Well I really don’t know anyone who has the possibilities of creating/assembling such system. And to be frankly I wouldn’t start on it myself xp I’m handy but these are some delicate stuff.
But the site made me actually pretty sure to do it at the store. I compared the components their site offered and a lot are the same. In total it’s only 70€ more expensive but those are the installation fees. Then I’m sure all things are in the proper place and no issues with warranties afterwards
Would a gtx970 get me settled for a few years :p and the budget was just an aiming prefer to add 400€ but that I have a system that can last a time :p

Problem with video cards is that they always out-date fast, unless you buy high-end ones that cost you 500-800 euro a card.

The 900 series is recently released, should be able to keep up at least a year on MAX Full HD settings.

Can you give me a link to where you are looking? As most of those companies actually list “nearly” the same but leave out specific details that might end you with lesser quality.

I do have another question also. What about overclocking? I read the K-series are abled to be overclcoked so the GPU works at higher speed with better results but I also heard that it reduces the lifespan? Is this true? Should an GTX 970 actually need an overclock or is it powerfull enough at it’s own?

I picked the K series as it’s only 10 euro’s more than the non-K series, it’s incase you want to have a look into overclocking at some point (Don’t expect miracles from it)

If you’re thinking about crafting some equipment to increase your survivability in WvW, you only need 400 Leatherworking to craft exotic gear. The stat combination you’ll want is Soldiers (Power, Toughness, Vitality).

But, if you’re still adamant on making your Ascended armour, Soldier’s – or in this case, Ahamid’s – is still the stat combination you’ll want to go for.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just buy PVT gear with WvW tokens or any other Dungeons?

If you have poor survivability, you shouldn’t be looking at your armor.

Check your build!

Once you found a build you love to play with, then you can look into ascended armor to get those are few % stats boost!

If you got an OS already, or can get it somewhere else cheaper that’s -100 eu.
If you already got a suitable case for an ATX motherboard that’s -75 eu.

p.s. with 4 year old sata disks I wouldn’t worry that much, I’ve got one in mine that’s nearly 6 years old.

Putting your old Sata disks in your pc won’t hurt you that much, just don’t install any programs on it… – Only use them for data storage that doesn’t have to transfer a lot (movies, pictures, etc)

Install your OS and GW2 on your SSD.

I’ll have a look into what’s available in belgium within your budget.

Are you 100% you wanna buy a pre-made? Isn’t there anyone in your environment who can assemble a pc?

Ascended is pretty much the end-game gear, legendary has the same stats so there’s no need to get those.

Full Ascended however isn’t needed

If I remember correctly if you’ve got Exotic gear with Ascended trinkets (amulet, rings, earrings). Compare that with full ascended and the stats boost is 10%

Conclusion:
Exotic is more then fine for end-game content, ascended is for those that like to squeeze out those last few %’s

i7 is not wasting money.. if we compare it to i5, in GW2 it is going backward.. the difference between them is, that i7 has HT, so each core is connected with 2 threads.. it is rly nice feature, but if u have (lets say) multi-core application and its not optimised for HT.. it decrase performance..

Hyperthreading is a marketing gimmick more than it’s usefull, besides that HT isn’t that usefull in any games. In My Opinion, not worth the money.

In my country the price difference between a i7 4790k and i5 4690k is €95,-
not worth it…

It’s Old Server Node System + Megaserver = best of both?

Random Nodes were introduced so players were not able to put a character near a node “Rich Oricalcum” and just hop on that character and farm them easily.

Before Megaservers, every map had their own random rotation.
This was great, as there was a website that told players where they could find their nodes.

Now my suggestion:
As PvE is one Big Megaserver, plz make nodes static for every map! Do keep the random node spawns, but only change them at reset.

This would result in:
- Random Node locations every day
- Every map having the same Node Locations for that day.

Gathering nodes would still be the same, player is only allowed to farm that node “Once” a day, no matter if he goes to different version of the same maps.

Anyone got a nice example of how rotations work, because watching random stuff doesn’t give me the information I need :P

I did watch a few ESL games, they talked about rotations but couldn’t see how they worked etc.

Note to OP:
As long as you’re only doing PvE / PvP there’s no need to move servers.
WvW is the only thing that would require you to move server.

So any US server / guild can take you without problems

I follow a few steps every time I encounter a Mes.
First I Ctrl+T to target the real mesmer, helps in the heat of the fight.
Save things like Purging Flames for when there are lots of clones about, It will destroy them all, leaving just the real mesmer and taking away their shatter. If you time and position it right then you really take these ting out of a mes.
Stay close, don’t let them GS you from afar as their auto attack with GS can really add up.
Finally, just keep up the pressure, usually the Mesmer will crumble unless they are a skilled one at which point it just comes down to skill v skill.

My build uses smite condition rather then Purge.
Any good reasons to switch my smite for purge?

Because if it’s just for mesmers, I won’t change it.

i5 is MORE then fine, i7 is just waste of money for GW2
8gb DDR3 1600mhz is enough, higher mhz doesn’t give more in GW2
Get whatever card you can afford, reasoning below.
I would suggest think of an SSD (120-240gb) does improve your load times massive!
Can’t really go wrong on the motherboard
PSU: 600w is more then enough!

Video card:
The problem with GW2 is, you won’t ever get constant 30+ FPS. The game just isn’t designed that way that it can max out your video card. (Talking about high population like world bosses)

When you’re in a map on your own you’ll get 30-60 fps quite easily with a decent card.

Another awesome suggestion:
Diminish levels back to max of lvl 20 like in GW1

If you have any experience in home-build pc’s I’d suggest that over buying the one from some shop.

Legging will cost you:
4 Bolt of Damask
4 Deldrimor Steel

Damask will cost you +/- 112g
Deldrimor will cost you +/- 36g
+ 500 armorsmith +/- 42g
Total = 200g.

If you go slow and buy everything for cheapest prices / farm / salvage a lot you should be able to get it a lot cheaper.

In a game that asks me to type the full name to delete a booster powder but doesn’t even blip when you kick a member ( thank god they removed it from the party options ) you expect a guild wide message system? How about Daily Guild activities?

If we make them like the Daily activities, they could be rewarding for the players, guild and have something more to do on the daily basis.

For example:
Complete Loreclaw Expanse by 15 different Guild Members.
Kill world bosses with a full Guild Group x3
Help another Guild Member with their personal story x10

As extra reward the guild could get 10 influence for every player that complets it, the players could get 1 extra chest of RNG.

Players will only be able to do 1 “Guild Daily” per account, per day.
So if players have multiple guilds, they can only complete it on one of them.

Maybe combine them with the current dailies, so players can help theirselves + their guild at the same time?

Here’s the build I run in PvP, which is really good vs thiefs
I do have sword instead of scepter
And travelere runes over Pack.

But it’s what you prefer

I’d suggest checking youtube for “Let’s Play” video’s from the seasons you’ve missed.

The Monthly Progress bar is as far as I know, just clumsy, as there’s no monthly anymore – it should’ve been removed with it.

So for now it’s just stuck there, as a memory of the past – confusing players who haven’t seen the new system yet ^^

I’m wondering if this “Gear Check” will solve any of your problems.

As I can see the following coming from this:
Players without the meta build / gear will be rejected from the Speed Runners group.
So our player will do his mostest best to get all the gear the “Current Meta” is telling him to grab.

Our so proud player with full meta now joins a group of Speed Runners and is showing off all his fancy gear

Though, halfway or even earlier into the dungeon he’s failing epicly. As he’s not used to having this meta build, and there was little to no practice because our player doesn’t have a guild or friends to teach him.

Now we can counter this aswell, by adding some “review” system to the table, to review players on their qualities. but that’s a little over the top.

In short:
You’ll find players with the right gear / traits, but that doesn’t tell a single bit about SKILL.

Practice makes perfect, but I can already see players with “Full Meta” getting kicked as they die on accident / unexperienced at certain bosses. Just to be replaced by another “Full Meta”

There’s a new system, that removed monthly and changed it do daily logins.

Your monthly basicly exists solely out of logging in. Log-in 28 times (doesn’t have to be on row, can take a break in between won’t reset) to claim all the rewards, once done. There will be a new “Monthly Calendar” you can open by logging in.

It’s like those December calendars, where you gotta open one a day. Only you can’t catch up those you didn’t login, though progress won’t reset untill you gotten em all

If players don’t allow their gear to be checked → kick
If players allow, but don’t have the right gear → kick

I’m afraid this will even turn leveling characters onto elitism, if a lvl 40 player runs full greens when they only want Rare gear…

I pvp for my dailies, as I’m a PvE player myself.
I also pvp when my guildies are, with ts etc. Just fun doing this stuff together

Skipping is exploiting. Exploiting is illegal.

Buying a path that’s exploited is legal, the player who sells is being illegal.

What they could do is: keep all your weapons in your inventory, wether they’re equipped or not.

That’s under Macro’s, which the rules are stating: 1 key allows 1 action. So pressing 1 key should give 1 letter or 1 spacebar.

Though they’ve allowed Music Instruments to be macro-ed, I would say using emotes as macro should be allowed aswell.

It’s all a lots of vague

Most likely won’t get banned for it, though they’ll won’t ever tell you that it’s legal that you’re doing it and are doing it on your own risk.
