I agree with Mayhem in that every server has their average to bad players who are just basically cannon fodder for an organized group. NSP has those players too, believe me.

Both NSP and DH have some pretty strong players and groups, although its harder to find them on DH since they have a larger population. It’s been ages since I fought against SBI but I wasn’t impressed. They were almost exclusively a zerg server with just a few players who stood out individually. But, then again… it can be really hard to find the good players when they are lost in a sea of mediocrity.

That was the one thing I kept noticing about SBI, all they do is have one large zerg.
That’s it.
Sure they can hit a single target hard, but it’s just ONE target.
Usually when they were running around being the large zerg, people would break off and go cap a camp, or start hitting a tower.

Take a few days ago.
DH had SM, and so I set up superior trebs (3 sup, 1 reg) on the 3rd floors and laid siege to the fortified Klovan and WC, while the main zerg focused on taking side towers and camps and defending when need be. I didn’t stick with the zerg, but me and the three other trebbers did destroy klovan’s walls and WC’s walls and let the main zerg then cap them.

I was standing in Overlook Keep in EB after returning the sole surviving golem after a successful keep take when I started hearing that jingle the golems make

Lot’s of fun on EB tonight. NSP kept trying to omega golem rush Klovan Gully (not sure why, but they lost a lot of omegas) while we held off Darkhaven for hours at Stonemist. Eventually we were outnumbered 3:1 and finally lost the castle. We collected tons of bags from Darkhaven and the fights were great. Shout out to Side Effect, probably the best guild I’ve faced on Darkhaven thus far, they are a truly standout guild. You guys gave us some trouble until we heavily outmanned you and could just overpower you. Great work out there.

They also tried to Omega Golem rush SM after we took it that one time after the long battle but lost 3 (maybe 4) there.
Curious what the total number of Omegas lost was…

Remove the Arena’s roof so Charr/Norn have a chance to zoom out a bit and see wtf is going on!

I’ll give this a try.
I didn’t think about using the Healing Signet.
Her attacks in the first phase usually hurt me a good bit and after using it once I made it to phase two pretty easy.
Though I know relize she does that whirling attack with the blades.

Do you know if Endure Pain works against the AOE blasts?
My DPS isn’t as high (though I run zerker) so I was thinking to hit the clones with fear, frenzy her, whirlwind, then when hundred blades was active, attack her again with it but with endure pain so I can, endure the pain lol, to finish her off.

Edit – Okay so I’ve tried and I’ve tried a bit… and can get her down to 50%.
That’s about it.
It doesn’t feel worth it anymore and I feel like i’m getting too aggravated to want to continue since it’s playing on the one pet-peeve I hate most when it comes to boss fights.
The boss is challenging sure, but it’s not the boss that kills me..
it’s all the OTHER annoying crap!

I could take the boss! Give me the boss, give me her clones, give her x4 damage even!
Every death I have had so far, has been those stupid fields.

Not to mention as well earning up a bunch of tickets to try-try-try in a row takes forever!

I’m not even at home, I’m posting from my phone. Assume all you want to, my post stating that im going to miss our oceanics its because I had a lot of fun over the summer with them. Not because we go around exploiting lol that sounds beyond silly.

Then what needs to happen is IOJ needs to come forward and expose who they were that took Aldons.

A large majority of the oceanic zerg attacked Aldons (Around 25+) and we made them retreat with our AC’s and the Treb before they could even get the first flame ram up, so everything was at 100% health.

Within 2 minutes the fully fortified tower that the main zerg couldn’t even touch is suddenly flipped and the ones who did it was not the main force!

No one there found that suspicious? No one asked “We took Aldons?” or even “How did we take Aldons?”

So right now the right thing that needs to happen is someone, needs to come forward and say “These were the ones that exploited!” with potential names/guilds and of course screenshots.

I had a treb set up to destroy anything at the gate.
I had someone in my party watching all sides, we had arrow carts set up. We were ready..
Suddenly… IOJ are inside the tower, and no walls or the gate was destroyed!

Charr and Norn are never considered when they make these sort of things.

Even during the fight against the Hunter and his Dog it took me 4 tries to finally FINALLY see the meat being thrown and where it was going. The whole match I had to keep swinging my camera around going “Where is it?! WHERE IS IT!?”

Yeah I finally just said “kitten this” and moved on.
The boss is fine, i’m not saying “Darn hard stuff! Make everything easy!!!”.

The problem that has discouraged me was the fact Anet hates large avatars like Norn and Charr with their continue additions of content that involve your camera seeing what your colon looks like (I swear, one more jump puzzle in a tight quarters cave Anet and I will FIGHT YOU ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET!) and this is what has caused me to fail over and over and over.
Never can I get my barings in phase 2. I can’t figure out where the AOE is hitting first to then judge where to move next since they’re at the wall. I have to look back to see which way it’s moving, and this causes 1/2 my screen to be my avatar. And god forbid I try to see where the shadow clones are!
And there is no series of runes, gems, skills or traits that can help you against THAT!
The one time I was finally moving with the safezone, I couldn’t even hurt the boss since when I looked away, it deselected her, and when I used range it ALWAYS targeted the closest clone.
So yeah. 20 Achievement points and a Mini? Not worth it.
Will have an easier time doing a tier 3 match with 5 gambits.
Doing that will reward me 4 achievements and will get the completionist achievement.
Sooo yeah. Open roof arena’s Anet. Start looking into it. Or at least, NOT… A… DOME!!!!

I can confirm. I finally beat her. Ive been fighting her still since this post. I was so happy at the end I almost fainted. I had to go through 3 different builds, completely memorize spawn locations of clones and aoes. I had to memorize the exact move of everything I did, down to the exact second. I actually lost a lot of hope in the last two hours. It was alot of retraiting, and dying mindlessly in phase 1 because of exhaustion. I don’t know if having that mini pet is necessarily a good thing. It reminds me of the hell I had to face in that arena.

As a warrior who has played a zerker build for 10 months, and a tank build for 1 month. I can say the best way to go is this
1. Regeneration booster, armor booster, damage booster, and swiftness booster
2. I did all my trinkets(accesory, amulet, rings, backpiece) as rabid gear(toughness, prec, Condition Damage).
3. Traits were 30/30/10
4. Supeiror Rune of the krait FTW
5. Bow and Rifle. ESPECIALLY IN PHSE 2. this i what I did, the combo. I took out my bow, targeted her, used the 5th skill for 22 seconds of 6 stacks of bleeding, then switched to rifle immediately along with popping balanced stance so i could keep running without getting crippled, and shot her about 8 times for 14 stacks that woked well. Using this combo works excellently.

Overall, I think this fight is difficult as a warrior. I spent 4 of those 7 hours of the wrong build acc. But this is a fght that is also extremely easy to screw up. Even though I felt confident in everything, there were a lot of times where one wrong move, and I mean one move, screwed me up completely and lead me to my death. You’re gonna have to deal with failure a lot. Its gonna be a lot of swearing, and throwing stuff(a pillow in my case which woke up my dog). But you can do it.

I’ve tried as much as that as I could afford.
The one thing so far I learned is… Cheat.
Turn Post-Processing OFF, boom, now you won’t get Solar Flared.

Now it’s slow going for me…since I have to grind tickets again.

I’ve been trying to beat Liadri to the point I’ve ran out of tickets.
I’ve gotten her to stage 2, and I’ve even gotten her down to 50% health, but I can’t for the life of me complete this match.

The camera keeps getting wedged into me when I stick to the outter wall’s safe spot. I feel personally if the camera was, further back, i’d be able to beat this match no problem….

I currently use a GS/Rifle, any suggestions?

For me it doesn’t feel as if Liadri isn’t the problem.
The boss is fine, but where Anet messed up was the Arena itself.
Poorly designed… hard to see AOE floors, a cramped camera angle that screws over Norn and Charr.
Being in the same instance as everything else so the framerate gets shot for a lot of people when you have your entire server below you fighting a champion.

I’ve watched videos of other races doing the arena and it’s not nearly as bad as it is for them as it is for Charr :<

My issue isn’t the boss herself.

It’s the camera.

If I could just, have it further back a little bit, I could actually SEE what’s going on around me.
Keep track of the shadow clones.
See where the safe spots are.
On stage 2 it’s just a cluster and playing charr doesn’t help at all!!!

I’ve managed to get her down to 50% HP a few times, but I can’t do more cause when it’s time for me to get moving, I have of course, “Camera in Back” issues…

So far the only thing I have not liked about the event (besides the… final gauntlet battle where my hardest foe is my camera since I play charr and the lack of waypoint closer to the arenas themselves…

What is was, was when I saw Rox and Braham again I thought “Oh boy! It’s these two again! Oh and Rox has frostbite with her. I’mma go say hello~”

So I went over to say hi to them, figure maybe i’ll find out what they were doing between Flame and Frost and now.

And what does she say?

“I’m Rox, and this here is Frostbite.”

We put a cop, a puppet cop, in a council of robbers.

Unless this fractal about the reactor serves as some big “foreshadowing” event about who caused it and be all mysterious, then this sucks.

And we already know, already know the majority of folks who voted for Kiel just wanted reduced waypoint costs.
And we already know what’s gonna happen.

If the price isn’t reduced a lot, they’re gonna complain.
Once the price returns to normal, they’re gonna complain.

Well, IOJ took SM just now.

Again I did everything in my power to stop them!
Oh how I tried…

When they attacked the north gate, “I” was the one hitting and destroying their rams with the cannon and drove their force back single-handidly!

When they attacked the southwest gate, “I” was the one hitting them again with the west cannon! And then the south cannon once they broke through… happily destroying three of their golems!

Then when they all horded on the wall and went to destroy the cannon, I hurried off and planted an arrow cart!
When they attacked the south inner gate, I rained arrows down upon them!

Then had to… run.. when we lost.

But I got revenge at Bravost right after! When they horded into that sentry ring, I used that superior arrow cart on them! Killed Three! Downed plenty!

Alas, all these efforts were fruitless. Today anyways.
Previous days… well, here’s a secret.

Whenever IOJ was getting trebbed.
“I” was the one on the trebs. Usually.

We also had an incident with a thief in Klovan even though the walls/gate was up, but we believe he was already in there since he was able to cloak quite a long time.

Some SS’s should be that our Inner Keep’s staircase was being hit by AC’s located down by the Watergate. Among others.

My two biggest complaints about survival is the Pistol you can get at the very start.
I’ve been shot with it, there’s no cast time for it. Click, bang, dead instantly.
It’s a guaranteed 1-shot kill so whoever grabs the pistol just needs to find the guy who manages to get enough rations, pop him once, kill em, grab his stuff.

The ghosts I also feel are overpowered.

When it’s down to the final 3-4 people, the ghosts DO decide who wins.
The karka is annoying because of how powerful it is, summoning it below someone stuns them, and it FOLLOWS YOU ALL OVER THE PLACE…

Ghosts should be an annoyance, not a Grim Reaper floating around.
People say it’d be boring without ghosts since people would hide
They do have the trap that makes you a Beacon, although the additional damage it does is kinda BS.

I find ghosts can be quite overpowered once enough people die and they ALL target you.
Everytime you loot something, they get more powerful, and then they spam traps and karka around you till you die.
So the only real way to guarantee victory is in the 2 minute grace period, horde as many rations as you can, then kill people around corners then hide, working off your rations while the ghosts hunt down the other guy or he dies from hunger.

I was wondering why I couldn’t play certain songs now.
And now I know why no one is playing the flute anymore in Lion’s Arch.
I kinda feel cheated.
I paid 800 gems for a flute so I can play songs and have fun, and was enjoying myself and acting all “suave” when I was like “Hey, check this out… it’s Temple of Time” and people oooed and aahhed.
But now I can’t do anything with it.
If it’s not fixed to where we can play the same note twice again, I’m asking for a refund.
This is not the product I purchased.

“I” can be found all over the place in Darkhaven. In World Vs World. In fractals of the mist. In another world.. a world of twenty, twenty thousand girls.. and filth and rectangles and obdomistrists and a man with a golden eyeball!

Do T4 solo and do this. Once you start the battle, stay near where the mortars start.
Use a RANGED weapon.
When enemies spawn, they’ll generally stay near the center, and rarely come to you. Just use range to kill the smugglers as they spawn and when they return with loot.
When the mortar guys spawn, just use some form of knockback from their initial spot, and they’ll stay there the rest of the game, not attacking and not setting down mortars.
Really all there is to it.

And make sure to have something to remove bleed. If a Veteran Swashbuckler gets to you, they can stack up to 24 bleed and that will drain almost 3k health a tick!

I’ve already thrown in 40 tickets for Evon…
