dps. There is no such thing as perfect balance in an MMO.
I have no idea what everyones MMO history is, but I am a long time lineage II veteran.
(It is the MMO that has influenced me the most in those 5-6 years of playing it)
This game had something that was called “Class-based Olympiad” Its essentially your average 1v1 arena. The winner goes to the next round.
The only difference All fights were of the same classes to determine the strongest of each profession by the end of the olympiad. No cross-professions battles at all.
What I want to say is, yes your warrior might do 10% less personal Dps than the new ranger generation but you will never live the day where the dps is equal among all classes. I totally agree the warrior needs a damage buff in PvE but I am not getting totally butt-mad about it and drop my class.
If you guys care that much about speedruns or dps meters in PVE you want to achieve well, or best in comparison to other players (not classes). When Dominik does his next Lupi speedkill he is going to be super happy he broke his record and then it is for Miku to challenge him to do it faster…. and not some ranger or ele.
I think I made my point clear.
Stop comparing professions and rather challenger yourself who the best of each profession is! For the love towards your profession, nothing more.
And if its all about group-speed clears, hell then pick the same team set ups.
If this game would have a holy trinity you’d certainly not compare a group of tanks with a perfect setup that utilizes all 3 of the trinity.
PS:
Funfact: I suck with Hambow. I’ve been playing some sPvP lately.
On my Hammer I am practically a sitting duck because every smart player dodges the obvious tells or has long duration of stability when facing a warrior.
On Axebow I perform better but I still die because I am slow as kitten.
With Axe+Sh/GS I can stay alive for an entire match sometimes. I have a counter for everything and ususally score best in my team by a mile infact.
Maybe I just suck after all
If we talk about icons then stuff like shared anguish should have even higher priority to be displayed.
So much this.
And while you are at it, I’d like to see when my pets brutal charge goes off cooldown, too!
^ This. Pick up every ore, tree, plant node you see on the minimap. Its easy starting cash or much needed materials for later. Its much like skyrim, really.
Edit: Ugh, just to avoid confusion on your end. Thanks to recent patches you’ll notice those ores on the mini-map only once you reached level 6.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
Bumping a 3 month old thread because I am that desperate.
The months are passing and still no stalwart.
It is unfourtunate enough I have not been playing at the time the skins were available but I finally want to finish my complete look and I am missing the shoulders.
Dear Anet, Is it not possible to activate the reward tracks again? Or just simply put in into the gem store, I dont mind. I mean, its all here, nothing new to develop. Just reactive it again please
Not that it matters, but I dislike all of them. Every legendary to be exact.
They all look silly imo.
A legend among legends is surely not going to fire rainbows or clown pistols with confetti.
If Bolt and Juggernaut diddn’t have their silly effects I’d maybe someday consider getting one of those.
Ascended weapons however are a job well done. Very well infact.
To each his own I guess.
I wish we could trade them somehow.
I’d give one to everyone in this thread who wants one.
I’ve opened prolly around ~450 chests and got 11 of those lying around with no use at all.
Wow! Has been years since I last saw a sales report.
Seeing Lineage 1 still doing that well is incredible.
You are right. I absoluetly forgot about upgrade times. But hey, thats just another timer to change right?
1h is now 1min. How about that? Of course the costs need to be drastically lowered aswell! Then again just some numerical values to change here too.
If a waypoint costs you 5 silver and is deployed in under one minute. Why not.
Disclaimer: Wether 1 minute instead of hours is better or not is for the balancing team to decide. I am just throwing out the idea that changing some time and costs values accordingly should not be the problem at all.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
Month old bump ftw!
How about it causing blind? The birds will peck at their eyes and stuff.
That’d be my vote. And not just a single blind, but each bird causes 0.25 sec of blind. That way with it being re-applied every 0.25 sec, none of the target’s attacks can hit anything during the ~4 sec the birds are attacking. That would turn the skill into a combination damage / damage mitigation tool. Kind of a pseudo-stability (if they can’t hit you with a CC skill because they’re blinded, then it’s as good as stability against that one target).
The blind should be unblockable too (though the damage should be blockable). The blindness is caused by birds physically blocking your line of sight, not necessarily by them gouging your eyes.
That is fantastic! I love this idea.
Add in a blast finisher effect and we are done!
Its really not that difficult, come on.
Before attempting to fix something you first have to find out what the actual problem is:
- Population imbalance or no coverage at night.
My server for example is always very strong at the start of the week. We are usually up ahead in no time. At prime times we have great coverage and fights. At night, noone plays, literally noone, while the enemy zergs in 50-100 people and gains ticks for 2/3 of the day.
This leads to the next problem:
- A server should not be able to get points while the enemy is not even present!
So, what do we do? Get rid of ticks? Bad idea.
If only capturing and killing would grant points the server with more players would have capped out the map in no time and cant progres from that point on.
Shorter rounds? Probaby, but does not help at all during night times etc.
Obviously the solution is a mix of everything:
- A Match should only last for about 3 hours total! (Maybe even 2 hours) The server that has won the round gains a total score of plus 1 (Seperate scoring)
Edit: This is of utmost importance. As many have mentioned its is impossible to balance something that has a 24/7 uptime over a whole week
- Points via ticks must never be the only option to gain them. We need to be rewarded with points upon capturating a tower or camp. Also Killing someone should grant a point by default. An additional point if you stompt them with Bloodlust.
- Outnumbered buff should pop in if one server has 15% less population than any of the other two. A Match will not count towards the total score if one server had an outnumbered buff for 50% of the match duration.
Now, this is something that would certainly help.
If I imagine the scenario that we get matched with another server that has higher coverage at night for example. Only the matches during prime time would count towards the total score which is needed to determine the winner at the end of the week. (Which is absolutely fair. Its only logical that a match can only be ranked if the team sizes are sometwhat even)
All matches at night would be meaningless IF one server tries to zerg.
It does not even end here. Since this will lead to a lot less coverage at night on active servers if they are matched with one without night coverage, night times naturally becomes the roamers prime time.
If the outnumbered server has only a hand full of roamers the active server is forced to reduce their numbers to a few roamers themselves to be able to get a ranked match going. Again, even and fair.
With the simple introduction of these 3 changes not only population imbalance would be solved but also the unfair advantage of night time ticks which is the second most important problem that needs to be adressed.
I strongly believe that if a system like this would be enforced, the high population server guys would want to transfer down because they’d be restricted to play at night or absence of the enemy and thus make the overall population more balanced.
(Of coruse downgrading transfers must be free of charge)
Edit: Of course that system also has its flaws. If a server has been fighting for an hour and realizes they wont be able to win anymore, a major clan could just leave WvW for the rest of the match for it to not count in the end.
If this occurs a lot the match duration just need to be shortened even more. 1 hour total for example. Make the match duration be somewhat like the one of a Battlefield 2 game. This game has a similar scoring and capture system with ticks and kills but it works because of short rounds.
(Infact, I believe Anet could learn a lot just by looking at how the battlefield series handles its point and scoring system. The core mechanics are very similar to WvW)

Superior Rune of the Archer(6/6)
(1): You take 33% more damage. Pet is disabled.
(2): +50 Precision
(3): +50 Ferocity
(4): Attacks above 1500 Range have 33% chance of missing.
(5): +100 Precision
(6): +500 Range on ranged Auto attacks.
Superior Sigil of the Archer:
Can only be equipeed if “Superior Rune of the Archer” effect (6) is active.
+500 Range on ranged auto attacks and you take 33% more damage.
Attacks above 2000 Range have an additional 33% chance of missing.
This is not even that much of a troll or joke set. I honestly like to atleast try it out for a while.
Basically you loose your pet and take 66% more total damage but you’ll be sitting at 2500 Range.
Edit: Hell, I’d even go as far as introducing the utlity skill:
Archers Stance:
Roots you in place for 30 seconds. (Effect cannot be removed)
While active grants +500 range.
You take 33% more damage.
(edited by Flitzie.6082)
whatever it may be – said new profession. It must be utilizing a heavy crit, single target, high range, slow attacking longbow with No Pet.
Thank you.
Here, I got some request for you guys
I am fairly happy with my current look already but why not look out for other creative heads with good ideas.
Some simple guidelines:
- Human, Male, max height and muscular. Warrior profession.
- Has to look semi-realistic, semi-fantasy (Nothing to fancy or flashy, just believable)
- A great metal look. I want to see heavy plated armor.
- Realistic color-choices. Natural metal colors for example. Maybe some profession related colors (Red/Orange) for the ornaments or leather/cloth parts underneath the armor.
Have you tried going to LA or DR and asking in map chat if any guilds are recruiting?
Of course, daily.
I was invited to a public guild event session after some tequatl fight a long time ago.
Was guesting on Elona Reach for it but I forgot the name of said guild.
It appeared they do that regularly…
Sadly I cannot really be bothered to do tequatl anymore just to meet them again…
Well, I have to admit. At first I was confused about some of the claims being thrown around in the forums. I was just doing my events and enjoying the game as usual.
As I am and avid solo-player in PvE, that hates all types of group farming and would love to be able to just grind mobs for an hour or two, the group search tab is non-existant for me.
Just on accident I opened it up again… “SW chest farm taxi”
The ‘Aha!’-Moment of the year for me thus far.
First stack of bags: ~60g
Second stack of bags: ~55g
Third stack fo bags: ~65g (Got lucky here with two hoelbrak rune items)
Its incredible! Though, it takes a good 2 – 3 hours for a full stack.
That is still a solid 20-25g / hour. Almost double the amount of what you get from T6 farming!
It was a fun day of opening chests… ugh. Then again I wont continue this anymore.
Its boring!
Let alone, what am I going to do with all the gold anyway? I am still 70 laurels away from crafting a new set of armor and I dont need gold for anything else since gem-shop items sucks, legendaries look awful etc etc…
I appreciate it nontheless. A friend of mine is still working on his twilight so he’ll benefit from it.
I’d much rather wish for different/more ways to obtain laurels…

eh?! Have I been missing something?
Ill try that area again tomorrow.
I’ve been farming a couple of hours in the silverwastes but the rewards are not THAT great. of course you get a lot of loot. But its mostly trash loot and a few T6. maybe one or two exotics worth 5-10g a day. How is that a lot?
Maybe I haven’t found the most efficient route yet.
Of course mass-farming chests is awesome….
You get quite a good amount of silk though, this is a good thing. Maybe prices might drop, who knows.
+1 I support this.
I guess I wouldn’t use it that much as there is only one set of heavy armor skins that I like with the current skins available.
Nonetheless, the Idea is brilliant. Being able to throw a set of skins onto an outfit slot is a great option to safe some transmutation charges if you like to swap skins often.
I can see this being a success for both parties. The players and the company.
>Dolyak are adorable and so fluffy, but they are soooooo slow
:3 Haha
Give’em swiftness!
Well well. I am still looking for someone, please.
I am of course aware I’ll have to represent for them.
I love it too.
I’d like to see how the game plays if every pve map has only 1 waypoint at a major intersection/city/camp etc. Cities obviously still have multiple.
Or what would also work is 1 major waypoint for each map that you have to teleport to if you want to go there from outside that map and then minor waypoints inside for no cost at all. (Still less waypoints then currently maybe)
Kind of like WvW plays. If you want to enter WvW you’ll spawn at one of the 3 major keeps or that once camp in the battlegrounds. Then move on like usual.
Having a system like any of the above would concentrate the player base to certain waypoints and meeting-spots. Making a great spot to meet and prepare for a tour for example. The world would also seems more busy on those major intersections.
Also it would encourage staying alive and make exploring more interesting.
Currently you just hop from WP to WP hoping to travel as fast as possible.
That way you miss out on a lot of small details in the world :<
I’ve submitted 12 tickets
According to Taimis calculations that should be a solid 53% chance of winning.
Jk, its surely close to zero…
50% higher attackspeed on all Pve Mobs.
50-100% higher attack damage on all Pve Mobs.
100% better defensive stat scaling on players.
Make LoS’ing impossible. (For example higher Mob cleave damage, better mob AoE spells. Or just simply throw in some more objects where LoS’ing is currently being executed. I can think of many spots where a simple object like a box or tree or whatever would shot down the ability to LoS entirely.)
I’d love to test something like this for a few days and see how it works.
Well, comming from other open world PvP games like Lineage or Aion, WvW is the only true PvP for me. That being said I don’t like the Conquest mode that is PvP. I took me probably 10 games of Pvp to figure out this is not going to be something for me.
It is, essentially, a cage fight. Usually uneven fights and the problem that you can’t do anything against that because you are forced to stay on your points or there is just no space to escape to begin with.
Let me explain why I prefer WvW:
Quite simply the major reason – Openness. Imo many classes/builds rely on that.
I am even going as far as saying that a warriors best defense is to disengage. Besides the naturally higher defensive stats a warrior barely has anything to keep himself safe. A Ranger has range + tousands of dodges, a thief has stealth, a guardian crazy heals and blocks you get the idea. A warrior has to rely on his movement a lot.
Infact, In my opinion, that is the reason why PvP is limited to certain builds like Ham+Bow or Axe+Bow because you are tied to the gamemode and the nodes to capture. Not the other way around people claim a warrior is tied to a certain build.
Of course WvW also has a lot of unfair and uneven fights, but you have the option to avoid them completely, which in PvP you cannot.
The difference in gear and food is non-existant. People claiming that this is what ruins fair fights in WvW I cannot take seriously.
In a game where maxlevel is achieved in under a work-week. Exotic gear is being handed out for free and even ascended gear can be crafted easily after a months time there simply is nothing like gear-advantage at all.
I agree, some bufffood items are expensive. Then again, farm some Pve for an hour and you have 2 days worth of WvW fun again.
That being said, everyone has equal chances if they throw in at least a little effort.
Now, WvW has a lot of running that has been said already. But that is a good thing!
It is the practically the only penalty for death. You quite simply have to walk all over the place again. I am not a fan of crazy death penalties but there should be atleast some punishment for dying.
In a hectic game like WvW, a 3-5 minute walk is just about right as a penalty.
(I actually like that the new LS map has only one waypoint. Makes exploring and staying alive that much more awesome. Every open PvE map should have only one waypoint at a major intersection and be done with it)

Welp, got it. Thanks again. Still took me 3 more tries because by that one asuran guard the vines wont stop comming sometimes…
Maybe someone else will find enlightment with this topic aswell.
O.O I need to talk to them to make them return to their base ? Wow…
I am going to test that right away. Thanks man.
