Playing with healing turret, EG and withit with perma regeneration boon I’ll go for it. Anyway u don’t need precision on condition engineer – all important aspects don’t trigger on crit. Only sharpshooter – but this weak trait only gives 1-3 bleedings until the first bleeding ends already – no loss.
I do have the legendary Rifle (Predator) multiple tier3 amors, 1000+ gold, multiple precursor on my characters and I finished CoF one time for dungon master.
CoF indeed ruins this game, creates class racism. But it is the gamer base who creates his own burden! You don’t need CoF, u don’t need class racism, u don’t need gear check. Period.
There will never be balancing in PvE – Guild Wars 1 was also not balanced for pve. Why should anet balance for pve as long as all content is done by any class easily? It’s the player base who search for 4 warriors + mesmer. Which is totally kitten because if one warrior does not fine a good engi could outdamage him with grenades.
Engineer is awesome fine for pve: grenades do awesome damage + offensive condition support, bombs also hit hart + offensive condition support. Healing turret or super elixir support dungon partys well, flamethrower is still no viable kit, more like an utility kit as tool kit is. But players may missunderstand this still and attack with flamethrower #1 – opening threads comparing it with warriors greatsword lol
For me engineer feels smooth and stabilising – but there will no balancing in pve as long as dumb community searching for one 100% perfect group constellation while many other constellations are equal strong. You can do cof with 3 necros + 2 enginners close as fast as with usual farm group.
This class racism only comes from the worst of the worst players! Yes this is offense.

Engineer is your first choice for range dps – much more powerful then ele, necro, ranger, mesmer. We have awesome offensive support (blind, chill, cripple, immobilise, poison, vulnerability), decent group support and nice damage.
HGH is not your choice because it is the best 1 vs 3 build :-/
Maybe use kitten equipment on HGH for best 1 vs 1 build?!
You can use elixir gun #4 as leap forward. Anyway, I feel the same way u do: I am boss fighting 1vs 1-5 – can’t even remember last time losing a 1 vs 1 situation. But I changed to ethernal battlefields only for closer ways.
Just a little hint: if u use magnet and swap out of the kit, magnet will still go on and u can do other skills in this time. This may hide your purposes with magnet maybe. Important: don’t swap via weapon switch key but via utility key.
I often use this trick with Big Bomb and Jump shot (yes i love rifle) for an evil combo.

Your Ulti is duel winner and u don’t use it.
I got predater and I don’t regret it even if it is a (beautiful) sniper rifle which my engi shots from hips *lol. Anyway the grenade barrage is awesome and this alone is worth the legendary.
But if i get serious – playing fraktals level 50+ or roaming wvw – I mostly switch on p/p and then I regret not having to legendary pistols :-/
Engineers strength is independency. Roam around, defend something, catch up to big zerg fights. You can do everything so u should do everything. Because that’s much more powerful then any other role in wvw.
Apart from this, engineer is a great duelist: u can easly handle 1-3 enemies – with NPC help maybe more, especially playing HGH Grenades. But that fact just ends up in your multi role.
I use them and it is powerful with grenades like nothing else.
Are those enemies puppies or real players? Because they move like AI in 1980. Sorry mate, for me you play much too slow and engineer is not the choice for slow APM. Anyway congratulations on your “kills”.

U see retaliation on screen like confusion. Additional retaliation dmg in wvw is reduced to the half. I am preaty sure he was not killed by retaliation from a ranger. But for sure through conditions which are also not shown in combatlog. Anyway – an engineer should never got killed by a ranger… that confuses me the most because u were additional 2 vs 1?!
Egnineer did until the big grenade nerf of 10-15% on all grenades and additional 40% on grenade #1. Anyway, playing Power/Precision/ConditionDmg HGH Grenades still reach 6k DPS which is close to warriors dps but get’s tuned down by half condition duration on boss and by overwriting party members conditions. But this AoE vulnerability increases the dmg of the team on the other hand. Playing 3 zerker warriors, one Mesmer and one engineer in cof is imo already faster then 4zerker warriors. But in real there is no difference feeling.
Swap out and in. Perfectly timed with casting heal turret for example u even will not lose any time. Or u like to avoid beeing more powerful?
Sigil of Battle > Sigil of strength – remember the 2 seconds cooldown on strength makes this sigil giving u 4-5 additional Might stacks while Battle gives u 6-9.
For everyone not beeing enemie of course.

a) Grenade barrage has an awesome visiual and sound effect – doesn’t matter if u are in kit or on rifle. This fact alone is worth the legendary imo because it sounds so awesome and looks so awesome.
b) predator autoattack has nice sound but gets annoying if u hear it 24/7 – so I don’T mind playing most of the time in kits – so rifle attack stays special
c) best look walking around – no other rifle comes close
The only thing I mind is: the animation of the autoattack: it’s hip shot with rifle… but anyway every other good rifle has the same problem with hip shot.

Burn trait doesn’t matter anymore. Difference between 33% and 45% in bleeding per trait is about 1. So lol, no 45% is not worth it.
Nearly perfect HGH build with perfect equipment but not the sigils. They won’t stack. Change Sigil of Strength to Sigil of Corruption – then gg. I personaly prefer ascended trinkets with Vita/tought/cond – but that’s a personal choice.

Yes replace on pistol to a givers weapon. It is worth it.
Engineer is for mid range combat. So what is wrong with Rifle skills? Nothing.
Imo the strongest way to play Grenades is hybrid: Power and ConditionDmG together.
Crit and Crit damage does not add as much dmg as most ppl think. Simple example:
Add 1000 power to your base stats means 109% more dmg.
Add 1000 Precision AND +100% CritDmg means only 78% more Dmg.
Nougth said – Grenades are great running power and ConditionDmg. That’s why might stacking is much stronger then on any other build. Anyway – for PvE I mainly choose All-Stat-jewels and Knights/Rampager-Armor.
I would never use one of those bad ideas.

Blast finisher on posion grenades would just give u area weakness. Remember new fields overwrite old ones. Doesn’t matter what you are planing with this posion grenades – there will allways be a posion field overwriting everything.
So Anet could also just add weakness to the posion effect with same result . Lol.
Swap to elixir gun – rotate charakter 180° – press elixir gun #4.

Yes, Engineers are useless at the WvW and we all can say “THX” for that to ANET.
I’m sure there a lot of post about, “no, they are great”, but this posts from the solo-roamers, who able to kill only
1-24-5 enemy noobs. But they didn’t know that this is NOT WvW.
It’s a fun and powerful class but not that easy to play. Engineer has some really strong things to bring on table for PvE but the community is not ready for it. They still prefer weaker classes for high level fraktals or dungons instead of an engineer.
Ummmm…engineers do a lot more damage than necro and ele…….>.> and engineers attack a lot faster using bombs/grenades only thing is ele imo, has more support than engineer.
engineers have no condition spreads that are useful(elixir gun is not useful) Necromancers have possibly the best condition spreads, applications, and crowd control in the game. on that ground their damage is higher than Engineer’s. Elementalists have group support and spike AoE damage.( i guess grenade barrage counts as spike AoE damage, the grenade skills certainly don’t) i guess the problem with me posting a thread like this is i’m not counting PvE experience, and i won’t.

3/4 of the time AoE burning
3/4 of the time AoE chill
25 stacks AoE vulnerability
AoE blindnes every 4,8 seconds on average
+ awesome burst damge through might stacking with outclasses berserker ele allready. Lol. Now I know why your ratings sucks so hard, u never played engi.
and don’T forget: might stacking push ConditionDmg up to 2500+ stat points.
Anyway: if I do dps-messurements, I kill objekt nearly twice as fast as any ele and neraly as fast as berserker GS Warri. Srsly, engineer is a high schoolar class – don’T think u can play this class after 500 hours.

Just use grenades with berserker/knights/rampager/rabid/ all-stats -gear.
For me, thief does less dmg then engi in dungons. Anyway, only warrior is superior to engi . The point is 98 of 100 engis play kitten. No offense, this class just needs 500+ hours to be average. And some ppl just need much more time.
U must be kidding or playing engi with pistol/shield + EG…
Ele deals not that much dmg – maybe a 6. If ele is 10 in dmg, engi is 15 then and necro also 13. Just uninstall game – u have no clue.
So, name one other class where u don’t have a bad time not running 1-3 different builds?!
Less QQ, more GG – all issues engi has: other classes have this too.
Grenades are great for defending towers against small to medium-sized zergs, especially if you’re built for condition damage. Toss them into the zerg and watch the numbers fly. When someone is downed, spam grenades on him and you will likely finish him off (and down/kill any teammates who are trying to revive him).
Do you run condition based grenades or power? I find that conditions in general are not so powerful in WvW if you are running with anything more than 15 people.
Why no condition dmg with anything more than 15 people? Sure if u fight 15 vs 1, this poor guy will get any conditionstack – but your conditions tick first if u have more condition dmg than others.
In Zerg vs Zerg don’t see alot ppl with full stacks of conditions, and if I see them, they are instandly dead. There is not more waste through max condition stacks as overkill on direct dmg. And there is definitly no good reason to not play condition dmg in wvw.
Use grenades. Actually if u don’t like grenades … try to get used to grenades or roll another class. Grenades are the strongest way to play engineer and will ever be the strongest way (not my words, this was said by Anet in the last state of the game.)
Heal turret feels not that smooth to me like the second super elixir did. But that’s maybe a l2p problem – I am not used to play with turrets.
For me there are two options to use the turret:
a) set it on a save (backline) spot and just press overcharge every 15 sec for 2500+ party heal and 2 condition removes
b) set the turret where needed, press overcharge, wait for overcharge within 0-3 seconds and let explode the turret in the upcoming waterfield. The explosion combo adds another 1300+ close aoe heal. Preaty nice if you can add some more explosion finisher there.
I am preaty sure btw most devs are in love with bomb engi: the new armor stats (vita(power/tough) are perfect for tanky bomber, also the new heal turrets fits well in a bomb build. Additional they spoke about a buff for bombs in the last state of the game-talk – let’s see where engie goes…
Anyway, we are far away from topic now =)

The big deal with KF and fractals was the second super elixir. Not the 100nades. U can play the same Kit-swapping build now without KF but the new heal turret which supports your team even more then the second super elixir from KF.
Ppl don’t want engineers in “high level fractals and such things” because
a) many kitten engineers are out there
b) half of the engineer community has no clue how strong this class is, how can non-engineers have any clue then?
c) ppl cling on roles (WoW-style primary because to much wow-players in here) – wanting full tank guardians and full DDs instead of hybrids – not knowing 5 hybrids are much more powerful then 2 tanks with 2 DDs + anything in this game
d) engineers talk bad about their class not beeing able to play it right.
Apart from a good guardian, an engineer is your best choice in high level fractals.
But let’s get back to topic pls.

For the moment boonhate comes in another way as we thought: they don’t reduce the power of boons, they just create more skill/mechanics which convert/steal/whatever boons. I don’t espect a big nerf for might stacking anymore – maybe they change 4th bonus of runes with second bonus for no multiple use of boon duration.
Anyway, mightstacking affects any class: D/D-ele, only strong because of might stacking, GS-Warrior – only deals more dmg then even hammer or sword/sword because of might stacking, ….
Additional, engineer without mightstacking is much more worth/more powerful then most other classes without mightstacking.
Accept it or not: engineer is a powerful class as the jack of all roles in a game with no roles.
And now we wear med armor and do the same damage or less. (nerfed)
For good reason: engi is still one of the strongest classes.
Engineer was first planed as a heavy armored mid and close combat class.
Battle and earth do not work together. If one sigil goes on cooldown, all other sigils go on cooldown too. Sigill of Battle has a 9 sec cooldown.
Anyway, for me, sigil of battle is much more worth then sigil of earth. Maybe it’s because of my additional might-duration.
Rezzet is just not good in grenades it seems. Grenades are not only about skill shots, it’s much more perfect camera controll. Maybe he is not aware of this.
