Besides the obvious: try not to spam your skills as you’ve got a lot of skills to avoid damage:
GS 3: Blinds
Sw 2: Blinds
Fo4: blinds
Fo5: 3 blocks
Virtue of justice (if traited): Blinds

Now for skills:
Retreat: Gives a block
Cleanse condition: Can also be used offensive to deal dmg!

Elite:
Renewed Focus: 2 secs invulnerable

Learn your enemies and learn when to use what skill.
It will save your life!

I gonna love this ability, everytime someone jumps wrong I’ll be there to laugh at them xD

I’m waiting for this feature as I just cba with switching between traits all the time between farming / dungeon / etc.

As your in UW, but didn’t mention WvW (Except EotM) I’m gonna give it a shot

When The Night Falls [WTNF] is an Dedicated PvE Guild with players also doing PvP, only a few do WvW.
We’d like to see ourselves as an Casual / Family type of Guild, where players are valued by their Attitude and Personality.

We don’t have a lot of players around your level specific, however we’ve got a lot of players still leveling their main or alts. I can’t guarantee that you’ll be helped on the spot when asked, though if you can wait a little bit – there will be players willing to guide you!

As you’re level 30, it might be nice going into Ascalonian Catacombs with some guildies. As dungeon completion gives you 70% of a level (and can be done with guild!)

Why I mentioned WvW and UW? As long as you’re not doing WvW you can play with every other EU server, as it’s one big Megaserver. We won’t keep you away from WvW though the guild won’t offer any WvW Events

I’m just gonna work trough your list and answer what we’ve got to offer

I’m mostly looking for a friendly, active community to party up with for world bosses, dungeons, fractals, guild missions, and any general living world fun!
- Friendly, sometimes :P But always respectfull
- Community, our players do world bosses, dungeons, fractals not that often
- We’ve got 2 days of guild missions, saturday and sunday
- I do living world, as most players with us I believe.

Don’t expect Fractals lvl 50 or Arah paths with us, as we’re a casual / family style of guild that doesn’t have dedicated teams for them.

You won’t find WvW with us, as we’re Dedicated to PvE. Though you will find players to do PvP with, as there’s quite a few who like to do that besides PvE. We won’t stop you from doing WvW, though there won’t be any guild organised events for it.

I would not recommend starting all over, the first 20 levels are experienced as “a pain” to players who know the old system. I would continue on your thief and once level 80 looking into another class.

You can find them just by playing the game, there’s no need for a new toon for those.

If Anet is smart, they will give you free acces to the entire S2 of LS once you bought the HoT expansion.

Otherwise players get the expansion and will have to cough up 1600 gems? for the introduction it :/

I’ve done some calculations and I think your price is a bit off.
Bounties upgrade = 60g
All tabs to level 5 = 292g
Extra stuff like guild vault etc = 35g
your remaining 36k influence = 72g

Making a total of: 459 gold.
However players can buy the amount of influence for exactly the same price. (With their own name, tag and logo)

So cause your guild is 2nd hand, I’d suggest a 75% ratio over the 100% making your guild worth about: 344,5 Gold.

There’s no custom channel / alliances or anything you can use to share chat between two guilds.

I don’t like WvW, and rather not go in there if some other WvW enthousiast would love to have my spot…

They’ll find a way that a few inexperienced players won’t mess up the entire instance.
They’re waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to proud of their “Friendly Community” that they won’t add things where other might rage upon (like 1 player killing the entire content)

You’ll be able to do most things with a nice guild, group. and there’s plenty of solo content for you I’d say

I’ve had a guildie quit the game after 4 weeks stuck at 1 Tower/Keep on enemy point. When I noticed we changed to the color he needed I contacted him on FB.

Maybe take a break and have people alarm you when colors changed?

I think if they’re gonna add stuff, it’s most likely from Eye of the North. As that’s the direct predecessor to GW2.

TLDR/To keep it short, please revise the decision to pay for parts of the Living World Story, it’s not fair to people who have a busy personal life and wish to enjoy the game to it’s fullest with a strickt budget.

200 Gems is a lot I agree, though unlocking this stuff is merely “Logging in to Launcher”
You don’t even have to update the game for it, just login to the launcher within a 336 hour window and you’ve got it unlocked.

Anyone is able to do this, even if you have a laptop that doesn’t support the game, it will still handle the launcher and gives you login credits.

160 bags here and I’m also permanent out of space…
I carry 3 armor sets, 2 weapon sets, 2 trinket sets, a bag filled with usefull stuff (heroes banners, potions, food, etc)

I need my copper salvage o matic just to clear up space every day, and I don’t even farm hard-core :/

Maybe it’s because I’m a 1 main player, I’ve got everything with me I need and never switch stuff to alts because I just never play those.

Give me more bag slots and I’ll pay :P

Sure you can, how about:
- Smaller guilds can remain small while having more players to play content with
- Guild Missions, maybe fire off Alliance Missions instead of for 1 guild?
- Social benefits

As you didn’t mention WvW / Zergs as one of your prime activities I’m gonna give it a try

When The Night Falls [WTNF] is a guild on Aurora Glade (EU Server), though as we don’t do any WvW activities your server won’t matter to us. PvE/PvP you can join all our guildies in events and activities (Except WvW as just stated)

Friendly and Active are some of those “Terms” I’d like to avoid to describe the guild.
However there’s an average of 15-30 players online in the evenings.
We’re an Casual / Family type of guild where players are valued by their Attitude and Personality.

I’m always open for a good chat, and if you ask in guild chat there should be players to help you learn new content!

It’s offseason, who cares about ranking?
Even when it’s season, who cares about ranking? The leaderboard is still a grind atm. Until they change that it doesn’t matter that much.

I thought there is a r10 (or 20?) req to queue ranked? Not sure about it though.

Some players expect skilled folks in Ranked, so it matters to some.

No there’s no rank requirement to Ranked so far, believe they’ve said they’re thinking on introducing some sort of system.

Are you NA or EU server?
Specific for WvW, what is your server atm?

I can only offer you something for the PvE wish you’ve got, WvW isn’t something we offer. (We are EU)

Just to have something clear: They didn’t actually leech.
They took positions along the event and contributed to the event

Solo pugging unranked is terrible right now because of all the new players that got GW2 for $10. Some of the things I’ve noticed:

1. Double capping home
2. Fighting in roads while 2-3 capped, opposite of spawn camping.
3. Killing animal at the beginning when enemy team has a thief. (when I tell my team not to)
4. Lord rush before 350 or while we are ahead.
5. Not calling targets or focusing targets, not stomping/reviving.
6. Zerging orb with 3-4 players while we get 3 capped. Ignoring advice to focus on holding points and treating orb as a secondary mechanic.
7. Complaining about needing the daily PvP achievement and not knowing their class.

Anyone else noticed the same thing.

You can’t expect players to know all this, neither can you expect that they’ll blindly take your advise (if they even understand).

I’m sorry, but this will only fix when you get players who know what they’re doing on your team, not everyone is so devoted to PvP that they’ll go on the forums / internet to search for tactics etc.
