Yes, they are usable and result in tradeable legendaries.
Well for starters, Anet stated that they estimated only 5% of players to ever achieve a legendary weapon. This is a design choice, it is meant to be that hard.
The “play casual and get everything you want” dosn’t apply to legendaries. It applies to gear in general. Getting the best gear in the game doesn’t take more than 1-2 hours of play per day, and because of that hardcore players won’t have an advantage over casusal players in that way. Ascended gear somewhat killed this principle, but that was the general idea. You can’t expect everything to be served to you on a silver platter. There must be something that rewards hardcore players, else you will lose them sooner or later.
Regarding the gold, I feel you contradict yourself. You say the value is low and the prices are high. If the value is low, the prices aren’t high. Besides, inflation happens in every game, and you profit from it just as much as it costs you. Everytime you sell something, you earn more due to inflation, and everytime you sell something you pay more due to it. It nullifies each other in the long run.
The gem prices reflect this inflation. The less the value of gold is, the more people are willing to pay for gems. If you can’t afford to buy gems with gold, the solution is simple. Pay for them with cash. This is how it was intended from the beginning. The gold -> gems conversion is just a very nice act from Anet’s side to allow us to get gemstore items without real life money. It was never intended to be the main source of gems. Be glad that we have this feature, it’s more than most other Microtransaction based games offer.
People have been reporting this since day one of leagues. Yes, the achievment is bugged to some degree, just as most of the other leagueachievements. Sometimes they will progress, sometimes they don’t. Seeing how this is a very common and widespread bug and how little is done with it, it looks like Anet put on their Deal-with-it-sunglasses.
But don’t give up. It’s not 100% bugged, it will acknowledge your efforts eventually.
If you need it that badly, log onto your warrior (everyone has one) and use sword leap. Actually works better than the jump pads, as you can take your time to aim where you want to jump.

Yeah, it doesn’t work. Wanted to complete it on my mesmer but soon gave up. Logged onto my Warrior and completed it using Sword leapskill. Not how it’s supposed to be done, but worked very well for me. Makes it easier to control where you jump too. So you can try that if you don’t want to wait for a fix.
What do I win?
A Vial of OP’s Condensed Rage Essence and a bucket filled with QQ tears.
anet are balancing the game mostly for pve.

Thanks for making worldevents like Shatterer and Fire Elemental more challenging and interesting by tripling their health.
That’s what critters are there for.
The cost of such an item would have to be astronomical, as even players who never play WvW are currently drowning in badges due to achievement chests.
Predicted this weeks ago after seeing ori and ancient wood spike when ascended weapons were introduced. Bought a ton of gossamer for 1.2s and leather for 30 c.
When this is over I can probably rightclick a legendary…

Like almost every other wvw achievment, Demolition Expert is bugged. Sometimes you get it with one hit, sometimes you ram it down from 100% to 0% and get nothing.
It’s simple: Kill them back, then dance on their corpse.
Hint: Gather the key pieces in your own Borderlands, then move to an enemy BL and walk straight into the vault with a trollface
Also, i have on multiple occasions rammed a gate from 100 to 0% without getting credit for it.
Every sentry held could give your servers dolyaks passive +5% movespeed.
There should be substantial incentive for people to get out there and work hard for their server.
Are you implying that people who fled to the highranked servers are working harder than those facing impossible odds and still trying to do what they can?
I’m on Underworld and it was clear from the beginning that we would end up last in EU Silver League.This means we actually have to work harder on many occasions to get things done. A big gap in rewards based on server performance would no doubt be unfair, because the end-score to a certain degree already was set before the season even began.
It’s like making one pupil from each grade, 1 trough 9, fight each other and telling them that who wins the most fights gets the most candy in the end.

And what exactly did you want to accomplish with this thread? The more time Devs spend reading unconstructive threads like these, the less time they spend fixing skill lag.
Well, there’s one thing that makes this more believable than mnay other theories around here: It does require many things, but not gold. Imagine precursor crafting requiring lots of ascended and t6 materials. The end result would be the same as today, with you spending 100s of gold on your pre.
So I think that, when the crafting is implemented, it will definitely look something like what OP posted.
When I jump/jump-dodge immediately after taking fall damage, most of the time i take fall damage again. ( A little less the second time)
Generally not a big issue, but this has had me killed in several fights.

There is a bauble missing in World 1 Zone 3 Checkpoint 3, preventing me from completing the all baubles achievment. On top of the log there’s supposed to be 5 baubles, but only 4 are present. I tried this both regular mode and infantile mode, multiple runs and doublechecked with different guides to make sure it was no other bauble i missed that caused me to not get the achievment. ( In all guides there’s 5 baubles on the log, but every run i tried there were 4)
How can you not like them? I love them on my dreamer. Besides, if there was one thing this legendary needed, it’s more rainbows and more unicorns.
You can still redeem your tickets at the black lion weapon specialist as far as i know. Just click though the tabs and you should find the jade ones.
Well, i saw someone linking the ascended longbow “Wupwup’s Bow” or something. Stood next to the guy and he actually had it on his back. Didn’t take a screen but some people most definitely have them.
Yes, rares are definately the way to go. 1 round of rares is ~1g. You need ~5 rounds to get an exotic, though the 5th one is for “free”, as you get at least a rare in return for your first 4 tries. That makes 4g per exotic. Considering how most exotics are ~2g, using rares will give you back 50% of the money spent, as long as you sell all exos on TP.
Regarding The Colossus, there is nothing to it, except that your gf is unlucky. That’s RnG for you. Some win, some lose. She’ll get it eventually.
