Another one of those! I love it.
Some players are simply stubborn and think the way they enjoy the game is the way to go. Just don’t let those elitists destroy your illusion of a better tyria. The day will come where we rise and kite Lupi for hours. Then we should definately get a guaranteed precursor because it took us so much time. While our bears are taking a nap, we then go hand in hand and explore orr as a bearbow without a bear.
Once the elitist start to talk about efficiency in our runs or tell us to play how we want, as it does not matter for them at all, we simply refuse to listen and block them.
After that a day is over, the next day will come soon so more epic Malrona solos, which is a thing the “stacker scrubs“ definately can’t do, so we can proove that stacking is so 2013..

Summarising: Kitten Elitists, I play how I want and you all get forced to play how I want aswell.

As the topic says do I want to actualise / expand my friendslist. I wanna do that because my friendslist is kinda outa date and in general I want to get to know the community more.
Before you add me or reply here, please be aware of me being a kitten elitist. That means I use berserker gear, meta builds and that kind of stuff. So if you are one of the “All elitists are potatoes, I will camp my staff 24/7“ I fear we won’t become best friends.

Test your skills against the Champion Krait Witches in Timberline Falls and Mount Maelstrom. I have never, ever been able to solo them, despite my best efforts.

For the record, I have successfully solo’ed Kol Skullsmasher with a Mesmer, Ranger, Ele, Warrior and Necro. But despite trying all of them against the Witches, none of them have succeeded. :/

The Champ Risen Abomination (this one can be solo’ed using a cheese method though. Haven’t managed to solo him legitimately) and the Champ Risen Spider in Sparkfly Fen are also good champs to test your skills against. Oh! And the Champ Risen Pirate in Bloodtide Coast too.

Soloed a witch yesterday because i needed to get the vista.
Did it on Ranger with bear eazmode tough.. I feel bad now..

Who? Me? Why should I solo a boss that was designed to be a five-men encounter only to prove my “supremacy”?
The very fact that you can relatively easy solo Lupi shows that this boss isn’t strong enough to trouble an experienced party. Lupi will wreck new players. But once they know the trick it’s easy. And thanks for picking the best designed fight in the whole game as reprentation of bad boss mechanics.

Well if it was you who said he would share a video of soloing lupi then yes, I mean you. Go ahead and solo him, most of the people who say that he is easy have not even soloed him yet. It’s not about “supermacy“, it’s about me telling you to underline your argument with video proof. I remember someone in this thread saying he would upload a video..
And by the way, I never said something about bad boss mechanics.

Let me ask you this: Did you ever, exept maybe for the first time, had any problems fighting the tree in TA or the Searing Effigy in CoF? Or Tazza in SE? Or Colossus Rumblus if Grast isn’t bugging? Or any of the old open worldboss? No?
Ofcourse not, they are not strong enough or get trivialized by single skills such as Wall of Reflection. Those bosses bare little to no risk at all, which means you can go ahead with berzerkers gear and take no risks.
And this wont change, that’s why this thread is obsolete.

Well the problem is that even if there will be harder bosses, which i hope will be the case, the kitten elitists will find ways to finish it fast and easy, even in berserker, just because we like to.. And then there will be the non berserker guys, falling behind in time, crying about how bad and arrogant the elitists are.
After 2 years of the game being out, one might think that the elitists are still the “evil“ ones. In fact we aren’t, we help when we’re asked and we give advice. We just refuse to play with people who don’t share our mindset. And obviously so do you non elitists. But not only that, you even dare to say we are arrogant, try to remove our benefits of practicing and developing and make us look like the evil ones.
If you don’t like my playstyle, don’t play with me. I will do the same.

I play with thief, full zerker meta build and im sure my DPS is quite the same. But still is get kicked every time because im a Thief…

I even solo dungeons with my Thief (all legal and no exploits ofc, or blind is an exploit? )
Some people have to accept more classes…

You should not have problems to find a group as a thief. You provide stealth, blinds, a ton of blasts and you do have good dps.
People want to have a guard for aegis and WOR mostly.
The thing I don’t get is why you would want more than 1 war in a party.. People still think that warrior is the top DPS..

What I gathered from this thread :
- Zerker is efficient but boring,
- Casuals enjoy pressing all the buttons,
- Berserker gear will die out to new mobs,
- Long fights are fun because active defenses won’t last,
- To have fun you must avoid speedclears and make your own builds.

To everyone who might recognize themselves in the previous statements, I’d advise you to watch the following stream : www.twitch.tv/sam_ajestey when the title contains the word “Fungeon”

You will be able to watch a hardcore PvE player doing the following things :
- Using berserker gear and meta builds on all classes and having fun doing so,
- Pressing all the buttons while screaming “MLG” and “Darude” at his screen, while doing nice rotations,
- Berserker gear dealing damage to both Dredges and Mordrems (#nodiscrimination2K14),
- Fights that don’t last long where active defense is cool AND ALSO medium to long low-manned fights where the YOLO is there to stay alive and complete the content,
- Funniest speedclears with meta builds.

Coincidentally, I also do PvP/WvW using berserker gear, so you might wanna change your ideas on gear being tied to content !

This was a shameless advertising, but I’m really sad to see people throwing weird arguments and as actions are better than words, I shall prove my opinion to be the right one by performing live !

Reread the posts above. Going full zerker doesn’t mean “no support”. Support comes in the form of CC’s and damage mitigation (Aegis, blinds, etc).

They’ve had two years to even try making conditions useful and they haven’t moved an inch on it. This isn’t going to change unfortunately.

Healing? This video tells you everything you need to know. It’s really quite good.

if arena net nerfed the berzerker builds vs other builds and made bosses stronger dealing more damge… that wpuld proply fix it…

Why would you think that? Soloing Lupi in zerker gear is commonplace these days, and he’s very powerful and deals enough damage to down a player in a single blow. A boss doing more damage doesn’t change anything when you don’t get hit.

what im saying is… arena net m7at change the zerker builds so other builds could be used in pve, if tank, healer and condition builds is not meant for pve then why even put it there right???

No idea. WvW? All I know is that the playerbase has been quite vocal about DPS gear being the only worthwhile PvE set, so they go and introduce Nomad’s. Go figure.

Exactly…. everyone is going to berzerker builds because there is no point in tank,heal or condition builds… caz u can skip and stack most of the dungeon, that is not an exploit, true, but its a gameplay flow and arenanet should fix it

That is what you think mate. Some people mainly the “bad elitists“ simply do not want to need 5 min on fighting a boss just to be able to say :“W0w i tanked all tha attacks, hon0r meh im unkillable“
I don’t get what you try to achieve but alot of us like dungeons the way the are except that they are kitten boring..
So i advice you to look for a guild or friends with the same mindset as you and then you can tank the kitten out of every boss in this game.
If i think about it, not a bad idea i could do dungeons with my guild while being alttabbed to work for uni! /sarcasm off
