Davidah (Guardian) Goloith (Engineer)
Achuni (Mesmer) Doreanora (Thief)
The Charr racial is absolutely devastating. The tool belt skill is a must for Berserker style engineers. Easy 6-8k damage
They need to make p/p damage more condition based. So increase condition, lower damage.
More condition based? How so? Every weapons skill except for Glue Shot is extremely condition based.
Yes they are, but the condition damage needs to be much higher. People running p/p are rolling condition damage to begin with (unless for just sigils). If this means giving up damage for condition damage that’s fine.
Im also extremely disappointed that the rifle has such little condition spec. The auto attack should have some kind of condition.
Absolutely not. They need to do the exact opposite. The need to remove all condition damage from rifle.
They need to make p/p damage more condition based. So increase condition, lower damage.
Personally, berserker gear is great for everything. I’m still trying my best to get condition damage to be just as viable but I’m not sure if its achievable.
I’ve got about 6 sets of gear between my characters and I know your frustration with gear changes, but you don’t know what your missing if you don’t try other gear.
Yes useless. Defending your terrible choice of gear is pretty sad. I know your kicking yourself for picking this gear. If the givers offered 2-3 percent to boon duration per item that would make it feasible. However since ANet went down the path of making the weapons with condition duration I think they need to give Givers boon duration a boost or change it.
Guys……take a look at the ANET thread in Tech. You modify your gw2 path and it will zoom you out.
Cheers!
I think that we need to do something about this as well. I’d really like to make my curser an obnoxious green so I can find it. I think if there was a way to snap it to the center this would help.
I think they should just salvage into pristine fractal relics unless they consolidate all the currencies.
Seriously after all the grinding to get not one, but two legendaries you’d complain about doing another map completion. You must have been one of those lucky players that got a precursors from the botched Lost Shores event.
^^^^this right here
I think that would be fantastic idea as soon as they fix culling. However, I think they really need to broaden the reward system in WvW to attract people to do other things then just run with the zerg.
WvW absolutely needs the exact opposite. I really would like to see 1000 people on a WvW map if possible.
The problem we are seeing is that their is a lack of incentive to do certain behaviors like escort dolyaks, cap quaggins, etc, etc.
Add on top of that, it’s difficult to get badges from not running with the zerg is a problem. If you hate being outnumber, pay some gems and move to a higher server pop.
Just remove the vista and and points of interest from WvW or at least make them don’t count. Simple fix. The OP is a bit unrealistic about WvW. If they had an option to flag yourself or not I could see this killing the game. Many people play GW2 for WvW and if I saw a bunch of PvE carebears taking my spot in que that would kitten me off.
Yes precision because many classes need it to proc abilities Also if your rolling a guardian with this gear you are awefully green or poor. 6% total boon duration may seem nice, but when you compare it to almost every other type of gear your really missing out. The opportunity cost is too great. Also I’m not daft, check out the giver weapons, its condition duration.
I understand you like boon duration, but you’d serve yourself and your party better with either clerics or knights. This game is damage orientated, even though there’s a dmg/support/control trinity going.

I think it’s safe to say that Giver’s armor is completely worthless. Can we please have that 1% boon duration turned into a 5% condition duration? Condition damage is already greatly subpar to that of power/crit dmg so please give condition builds a viable armor piece that works with their condition damage. Stats should be Prec/Condition dmg/Condition duration.
For the longest time I thought they should change rampagers to this, but enough people really like having that middle ground between condition and power.
Please change this worthless armor into something really great.

Engie
Berserkers is OP compared to any other damage in this game.
It’s supposed to be. Good luck surviving in WvW against a havok squad though.
No it should not. There should be gear equivalent in damage to this. Rampagers should do equal damage, but spread between both condition and power. Furthermore, Givers needs to give up the incredibly worthless 1% boon duration that it provides for 5+ % condition duration.
So no it should not be OP, but should be either nerfed or have other stat types upgraded
Berserker Set +food and oil + sigil of blood with 20/20/00/30/00 for might stacking and I’m seeing close 5-8K hits with the rifle. Add in the Charr racial with shooting 8 rounds at a time is another guaranteed 6-8k hit.
Berserkers is OP compared to any other damage in this game.
Need skills to reflect condition duration bonuses that are from runes, weapons, etc. Think this might be more than an engie problem though.
30 Jumping puzzles……can I blow my brains out now? This is by far the least enjoyable thing there is in this game. Why not let us complete 5/6 items to get the Monthly/Dailies. Give players some choices.
I can tell you doing jumping puzzles with a Charr is pretty darn miserable.
+1 for this. This helps bring guildies together!
Condition Duration on Skills and Hero Tab needs to show up properly, right now it is not displaying when condition duration gear is equipped. Please fix this.

I can understand why people think having a diverse set of stats is useful, but I just don’t see the point in even having these stats if they are inferior to begin with. If people really want to have condition/burst build they’d still be better off with half the “new” rampagers set of gear with prec/cond dmg/cond duration and half berserkers. That would be an equal benefit condition/burst build.
I mean even with the current condition rounding that is going on this would greatly help in getting people into the next tier of condition damage and then having the burst.
Either way you look at it, Rampagers is inferior to Berserkers.
Updated my post
Ya I agree this is really stupid.
Would be cool, but what happens if it goes bad, it identically salvages an exotic you unequip.
Power supplements condition damage, it does not modify it. This is exactly why berserkers and the current Rampagers set have such a large damage gap.
I have both berserkers and rampager gear and I can tell you there’s a huge difference. In about 6 seconds I can deal 18k+ damage with berserkers, Rampagers no way.
Throw food like rare veggie pizza in the mix and you gain nothing with that power, add butternut and berserkers is in heaven.
So your alright having armor that is statistically inferior to the new armor? That’s one of the reasons I want it changed, I don’t want to have to buy an entire new set of armor….have like 4 already.
If you are condition built this armor will be in line with berserker, why do you want to keep a sub par armor around?
If we wanted a power damage build we’d roll berserkers, but if were condition based our condition damage is not going to benefit from power, just supplement it so that’s why I was thinking to just change Rampagers.
I think that there needs to be a stat change on Rampager gear.
Instead of power/precision/condition dmg the stats should be precision/condition dmg/condition duration.
This will allow condition based builds to actually benefit a lot more to be on par with berserkers. Also the rounding done on condition DMG needs to go.
They are also missing gear like Rampagers
Please greatly reduce the amount of ectos needed to upgrade the crafted back item, 250 is about 75+ gold.
Please allow us to use our fractal relics to upgrade our crafted back pieces as well.
Because they have this idea that people will just use their saved fractal relics to get these items right away and not do the dailies.
In all honesty if these people put the effort in they should be rewarded.
I’ve updated this.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Where-is-the-Healing-Ascended-Gear/page/3#post1324865
that’s the big thread.
There is about 6 more threads on the lack of stats on ascended gear in the suggestion thread as well.
We need to give the DPS players out there condition armor equivalent to berserkers. The only way this can be achieved is if they 1.) Get rid of the rounding methods of condition duration/damage 2.) Convert Rampagers to Condition/Precision/Condition Duration
ANET said after they introduced Ascended items that they would be available for other types of behavior so this is not solely FOTM. Have you taken a look at the Laurel vender recently? Some of the infusions offer no agony resistance.
A really simple fix instead of offering all these currencies is to either remove all the other currencies in the game and just have one or two, or have a way to convert all these currencies into one currency used for ascended items. If people are worried that people who have millions of karma to cash in all they need to do is raise the karma needed to purchase an item or the consolidated currency thats needed for ascended items. It’s that simple.
On top of this this will not force people into 2 paths to obtain ascended gear, but reward all behavior.
Personally I think refunding an entire ring back might be a bit much, but maybe like 6 of 10 pristine relics.
But the solution is not to make it so any random person who’s been accumulating karma forever can just pick them up for nothing.
You completely missed the point. They did not pick up these items for nothing, they spend Karma or a consolidated badge. You sound like one of those carebears that only like to run FOTM and your hurt over the idea that other people should be able to achieve these items. If they are so pointless why are they in the game?
Screwing over majority of the players in the game that would rather do anything other than run FOTM for ascended gear is not right.
People will continue to chase the carrot and they should be rewarded for any type of behavior. If it the amount rewarded consolidated badge is less for a specific action depending on it’s toughness so be it. Some dungeons may only give 3, 4,5 and some WvW may only give a badge out after so many kills(or other things like support/control).
The current system is like going to a theme park and only have a few rides giving out rewards. Sure it should just be fun to ride, but when you see that kid with the big stuffed animal because he rides a specific ride it kinda upsetting.
+1 I’ve been preaching about this for sometime now. ANET sold this game as a theme park kind of game, yet it’s making me ride the tilt-o-world just to get prizes when all these rides (dungeons) are going to waste
1 currency to ride them all! I mean rule them all!
Personally I roll like this:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcIQJAqalspSXHwSfF17ICIF1XeJ6xjBZT2HFs1DC
Why? Because with the needed condition duration combined with Rare Veggie Pizza my condition damage drastically goes up for all skills. Add on top of that the toolbelt skills are rather quick. So I can throw & consume all my Elixirs (other than S) before I enter the fight and have roughly 11+ stacks of might, if I get hit hard I can pop S for 2 more stacks getting me to 13+ stacks and I can practically solo anyone with this build.
Add in my sigil of corruption I’m seeing about 7,000+ blowtorches and 200+ damage per stack on bleed
One thing I’m not totally sure on is the 20% increase in burn time, I wish this talent point updated the blowtorch skill to see if it is really worth it. To my knowledge this skill suffers from the condition damage rounding.

Bumping because there is already too many posts on this.
Gerroh, we’re not talking about removing your toughness gear, but adding stats. Its stupid that there is two kinds of every ring, those rings could be used for crafted stats.
People are pretty upset about this.

Lol, this is the 3rd thread about ANETs apparent crap on condition builds.
Yes it is stupid that this hasn’t been added. Condition builds are already subpar to Crit builds and ANET keeps going the wrong direction. In all honest they need to turn Rampagers set into Condition Damage/Precision/Condition Duration to make it on par.
That’s the problem, its basically turned condition based damage builds from subpar to trash. They keep going the wrong way on condition builds.
In all seriousness the only way condition damage is going to be equal to crit builds is if they go Cond/Prec/Cond duration gear.
You would think that after all the flaming that the devs have gotten for not having Power, Precision and Condition gear or better yet, Precision, Condition, and Condition Duration gear available in Ascended gear that they would pull their heads out and implement it this patch. Seriously I DO NOT want toughness on my gear. I’m sorry, I’m not some newbie that needs toughness to survive.
So pull your heads out and give us some gear that is at least comparable to that of Berserkers gear. Honestly condition builds are already subpar to raw crit damage and you screwed them again.
For any of you out there that have run full condition damage I encourage you to try going full Bersekers, you’ll honestly want to cry when you see how large the damage gap is already. Also use Ruby Orbs in to be cheap instead of the Divinity runes you’ll still be better than your condition build.
This patch did nothing to address those who do not use kits. P/P still needs to have it’s damage to condition damage ratios adjusted to have more condition damage. Part of being versatile is being able to spec via weapon or kit into another specialization. Right now kits are still a mess and don’t know what they want to be damage(crit) or condition.
patch is still crap
Lol I can just see a guild dedicated to this craft named the “FFA”
