Well, the H panel could be reworked so there are 2-3 icons per gear, 1 for stats, 1 for skins and maybe another one for runes/sigil/upgrades. I’d prefer having everything centralized on one screen.
I don’t understand why people keep insisting on mounts being added. They are not needed. The developers didn’t want to make a cookie cutter MMORPG. Adding mounts would follow the cookie cutter template.
Yes, GW1 had capes and would make sense for GW2 to have them also. But, I like the back flag they have for guild emblems more than the capes from GW1.
Yes, I wouldn’t mind back flag if only I wasn’t required to transmute it onto my ascended backpack. If only it was and “additionnal” option to show or hide the guild back flag, it would make more sense.
I agree for the soulbound → account-bound gem store item. But in no way should a soulbound item be tradable! It must stay on the account.
I currently have 4 full sets of gear, each with a different stat on my main. I also have 2 full trinkets set on my main. I swap them on demand depending on what content I play.
I’d prefer if I could combine everything on my character.
For example, if I fuse my gear to my character, I’d be able to swap between the unlocked stats/skins. Fusing my Cleric’s TA boots and my T3 Valkyrie boots to my character would give the following option on-the-fly when out of combat:
- Choice between Cleric or Valkyrie stats on my boots
- Choice between TA or T3 on my boots
- Same thing for sigils/runes
Of course, we could only swap when out of combat via the H panel (clicking on the boots will offer all available options). A bit like a skin locker but specific for each character.
Instead of using Transmutation Crystals, we could now use “Fusing Crystals”, giving use the choice between keeping our exotic gear soulbound (salvageable) or fusing it to the character (enabling all stuff to our character but destroying the item itself).
THAT would be the best way to do progression on a character. It’s not fair I have to use 2 invisible bags just to keep all my stuff with me around the world.
Capes (as in GW1) that’d be cool. This was the best way to show off our guild emblem.
Mounts (as in WoW) that’d be dumb. No. There will never be mounts. The only “mounts” available are toys such as the broom/tunneling.
Wrong. I often do the Underwater fractal as the first one. Well, the first one we get between Underwater and Swamp is the one we keep.
I kind of like it though the boss is very boring.
The only thing I’m against is if the “sellers” kick other party members just to sell the slots for gold. If they arrange with friends or run it with 2-3 people, I’m ok with it, but I’m afraid it will often lead to 2-3 people kicking 2-3 pugs to sell their “slots”.
That’s the main reason I could be against this market. If there could be safeguards to make sure the sellers can’t kick people to sell their slots, I would be fine with it.
1) Skin locker
2) Build templates (includes stats changing, traits changing, weapon changing and other stuff to make each template unique and specific)
3) More skills per weapon and a bigger range of weapons for each class (ex: greatsword on elementalists) and more utilities
4) More activities, events, guild missions, GvG to do with guildies
5) Instanced raids
Well the karma sink is simple: Obsidian Shards
I have about 700 karma because I always use it all on Obsidian Shards for ascended crafting and legendary crafting. Though I agree that people not going that way are left alone with huge amount of karma. There should be more use to it.
It’s a universal currency, but it’s not liked enough currently.
I would prefer if every armor could be worn be either gender. I mean, I would love it if male characters could wear female skins. There, you would have the perfect maxim. Every gender would become equal.
When you equip a skin, you choose “female” or “male” and voila.
Well this place got nerfed to death. If they are going to revive this place and add exploration that counts toward the total, they should make it worth going back there.
Currently the karkas that one shot and drops crap, the amount of events in the map is low and there isn’t much to do.
Even the karka farm train and the barracuda farm got nerfed to hell.
I believe he is right. I also have this trait equipped and I did not see the effect one time during my play, even if my boons were removed. It might be worth looking into. As long as it fires, it’s fine, but I’d like to know when it triggers!
Here are some simple fix for this fractal (updated from my previous post):
1) Remove the first 2 switch that open the big room with the console (but keep the big room with the console). Just remove all veterans from this room and (increases respawn time a bit or reduce mobs damage a bit). The machanic has its place but it’s currently poorly implemented and wipes are way too often here. We shouldn’t have to wipe 5 times at level 41-50.
2) Remove the suicide bomb part and replace by the cannon part. Maybe reduce a bit the amount of mobs.
3) Reduce by at least 50% the amount of mobs in the clown cars. Change the event to make the boss spawns AFTER all the mobs are cleared as we currently just pull the boss away and kill him first. I think it’d be much more interesting if the boss is after the waves. Remove the invulnerability on mobs when they spawn. It takes too long to be able to damage them and it’s quite annoying with a few Mistlock Instabilities.
Keep the bosses unchanged and we’d have an awesome much loved dredge fractal and an overall cut of about 33-50% in time.
I didn’t open my presents until the patch fixed the Charged Quartz… I’m sad I didn’t get to save a few days/months of charging crystals when some people have accumulated over 4-5 stacks of these.
Seriously, they should remove the time-gating now that some people got over 1000 of these in 1 day…
I love my elementalist, I have 4 full sets of gear, commander pins, valuable dyes and much more. However, I noticed that I’m getting pretty much useless in various part of the game. I’ve noticed I die much more often in fractals, which annoys me a lot.
Our class was nerfed to the bone and the more I play it, the more I want to switch to my mesmer. We need 4 times the skills to be as effective as other classes, but we are far from being that effective. Our DPS and mobility took a huge nerf, and we have nothing to compensate that. Our health is crap, our toughness is also bad, our DPS has never been so crap and our healing is not enough to compensate.
We need 1 or more of the following:
- Better healing power scaling and more effective healing skills in water (maybe even an elite that grants regeneration in water cause our current elites are quite bad)
- Increased vitality and/or toughness
- Increased mobility
- increased DPS overall
- less +% dmg traits and more effects (add burning to XYZ, chance to do ZYX, etc.)
Then we’d have a much better elementalist!
No, every loot bags are 1 guaranteed rare (can be exotic if very lucky). This is to give some reward to people participating in activities. You also see those loot bags in Sanctum Sprint Frequenter, Southsun Survival Frequenter, etc.
I consider myself lucky to get Dredge as the 3rd fractal at level 43. Still easier to manage the Mistlock than say, Volcano or Cliffside.
They really should review and rebalance Mistlock Instabilities. It’s not normal a level 43 is a lot harder than a level 49. And we want to see our STACKS of debuff. It’s so hard to manage when you don’t know how many you’ve got.
I am getting completely burned out and have reduced my gaming frequency. I play on GW2 much less than before.
I like doing fractals so I don’t mind these achievements, but I got burned out from doing the tower ones. I will probably stop chasing achievement points, which is sad, but I can’t do this anymore.
Just give us an expansion already and stop with 2-weeks achievements. Even 1-month long releases would be better than 2-weeks long!
Wow, I never noticed it before… I probably didn’t notice because we, elementalists, do not have any weapon swap so equipping new weapons (as mentioned above) does not trigger the bug. But I’ll watch it carefully.
I hope this gets fixed fast.
1-10 – Tier 1
11-20 – Tier 2
21-30 – Tier 3
31-40 – Tier 4
41-50 – Tier 5
You can have up to 5 dailies, though the daily at 1-10 is kind of crap.
Note that you don’t have to do even only fractals anymore as all levels have a boss fractal now. So you could do 9-19-29-39-49 for your dailies though you would probably select the easier Mistlock Instabilities for faster runs.

Your team just was unlucky. The drops doesn’t seem to have changed, just your luck. It’s all RNG after all.
I’ve not yet got my 300th (up to around 294) fractals and got a Fractal Sword, Fractal Scepter and Fractal Harpoon.
2 of which were last Tuesday and Wednesday on fractal 30 and 31.
I know a few friends who got multiple skins on level ~11-20.

Yes, but only for 10 secondes as there is now a 60 seconds cooldown.
Here are some simple fix for this fractal:
1) Remove bomb suicide part
2) Reduce a bit the amount of dredge in the fractal globally (but mostly on the clown car).
3) Remove the first 2 switch that open the big room with the console (but keep the big room with the console). It’s overall a waste of time in my opinion but I kinda like that big room. No wonder people were skipping to this part using various glitches.
Then we’d have a fun dredge fractal ! I hope Anet sees this. Please, pretty please?
Ways to make this fractal better:
1) Remove the first 2 switchs that opens the way to the big room. Just keep the big room with the console with 2 switchs. It already offers enough challenge for pugs.
2) Remove the bomb side. Just keep the guns part (not much suicide needed in this path).
3) Reduce the amount of mobs. There’s just way too many dredge in this fractal. This includes the clown car.
And voila, we have a much needed fix on dredge which cuts a lot of the time it takes to finish while also removing much unneeded suicide.

There’s just only one con to really add here:
The boss chest (chest for completing a fractal) is still daily.……..They…..do know that this particular time-gated reward is the reason why people stopped doing fractals, right?
It’s daily… per 10 levels. You can do 4 fractals, not counting 1-9 (18, 28, 38, 48), which should take you between 5 to 6 hours. If you need to do more, then maybe you should also see other parts of the game.
I’m still wondering WHEN we will be able to buy accessories and amulets with Pristine Relics (oh and with daily chest too!). They introduced ascended with these, but they haven’t been updated since then! It’s really annoying…

Nah, seriously, it’s an UPGRADE applied to an ITEM. It will always be bound to the character who wields it. I would see NO purpose at it being account bound.
Oh, and getting AR on alts is really easy, you can get at least 1 +5 AR Versatile Infusion each run (they only cost 75 Fractal Relics) and it’s not like it’s hard infusing rings. You can get at least 35 easily (2 rings, 2 accessories, 1 amulet), which is enough for level 1-39.
Seriously, most cons noted here (except the reset to 30) are silly…

Great, we will have more stuff for our runs now. I’m glad we will now earn gold from running fractals. The rewards were crap, mostly account bound and so much RNG based.
This boss chest will also have a chance at containing a number of other rare rewards. As your fractal level increases, so do the odds of obtaining these items:
Fractal Weapon Skins (starting at level 10)
Ascended Rings (starting at level 10)
Ascended Weapons (starting at level 10)
Infused Ascended Rings (starting at level 20)
However, this part annoys me. Why do we still have ONLY rings as rewards? Why not add accessories and amulets? Why do we still need to have 40 rings but 0 other trinkets? Why not add amulets and accessories for pristine relics or chest drops?
I’m glad for most of the changes, but I feel the rewards are still lackluster. Can we please have a way to get accessories and amulets from fractals? It’s stupid we still can’t!

The precursor drop rate will be increased and we will still need to drop an RNG book to use it in the recipe to craft the precursor. I’m pretty sure it will drop way more often, but it looks like it’s still another RNG way to get a precursor. It will probably be time-gated but I sure hope it’s not as expensive as 800 gold.
Most fractals are fine, mostly the dredge one is too long and will be reviewed. I’m pretty sure we will see:
- 3 new fractals (the promised ones)
- A length review of the dredge fractal (and maybe some others)
- A review of the rewards (buffing up rewards to make it much more appealing)
If we get all this, and that the rewards are at least equivalent to dungeons, I’ll be doing them more often. Getting more lodestones instead of cores, gold rewards at the daily chest and more things to do with the relics/pristine would be great. I’d love to buy my ascended amulets/accessories with pristine relics!
I think something that’s missing here is the fact that you have no guaranteed survivability when using a waypoint and something happens. Like the waypoint gets contested and you get swarmed by monsters as soon as you appear.
I’d suggest making an “invulnerability” when using a waypoint for around 1 minute (which was the approximate duration in another game I played) for as long as you do NOT move. If you move, it disappears and you can be attacked. If you don’t move, you can teleport again, even if swarmed by monsters.
It could also help for people with slow connection.
I’ll take for example this:
I teleported my alt on the Balthazar temple to buy some shards, deposited them into my collectible and then logged off. When I logged on it again, it was now contested and died in 2 seconds without any time to react what so ever. If I was invulnerable. I could have decided to waypoint somewhere else, so that I don’t die for nothing.
It’s just one of those “nice to have” things that doesn’t add much or break the game, but helps player in making the use of waypoints less dangerous.
Instead of tying one specific mat to a “type” of point in Wvw (Camp, Castle, Keep, Tower) which results in Dragonite being so rare as Keeps rarely flip over to another team, why not randomize the reward instead?
You would get 33.3% chance to get either Bloodstone, Empyreal or Dragonite when completing an objective. When Crystalline will be added (probably for armors), that rate will be reduced at 25%. Each mats will have an equal chance to be looted, but only one at each objective.
Camps would give 3-5 of any (1 type) of T7 mats.
Towers would give 7-10 of any (1 type) of T7 mats
Keeps would give 15-20 of any (1 type) of T7 mats
Castle would give 25-30 of any (1 type) of T7 mats.
That way, everyone could at least get a proportional amount of T7 mats while playing WvW and not end up with 3000 of one type and 50 of another type.
What do you guys think?
I’m pretty sure it is doable and not a too huge change for Anet to make this.

Good idea, but at that price, I wouldn’t waste time. Maybe at the same price as the Fractals Relic one. 15 Badges for 1 Shard would be perfect. Otherwise I’ll just keep buying with Karma instead.
I would love them on my Sylvari but at 400 gems per piece, no thanks. I’ll simply buy the full set Trickster for 800 gems and I’d be more than happy.

I seriously hope that crafting the Legendary armor will craft a full set. I can’t imagine taking 1 year to craft 1 piece on 6 only (maybe 7 with underwater slot?). That is, if there will ever be a legendary armor in the game.
1) RNG/DR – Do not lock items/content behind RNG and remove the DR from the game. There will always be other ways to farm even with DR, do not close some content down because of it.
2) Expansions – When will we see permanent new maps with new content/events/items/etc. ?
3) Hard more dungeons/Instancied raids – New TA path is in the right direction. More challenging and requires more coordination. Thought I’d prefer if there was a “Normal mode” for pugs and an “Hard mode” for organized groups.
- Running dongeons with experienced people (for more rapidity) or with pugs (longer)
- Farming world bosses/temples (use a timer (gw2stuff) for that)
- Orichalcum/Ancient Wood runs (use a map (gw2nodes) for that)
You can combine many of these if you have a lot of time to increase your gold faster. If you have multiple lvl 80, get each of them to Frostgorge, Southsun, Malchor’s and Cursed Shore and you will be able to run ori/ancient with each of those characters. I’m currently with 5 80’s and it’s netting me about 25 G in 1 hour and half (maybe 2 hours if the maps are horrible) and I do boss events whenever possible. I can make around 30 G in one evening.
Not hard, just tedious and boring at some point.
You only carry 2 sets? I carry 3-4! I have between 12 and 18 slots reserved for my other stats gears (which happens to have different skins of course) not counting my equiped gear. But since there are no legendary gear, I think it would make perfect sense that the ascended have selectable stats.
However, I think the bonus ascended gives is quite small and I do not mind if it sticks with the added % they gave to the weapon.
It was the same for Box o’ Fun so instead of deleting them, I would simply use them somewhere instead. I find it funny how that kind of things I don’t care about has that verification, but items I’m afraid to delete/use don’t have it.
The Trading Post has everything you need… with a cost. Yes, the amount can’t really be farmed, some has to be bought from other players who don’t want any.
I agree with you Zylonite. It’s not friendly towards new players. It’s not even a “Living Story”, it’s a recurring festival! And the achievements are not recurring? Way to go… Really sad.
There’s already enough temporary stuff/achievements and currently no way to go back to do them. I hate to say this but : you’ve gone the wrong way with this.
I seriously hope it was a mistake and that an hotfix will enable past achievements.
I didn’t do much during Halloween last year because I had fun zerging events in Orr so I missed on most achievements so I was hoping to get a few, if not most, this year.
But to my surprise, it came back, but without achievements! Even the Mad Clock does not award any achievement this year. Why couldn’t it give me last year achievement?
I’m really sad and unhappy. I don’t understand the reasoning behind this.
The way I’ve done it is that have:
Weaponsmith and Armorsmith on my Heavy alt
Huntman and Leatherworker on my Medium alt
Artificer and Tailor on my Light main
Cook and Jeweler on my Light alt
(I also have Jeweler on most alts for leveling purpose)
It’s easy to remember the way I’ve set it up. Though I agree that showing the 2 active professions with their respective level would be great in the Character Screen!
I will modify my statement: I wouldn’t mind if the mounts were for aesthetic reasons only just like the broom. It would lock your skills down and gives no advantage what so ever but you would look cool (if that’s what you are looking for).
As for myself, I have a Lightning Kite and I like running around with it, for the cool “effect”. Though I probably wouldn’t want something under my little human girl.
But I’m pretty we won’t see any mounts with speed boosts.
Yeah sure, more gold sink? Hell no, people won’t even bother to have loading screens are wp fees when crafting in additions to all other fees. People will just go to LA currently. There should be “outposts” in the open world with everything a city should have: crafting stations, BLTP, merchants, repairs, trait reset, etc. with reasonable distance.
Think of the outposts/cities in GW1. There were a lot on the road. I want that when exploring. I want outposts (though not instanced) in the world!
This limit was added because it was a huge stress on the servers in big huge zergs. When they will have the capacity to remove the limit, they will, but for the time being, we have to endure… :S
