Of course ppl use it, clever ppl still use it… Soooo good pressure, not our fault if you can’t use it when it can be usefull.

I really like this skill,, as i said on another thread, if they reduce the delay of the skill, i’ll be able to burst like a crazy ele, make it ground targeted and i’ll hate the skill. Because you can pressure someone hiding behind something really easily.

SnD just isnt as effective in WvW VS a skilled DnD ele. Anet as improved the SnD since Day1 but a simple skill like dragon tooth needs a buff especially if F3 on DnD is now being made an evade skill. F3 can hit hard while being an immediate attack and a combo with e4 and soon to be A3 on DnD. But play what you like.

Having tried your template with minor modification for 2 weeks now, i have included it in the approved list of templates for Eles. But then again the template requires alot of skill over the standard classic build.

When you competing against a super stacked server like BG, any help is good help. At this moment, BG has grown so large that they have to turn guilds away.

In BWE, everyone was digging EB. As the months went, and GW2 went live, the orbs in the various BLs spread the action across the 4 maps. With the fight for PPT and then the leagues, the BLs are still constantly a spot for battles. EOTM is a kill fest. Gaming should be fun and with EOTM, anet has allowed that. I do wish orbs would replace the bloodlust ruins.

They are implementing a dx11.2 GW2 engine by the time ps4 becomes main stream

Go with Defense with guards first then Guard killer. Getting a total of 230 ranks is not a walk in the park so wasting even 1 point on something else pushes you to get 231 ranks. After 230 ranks, save every point there after for the two new masteries coming out very soon.

Anet has not released a date that they will refund rank points so you will be wise to save every single one past 230.

I have to agree, our elites are rather lacklustre (not including FGS) But i am curious, doing 6-10k Crit damage using the Meteor Storm into Tornado – what would the same skill do without using Tornado? But yes, slightly off topic.

In my view:

Lightening Flash – Decent skill, mostly used to get Churning Earth off, will only work once due to the person will know right after and be able to avoid it most of the time. I do question the extra 10second cool down for the added little damage.

Armour of Earth – Even with the cool down reduction i find it rather weak. I think what would help would having it so that it grants extra Toughness for the duration as well, the boons can be easily removed by several classes.

Cleansing Fire – Decent condition removal, the Burning is rather weak and the cool down is rather high. Unless built for condition damage it is rather weak and does that justify such a high cool down? In my opinion no.

Mist Form – Rather high cool down, low duration i think it should remove ALL of – stuns, cripple, Chill, , Immobilize

That is it, none of them are really “wow, that is a must have skill” You take Armour of Earth or Mist Form because in most cases you know that you need defence

Again it depends on traits and playstyle. I prefer offensive use of said spells.

Not sure about spvp, but i think the warrior and engie class were made for the beginners.

They have long cool downs because you are meant to use them in a strategic manner.

Aside from the number of bonuses they give, cantrips are used by the best WvW eles as offensive weapons while the new ele uses them as crutches.

Anyway the boon duration difference is so minute its not even noticeable

Also lets wait and see what really happens. Everyone knows that Anet has been beating up the ele , then loving it, then beating it, and so forth, its like a love hate relationship.

Eles need to survive. Hence -50% condi is the norm.

And the direct damage as being a dnd is main damage with Condi damage as a nice bonus damage. This is why power is very important for any ele build.

230 is needed for full guard leech and might bonus. Top two traitlines in the WvW trait window.

Aye. Please do not put any points in other trait lines because the next WXP reset has not be announced yet although many thought it would be around mid December 2013.

There are guilds just focused on GvG. Find em and u r set.

DnD ele with either the classic 0/10/0/30/30 or 0/0/20/20/30 with knight,soldier mix and celestial thrown in. Ascended weapons and trinkets are important. Ascended is not a must have as off yet. You will also need rank 230 to compete effectively nowadays with roaming unless u just roll a warrior.

Eventually they will have to cluster NA servers up just like what happened in DAoC.

EU cant be clustered with NA due to technical limitations. But like in DaOC , wierd things can happen. Also dont forget on the secret DX11.2 GW2 engine that Anet is working on. That will be released in 2016-2017 which will follow by release of oculus rift support.

What is your choice? To level up by WvW or PvP or Pve?

Eles are not the worst roamers. Infact DnD eles have the most fun cause we duo,trio 5man,zerg,gvg at any time with anyone.

Anet wanted us to be the jack of all trades, and so we are. The jack of all trades and master of none. This is also why any build must be balanced.

LOL while we are at it if we have rifles,motars and guns, why cant some clever asuran make an AK-47 ? That would be so epic. Imagine a zerg of 80 running at you , and you pull out that AK 47 and wipe everyone clean

This is not a large sample and shouldnt be used to shoot down a season 2.

It depends on your enemy and luck. 1v1 is easy 90% of the time. 1v2 is 50%. 1v3 is 10% and 1v4 is usally zero chance when playing a classic DnD. Not a full bunker but a hybrid one.

Enemies are getting better by the day so if u find a noob pve grp, dont feel too proud.

I have a kill death ratio of 9.2 to 1 and do mostly roaming.

Will this get me banned if i use it?

Good tips. Also remember to use water attunement for no longer then is needed. Same with earth,fire. This is because attunement swapping keeps your boons up,removes conditions,adds damage and so forth. Also learn how to use lightning flash(we call it LF) to get up slopes, edges, escape, to induce extra damage for that last 1k of hitpoints left on the enemy and as a tool to disorient your enemy. Cantri[s, i.e. Mistform,etc are used as crutches if you are a beginner since the nerf.

They should just make ascended Armour purchasable with laurels and badges OR permit them to be sold on the TP.
