I agree with what you said about queuing for borderland maps and spreading the WvW community across all the servers. This would really help the people with high queue times that aren’t happy with the hour/s of waiting.

Putting a SM in all the borderlands would make the maps more desirable and people would most likely queue more for the borderlands. The three maps are identical, so why not just make them all Eternal Battleground maps? Just joking btw… Can’t wait for the article on WvW, Thanx for the heads up!. :P

How I would solve queue times.

I think if it worked like Tol Barad in WoW where each side had to have an equal amount of players to queue would fix the problem. Meaning if 150 people where in EB per server(450 total), each server would have to have at least 1 in the queue for someone else to get in.

It would force people to evenly spread out throughout the servers eventually reducing queue times. The only other way I see queue times being reduced other than that is A) upgrading the server hardware to handle more clients per map which is unlikely, B ) adding additional maps to WvW for people to queue in, but won’t happen soon if it was the course Anet chose.

The best option would be to have players make their own games, but this would require a complete overhaul on WvW(Due to population issues). This would make it where anyone at anytime could be in a WvW match, and give guilds and alliances more lead way in controlling their own games. This would also have more of a GvG or AvA effect then the current mechanics of WvW. As it stands now, it would be really hard for most servers to find the people to fill the maps tho.

Hopefully that blog Colin talked about comes out soon, I’m curious as to what Anet plans on dealing with these issues. I think in the end, there is really no easy answers to the problems at hand in WvW including Queue issues.

For WvWvW I use a short bow main hand for the AoE and Dagger/Dagger to kill off single targets. Using Poison and Cluster Bomb does the the best damage against larger forces. Using daggers is great if you know when to switch and when not too, usually I finish people off with a dagger and use Dancing Dagger to keep them in range. Bringing Dagger Storm is great in WvWvW for larger forces, and Thieves Guild is great for smaller forces. I haven’t yet engaged in SPvP, and I don’t really PvE.

Randomly loading in players when near them, this is ruining WVW.

It’s a system wide setting known as clipping. The players don’t clip in graphically to not overload the server and the player’s hardware. This is supposed to reduce lag and hardware resource load. There is nothing that can be done to fix this on the players end and is entirely controlled by Anet. This was added during the BWE events to reduce the WvWvW server lag, and to lower the resource load on the players end.

I fail to see how reporting a bug in the game can make an alliance or server look bad. If it is a bug, it’s obviously not working as intended. If that bug is being used to someone’s advantage, then they are exploiting the bug. Enough said.

PS: I’m not exactly sure what the bug is. Can someone explain?

The bug is where people hit the Keep lord and kill him through the lower floor with falling damage such as Arrow Carts and Elementalist Metor Shower. Then they go cap w/o a keep lord defending. The lord just sits there and dies making it easier to cap.

The keep lord buffs the allies and does massive damage. It would be a lot harder to take SM if he was actually there and fighting.

Is a fan site attempting to keep track of the ranks.

Not at all a valid ranking system. Anet will have a page for rankings after bugs and exploits are fixed in WvWvW and it is on a 2 week schedule.

Annoying Sound Bug

I’ve tried moving my sound sliders from Stable to Latency, Low to High Quality, and turning on or off playing sound in the background. None of this seems to work, and this bug happens randomly throughout WvWvW only for me. I can say I notice it happening more when there is a huge influx of people on a map around me.

For Example:

The bug happens a lot when approaching a Tower or Keep Gate and it is heavily defended. The second I reach the gate the bug happens. I’ve never seen this happen outside of WvWvW or when there isn’t a lot of defenders around me.
