If you really think that, you’re doing it wrong. PPT is ~90% population\coverage and has nothing to do with how well anyone actually plays. Stressing over the things you cannot control (population\coverage) is what leads to servers falling apart.

Anyone who has faced BT in open field combat should agree with this. Same goes for Agg.

They’re tough as nails, and very skilled. PPT may not always reflect that.

Gellor I know how much you love DB and always defend it but I suggest you have a talk with Fuzzion, officers in [TW] or [Choo] as well as likely several other top Guilds out there.

This isn’t a “secret” because it was all over the T1 Thread a few weeks back.

I read the T1 thread, we ahd people posting things like “see ya in a few” blah blah blah. Not once did I read “We are buying guilds”. So please if you have proof or if they do post it here.

And actually, yeah, total server population and WvW turnout tend to correlate. When they don’t (it happened with Kaineng) bad things tend to happen to the server. TC has been pretty stable and well populated I’ll grant you, but you can’t possibly be suggesting that she has never recruited WvW guilds. As someone pointed out earlier, DB is only getting pooped on because they happened/are happening more recently. Full stop.

This has been answered by someone in this thread.. They received CD guilds and 1 FA. It’s no big deal

What you said explicitly states you think TC should be scrutinized for its server status going to full in the same that DB is for being a bandwagon destination. How is this anything other than an attempt at derision. It’s fine if it is but don’t play so innocent.

No, what that passage says is that DB is being ripped for increasing their population, and TC isn’t despite being full. DB is not (at least not that I’ve seen) but we’re the ones getting pooped on for some reason.

Pointing out a double standard should not be taken as an insult to the server, it should be taken as a smack on the nose to forum warriors. It just seems a little silly to me to mock DB for its population/turnout increase when it still has less than TC. I mean hell, TC is full right now and it’s 2pm EST on a weekday.

2) Most everybody I’ve talked to on TC has great respect for the original Dragonbrand Guilds and Players. The reason you are “feeling the heat” is because of how Rawnoodles has been going about his “campaign” to turn DB into his own personal T1 fiefdom. It took less than a week for him to post on these forums that he was an “Official Representative” of DB and he and [RE] at the very least are self-admittedly out there looking to “buy” Guilds.

Maybe [CO] wasn’t any part of that (most likely I’d guess) but you are getting lumped in with the dross just based on the timing of your switch and your attempts to defend something that is in fact happening.

Why is DB doing so bad now? From winning by over 80k to losing badly in 3rd, are they just not showing up? What exactly is going on.

I’m going to clear this up for everyone.
(Pre-Transfers)
1) DB was in T3 for months with hopes of making into T2 because we were frankly to big for T3. However, we all know glicko is moronic and in order to continue to gain points you need to keep increasing your score. The problem was the Mag/Yak’s had almost no night coverage ( why is this a problem, you are thinking) so our NA crew (which was small as you guys remember) had to work extra hard to make sure we could keep our score the same or increase it. This went on for weeks, where DB would be outmanned in our home BL trying to defend while at the same time trying to win by over 200k at the end. Finally that day came where we would get to move into T2.
(Transfers)
2)The 1st two weeks DB was excited to be in T2 and we wanted to prove to people that we could win in T2 and not just because of our SEA (amazing) crew. So that is what happened.
3) By the third week, I think the past couple months caught up with us and the new transfer guilds (which we needed to stay in T2) started farming gold for either their members or other guild’s members. (I’ve been on DB but I’m farming some coin to help some CO members transfer).

So it’s a combination of these things. However, you will still find DB fighting!

Back during the whole “Isle of Jaspenwood” thing, we had a lot more courtesy regarding your transfers than you’re having about ours.

Every post coming out of FA is just “Dragonwagon this” or “Brandwagon that”,

I’ve decided that Asudementio wanted an easy stomp (like he had when FA was in T3 – even after their IoJ transfers) . He (notice i said he, and not the whole FA) didn’t get the easy win and is bitter about it.

I’ve never seen anyone complain so much about an abundance of targets on the field and a decently competitive tier.

I don’t want an easy stomp but don’t let me persuade you otherwise. What i want is a competitive tier with well-mannered opponents, but i gave up on that long ago when i first saw how DB decided to portray themselves. No one i playwith enjoys easy fights, but we enjoy condescending kitteny opponents even less.

Some TC bashed DB before we got into T2, so what is that portraying? Yea let’s generalize an entire server because of what some individuals said or did.

With some of the attitudes that your server mates have been showing toward non [RE] members of DB the feeling would be mutual

I’ve been on DB since launch, so if you know the servers history you know we’ve been on both sides of this issue. I’ve come to realize this is just part of human nature and therefore part of this game. Like i said I’ve been on DB for a long time and i do have a certain amount of loyalty to my server, but no amount of loyalty will ever make me continue to sacrifice my free time to do something that is not enjoyable to me anymore.

This is really what it boils down to. People find enjoyment in different ways. some people are only happy when they win, some people are only looking for good fights and some find enjoyment in seeing their sever rise to the top. Who is to say which one is better/more noble. Obviously this guild was either no longer having fun where they were, or they are moving to a place where they think they will have more fun then where they are now. So please keep this thread civil and stop bashing this guild for trying to find enjoyment.

I largely would agree with your points, but from another perspective, a guild leaving a server to go to another possibly negatively impacts the play experiences of both their former servermates and new tier foes.

We are ALL fundamentally selfish (myself included obviously), hence such behavior is understandable but no less frustrating for those not benefiting.

I don’t know much about FA’s presence during the various timeslots, but surely it’d make more sense to move to FA or even a server in Tier 3 or Tier 4.

It seems JQ is in somewhat dire straits atm, so you’re basically unbalancing both tiers.

Hah, what feels wrong about this transfer, compared to all the other ones, was that it was a stack onto an already dominant timeslot.
I didn’t mind the IOJ Oceanics going to FA, the CD SEA crew to TC, the NA groups going to DB. But when you stack onto an already dominant timeslot, it kinda hints that you want to
1. help push a server to another bracket
or
2. don’t want to be challenged and become stronger.

although FA has a bigger population than any T3 server, from my experience, they are also the one with the best players and have smaller server population among the T2

What I love about this is seeing people rip RE/Omen for transferring out of JQ then being total kittenhats to DB, and then try to recruit new guilds. Really why would someone transfer to JQ when it’s clear, if they don’t fit in or like it they will be publicly ripped by a select few JQ members?

We don’t mind being in T2. It gives us a chance to build chemistry with new guilds/ work with smaller guilds/ talk to pugs about WvW. Plus TC/FA can bring great fights and field awesome guilds..

NNK is probably one of the few guilds I have respect for on DB. they have stuck with DB for… ever. I just hope that when DB collapses (lets face it, it will happen like it does to pretty much every server that gets bandwagoned) that NNK stays on DB. true showing of server pride.

Fun fact: NNK hasn’t been in DB since day one. In fact, they started out in JQ.

We were ticking +460 twelve hours ago, so no, I don’t think we’re falling apart. TC is still stronger during NA prime on weekdays, I think, but I haven’t really noticed any drop in activity on our end.

Except it’s guild mission/living story night for most guilds so yes tonight there is a drop

DB is doing fine, they dont have high NA numbers so yeah we are doing better during NA times.

We actually have good NA numbers just not on a couple days a week. Been like that for a while. I expect DB to be out in full force tonight

You can hit there with a wider FOV from multiple monitors or window adjustment and an Arrow cart to the right side of the door. with regards to the FOV thing please read this

Yeah but Lani and others were pretty vocal about complaining about it when our guys apparently did it. My point really is that all servers are doing it. Personally I’m not overly ticked about it, it’s annoying sure, and there are ways to counter it, but I wanted to point out that the previous pages decrying this .. well you get what I’m saying.
