Will the skins from the BLC be account bound or tradable as well?

I’m starting to think that the drop rate on this thing is bugged. It’s just standard staff with no particle effects yet its currently one of the rarest weapons in the game?

Wait, so does that mean that legendaries are trade-able?

Yeah, I would love to be able to wear the pirate outfit in combat instead of the ugly medium armor alternative. I just would rather look the way I want to all the time, not just in certain circumstance like being in town. That’s why I won’t buy town clothes.

So far most “PvP-inspired” changes have been for the good in PvE, including today’s greatsword changes for the Guardian – weapon is much more fluid now, making it more situational whether you should swap to another weapon set or not. Guardian’s hammer is next in line, I believe.

As for PvE/PvP split, there is actually one in place, except it’s poorly documented and not really advertised by Anet. Couple that up with poor, incomplete or misleading trait descriptions (Warrior’s Stronger Bowstrings anyone? It changes the whole mechanic of longbow weapon, not just range of it’s skills!), and you’re in for a real treat in the “Omg I’m confused!” department.

What else does stronger bow strings do?

Catch up mechanics. Most good competitive games have them. WvW has the opposite.

We need a score system that increases score values as the match-up goes on. This not only adds in the much needed catch up ability of the losing team, but also makes the final hours of each match the most climatic and exciting instead of the most boring and anti-climatic. Right now, the team that can reach the areas first in a match and score points early have a HUGE advantage (which in EU is in the middle of the night). This is completely backwards to what would be the most fun, suspenseful, and balanced.

Also, those Orbs of Power really need to give PvE buffs. It’s pretty dire. And the out-manned buffs need to actually encourage/help the players that are disadvantaged, not encourage them to avoid battle.

I’m pretty sure they have said in the past that boss chests don’t drop anything that you can’t get other places. That’s because it would require players to grind certain boss over and over, which is something they’ve said they don’t want to do.

I’d also really like to know this.

Why not restrict sending mail to only your friends to stop gold selling spam?

Giving more tokens or reducing the price is unfair to those people who already played dozens of dungeons and maybe even bought gear for those tokens.

And not doing it is unfair to the game because it makes one of the more repeatable content types feel like more of a grind than it needs to. We weren’t going to release a perfect game, and can’t let things live this stop us from improving the experience for the majority of the players.

I’m curious, wouldn’t you guys be able to retro-actively give more tokens to those players that have already purchased dungeon gear? Especially in the cases of CM and AC which have exotics that aren’t even level 80, making getting max gear and the appearance you want harder than for people that prefer the look of the other dungeons. It almost feels like I am being punished for liking certain skins over others.

Completely agree. This would make asking for help from guild members much less of a chore because they will have way more options (alts) to actually use the gear from that dungeon then they do with just 1 character allowed to benefit from their hard work.

Also it will help keep the grind more interesting sense you can experience the runs with different playstyles without doubling your required effort (by forcing us to work for two separate versions of the same currency when only 1 weapon/armor set is desired).

In DDO you do have to pay postage to send mail, but I do not know how the system works.

How many scenarios can you imagine where you would REALLY need to send someone something, but have no money at all to send it with? Now counter those scenarios with all the spam emails that get sent out EACH day.

What if whenever you sent mail to someone you had to include 1s (or some other smallish amount)? The receiver could then send it back if it was a friend, but a gold seller would actually have to pay his victim to spam them.

They’ve said in the past that it would be possible. Can we just get AT LEAST a yes or no on this now?

The problem with mob balancing is Mob Based AoE. Do away with that, and the problem is greatly reduced.

CM is a prime example of this. The bandits are ALWAYS more of a threat then the bosses.

The fact that AC/CM rewards arent level 80 still blows my mind.

So, basically… there is no way for me to currently get a weapon from another order or do we just not know about it yet? If not, is that intentional or just something not added in yet?

There is a way to get the order skins for a guy not in the order I think if the transmutation stones don’t soulbind the gear.

Basically, you get a non-soulbound item that has the stats you want. (crafted probably)
Transmute that to look like the order item.
Then you put it in bank and ship it to whomever is going to use that.

Though I kinda have to say that once you’ve completed the entire story quest, it would be nice to get access to the gear.
After all, you kinda are an authority figure to all of the orders, so it shouldn’t be too much to ask to get the standard issue gear from them.

Does transmuting work like that? I was thinking that if an item is soulbound, the transmuted version of that item would also be soulbound to the same character.

There are transmutation stones that allow you to apply the appearance of one item to the stats of another. Im not sure how to get end game ones yet though I have heard you can make them in the mystic forge somehow.

However I dont think there will be any way to change orders since it plays a pretty major role in the personal story.

They’ve said before that it would be possible.

I have been wondering the exact same thing. I just want a weapon for an order I didn’t choose. I remember that they said that we would be able to do it “with a little effort”, but can’t find out how.
