My advice would be to sit down and create yourself a brand, figure out what it is your goals are, create your brand around that and work towards building a brand in that image. Be sure to control your brand and keep the people you interact with happy. A fan will tell his friends, and hater will tell everyone. It’s important to keep customer service in mind and make sure that any situations that arise are dealt with swiftly in a mater that keeps your brand integrity safe.

For growth, I highly recommend spending time with strangers and helping them along in their path. Just by meeting random people you can quickly increase your members as people befriend you. It’s hard to think, but Gaiscioch [GSCH] started as just a handful of people that wanted to create a chatroom to communicate with each other while they helped random newbies along. From there we grew and grew.

You will need at least 1 playmaker in your organization. Someone to stand up and lead regardless of how many people show up. You need someone that is tenacious and committed to being the face of your community. They need to be active in the genre that you are targeting and be ok with being a public figure people can get to know regardless of their guild affiliation.

Lastly, love what you do, do what you love, and keep your sights on where you want to go. In the end your happiness will determine the life of your guild.

I think we might be able to help you get reaquanted to Guild Wars 2. Gaiscioch runs several events every week designed for newer players and coming in august I plan to run a few “Intro to” events to try to introduce people to some different content they may have never noticed in GW2.

Now we aren’t the guild for all, we are family for many. I say this because not everyone will like being a part of us and that is totally ok. If we aren’t the place you feel at home we’ll help you find somewhere that better fits your goals and ambitions. We are not a community that stresses out over who’s wearing our tag, in fact all of our events are open to the public so anyone in any guild can attend. You might like to check out Gaiscioch (http://www.gsch.info), we have a fair share of PvE activities going on every day. If nothing else we’ll be a good intermediary to help you get acquainted with Guild Wars 2 and find that home your searching for. We put player satisfaction above the tag they wear on their head, so if we’re not the fit for you we’ll help you find the place that is. We’re a very mature community with our average age over 36 with our eldest member being 93 years of age.

All that said, since the game went megaserver you can join any guild on any server to pve with. What server you live on only affects where you can WvW. Everything else is seamless integration now. So you can join any guild on any server. That should give you some more options. If Old Timers Guild is still around I’d highly recommend them. Awesome group of folks to play with even if your not an old timer. Never heard or seen a bad thing about them and we’ve played against them and with them for almost a decade.

We run public guild missions for everyone in GW2 twice a week. It’s open to all. We run them in SORC which is a community events container so that everyone can get credit. Attendees get invited, longest away from game gets removed.

Missions & Tequatl are run every:

• Wednesday @ 4:30PM PT
• Saturday @ 11:00PM PT

Reminder PM’s are sent out 15 minutes before the event to those retaining a SORC membership.

Oceanic Players come out 11PM-2AM PT for some late night fun. Every week we take on Tequatl, Open Public Guild Missions & WvW in a 3 hour event for the Oceanic Primetime. Contact me for details. All are welcome, even people from other servers*.

I have a suggestion if it’s not already in the works. I would recommend that there be a way to place statues within a guild hall. Choose from each of the races and perhaps even classes.

As many of you know Gaiscioch suffered the loss of Roger “Oldroar” Rall before the game was even released. ArenaNet was kind enough to name Sanctum of Rall in his honor and place an NPC in game that shares his legend.

What many of you probably are unaware of is that we also have suffered the loss of two more very influential people in our community. Jexia.2406 passed away two weeks ago after fighting throat cancer for the past 2 years and last night we lost Frugster.3265. It would be wonderful if we can place statues within our halls to remember each of these members.

It would go the extra mile if we were able to have a plaque that we could customize to go with each statue. Allow people to enter it in a text field so that they could place messages on certain clickable placeable items.

Gaiscioch plans to build a memorial for these three members once HoT goes live. It would be wonderful if we were able to place statues for each of these members.

The personal attachment it would create for people would keep them playing regardless of where the game goes. From a business standpoint I would think this would be a golden opportunity to create that personal attachment all games seek to create. I know for Gaiscioch we have made it known that we will not leave GW2 until Sanctum of Rall is taken offline. No matter what happens to the game we will be keeping a chapter here because of that personal attachment to the name. This would create that feeling on a much larger scale.

For the past year, the Gaiscioch Magazine has been committed to bringing you epic stories, interviews, and perspectives directly to your desktop. In January, we shipped our 4th issue wrapping up our first year of publishing.

To our more than 10,000 readers, I give you my thanks. You have made this magazine quite special to a lot of us and we could not have been as successful without your diligent shares and tweets. At the very core of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community, one underlying premise has been at the very foundation of everything we do. It is our overall goal, the thing that drives us to do that which others deem impossible and our source of courage where there is none. I like to refer to this as “Exemplary People Inspiring Courage”. Whether its on the virtual battlefield or in our own real life, our commitment to helping people overcome their fears, insecurities, and limitations is at the very core of what we do.

I am pleased to announce here in Gaiscioch Magazine first that our community has decided to adopt a new slogan. “Live Epic”. Thanks. I was stuck between ranger and thief, because both of them have a play style that I like. As a matter a fact when I took one of the surveys it stated that the character that mostly fits me is charr ranger. Even though it wouldn’t be a bed choice, I don’t really like their area. It feels like I’m back in uniform from what I’ve seen so far. Any other suggestions for the race choice? I don’t know maybe it is because I was a warrior of the Blood leagen. So would you suggest to go what I like or what actually really fits my personality?

I find the best bet is to go with what you love. When the game launched Engineers sucked. Now they are one of the best classes in the game. Warriors at launch we’re op, and now they are on par with the rest. If you base your judgement on how a class plays now you will be disappointed when change comes on the horizon. If you play a class because you love it no matter what comes you’ll enjoy your class. The key is to play something and learn what works best for the way you play.

Just a note to let you know that once you meet the weekly gold cap it prevents you from taking items from mails too even if there is no gold involved. Our community was doing a fundraiser for prizes for an upcoming event series and I’m completely locked out of mail. I have 10 mails waiting all of which have attachments and I can’t delete any of them until next week.

Well unfortunately what I’m giving I don’t think you’ll need at level 80. It’s all stuff aimed at level 20’s or under. Not very useful otherwise. If you have any questions for me I’d be glad to answer!

I’m only about an >hour in…lvl 6 Ele. And yes, also pretty overwhelmed, although I have experience with many “hardcore” RPGs, this is my first MMORPG.

I can’t for the life of me figure out where the list of my dailies are. My Daily achievements tab just says “complete 3 PvE achievements”, but doesn’t list what it is I have to do. Is this a matter of me getting over a certain level before they start to show up??

This game seems to have a great community…I’ve already met a few nice people in-game that were happy to help out with my noobish problems.

I can confirm all build queues on all 5 of the guilds i run can only build 1 thing at a time and can not complete. They get stuck on 00:00.

1) What should I do with my equipments that I no longer need it?

Sell it on Trading Post (for max profit) or Vendor, Salvage it, or Mystic Forge it

2) If you’re gonna tell me to savage them, why should I do it?

Low level crafting supplies are harder to come by at max level. There are a lot of max level people who will pay top dollar for them on TP.

3) I’m confuse about the types of savage kits. There’s too many

Use the basic one for all white weapons, gold ones for Rare + (Yellow & Orange) if you don’t have any of the bigger ones (Mystic Forge created or Gem Bought)

4) If I want to earn gold for gems where should I start?

Farm low level crafting supplies such as Linen and sell them on Trading Post. Also run world boss train for maximum yellows which you can sell on TP for 25-50 silver each. Guild Mission runs also net very nice profits and you can use your karma to buy items to throw in the Mystic Forge which can result in precursors and exotics.

5) Should I level up my crafting skill? What are the benefits?

Yes, Only you can craft you ascended gear. You can’t buy it anywhere. There are only 2 ways to get it. Craft it or wait for it to drop off a creature. Additionally you will level up by doing so and will be able to flip a profit selling certain items on the TP. My Advice is do all professions on the same character. You can swap at any time and not lose your progress. A lot of recipes are shared and you’ll save money by having 1 character master them all rather than spreading it around and having to learn the same recipe multiple times.

Congratulations to Sanctum of Rall for their 5th straight week of being 1st in their Tier. Over the course of 13 weeks we’ve gone from decimated in last place (Rank 24) to forging our own future in tier 6 and beyond with rank 17 in our sights this week.

Over the years people have said a lot about Sanctum of Rall. But nothing speaks more than your courage, commitment, and perseverance to see through the darkness to the future you hold dear. The middle tiers have been great to us and we will continue to grow into a tier that we feel is right for us. Keep on driving SOR.
