Any NA from T2 down would be good. Possibly even T1 but I don’t know personally how impacted thier EU coverage is. IMO you wouldn’t want anything lower than T3, other have mentioned good servers and they are like NSP but your play times would mean you are pretty much PvDing.

For coverage times T3 or lower are going to be really quiet for your time. For example, SoS has lots NA offtime and you will go against more servers with a better chance of similar coverage. So for a EU clock queues should be few on NA servers.

At this point it’s mostly fighting for second, great fights all around this week. I miss INC. CD and BP you have faced more higher tier servers recently. How do you think IOJ will do in silver league? We know we have some things to work on, our turnout was still a lot weaker than I’d expect.

I would say IoJ has a good shot at 2nd or 3rd place in Silver. Ehmry is easily beat these days by BP…Dragonwagon’s, wagon has moved on.

You are really looking at Maguuma and SBI (if SoS takes DB’s at 6). Magummy bears really lack off NA and if IoJ can capitalize on that, they have a shot. SBI looks to be the 800 lb gorilla just needs to see how it fairs vs Magummy but it should be fine due to coverage.

Until they face SoS or Maguuma, it’s all pointless speculation.

Pretty good speculation…SBI has decent off NA presence and its getting better. NA was your weaker zone now DDLG, BAEST, and others have shored that up. I hear you are also getting Dragon Riders from Borlis soon. Magummy bears don’t have a night presence so even if they match up with your NA (still think with what you have now that want be a problem) your SEA/Oceanic will have a good chance of turning everything to paper…which only makes their NA worse.

SoS is weak in NA but strong in off, so this is where you will have problems…depending on xfers

Nice attempt at being funny or your just bad on thief….Thief can easily hit higher than that on a tanky warrior. There is a post up right now of a warrior with ~3.4k armor getting bursted for 2.3k steal, 11.2k BS, 6.5k Cnd, 3.7k heartseeker…thats 23.7k damage against a person who is built to tank…not glass not underpants TANK.

I have seen this kinda damage before on my warrior as well and the heartseeker hit higher. Thief just repeated until he got me…had a fail attempt poofed and reset, never saw him coming then BAM got the crits he needed gg.

Weapons I have 1 staff Dire W/geo sigil, 1 scepter Dire w/Geo, 2 Dire daggers (1 with corruption, the other Bursting) I do have a legendary dagger so thats the one that has bursting.

Well…. if you are running a low crit build, you want to be using an on swap sigil. If you are using an on-swap sigil, you are hurting yourself by not taking the same effect on both your staff and your Main Hand (as the cooldown is up for every swap).

Most builds will be Geo/Bursting and Geo, or Battle/Bursting and Battle.

The only build I run double bursting would be in a non-swap crit build, like Earth/Bursting and Bursting.

The on swap effects are too good to pass up for bursting on staff if you can guarantee the effect. If you run Earth on your mainhand set, you cannot get a reliable swap effect. Battle for instance gives you more damage than bursting for the 3 might duration, and more power, and it lasts 20 seconds, so it can compound over a fight to give lots of might.

TLDR:
Bursting on both sets for crit builds focused on damage. Bursting on Offhand only for swap builds (low crit).

Also just to note, Settler and Dire have no ascended trinkets available. You can only get Apothecary. So if you are going for full ascended, you may want to start with Apothecary there, and fill in the gaps with Settler/Dire on your armor/weapons.

Didn’t look at settler but there is pretty much a Dire version… major stats are Tough, Vit, Condi…with a paltry 18 in precision.

Lol warriros and everything else can hit as hard or sometimes harder if you go all out in DPS. This is not only thieves. In fact warriors can have 2.5k plus armor and hit way harder

but that warrior will get squished and have no where near the escape means. Ran into a thief like this last night…Playing necro with 27k health. Never saw him coming, just 10k BS, 6k CnD, 6K HS, usually lightning proc in there…if he didn’t drop me by landing all crits I then got him to 25% and poof off he went….to reset and try again. So he either popped in dropping me or poofed out at 25% either way the party never had time to catch him.

Now a warrior sure could rush in and drop a ton of damage…but he won’t survive getting back out. + you will see him coming and can prep… lay down marks/wells

I have searched a lot and could not find any recent(due to new sigils)builds, for a low crit build.

Recently switched from carrion to Dire/Scavenging runes for WvW/Pve purpose. Have bursting/energy on scepter dagger, Staff?

Whats everyone else using for their sets?? I havent seen any build using bursting on on both sets so it makes me wonder am I missing something.

Bought about 30-40 daggers and swords…not a ton but will still be nice profit. Picked em all up for just over 1g ea when I heard the musings on possible ways to implement MF change. Figure ehh its pretty much impossible to lose unless they simply detroy the MF item.

So we got matched up with IoJ this week and we’re getting destroyed lol. Just wondering how a former T2 server who used to match with BG and SoR came all the way to down to T7. We have no where near the dedication to WvW they do…2 nights ago 4 omegas came to take our keep. Seriously? I rarely ever see more than 4 cannons being built on our side at one time. But we still have lots of fun, and the scores are usually close. But now it’s like 300k to 87k or something…so lame.

We had a 50 Omega Golem rush/stomp across our BL against Borlis tier 4. Four golems not so bad.

Most probably not making it past the spawn camp of all the thiefs…I ran out a quite a few times last night and got jumped by about 3-5 stealth spammers consistently. Pretty annoying, down 1 and refuge goes up and he is back up or they just stealth/ran when health low and reset then come back to annoy.

I did see a solo asura magummy bear from kitten , props to him, for going against all the DB thiefs…magummy BL I believe.

Joined the zerg and had fun smashing into DB and Mag zerg’s then we got caught in the middle of both…11-12 server time. Good fun

How can they say that when it’s random probability is probability and not a guarantee…also who has dedicated playtimes everyday this isn’t a job although it feels like it sometimes. That assumption is again relying on you being able to be chained to your comp almost every day for prob 4+ hours each and every day and even then it’s still RNG.

Did you miss the part where I said 30+ hours by that account I should have seen the map I needed at least 3 times almost…RNG is a B^%@ and that’s why in certain things it should be stopped. Nah this isnt a grind at all

I spent all weekend camping the invasions, prob close to 30+ hours and never saw Dredgehaunt cliffs pop up I would love to be able to get back to not having to make sure I stop whatever I am doing and be ready to check every hour…I even logged in today while getting ready for work to make sure the event I needed didn’t pop in the 1 hour before I left.

If I wasn’t stuck at 12/13 might not care but that close is driving me crazy that the one I need just won’t come up yet I have seen Timberline, Gendarran and others up to 3+ times some even back to back.

So please in the future not everyone can be logged in 24 hours a day, now that I am back to work my window is quite smaller to hit the ones I need.

That was a massive GOLEM rush by BP over night. We were fighting about 10 BP south Bay when “Holy Cow!” went out in map chat. That holy cow came from one of our scouts that spotted the 10-15? GOLEMS in the water. I jumped in the water and saw the GOLEMS and about 30 BP. Nice save DH.

He’s implying that DH’s score is a result of BP and YB ignoring us and doesn’t actually mean we’re competitive. Keep in mind that he’s also the one saying this thread doesn’t have enough drama.

That is the implication but it’s not to say DH is not good. We focus on the favorite and try to bring them down rather than pad our ppt by hitting the smaller. Every major group I ran with this weekend we were either in our BL or YB BL.

We did attack DH BL Bay last night and we met with some very heavy resistance, AC’s oh my…I am sure you had some happy shooters. We had to pull out as you guys were great in defending. We jumped maps back to YB and took their bay much easier.

Anyway if we don’t meet again this next week, it was great fighting SBI and NSP. I am sure there were some memorable fights to be had by all.

SBI nice LoS hacking in Hills with AC’s to destroy our siege defense in Lords room….and you still got pushed out for missing the contesting of WP.

We had 20 golems we thought it would be funny to portal bomb Omega’s in the lords room. 15 golems and quite a few people gave you loot bags, enjoy em, we had fun doing it win/lose. The match clearly won so it didn’t matter what we did at that point.

Look at the chat on the screens posted you see any serious strategy in there? “omg where are all the commanders(everyone turned their hats on” “we should be playing the star wars march” Seriously if you didn’t know that was for fun, you are dense.

Then we took off to EB and went around clashing into several HoD/DR zergs. We got tons of bags, it was fun. We all switched to pink zerg and one point we were like lets jump off here and pincer their zerg, we jumped but it was a little too far….

*I like the 2 HoD(i think) cows that were “Top Secret” near our zerg. Don’t know if the puggers killed you but TS people lulz and we ran by…very sneaky.

I have no doubt PAXA could pull off great things given the numbers, you guys are well coordinated but it is a whole lot easier coordinating 5 people then 20+ thats just fact no slight to PAXA or any of the other skirmishers. A commander hat quickly attracts all the puggers and BP was mainly a pug server.
