Today’s Daily Krytan Forager was super easy even without a home instance herb node. Love that Beetletun lettuce field! Just WP to Beetletun and run out the main gate, there’s a corral ahead of you with more than enough lettuce plants to let you harvest four.

That WP is also good for Vista in Kryta

Actually, I prefer the Racial cities (when possible) for the vista viewer, as you can go there without any waypoint costs + using a waypoint once inside is free aswell

I’m not gonna say that we’re good, can’t really call us large compared to a 450+ guild either. We do have a nice active memberbase, though we’re on Aurora Glade as guild.

Though as we’re a PvE Dedicated guild, your server doesn’t matter to us as long as you’re on an EU server

Nope, not that I’m aware off. It’s the reason why I always back-up my gw2.dat file before re-installin GW2 :P

345kb/s seems a bit slow, but don’t know how fast your internet is.

my temporary solution to this problem is the following:
-my first 5 bags are normal ones, that compact themselves.
-Then a craftsman bag (does not compact)
-Then 2 invisible bags for equipment (does not compact or sell)

I’ve moved all my gear to the invisible bags, cleaning out the top of my bags.
On the highest row I’ve put my copper/silver o matics together with some usefull items.

This comes down to:
Even though it compacts, it’s still not moving as my highest row consists of mostly permanent items that won’t ever get destroyed.

Still I’d prefer to have them in my 3rd bag, and putting a different bag there that doens’t compact just doesn’t do it for me

When players used map chat they were breaking the game rules. There was a trade chat for the trades.

Condi. damage is just a slight plus, and you get more stats altogether which are much worth it for survivability and support. It works perfectly in fractals and other not-so-much-brainless content.

Oh, and raw numbers don’t make up for poor gameplay and/or unpredictable circumstances that may happen (heavy hp loss -> switch to water for decent healing + aoe support). It’s all about synergy, something zerker gear will never have for eles.

It’s quite rude to call every area where zerker is capable of running “brainless”.

As far as I’m aware off is that zerker meta’s are team builds, they utilize a full team’s capabilities. Where they all deal 90% damage and 10% utility so that one player doesn’t have to carry the others.

Then again, the excuse about poor gameplay can be stated for everyone who’s not at their best that moment. Also predictability is 100% with fractals? as it’s always the same content(Read same content randomly sellected out of static ones) though harder every level.

Back OT:
The zerker vs non-zerker discussion still lives, zerker has been nerfed over time but is still deemed the “Most efficient / Time efficient” in most PvE situations

did the guy say you do like 29% less damage in celestial? I kind of just spend 1 minutes reading it.

and full celestial is a 26% loss.
Another thing is condition damage – eles are still really, really bad at utilizing it compared to engis, necros, and warriors.

That’s what the site said you provided, and that 26% loss is the least, other builds have up to 32,5% loss.

Taking in mind the ele’s are bad for condition dmg, it’s most likely to state that they won’t make up for the 26% power loss.

Heavies are always accepted into pugs. Eles for FGS and exactly 1 time warp mesmer.
Necros / Thieves / Rangers / Engineers = instakick in pugs.

Solo PVE /Leveling:
Warriors are extremely OP in pve compared to the other classes due to high maintainable DPS / mobility / survivability

Is it worth coming back to this game and creating something besides a warrior?

If you’ve got trouble joining an exisiting group, make your own!

Leveling is no problem at all with any class, just play on it’s strenghts
About solo PvE: Mesmer, Warrior, Thief, Ele can solo Arah paths. And that’s only the first page of youtube I’ve checked.

I’ve played with a guardian since headstart, never had a problem – though I mostly run with guild groups. But even in full zerker runs I’m not kicked

To be fair, commander tags in PvE are already heavily over-used. Some guilds even make it a game to have as many commanders tag up as possible :P

An illusion will never attack while moving. Look for whoever is actively trying to avoid your attacks and plan accordingly. If the mesmer enters stealth, use context to determine where they will likely reappear and keep the pressure up as soon as they are visible.

Also, don’t be afraid to kill clones/phantasms if the mesmer is in stealth. The mesmer will not deal damage to you directly while they are in hiding, so use it as a window of opportunity to remove other threats.

You can use contemplation of purity of purging flames as your third skill, if u use purging flames you can also drop torch for focus.

If they spec to bring allot of condition removal the build becomes far less useful, however if played right it can still do some nice damage.
For sigils I use purity then doom.

Actually the do not “Compact” function isn’t specific reserved to the invisible bags.

My oiled leather pack, craftman’s bag, equipment box, fractal equipment bags all have the same:“Do not Compact” feature.

So the invisible bag can still have it’s: Do not sell function, as a stickied item won’t have that.

It’s a bit over the top that an item wouldn’t be able to be sold when stickied, when there are dedicated invisible bags for that.

I’ve got trouble taking down mesmers as a Medi Zerker in PvP, anyone got tips / tricks to make these fights a whole lot easier for me?

Guardian Shield, I’d love to run around with a shield instead of a stupid focus… but the focus is just so much more usefull to me

Why not just implement this in our home instances? A part of me doesn’t want non GW1 players in my HoM

Yesterday, I rearranged my bags. Removed my fractal bags, added normal bags.
Now here’s my problem.

When I had the fractal / oil / craftsman, they were great as items got caught in there first. Though they were horrible for my inventory to Compact, as these bags didn’t work with the Compact button.

So I replaced most of my special bags with normal bags, that do work with the Compact feature. I love the compact feature as it actually gives me such a cleaner inventory.

Now my problem
I used to have my silver/copper fed o matics in my third bag, but as they’re normal bags now they move when I compact my inventory.

My suggestion would be, allow an item to be sticky on a certain location. You can sticky / unsticky it where you want and for as many items as you want.

If you sticky an item, they won’t move when you Compact your inventory. Making them stay on their dedicated spots while still having a very clean and organised inventory!

Let me hear your thoughts!

OP, I actually think it’s awfull this has changed your fun in the game that much.

Though I would like to help you with my opinion on this, I’m a PvE player myself but I do most of my dailies in PvP

- Win as class doesn’t require you to do combat, you just got to win the game (might take a few games but eventually you’ll win one)
- Capture a point, you can walk up to a point where nobody is defending and capture it (I have had this multiple times, as I’m still low rank myself)
- If you’ve got to kill people in PvP, just run along with another team mate of yours. Try to stay by his side all the time, if you hit them and he kills them you’ll also get the credit
- Gain Rank points, I believe if you focus yourself on capture points and then run to the next one – should give you enough rank points in one game to get this

I’ve got no advise for the WvW dailies, maybe someone else got easy tips for you there?

If there’s anything I could help you with, just hit me up in-game I’d love to help you in PvP

As for OP: I don’t see anything wrong with adding some more exploration or simpler dailies for people in your situation, or who don’t enjoy the current dailies.
I don’t mind them, but more options don’t hurt anyone.

This is mere suggestions to be a far capper / point breaker. Where little to no combat is involved. Besides if he stays near one of his teammates he can still help with the kills / caps while there’s always backup for him as he told he’s not good at that due to his hands…

I see little harm to players if he’s a farcapper / point breaker, or runs together with another player to make them a duo for capping points.

He’s most likely a low ranked, so there’s little to no harm done.

So I decided to make a guide for it: Easy Daily Completionist.

I won’t be talking about how the game forces you into different content of the game, or that you’re not able to do what you like to do and be rewarded with your 10 AP.

I’ll be talking about which dailies we’ve got, and what the easier way is to get them!

Whenever you encounter an: [&BDMEAAA=] code. Copy and paste it to in-game chat. Press Enter to send, which will give you a waypoint link you can follow on the world map.

PvE Daily Achievements:
- Daily Fractal
This daily requires at least 3 players!
Enter Fractals of the Mists (level 1 is easiest) at [&BDMEAAA=]

Walk into the blue circle at the center of the mistlock platform and Enter.
We’re looking for “Swamp Fractal”, if you didn’t find it use the “leave button” on the right to exit back to the mistlock platform. Enter again to find Swamp, rinse and repeat till you found it.

Enter your world’s borderland -> and find the Armor Master or Weapon Master.

Depending on which color map you are on, they can be found South of the following waypoint:

Buy items up to 25 Badges of Honor, this can be done cheapest by buying blue and green items.

- Daily Master of Ruins
In-game press B to open up your WvW tab, or click the WvW Icon on top.
Enter the borderland which your server holds the most ground.(You can see this by checking the Pie-Chart, the more color of your server – the more ground it holds on that borderland)

Depending on the borderland you entered, go to the following location:
Green Borderlands: [&BDQFAAA=]
Red Borderlands: [&BBAFAAA=]
Blue Borderlands: [&BCIFAAA=]
This is where the ruins are located.

To capture a ruin, all you’ve got to do is stand inside them for an X amount of seconds.

You can’t capture the ruin while an enemy player is standing inside the circle aswell.
Either kill him or find another ruin without enemy players.

Please take in consideration, for your Daily Achievement Points you only need 3 of these achievements. You can do more but these Don’t Reward AP.

Sure, you’re right. But I can’t put myself really into the story, and I don’t like the PvE aspect to much in this game. For a good story I’d rather read a book. (My opinion)

But in this case I just want to see the final boss battle (if it has one).

It is understandable

If you don’t like to play them, maybe find the story parts on Youtube? That way you don’t have to pay / play the stories but you’re still up to date on the story before you play the final part.

If you’ve got trouble staying alive, go full soldiers.

Other then that full zerker is all you need for trash mobs, though in dungeons you might die very fast if you’re unfamilliar with them.

I don’t think there’s really a great build for open world, as everything will work and is great.

I’ve got retreat for the speed, smite condition and save yourselfes for the buff – as recharges don’t really bother as all are very short fights.

How to mitigate damage
- You’ve got a total of 4 blinds
GS Leap
Sword Tele
Focus 4
Virtue of justice

GS 5 might interrupt on pull if you’re able to hit stuff with it.
Besides that you’ve got your blocks.
Focus 5: 3 blocks 5s
Shelter: 2s
Renewed Focus: 2s

Keep Shelter and Renewed till the last moments, either under heavy damage or to negate a burst attack.

I’m gonna assume you already do this, but gonna point it out anyway. When you use Renewed, make sure you’ve activated all your virtues. as they all recharge due to Renewed.

One tip:
Either avoid their initial burst, or be the one that’s bursting first! I always try to burst first, as their burst mostly gets me for 50-70% of my health when not avoided.

Whatever it is, it’s closer in resemblance to the Ghostly Hero then to Rurik. Maybe they used AC parts but that helmet and pants are like 1-1 in looks.

That throne is more reason to believe it’s Turai / Ghostly – it doesn’t make sense, though it’s more then what we know about Rurik.

As he’s also in the priory archives, I’d say he’s summoned somehow to tell the heroes to get past the runed door. As which a guildie of mine claims they are “Sealing Runes” rather then specific for the Hall of Ascension.
