I usually accept or send invites after a good solo fight. I won’t accept if there was some teabagging and dancing involved, but that’s just common sense.
Rabid Asuras Ganking Everyone [RAGE]
Lol’d. +1
Have you thought about re-binding your keys? I noticed your utilities are still binded on the original 6-0, for example you could bind your heal to Q and perhaps your elite to E, as you are not using the signets that actively anyways.
I was duoing with my sidekick and we bumped into this Far Shiverpeaks group outside of their Garrison. They outnumbered us but we gave it a go anyways. When we are running together, my job is to be a bait and kite while my sidekick finishes them off. We pew’d them and they pew’d us quite a few times till at some point this wild necromancer appears and he started to teabag my dead corpse (I was actually wondering if this is getting triggered by some hidden trait in Beastmastery traitline, since it seems to happen quite often and it only happens to me? It could be our guild’s raid night and out of 15 people they always choose to teabag me. I’m the only ranger in the guild as well.). That filthy thing! I don’t usually care about such silly things, but since it happened several times, I decided to be nice and return the favor. I started to hunt him down. I ran in the middle of the mob just to kill him, down him and then /dance on his body. Glorious victory!
Not sure if it’s blocked in some countries due the music but if it is, use this http://www.hidemyass.com/youtube-proxy/ and enjoy the show.
As for the build, last week I decided to give a go for Faux’s RRR build since I have been doing waaaaayyy too much solo roaming lately than it’s good for my /deaths record. I’m running 0/10/30/10/20 with apothecary armor set, some ascended + shaman trinkets mix and with whatever weapons I just happen to have in my inventory and I swap them as situations changes. My setup is no where as tanky and healicious as Faux’s full apo set, but this kinda shows the build is absolutely brilliant even if you are short in cash.
Well that Video is blocked for most Germans, so don’t expect much Feedback. Anyway you are an organised guild group with heavy deff. So we use siege if it helps us. And as you can see it doesn’t even help always.
You can use http://www.hidemyass.com/youtube-proxy/ ’n enjoy the show.
I hate when people post videos with music and it’s blocked in germany… Can’t watch them at work then ._.
But anyways:
Thanks for the quite interesting and fun bracket.
Most of the videos would be very dull without any music :< But feel no fear! You can use http://www.hidemyass.com/youtube-proxy/ to get around the blocks.
PS. FS [lion] necromancer. I’m still out to get you. The hunt is on till you accept my invitation for a 1vs1 dance.
You go get em. There are only a couple of instances where I think /laugh is appropriate. Someone using Dagger Storm on your team while you have retaliation up and do nothing else is one of those times.
However, /laugh after a fair fight – and especially one in your favor – is just disrespectful and deserves punishment.
I either /salute or /bow after a good fight, I don’t see any reason to be a silly bean and /laugh or /dance because after all one has to tank the floor. He gave me his wxp and badges, I don’t need to be a jerk about it. Except on this case. The necro shall and will suffer!
Frou video spam time!
Most of the Gandarians have been happy about not bumping into any rude people doing /dance and /laugh after getting stomped. However, for whatever reason it seems to happen to me, no matter which tier or server we face. It might be a hidden ranger trait too since even during our guild raids it’s only me who gets teabagged!
Anywho, I don’t usually mind it but this time after couple of good fights against FS by their garrison’s sentry, this one necro started to teabag me. We had been killing each other few times, I wiped his group with my sidekick, they wiped us, we wiped them and it went on and on till the teabaggery came along. I tried to invite the dudero into our party so I could challenge him for 1vs1 so we could see if the teabagging was justified, but he declined my invitation. So as any good citizen I started to hunt him down, diving into the mob just to take him down and /dance on his body. Revenge. Sweet sweet revenge. Malicious joy and the scream laughter in TS. And then a video. Enjoy. I know I did!
PS. FS [lion] necromancer. I’m still out to get you. The hunt is on till you accept my invitation for a 1vs1 dance.
Oh boy oh boy, this tier is so much fun! Solo/small team roaming friendly too, which is superawesometastic <3 If anyone’s up for duels n stoof, poke me in game por favor :>
Some small skirmishes from Saturday, thanksu guys for brilliant fights!
You know you can rebind your keys, right? i.e move the utility skills near your wasd movement buttons (For example you could bind q for heal, e for elite etc). I was a clicker too but I saw the light, I binded my keys, and now I can eat cake and pew pew without the click clickety click hassle!
Nice stream but I couldn’t get over one thing.. CLICKER!
It’s pretty irritating when you are in a hurry, trying to run as fast as possible to defend something only to get stuck in a falling loop. The weird thing about jumping down to the western camp Arah/Gods/idkwhatever, it doesn’t even seem to matter how high you jump, the loop is there, waiting for you.
Ah, lovely reset. Had lots of fun at MSBL, intense fights over Bay and Woodhaven :>
:<
Wait for another 6 months.
Aws, going to miss AG duderos. See you again in the future :<
Had superawesometastic time in AGBL camp yesterday, thanks to KISS, rddt, MYTH and the randoms that kept running back and stopping the 2 of us from capping it. Especially the MYTH ranger, you gots some balls of steel! Thanksu guise!
Might be a glitch, should perhaps file a bug report and hope no one gets banned for getting nifty and informative replies from him.
Aw yeaah dat pie. The weather looks rather green and has a scent of mad PvD in the air!
Thank you JDGE for that little small on small on AG now
Was fun, to bad we got hit by DTK which outmanned both of us together^^
Yes, it was lovely indeed! :>
First Tyrian problems.
Usually Saturday and Sunday mornings are pretty quiet, my favourite solo roaming time but this weekend it was rather.. Crowded. And coyotelicious. Had hard time finding small skirmishes and when I found some I ended up tanking the floor. Shoutout to dw necro and ranger buddy, was nice that the ranger didn’t get involved :> Also Tuppie hunt at the end of zeh video
The video quality is much better this time, won’t make you want to claw your eyes off. Switched some settings and tried out Sony Vegas Pro for editing, success! :>
So, let me get this straight,
you walked through fight club,
attacked people,
got the kitten beat out of you,
got cussed out for interrupting fight club,
and are now QQing about it on the forum?Man, if you ask me, the solution is simple. Just, you know, avoid the windmill. It really isn’t hard, and considering that is the main place for duels, it makes sense. You’re getting mad because you got cussed out, so what? Just report the players who said kitten and leave it at that.
The thing is, we didn’t cuss him but it was the other way around. I kindly told him to stop as we were dueling and I reminded him that we had been in the same situation the other day when I offered to ress him if he stops with the stomping. Next thing you see is a QQ river pouring from mapchat “i dont care if you are dueling or not im going to kill you all” and threats of getting reported for dueling. Aw yeaah.
I’m not exactly sure why you are acting like you would be some sort of a victim, since by the tone of your posts I think you are that Gandara dude from last night who was nowhere near the camp but actually behind the Windmill, finishing off the downed players? I warned you and so did the few other people there, you got killed because you didn’t stop (You can’t really use that you didn’t know as an excuse because if I recall right you did that the day before as well, yet you decided to come back again. Exactly the same spot, same map). As if it wasn’t enough, you then came back with a mesmer buddy.. Again nowhere near the camp. Behind the windmill. You got warned yet you didn’t stop. After you two got killed again you moved on to shout at us in mapchat how you would bring even more of your friends next time and how you reported us for “interrupting your gameplay” and breaking ToS.
We are not trading points as no one gets wxp from downing one. You won’t even get 1 kill recorded in your WvW progression because downing doesn’t count as killing. Only thing it counts as is fun and if that’s against the ToS, then please by all means, ban me already because I do enjoy and have fun while dueling other players.
At least for us it’s usually in a map that has no queues, late in the night when most of the guild raids are over and there isn’t much going on anyways. I don’t see how it’s destroying it for anyone.
I’d actually enjoy the video more if the fights weren’t speeded up.
Some of the fights are quite long. I can’t stand watching through 3-4 minute fights myself. Sorry if the speeding up was a bit annoying, but that was more for me than anyone else lol.
Eh, don’t be sorry. It’s a personal preference really. I like to see what’s happening, which skill combos were used as well as the lost fights, since those are usually the best once because you learn from those more than the roflstomp victory ones. Either way, eager to see the finished video :>
I’d actually enjoy the video more if the fights weren’t speeded up.
Copy paste the link instead of clicking, GW2 forums tends to kitten and barf bad links.
Zigwah, you might get infracted by silly forum mods for posting that screenshot. Even if you were right, they will end up deleting your post and giving you negative karma for it (been there, done that!) as it’s more or less naming and shaming. Just report them via ticket and the evil doers will get pushed off of the cliff or whatever punishments Anet nowadays uses, k? k.
ANet continues to not understand why spirits and pets are bad or is clearly unwilling to address the issues.
pets move behind enemies; thats certainly a start (… well the better hitting on moving targets was a start… but w/e)
… i agree with you about them not seeming to understand why spirits are bad (though clearly they are trying to adress the issue)The problem is that there are things that are fundamentally wrong with the ranger class and its trait lines, utilities design, etc. The issues with these items will not be resolved without fundamental changes. They will NOT be resolved with the current approach which is focused on keeping everything the same and fiddling with a few knobs hoping to find the sweet spot. There is no sweet spot under the current ranger paradigm… you would need to boost everything until it’s OP, at which point it’s still bad but for different reasons.
To fix the ranger some utilities need to be tossed, some trait lines need to be tossed and re-done.
What “hopeful” rangers seem to fail to understand was this this patch is the final patch of their first balance patch. There is nothing else coming down the pipe except minor tweaks for several months. As far as ANet is concerned this is a good final state for the ranger which means, spirit still suck (banners still put spirits to shame) and pets still suck for non-PvP/skirmish stuff, none of the issues with weapons that people have been raising since the beginning have been addressed (or even mentioned).
This patch is terrible because it is all buffs but still fails. This speaks to a fundamental misalignment between ANet’s core philosophy for the ranger and where the ideal ranger fits in non-PvP/Skirmish roles.
Wow, where did you get all this inside information from Anet? Did Jon Peters tell you all that? He’s a troll you know… :p
They said it in the interview that the patches after this one are only going to be some small bug fixes and tooltip corrections.
P.S.S. My ranger can kill an army of afk and upleveled noobies in WvWvW too.
Some silly herpderping @ AR BL on Sunday, starting with the silliest fight ever! Thanksu random AR guardian, it was awesome battle, hi5!
Aww yeaaaah. Lol’d.
Perhaps you don’t have to worry about the gold so much as the next topic you prolly end up making will be “omg halp gmz pls I got hackinated!!1!”.
I’m a bit unsure what to think here really – Jon Peters is a designer yet he did say he can’t make a simple gif? I hope the dudes working on the texture are at least aware of what they are doing, because that ain’t a rainbow jellyfish as it’s lacking quite a few colors to live up for it’s name.
I have a pet question that I don’t think has been brought up yet, although I did not read every post in great detail…
Pets and dungeons don’t mix very well and they become a big pain in the butt for any group I’m in. A lot of bosses have skills that target a single player in the group. For example, the Jade Maw boss in fractals will often choose pets to place the skull icon on. Obviously my pet can’t pick up a crystal and toss it at the Maw like a player is supposed to. I can’t hide my pet in combat, so there is no way around this time sink for my group. Another example is the jelly fish boss in the Aquatic Ruins Fractal. My pet will sometimes get eaten, but can’t “fight” his way out. My only way around this is to switch pets, but if my swap is on cool down it’s pointless. So, I have to leave my pet on passive the entire fight, crippling my DPS.
I’m sure there are other situations like this I am not listing off the top of my head. Can we please consider changing these type of skills to not target pets?
Robert explained in some other topic earlier that the Jade Maw targetting is there to give your group some extra time to rescue your downed friends while your pet gets turned into a sausage. It has helped me and my group few times, but it gets rather irritating when my pet keeps on getting targetted several times in a row tho.
Broken link. Please repost!
Copy paste the link and it will work.
We can but are they aren’t exactly that good when you compare to the other classes.
Some solo herpderping and dueling, quality á la cereal box. Bare with me!

That Riverside warrior lowbie @ AG BL who was teabagging, dancing, sitting, sleeping on top of my body, fondling my womanly parts while I was tanking the floor, I’m going to get you. I’ll find you. I’m going to hide legos inside of your shoes and leave dirty laundry inside of your fridge. Sadly I don’t even remember your guild tag or how you look like so I’ll just have to kill every single RS and do exactly the same things to them. Viva la memory of a goldfish!
Sharing my silly omg-rangers-hax-woah-I-just-reported-you-moment from sPvP. I’m running a condition/healing power BM build in sPvP and my pet killed this warrior (hundred blades hero) guy few times and he got very mad when he couldn’t get me down. I swapped pets around and he still continued whining over my pets doing double skills…
(edited by FrouFrou.4958)
Great stuff, Xsorus. After watching one of your videos, I guess my question is really how much do you think Pain Inverter does for your build? Is the build worth it without it? No doubt that retaliation and confusion helps a lot. =P
I don’t think otherwise, mind. Just wondering your thoughts on it.
I run similar condition build and my ranger is human yet it still works amazingly. I also run it in Wv3 for duels but in bigger scale it’s pretty bad as your pet is dead most of the time.
As for Ranger DPS not matching thief burst… yeah, that’s pretty obvious – I don’t think I’m rocking some boat by saying that. I accept that trade-off of lacking burst potential for having a better toolbox of things I can do to survive while outputting consistent DPS.
Wait what, rangers have better survivability than thieves? Since when?
I heard the golems were owl shaped. And they had a smelly brown thing on top of their head.
I thought the title said Out of France, was like dahfuuq?
But is anyone left to see your awesome title then?
Zumy have my babies please.
As I mentioned in TDS gc on the other day I’ve been recording our poking lately. Here’s some duels from last Sunday :>
(edited by FrouFrou.4958)
Chill bro, don’t be so agro! Bada bum tss!
Anywho, was doing some duels again last night and started to pay more attention on “shotgunning” and boy, did it help! I got this warrior down I haven’t been able to take before because I always lacked the tiny bit of of damage. Muchos thanksus for that tip :>
Was fun, to bad we got hit by DTK which outmanned both of us together^^
