What are they supposed to do? I don’t actually see a problem with the market or with precursors in that price range. Don’t get me wrong … I get where you are coming from. You just want to buy cheap precursors. Maybe you have some incorrect assumptions that you need to re-evaluate and align to the expectations set indirectly by Anet through the ability to purchase a precursor.

Since when is 300g cheap? When is 400g cheap? When are those cheap when the rest of the stuff you need also costs around those numbers anyway?

I farmed my kitten off to get the hunter, I got up to what it’s price was when I started, now it’s 200 more g than it was. I’ve also tried the forge since that’s what people keep saying to those who don’t want to save up these amounts, you know what, kitten don’t work either. Go troll somewhere else little guy.

They’re ignoring it because designing new content is hard. Fixing content is even MORE difficult for anet. Just look at stuff like Necro Weapon swap bug.

OP – You could always just make a Precursor using the Mystic Forge method. It’s a lot more fun than waiting for TP prices to drop. And it’s technically free if you farm a lot, and get Rares/Exotics of the weapon you want.

400g fun. Sure is. A lot of fun. The toilet is so much fun.

Well yea gold to gems, but if you just buy gems from store its a nice discount heh. Sadly end of the month is when I have the least money.. Otherwise I would have bought like 300 :P

And this is why anet probably wont introduce anything worth it to the store because people keep spending real money on lottery tickets that provide nothing of value 99.9% of the time. Ah one can dream of a day people finally stop doing that.

Well there’s the problem, with search patterns like scallywag it might as well start basing around on luck finding them. Sure some are easier, but when you activate a mission and it gives you two massive pathings then you’re gonna have a huge problem for small guilds. The time limit is just enough to actually track down these things and then there’s the lack of dps of smaller guilds which will drain the tiem too far. I’m not saying it should be clear where they are gonna be, but to size down these things for smaller guilds would be really nice.

And I don’t know what type of conditions the testers are under, but to have a lot of people coordinate succesfully through guild chat within a 15 minute time limit is a little over the top, no?

Coordination is fine and dandy, but smaller guilds will have even HARDER time to complete these things. It is insane to require 18+ people to watch over a select few bosses. You know what, my guild used to be very active, but ever since the patches have done literally nothing good to end game or the existing content (pre dec-patches) we’ve been losing members like flies. These kinds of requirements are starting to really become an insane job to undertake and require now RNG, OR LUCK AS YOU MAY, to complete if you don’t have people to track down every single boss.

How about you size down requirements for smaller guilds? Or is it really that you want those to disappear and have large guilds as, you know, subtle promotion to your lackluster game? The 15 minute timer as is, is an insane job for the guilds I run with, and there are plenty. Of course if you don’t give a kitten then there will be none, as you wish.

If they make everything else worthwhile, sure. If not, no.

I feel sad for the loss of loot. I remember fighting them and every grub they spawned would drop loot if you killed it.. now it gives absolutely nothing. It was a nice concept at least.

You could have sold those extra ectos and gotten mats with them instead of trying your luck at something you already achieved.

Since they got no actual overall content to bring you back with, they gate the very little content you might, or probably do, want.

I think you’re overvaluing what was created by bots during that time period. GW2 is massive (by definition I suppose, but also in reality) what those bots made for a couple of weeks isn’t 1/1000th of the total turn of this economy since launch.

I then made eight attempts at one Clover which yielded:
Mystic Clover
2 Elaborate Totems
2 Ancient Wood Planks
Cured Hardened Leather Section
4 Vials of Powerful Blood
Mystic Clover
2 Ancient Bones
3 Bolts of Gossamer

That is over one month of daily Mystic Coins for two Mystic Clovers. I feel like this entire process will lead to just farming CoF Path 1 just to get enough gold to buy more Mystic Coins and Ectoplasms. Pretty discouraging really.

The demand for precursors is not going to drop. This is a given. Why was it when the prices were closing in to 400g anet said theyd be fixing this. They did for a brief time and now it’s worse than ever. People ran out of things to do, this isn’t an excuse to artifically make a legendary ultra super duper rare. Not especially when it’s first “intention” was to be a showcase of our accomplishments and achivements and it amounts to nothing but farming insane amounts of gold? Wat.

Well of course you can then argue youll become a hero of tyria and accomplish it all when you buy 100 000gems.
