Well technically, they are having a little guild war right now. In some way at least, so it is actually pretty fitting.

Please do not say we have a guildwar when there are some persons on both sides that behave like dog and cat. I can speak for my guild in general, we have no war going on with anybody!

Fractals are fun, even though i didn’t like them for ages! My only issue with them is the pure RNG to actually drop stuff you want. In one week i dropped 5 raiders chests (yeah 5, I’m one of those hated luckers) in a row, this and last week i dropped nothing so far!

Alright, I played a bit on ranger and thief today to see what results I get.
Thief took me 4 attempts before I started to Dagger #3 the bolts. Then everything went smooth, just takes a bit to get used to it! Gonna try to heartseeker evade them on my next goes.
On ranger i did it 2 times. First I wanted to safemode and went for GS and Axe / Axe. Was kinda easy before I started to get randomly bubbled, i guess it was aggroed on the pet.
Second attempt I tried it with Sword / Axe and Sword / Dagger and managed to do it after 3 tries. Lightning reflexes helped much there!

TL;DR: Still doable, just some fineadjustment to do. All in all I like this!

About the CoF p1 bug; guardian with renewed focus can do it.

I also wouldn’t change classes immediately. If you enjoy warrior and necro then stick to them, try to learn about the encounters you will be facing and then try to time your dodges, evades, blocks, etc. right!
It’s all about practice, trust me. And maybe once you mastered your berserker melee playstyle, you might find it more enjoyable than ranging and kiting.

Don’t get that point. If you remove a other skill, f. e. banners on war then people might again bring thiefs because of the higher damage output! We can play that game for all of the classes. >.>

I wouldn’t call defiant stripping, above-average damage, blinds on trash, blast finishers and projectile absorb to be “garbage”

If Stealth is removed from the game, I doubt people will want to bring thieves into their party for dungeons.

There is no CC in guild wars 2. People tell me this in the general forum, so it must be true. Defiance system means you have to face tank her retaliation.

Looking at the context, I think what Iris meant was that you can’t continue to stand in the retail or poison circles and hope to survive without heals. You are definitely right in saying that moving out of the circles remains viable. However, that would stop dps for several seconds and hamper rotations. But in fairness, having a dedicated healer is itself a dps loss. In the end, both ways of doing things can be equally viable.

I think the nub of Iris’s point is that you can’t claim to be both – I.e. you can’t claim to be able to fully support your team from all or most manners of adversity, but also claim to be full zerk at the same time. No doubt, full zerkers have strong active defences, but they lack team based passive defences and heals. And at the end of the day, full and effective support is more than just active defences.

Certainly you can chain freeze Brigette as Oxtred.7658 mentions one post above. It’s a kill or be killed way of doing things. It certainly works for very coordinated parties. But considering the PUG/casual context of dungeoning that we are discussing here, I’m not sure how viable it will be there. The tactic is hard to pull off, and may not be very viable when bosses surround themselves in poison fields constantly which don’t go away easily (like turmaine from CM p2). In such a case, if you intend to continue to dps in the poison fields, you will probably need more than just active defences.

Can’t argue with you about this, tho i got the point of what Iris meant.
To be honest, I don’t care what you enjoy running; everyone should play as he pleases. I just wanted to give an example of what you can do at Bridgy.
I will never ever run a healer in a dungeon but it seems to work well for you.
I guess this forum is just filled with full zerk meta people.
