If you think two guilds are going to help you in Tier 1, you misunderstand how much of a difference there is between Tier 1 and Tier 2.

You guys faced SoR along with a Tier 4 capable SoS, and got demolished by 125,229 points.

If you guys had to face another Tier 1 server instead of a Tier 4 thrown into the mix, you would have had a hard time of it. Sure they can help take the pressure off, but you guys stole points from SoS. You won’t be stealing easy points from JQ or BG.

This RNG in WvW helps you, but you guys aren’t within 2 guilds of competing in Tier 1, not by a long shot.

When DB was in Tier 1, their Oceanic/SEA got demolished. This was the same Oceanic/SEA that dominated us for weeks in Tier 2.

There’s a HUGE difference in Tier 1 and Tier 2.

First off Wyld is right SykkoB is from SoR.

Second he might be closer to the truth than you think.

The same week that TC faced SoR, JQ lost to BG by ~110,000 points. This week JQ is in 3rd but only trailing by 20k points.

TC doesn’t have close to the coverage to win “Tier 1” or beat SoR or BG 1v1 but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t have a fun, competitive, and much more closely-balanced match against 2 T1 Servers than we can against any other matchup combination.

There are many on TC who would rather finish 3rd in a fun match than 1st in these silly blowouts.

(It has the added benefit of making all the spawn-campers, chest-thumpers, and fair-weather fighters run back and hide under the bridges where they belong :P)

I wouldn’t base anything on that week. JQ was gunning for DB and didn’t care if they lost. Only time will tell once you have faced two Tier 1 servers

No your SEA is way smaller than ours and we were outmanned most of the time when we fought JQ and BG. Unless TC has had an influx of SEA guilds you wouldn’t stand a chance in that time frame

I posted this elsewhere on our own forums, but I thought I’d share it here:

TC has put themselves in an odd spot, they have recruited to the point of having WAY more people than Tier 2 is used to, but they are still about 10-15 guilds short of being competitive in Tier 1. They are going to own Tier 2, and they are going to get demolished in Tier 1.

In short they REALLY out number us(ie. FA). And Kain doesn’t have enough people to help us harass them.

Maybe when/if DB gets back up to Tier 2 they can take some of the load(twss)….but in the meantime we are doing the best we can.

TC told us in the server meeting they don’t recruit NA guilds, the only reason they approached us is because we are an EB-focused Guild and that’s what attracted the TC community to our Guild. Their recruitment thread even states that NA is not something they need.

Fair enough. Like I said I’m not attacking TC or RE in any way. I just know personally, and I’m sure a lot of other people agree, that for balance reasons it would have been nice to see RE move to a server that needed the help more (even if it wasn’t FA). Or, barring that, moving to a server like JQ so the balance of what was T2 is not messed up further.

My biggest dream is for FA to get some balanced coverage maybe 2 or 3 nice and large guilds (which are going to stay there), so our match-ups get balanced again. Then we toss in our long lost friend DB in here and together we make them our punching bag.

Ask yourself a simple question: when Ehmry “loses their entire BL to DB”, what time is it?

Answer: It ain’t NA primetime. Ask DB what happened to the TG, rB, FIRE raid in our BL last night. They were all hunted down and massacred.

Ehmry has no problem defending its stuff when we are awake. I see SoS lose keeps in their BL when they have 50+ zerging around in Ehmry at Oceanic hours.

That’s not a coverage issue. That’s a defense issue.

Omen is a good guild and SoS is really active during those times so either is a good choice

Sadly that isn’t going to happen (and not because of TC).

Because of the Random Match-ups there is a pretty decent chance that at least one “former T1” Server will drop down to face non-T1 Servers.

What I’m pushing for (shameless plug) is for ANet to start handicapping matches.

We’re never going to have “perfectly balanced” tiers/servers/matches but with handicaps we can make them all fairly competitive.

That or combine servers

I’m going to preface this by saying I like TC and its guilds but getting 5 CD and 1 IoJ guilds in a 2 week span isn’t growing steadily, in fact it’s the opposite. Really doesn’t matter because we old tier 1/2 all bandwagon servers one way or another. People come here for community and consistent fights.

RE wouldn’t doesn’t operate like that. We have been a large WvW guild since head start from Darkhaven. We are a proud WvW Focused guild who will not tolerate something like that.

Unlike RE’s new TS buddy full blooded.

But anyways, even people on the side with more PPT don’t even look at the PPT, a lot of us are here for the open field battles. And even though our 40-50 man zerg wiped against a 70-80 man zerg FA a couple times in EB, we had chances to win, even if outnumbered like that we’ve done it before. But I think the militia will know more of what to expect next time with maneuvering, sticking together and whatnot. GJ to all, have fun.

That was a 35man FA zerg. Just an fyi.

You may be takling about another night, RE doesnt loose against evenly manned fights, atleast not open feild fights. Not even SoR would fight us without Arrow Carts in the open field. Not trying to sound kitteny, but I havent seen a FA Zerg during primetime with merely 35 people in it. RE wipes, FA has wiped us but I have yet to see a WvW guild that can wipe RE as a guild with even numbers. To back it up have any FA guild whisper Ethersin for a friendly GvG with even numbers.

EP/CERN/RE wiped TSYM and FEAR quite a few times when we were against them two weeks ago. TW unfortunately was a no-show that week. Would love to have fought them, just for the experience of it.

Hey guys, stopped in for some reads and noticed some dragonbrand confusion. CO did join rB making a really solid WvW guild. RE/FIRE merged making another. Our server is not dying. Getting more and more motivated and coordinated everyday. Coming from Blackgate this is the most fun I have ever had. I can’t wait to get matched up with you guys again. Win or loose my guild learns something new every time and we will be here for fights not matter what.

On a side note, it would be nice if people stopped trying to recruit us from all the other solid servers. Let us grow and give you more competition. The more you stack into these top 3/4 servers the less fun it is for you. Anyone looking for a real challenge in a peaceful great community. HMU! <3 much love.

CO really fell apart after Mayoken’s vacation. From another source I learned that after he moved to TC to be with RE, many members split off and moved to various servers like BG and SoR like me. The remainder I believe are now in rB. The guild was in its prime in Kaineng but after our move to DB activity dropped,

Weird. He talked & trolled TC a lot during DB’s initial foray into T2. I would be genuinely shocked if he came to TC. :/

Maybe if we got Gellor, then it would even out.

It actually wasn’t many members but yes a few went to different servers, about 100 moved to rB. rB now has 200 active members. It’s been great so far. Just to clear things up.

I think you’re missing something important here. Most of us don’t care anymore. We got those transfers 5 to 6 weeks ago and it’s been DragonWagon this, Wagonbrand that in the forums since then. Most of us don’t even care to defend it anymore because the guilds that transfered are here; they fight with the rest of DB because they are DB. Get over it man. DB is what it is, and if it’s too much for you to handle, there’s still PvE.

maybe you should have people on your server stop complaining about all your fairweathers. you recruited well when you where winning and the same people stopped showing up when you stopped winning. its happened like that on every other bandwagon server and it is happening to db. i’m not knocking the transfers just pointing out you arent special and the answer to why you have so many fairweathers is blindigly obvious. the refusal to accept it and still complain isnt going to change that when you recruit heavily to a winning server you arent going to recruit the kind of people who stick around when you lose.

Fair weathers are on every server not just DB kitten. Get some new material already, this QQ is weak
