Today my guild did Langmar Estate Guild Puzzle.
Arriving at the puzzle the timer was 8 minutes, checking a different map gave us a timer of 12 minutes.

With 6 minutes on the clock we decided to go for it, we entered with 30+ and finished it with 20 seconds left on the clock.

However, this wasn’t a good thing for us.
We had a few players who were a tiny bit behind, which made they didn’t get their rewards. So 25+ got rewards, and 5 players got locked out.

Why can’t we get instanced Missions? (Puzzle should be very possible, rushes are harder in that context I agree)

We had 2 choices, either wait 6-8 minutes (wasted time) or go in (which didn’t turn out great and we had to do another).

Why can’t we get a Guild timer or something
(Timer/Counter that only works for your guild, no matter if another one is already active)

Yes, we got the message to accept/decline (Which someone accidently accepted instead declined)

Think they’ll sell better if they sell it as oufit, and the helmet seperatly for 300 gems.
I would buy the Helmet, I won’t buy the outfit.

If it’s a virus in the GW2.exe file we should get a whole lot more reports then your double (single) incident.

Here we go again, Guild Missions in 28 minutes!

Just wondering if this would be “legal”.

They’ve stated that 1 macro should perform 1 function. Anything more isn’t allowed.
So I take this in as 1 button is allowed to do 1 click.

Now I’ve got 18 macro buttons here, which I’ve all assigned to 1 click each.
If I just faceroll these buttons, the “1 button 1 function” is still done.

Though I would be able to click a whole lot more without destroying my left finger.

Leveling : Unfortunately first dungeon is at 30 and there is no xp for pvp.

Events: Almost every event boss has unavoidable oneshot mechanics

Poison/Bleed: Completely overpowered imho.

Classes/Depth: There is always one or two skills that i don’t like using. No rotation, no thought, no depth behind it.

World Bosses: Zergfest….nothing more to mention here.

Here we go, my answer to all your things!

Leveling: You can get experience to level trough PvP (Tomes of Knowledge) which you will get every time you rank up + every progression in your PvP Track (that’s 1 per, total of 8 per track)

I’m like you, I don’t enjoy leveling – though you have to start somewhere to get your first 80 right? and that’s not that hard to be honest

Events: You are talking about Spider Queen which is level 35 while you are level 29 and probably undergeared? (read somewhere you had a lvl 29 and 20). Ofcourse they one shot you! You aren’t the right level yet. On the other hand, it’s a learn to play.

Nothing of Spider Queen will one shot you, poison fields require positioning, her web blast requires a dodge (or condi clear when hit). You can range her pretty easily and if you stand behind her it’s a pretty safe melee spot aswell.

Poison/Bleed: Get condition clears! If you don’t have condition removal you die because of those. Otherwise you laugh at these and happily keep going.

Classes/Depth: I would suggest start an elementalist/Engineer and look up some builds. These have a lot of depth/thought and rotation in them.

If you ever visit metabattle you’ll find all builds there have a lot of depth and thought, though GW2 allows everyone to play how they want so in-depth isn’t necessary to complete PvE content.

World Bosses: True, untill you get to Tequatl or Triple Threat.

That would be on Ehmry Bay [NA] server.
I just checked [ART] and that’s an WvW / PvX guild.

We are mostly focused on PvE, but got quite a few players to do PvP aswell (nothing organised or hardcore, but casual and fun, though I personally aim to win :P)

As we don’t do WvW, any player on an EU server can join us.
Thanks to Megaservers every EU server can play together in PvE and PvP.

If u r on guild raid and not on ts = kick
If u r on guild raid with 20 players and 5of them are rangers, 3 mesmers, etc. = kick most of them
If he says he wants u all to go his builds(uniforms) and u dont want to = kick
if u dont like his leading = leave
If u dont like his personality or uniforms = also leave

If u dont like it and dont enjoy even guild raid with hardcore guild where u try hard, just leave

This might work with established guilds out there that have always worked with this, sudden changes in attitude / behavior however don’t.

He won’t have a guild left if he continues this way.

Not normal, you should leave (most likely you can create your own guild by all that left it)

A very wild guess: I think you did great, got many times MVP of your team – but still lost because your party members afk’ed for the daily participate achievements.

About 70% of the time.

@Drigori, he’s on Crystal Desert wich is an NA server.
So he can’t join you cause AG is EU

Soldiers gear, don’t go for Sentinels or any other kind of gear that has high tough/vit.
You don’t need it, and you’d just cut your own fingers by giving up damage.

I think it’s nice to give the dev’s some feedback about their event.

My feedback:
- 5 wins was too long, I’d rather have 1 win
- Compete in 2 games was nice and simple – but too many people leeched / afk’ed for their AP
- Add another game to give more variation (Rollerbeetle Racing, Boardwalk Games, etc)
- Loved the MF option on the envelopes! (more please!!)

What feedback would you give the dev’s so they can try to improve/adjust the next years New Year event?!

As far as I’m aware it has always been suggested to remove the key for backpedaling.

I see your point in the longterm, however should a guild adept to the need of a few players? 100% might be counterproductive to those that “Evolve, doing new stuff” – if a PvE player turns WvW they can’t be in the 100% rep guild anymore agreed.

Then again, why would a PvE guild have WvW players?
I don’t think the need of the few should determine what a guild is about. A guild should have a focus, and with that focus get people in that play such content.

I don’t see your issue, guilds that have been 99/100% represent from creation don’t have these problems. They’re merely looking for long time players, you could say they move away from non rep issues since start but I don’t see how that’s valid to your opinion.

“A quick and crude fix” that works very well with many 100% represent guilds, various sizes and ages. Though in my opinion it’s not a fix but a mindset.

Can you check that GTX250? As far as I’m aware no such card exists :P

all the 100% rep guilds I’ve joined I’ve quickly left because they’re just too pushy, uptight or srsbsns. the decent guilds don’t need to ask for 100% rep, because they make you WANT to rep, not because they need it

In my vision the higher the represent, the more of a community the guild will become (players see another talk, can join in on anything said in guild chat, etc).

Though to state a 100% rep guild isn’t a decent guild, that’s just a clouded one sided view.

There’s no such thing, however you can use any build and then just change the weapons (WvW train requires hammer right?).

It will be great for WvW zergs, though probably too tanky for PvE.
What is respectable? You’ll do enough damage to kill mobs and they won’t be able to kill you fast.

However there are builds that do more damage, where you are killed faster aswell.

Own the t-shirt shop. But my stance stays. Demanding 100% rep is invasive and rude. I didn’t join your guild(s) with my ACCOUNT. I joined with my CHARACTER. You don’t like it, bite me.

So because you don’t agree with the rules you agreed on upon joining, you won’t leave – making them force to kick you (as you don’t obey rules) and then you still gonna be a hopper.

Don’t like 100% rep guilds? Don’t join them.

There isn’t a whole lot you can upgrade to your CPU, maybe an Q6600 overclocked but then you’ll have to get your hands on that cpu (very rare these days) + how to overclock.

Your GPU will definitely need replacement, but I’m not sure if your CPU is able to feed a strong new GPU. (Basically cpu can only feed 50% where your cpu will only work 50% strong)

Do you have a budget?

stvibes, I would check your WvW server for any guilds (just enter the borderlands and ask for a guild). If you can’t find a nice WvW guild that way you can always delete your characters.

Merely a post hoping this will inspire Dev’s to introduce Rollerbeetle Racing as 2nd Activity during New Year event. During the Dragon Festival in gw1 you could do both the Dragon Arena as Rollerbeetle racing.

Would add some variety to the activities / daily achievements and possibility to make them less grindy

Daily achievement suggestions:
- win 1 dragonball (this promotes actual playing, now players can just AFK)
- participate in 1 rollerbeetle race (Since this activity is focused on personal performance, players don’t have to win but merely finish)

We don’t have any active GM’s in-game, well beside WvW there aren’t any.
All you can do is make screenshots and report :/

I’ve been wondering about this quite a while, tried a bit but that just felt horrible.

I tried: skills 12345, normal 6-0 I turned into Q-T
Forward from W to S.

I really did not like that.

Any suggestions for me to make me use my mouse less for skills?
Current keys in use:
1-0 skills
ASWD walking
R autorun
F loot
C closest target
V (dodge, but can be replaced as I’ve got dodge on a mouse button)
Z look behind character
X 180 turn
Cntrl + Shift are PvE uses to see objectives etc.
(Mouse has 1 side-button free to be assigned)

Anyone got any advise for me, as PvP is not my main focus but I do like to learn and play it.

It’s a zerg fest, not an actuall PvP game based on personal skill.

I would try Warrior / Guardian first, as they both have Heavy Armor.

I won’t have all the answers so I’ll just throw in my opinion

1. Don’t compare this game to WoW, we don’t have a trinity!
2. Traits are unlocked by doing certain events (from level 11+), you should be able to see what events by clicking on them.
3. Sometimes it’s better to have multiple characters for WvW/PvE, though Guardian/Warrior might be nice to try out (Most if not all classes can both do good melee and ranged damage) So it’s really up to your personal choice

The most important tip:
Enjoy the game while leveling, end-game in GW2 isn’t what you’re used to in WoW.
(or so I’ve been told)
