I think if they gave people over the form lvl a bigger karma boost it would really give people an incentive to help the lower level guys. Guess we’ll see
I think they should just let us equip one kit in the weapon swap slot. That would be a huge plus giving us a needed boost. Also I think they need to change the piercing shot talent to a bouncing shot. I can’t count how many times that talent goes to waste because enemies are not in a line.
Have you guys ever heard of elixir c? I personally like the +20% duration for my might stacking P/P build so I’m not sure what people are talking about.
Personally I’m not sure if I want weapons stances to do any specific changes, but I think it would be great if ANET allowed player to purchase different stances for their classes. Maybe the warrior has an awesome weapon stance that an Engineer would like, after all who shoots a rifle from the hip?

If ANET needs money sinks its simple, put a nice item on the black lion trading house. That simple.
+ for everything account bound. It’s stupid that we invest time and money and we can’t use specific things across characters. Even if I had to buy an item to make it account bound would be better than nothing.
Personally I hated vistas. Please don’t make these mandatory.
+1 for Ascended items on TP…..or maybe they can pull their heads out and make all ascended and gear account bound.

Have any of you guys actually taken a look at the ring selection? It’s slated to the Power side of things. For example the only pure damage rings are +Power +Precision +Crit Dmg. Now this is great and all, but they really need to include +Power (the low stat) +Precision (high or medium stat) + Condition Dmg +(the medium or high stat).
Please introduce these rings to the game, right now I’m a condition built Engineer and I’m wondering what the hell to do with my +Power +Precision +Crit Dmg rings. I feel as if my exotics are better. WTF screw toughness.
I lose 4% crit chance with these rings, break even on damage (if I use consumables then I’m taking a loss in total damage).
Right now I’m using the Rampager Rings and my ascended are Red Ring and vine of the Pale Tree
If we could refund our old rings or at least make them all account bound that would be great…..otherwise I feel like FOTM was a waste of my life.
I would roll full rampagers and go 20/20/00/30/00. You are going to be stacking might with potions. So I would roll with P/P, elixir for heal, e-b, e-c, e-s for oh-gosh, and supply crate. Should have 15 stacks of might easily. Add in some veggie pizza and sigil of corruption and your looking at 400+ explosive bleeds and 7k+ blowtorch burns.
This is easily solved, just adjust the amount of token one receives for that dungeon.
They need to get rid of all these different types of currencies and just have 2….gold and a standardized badge…or karma. Game developers need to quite trying to control behavior and reward people for changing things up. Maybe I want to do FOTM, maybe WvW, maybe AC. If we all had standardized currencies people would explore more dungeons.

Pistols need to trade DMG for condition DMG, same thing with Wrench. Its pretty obvious the flamethrower is mix and that’s fine, but make it the only kit that’s both power and conditions. Grenades need to make up their minds and be power and conditions, not both. I’d say, make grenades condition and bombs just power. Hell if enough power users complain give people a sniper kit. Right now our kits have no identity.

My theorycraft here is for a healing engineer using the elixir kit for the super elixer and the bomb kit for AOE heals.

Hey guys I want to stack condition damage, but I’m left wondering is it really worth going P/P in WvW with all the zergs? I hate giving up my 6k+ torch, but I hate getting owned trying to get in range for my other skills.
Classes that need to be fixed in this order:
1) Engineer-need weapon stats and an actual slot to place one kit, why are they forced to give up a utility slot. They also need to make kits make more sense. For example they need to make grenades and wrench kits all condition based damage and make flamethrower and bombs all power based. Same things need to happen with rifle/pistol..need to remove the bleed from rifle for more DMG, increase the condition to power ratio on pistols to reflect conditions builds.
2) Ranger- pets are lacking
3) Necro- class is aweful
4) Ele- needs survivability
5) Mesmer- Balanced
6) Warrior- Balanced
7) Guardian- Balanced, but maybe give some various utilities. Still owned the Mesmer and Warriors though.
8) Thief- Nerf the insane burst damage….no reason people are dying in 3 seconds.
The Dirty Dozen:
1) Would you prefer ascended gear to be the last tier implemented for the remainder of GW2?

2.) Knights (don’t want to spend all my karma/badges for the Rabid quite yet)
I have about 74% (goes up to 90%+ w/fury) crit chance without an accuracy sigil so I think I might have to try that corruption sigil.
What would you recommend I use in my off-hand? +Dmg, +Crit Chance, +Condition Stacking (corruption) sigils?
and what should i use to compliment that sigil of choice? +dmg or maybe + crit chance? Or maybe some thing that stacks conditions?
well if I’m a condition/precicion engineer, what’s better?

What they need to do is get rid of all these currencies and replace them with just 1 currency. We need to throw karma in with it too. People should be rewarded with the same currency so all behaviors are promoted. Now the quanitity of token received is another debate. If other instances are harder than have those instances reward players more tokens, simple as that.
I would like to see what SWTOR did with their feedback panels after you completed certain missions, that would help out with balancing tokens for different behaviors.
They can add this junk if it’s not on NA servers. Anyone singing about killing American women and children has no place here.

Low levels, maybe need adjustment here and there – but I think the opposite is true with the downscaling at high levels -it feels very uneven – I will not go anywhere near the 70-74 level areas of Orr with my 80s any more.
This is EXACTLY how I feel sometimes with my level 80s. I’m personally not some person that wants a grindy game….otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased this game (lol ascended items).
If you want to play the old areas go roll another character, but to punish the other 80’s who are trying to get map completion and reduce the grind that is already there to farm the necessary mats is dumb.
They need to make items account bound, not player bound, that would be a start.
They also need to put a viable gear cap if they ever want to encourage people to roll alts, otherwise they’re jeopardizing they’re mains progression.
Spent a bunch of badges and karma on and alt only to find out that legendary and ascended items need them……
No I think that is a terrible idea. One of the reasons it’s easier to kill stuff is because of the quality of your gear vs. when your a lower lvl that’s running around in blues instead of exotic/ascended/legendary.
In my opinion ANET really needs to make players lvl above what the mobs are to encourage more people that are higher levels to come to the lower level areas…..its a ghost town some days.
We need to encourage people, not discourage.
This a fantastic skill that does about 2k+ damage and really stacks bleeds and vulnerability. Too bad we can’t put kits in our weapon slot because I’d love to use this skill.
I think it’s time we have an honest discussion regarding Condition Damage and how it’s combated….i.e. condition removal.
First of all it is far inferior to that of Crit damage builds and that needs to be reigned in. Why should condition builds risk using that stat and have no gain when it can be so easily removed?
So here’s my idea and I will talk about it more in time:
+Remove condition removal from the game and rather introduce “Effect Removal” and clump non-damage based conditions into the “control effect” category.
-This will make condition damage now viable in PvP and WvW and make it more in line with other damage builds
-This will make vitality builds actually worth it in WvW/PvP because as it stands, the more HP you have, the harder it is to heal back up. Staying alive is all about Effective Hitpoints. Just like toughness mitagates damage from power and crit damage, vitality will be a form off mitagation against condition builds
-The rounding calculations on condition damage needs to better and needs to do more damage.
There is no reason that glass cannon berserker builds can survive with over 80%hp against a glass cannon condition build, just because he/she can clear all damage off instantly.
In our Hero Menu right where the swap weapon slot should be, there should be a kit placement slot. Most engineers run with just one kit and those that want more kits can go ahead and equip them to their utility skill bar. As far as toolbelt skills is it really that much more to ask to give them additional skill? If its that big of deal, let the engineer pick between 4 of the 5 skills to put on the toolkit bar.
In all honesty they really should implement a sniper engineer kit. They need grenades to be more condition based and make sniper kit all power based. They I thought the whole point of the engineer was to be versatile, right now we can do everything, but are mediocre at all.
Anyone else got some great ideas?
Dart Volley needs to just NOT MISS
I would like Glueshot to be able to catch on fire with Blowtorch, that would be a good combo, slowed fire AOE

I love this idea, you slow them and then you have a combo AOE blast to go right into to reward the Pistol user to get in nice and close!
What needs to change:
(1) I think that we really need to make Pistol’s Firearm grandmaster trait to cause bulllets to bounce, not pierce. If you want peirce, go Rifle
(2) Make explosive shot have a longer duration
(3) Make Dart Volley’s spread even more spread out, or make it single target
(4) Extended the Blowtorch range, we wear medium armor, not heavy……
(5) Allow glueshot to do some damage or extend the duration to 3-5 seconds so that it works well with our other traits.
just found that out, had to swap it a few times. Wish these had a timer on the interface so I knew when I could switch back and forth.
Thought the Sigil of battle worked now for kits…..

Just started leveling my Mesmer and I was wondering what the best way to lvl the Mesmer as far as stat/builds/weapons.
Currently I’m running GS for opening and then swaping to Sword/Pistol and it seems to be working ok.

As the title says I’ve been really enjoying the Mesmer. After 3 ancended items, nerf after nerf, 3 decked out sets of exotic gear it’s sad that I have to take a break from my main.
What they need to do is turn all turrets into moving robot/golems and give them somer personality like illusions. I also think that they need to make kits that are either condition damage with very little actual damage and vice-versa. Thought the point in having kits was to be versital with different builds we wanted.
Remember if you are to FOTM, Agony punished any build with Vitality so stay away from Vitality. For anything else vitality is nice.
For those that don’t know the 3rd best veggie pizza will give the same DPS as the best veggie pizza with Dual Pistol builds. Equiping a kit and a person may have to use the next 2 higher teirs.
I think ground targeting would be a problem.
This is the only problem with using a controller
but……..
From what I’ve seen online videos GW2 with a controller is a ton of fun. Think people are using Xpadder and it works well. The biggest issue however is that you can’t ground target very well at all so any weapon/kit set that has it makes the controller inferior. Then again from what I’ve seen of the videos their using the second joystick (mouse) and just placing it right where the head is and its working ok.
I would love to see a GW2 contoller with enough keys and resonably placed for WvW/PvP.
Just realized that if your a warrior or anyone that have a bunch of buffs that software like Xpadder would might let you que them up like a macro so only one button would be needed instead of 3-4.
