There should be pretty interesting dynamics incoming this next week, should be an interesting matchup (any matchup other than JQ/BG/SoR is welcome <3). I if I remember correctly, DB’s SEA is above par even with SONG recently moving off it. Most likely DB will seriously hurt in EU/PST as they lack an EU presence and therefore will have paper for PST (SoR’s strongest timezone) similar to what happened to JQ with the exception of multiple maps queued in SEA (as in the DB/BG/JQ matchup DB was only able to queue one map, whilst BG can queue two as can SoR). I can see DB excelling in NA as they have quality guilds but being pressured by the other servers SEA and EU coverage.

Also as a positive note for BG, not bloody blue this week. S I wish DB luck, keep it classy this time guys

Mad respect to (EA) human Warrior (M/S-GS, sorry i forget your name) and to all the (ALS) guys i was dueling at the windmill. Ya’ll do your server a great justice in proving these people wrong.

It’s not about fight clubs at windmills but about DB running from fights when numbers are not in their favour and returning when they have a large numerical superiority. I’ve seen it often enough this week, so please reconsider saying that “these people” are proven wrong – some of them are from the same server as you.

Apparently this is T1-2 tactics, and we can’t field the numbers to do the same anyway. I’ve been in our BL every day this week and had plenty of times when DB turned tail and ran when we appeared with all the might of the YB morning crew (all 3-5 of us), only to return with a Zerg.

It is legitimate to play that way, use greater numbers, but those people are usually bad losers when numbers are not to their advantadge, while me and others from our night and morning crew have been fighting against such odds all the time. By the way, i honestly can’t remember having seen you among our morning crew.

We don’t have 24/7 coverage.
We lose 85%~ of our force through EU Primetime after our SEA players go to bed, and from what I hear our Oceanic primetime is lackluster too.

EBG is the only map we have people in consistently.
And let’s not forget the fairweathers, that every server has, who are all out fighting for DB right now and won’t even bother to check the score on any week we face TC or old tier 1 servers.

Deny all you will, fact remains that large mag guilds stop doing WvW when they’re losing. The PPT tells the story… Yak’s are doing an admirable job, and may even overtake Mags.

I feel for people on that server, and a handful of good guilds that still keep fighting despite the odds. I wonder how they put up with fairweather guilds such as DORP and PYRO.

Losing your homeland keeps even though no large mag guilds are playing must be pretty embarrassing!

Or we are bored and don’t care, I wouldn’t even bother upgrading anything and just allow for karma training all week

I still remember. Though, if I had to say who did PvF more, it was definitely DB. I remember a slew of [RE]/[CO] and a few [EA] members talking tons of crap when we were down, too. Well, until that morning we stomped the scoreboard. But before that it was nothing but ’’it’s been fun here gais but T1 looks nice" and “free bags on our way to T1” along with “enjoy another loss this week”. Still, our two weeks of being stomped was well deserved, because of the morons who went into your other matchup thread and talked.

Basically, both servers have keyboard cowboys, and while one of us is winning, the other is sulking, and vice versa. Same goes for population. When we win, they come out, when we are losing, they aren’t anywhere to be seen. :/

I do believe our servers have a fair bit of the same problems.

Actually, I won’t be camping the jumping puzzle. I was under the impression that we had a truce in the JP because of the event. If so, that’s cool too. However, a truce is a truce and once it’s broken it’s broken.

I just want everyone to know that it was broken and therefore the JP should be considered open season again.

I went there today peacefully and was attacked. Not QQing, it’s part of the game, BUT nobody should be allowed to attack when they have the advantage and cry truce when they don’t.

Edit: If this sounds like a bash on DB it’s not intended to be one. It’s a general statement of truth. I love it when we’re up against DB. DB has a great server and we have great fights. I’d post the same thing if I were killed by EB (and I thought we had a truce / cease fire)

There has been no mention of any truce amongst any Commander on DB I have talked to (Not saying they don’t know about it, but if nobody told me I’d be willing to bet I’m far from the only one). And I can tell you there is no mention of it anywhere on the private forums we have for ourselves either.

TC beats T2 servers harder than it loses to T1 servers.

Three weeks ago you played against SoR once and came second by 120000 points and I don’t reckon they were out there in full force. As far as i can see it is the only time you played against a current “T1” server.

While I feel for you guys, I think you are a bit stuck at the moment. Just don’t talk yourselves up too much – other servers have done that in the past and it ended badly.

Correct TW went to JQ for the week or it would have been worse for TC and if This guy thinks that they will beat DB by 120000 then he must be stupid

Those are facts, TW went to JQ for the week to fight BG, not sure why that matters because TW is an awesome guild so yes it you would have lost by more. TC individual said they would beat T2 by 120k not me, maybe next time post that as well.

No. A lot of TCers who come out in lopsided matchups are fairweathers. Once we start fighting a tougher, better enemy, they will stop showing up. It really depends how many people will stick around after the reset weekend honestly. We should be more competitive next time, but we wont win unless we have more hardcore WvWers who don’t quit when the tough gets going.

Anyone who remembers reset saturday/sunday that weekend knows what I mean. We didn’t have nearly as many queues, and in a lot of maps, we were outmanned. Comparing that to when we had a few maps queued, and a good force on each map save maybe one, and it’s pretty clear what’s going on.

I don’t think that would be as much of an issue if it was a real “T1” kind of fight. So, a fight like TCvSoRvBG(or JQ). When we faced SoR, we had a 3rd server that, because of a massive population difference, just couldn’t be nearly as active against either TC or SoR. This led SoR to focus a lot on us with very little distractions only because we had the popuation. If there was a 3rd server with a more equal population, then I think the match up would be very fun actually! I would love to have a SoRvBG/JQvTC match!

So you guys didn’t like when the server that had more people and more coverage focused on the second place server over the even less populated 3rd place server.

Hmm..where have I seen this scenario before…

I don’t see anywhere that he’s saying we “didn’t like” being focused by SoR, merely that it happened. Many of us both expected and valued SoR focusing us – the only way you get better is to fight better competition.

All he was saying is that we could be more competitive than we were in a match featuring another T1 Server. More of our casual/fairweather players would keep coming out if the score was closer.

The SoR/SoS match was the best TC has had since ANet went to this new random system (with Mags/SoS surprisingly being 2nd for me – they came out and fought all week and didn’t whine on the forums about TC having more numbers).

Also if you see a little “chest-thumping” going on here it wasn’t that long ago at all that certain prominent posters from a certain Server kept coming into TC matchup threads insisting that there were 2 “T2” Servers and that TC wasn’t “T1.5” and how much they wanted a chance to prove they were just as strong as TC. (Strangely they have been really quiet this week… funny that )
