I’m getting a tad tired of the fact all new skins are just that, skins.
That’s fine and all, but there’s much more to weapons in the game than it’s look. Effects, sounds, animations!
Say the Zodiac Warhorn skin, it looks like a rooster, why can’t it just have a fun rooster sound when you blow it?
Or say aetherblade greatsword skin, it obviously has a lot parts that could move but don’t. Or say the aetherblade staff, it basically looks like a tesla coil and it could have this electric swoosh whenever it’d be used.
Not a whole lot of things in this game have these types of things. I’m not asking for everything to be legendary, no, but say the wintersday pop-gun, it pops! That’s what makes it great and a very liked weapon, not because of it’s skin, actually barely because of that.
What was great about the SAB skins also was that they made a sound! They made a nice 8bit sound, it gave them a lot more character.

I bug reported this in november last year. Same thing happens with all other GS except legendary.
Pen shelter champs wipe zergs of 20+. Good testing anet.
Kinda feels little hollow to do one of the hardest things in the game and not get some bragging rights from it. Would be nice to get a title for it. Anyone else who got it feel like it?

Ya this is immensly annoying on liandri fight. You pick up crystal and it reset your cooldown thus making a weapon switch after a throw impossible even though you had no cooldown before picking it up! This is a terrible bug.
Isn’t this basically the case with deadeye as well?

Reflects from guard do hit him and it’s overpowered in that fight.
Try cleansing ire build, shield/bow, keep spamming f1 to get rid of condis and youll also be doing damage to liandri while youre running way. I haven’t finished it with this method yet but gotten up to 7 crystals.
Am I the only who thinks its absolutely frustrating to have say shield block the roof attack of liandri but not the clones?
Or aegis or shield block not working against deadeye’s oneshot while wall of reflection and endure pain does.
Let’s not mention little things like traits such as warrior Last Stand not working against liandri orb pull.
There was way too little testing and explanation gone into the gauntlet. It’s otherwisely a nice challenge but there needs to be more transparency with what works and what doesn’t.
Inconsistency of block skills.
You see, warrior shield 5 and endure pain, they block some things, don’t others.
Guardian aegis and bubbles, they block some things, don’t others.
It’s frustrating to have this terrible inconsistency where you just won’t tell the players what’s gonna work and what’s not gonna work.
I just wish the greenblue change would have been in this one. The amount you get is way out there.
Sure but what was the point of removing the excess silk a while back when all youd end up doing was put it right back..

It does suck. Also it doesn’t help the range of pure mats that drop is very small + excess leather/silk.

Yeah and if you want to deactivate gambits because of some reason you dont get a refund.
I swear, all these champ boxes and loot bags still drop silk and leather like nothing happened in bazaar? First you take out excess silk from tp and now you put it right back in there?
Wouldn’t it be better just to replace them with trophies or something..

It’s me being too greedy or it’s me expecting to have more because of my experience with a class such as elementalist who get’s access to a ton of easy to manage combo fields?
You could be less demeaning, but whatever. I guess engineer just needs a higher learning curve to access same amounts of combos as ele.

What a fleshed out wonderful character.
Considering the toolkits taking space for the utility finishers(instead having to route yourself through a kit into a skill to find the combo) maybe its the fact of just being used to having many finishers at my disposal with normal weapon skills and utilities that makes me feel like it could have more than what it does.. (I have a lot of experience with ele guard war and thief)
But I mean, doesn’t it feel like there are skills (like flamethrower flame blast) that should be combo-something at least? Or is this just me? Just seems you need to take great lengths to end up with combos while a lot of skills feel like (from past experience) they should have some sort of combos.

Yeah I wonder. I haven’t even seen anyone use them so I couldn’t be able to confirm if they have animations when wielded.
I just started playing engineer. After having many other classes, it feels like engineer doesnt have a whole lot of combos and when a combo should be appropriate i.e. Flamethrower flameBLAST, it’s not even a finisher? What? Bomb kit has a couple fields, grenades too, no finishers aside from f skills though… what gives?
Yeah too bad it seems they cannot seperate the fact this is a videogame and not a real life market.

So with all these new skins and armors, its all through gemstore or miniscule chance of rng through selective playmodes.
When are we getting content like dungeons where we can earn new weapons and sets through normal play like in the old dungeons? Why is this game now following the steps of f2p monetizing when it’s not an f2p game per se? Nothing new is available through guaranteed METHODS of play. It’s not rewarding when it’s all about luck since you cannot rely on it.
The way to get anything new in the game is either you farm cof p1 (before its nerfed) and turn that gold into new things or you just dont get it.
Sure you want people to spend real money but, then it just becomes pay to get anything new. Or pay to win, not in the literal sense of win, but if your end game revolves around cosmetics and the only way to get them is through real money then, what else is it?
I’d suggest they take a look at their old mechanics and start offering things through actual dedicated gameplay, it gives people a reason to do stuff and a reason to log in. Nothing like finishing those 1380 tokens to get a full set is there?
And please no “you dont need it therefor you cant complain”

And yes ever since closing(not literal) of orr farm, everything has slowly but steadily risen in price.
The first issue that really got out of hand was t6 dust price. You can say it’s fixed now, but in reality, it was never fixed. See, the prices remained alright because they used to drop, then nerfs came along and then some more nerfs.
The droprate of t6 is worse than it ever was before, but since you can salvage the ecto everyone gets by doing world events all day, it’s ok.
Now for the other mats? Just wait till the prices go above and beyond and anet will make another non-fix for them, maybe.
The t6 nerfs could be basically aimed at the fact anet thinks people got their hands on legendaries too quick, thus “finishing” the game faster than they wanted. It’s a desperate means to fix something that didn’t need fixing.
There’s some other underlying problems but I’d imagine this is the basic gist of it. And I speak from experience on the nerfs. Been playing since september 2012, I’ve seen it all. T6 has never this un-farmable.
Also just to note, anet desperately wants people to do living world content, so these nerfs have quite directly pushed people out of the old end game content to do this new content so it’s more popular.
Wouldn’t it be awkward to have people do living world stuff on patch days and then rest of the 2 weeks go back to orr? Heh.

I don’t know, they’ve gotten pretty far with this transmutation system but as the game progresses it just feels more and more conveluted and, yes, inflexible.
So it’d create as much chaos and confusion as possible.
sun 5 ignores everything and if you keep holding it you can just go forever. So EH. The maps not big.
