This has never been my experience. What I get is map appropriate loot, like level 1-15 loot from queensdale no matter if my char is 80 or not. I wish I was getting level 70-80 drops in lower zones, would give me a little incentive to go back there,.

You do get high level loot from low level mobs if you’re on a high level character. You also get the low level loot, but sometimes it’s scaled to your own level (Unless it’s changed within the last few weeks). Or maybe you just havn’t tried it enough or been unlucky.

This is just mind boggling. Tell you what, I’ll go farm 18 slot bags full with my MF gear in queensdale and kessex hill and I’ll screenshot what I get.

Edit: there you go. Top is queensdale, bottom is kessex. There was only 1 level 76 item which was Travelers krytan mace with magic find – rest was worthless junk and low level mats. Dat loot scaling. Not to mention the awfully low drop rate where 3-6 mobs = 1 item.

What is most ironic about this is, take your level 80 to a level 15 zone, you will get mostly level 70-80 drops. So you actually get better drops farming one hit moa’s in starter areas then farming lower level players in wvw.

The speed buffs do no stack.

Also, Windborne dagger is broken and will not give you a speed buff.

Wow that is lame..

None stack, only the highest applies.
And since you´re ele, just forget about those and roll with perma swiftness. Well unless you try to perma stealth the wvw JP.

What, what’s the point of so many speed buffs when you can’t even stack them???

I mean really now, according to simple mathematics
Air – IV – 25%
Air Signet – 25%
Arcana – IX – 15%

That’s a whopping 65% without any speed skills, but why does it feel like I’m not moving that fast at all? Has anyone tested if it stacks that much or does it cap at some odd number?

you get an item that is below your level very much is because the enemy you kill invader/defender is not level 80
that is from my experience because i play a thief and the 1st enemy die under my dagger is mostly those who is not level 80
It drops according to the level of mobs/enemy you killed

but if i kill a level 80 as a lowbie, i dont get level 80 gear do i?

No but loot scaling should, well, scale with your level. You never get over your level gear as lowbie, as you shouldn’t. What a dumb argument. How are hardcore wvw’ers supposed to get money to upgrade stuff when all they get is crap loot with no value.

Well that’s just stupid. Theyre punishing higher level players for killing lower level ones? If you cant handle wvw then don’t be here, why arenanet thinks this is a good idea? it just prevents from people actually getting money in wvw thus making pve more so profitable thus making people not want to play wvw because, well, it gives nothing in return.

Your argument is broken because it is based in semantics, in this case a skill level of player which you cannot bring into equation as I have stated above.

Better skill doesn’t make up for lost 30% crit damage(or vitality, toughness, condition damage, you name it) no matter how you look at it. Good day.

You do not bring skill into the equasion because it is uncertain and instead we go for the common denominator, which is, everyone is average, otherwise the argument turns into semantics. There’s bad MF players and there’s good; whatever the case is, the missing stat makes a difference no matter what.

Whatever the case is;

Every set has 3 stats that help you fight and survive longer, mf does none of those and instead grants 1 person better loot instead of contribution to the rest of the team. This is why MF is a bad mechanic and awards selfish players.

Nothing right now, no. But at least, if they’re not going to make us do legendary things(aside from legendary farming), please keep them always cost around the same. Getting gold hasn’t gotten any easier, so why do late-adopers have to do twice the work compared to earlier ones? Just stupid.

With that said, I also don’t understand why 1 handed legendaries take same amount of work as 2 handed one’s. Now that’s just dumb.

To on a more serious note, yes I feel like the legendary quest should be balanced every month at least so that it doesn’t become too difficult nor too easy, but sticks in the same level. With that they also need to upgrade current legendaries and give us new ones.. real bad.

Adding fear to defiant was the worst thing ever.

Why don’t they just add damage to defiant as well? On the 5th hit you actually do damage! That would be neat game design!!!

So I have the awesome looking toy golem tonic here and when I go idle I start to wait for something to happen like with most tonics and… nothing? No animation whatsoever, nada.

Even the minipet has idle animations, why doesn’t the tonic do? Especially for sucha cool looking unique toy it’s just shame that it got the shortest end of the stick, even the princess and toy soldier have idle animations AND dances!

Get rid of the signets except signet of rage in later levels they don’t add anything.

Signet of stamina is amazing endurance regen, dolyak is fantastic for extra stability + the +100 toughness. I agree signet of might and fury are a little less good as they bring not a whole lot, though fury grants you full adrenaline which means you can keep shooting Combustive Shots more often esp. in wvw where it does a ton of damage.

Also they are nice when you eat crits, but otherwise Might, Fury and Healing are a bit eh overall.

As for OP, you might not find good dps and survivability in many builds because how the game was made, but what I do is eat all my crits with sigil of blood and nourishment. If you do a TON of crits you will replenish health so fast it’s not even funny and you still keep your damage pretty high.

Think of it as an Extended Diminished Returns Experience (EDRA).

EDRA is FUN! Since EDRA is based on RNG in Fractals of the Mist we can be sure that it is fun. Anyone can DC at any point and is then unable to come back – something which adds an additional flavor to this new form of dungeon.

EDRA protects the economy. Since Fractals of the Mist is intended to be done by 5 players, EDRA offers players a safety net against too cheap Globs of Ectoplasm and rare weapons, and/or armor.

EDRA adds challenge. Have you ever felt the frustration of Fractals being too easy? EDRA adds challenge to Fractals by adding the potential experience of experiencing a 4, 3 or even 2 player Fractal of the Mists run. It is impossible to not be excited with so much RNG around. Also, experience.

EDRA is ever evolving: being unable to reconnect after a DC in Fractals of the Mists is not the only way that EDRA will be implemented in the game. To combat the rarity of EDRA, it has been introduced on trial in the Cliffside Fractal where the final encounter becomes unfinishable on a RNG basis.

I can say that I am very excited by the introduction and expansion of EDRA and I hope you are too.

You do not need agony to reach lvl 30+. You do need agony to survive jade maw. If you have a solid party, they will see a good player dodging every agony attack and im pretty sure they’d be okay with you dying in jade maw. Agony is a huge spoil factor to people who basically in other words, need to Learn to Dodge.

Sounds like you haven’t even played the dungeon. At level 20, jade maw agony kills anyone with 5+ ag resistance or less. You don’t dodge that agony. There’s a couple more places where it’s impossible to dodge agony because it’s area wide.

Yes I was just pointing out, 200 total runs of fractals yet im stuck because of something based on luck. And I have done over a week of dailies now yes, don’t know exactly how many but it’s enough to be stupid to not let me progress.

It’s not about skill anymore at all when RGN is the only thing preventing you from moving forward in fotm. Don’t get rings, but have done 200 total runs? Dailies for over a week now. Why is this even a thing? You should limit RGN to certain confirmed number where you actually get it no matter what, because this isn’t fun, skill-based, nor rewarding anymore. Bad game design is what it is.

Can we get a response as to why they think luck is the right way to go about it? I’m very interested. I don’t mind RNG most of the time all that much, but this is on a whole new level.
