This is not effective, it’s just useful to some people who for some reason have a hard time with it. I’m sure the instances where a rough estimate of the percentage of a wall/gate of a tower has cost them to lose it are few and far between.

You can always say < or > 5%, 25%, 50, 75%. Those are the easier numbers to guess with and no one but a pedantic weirdo is going to crucify you for not knowing it exactly.

So then Gummy is talking about something to OP didn’t even mention, yeah, that’s even more confusing then.

Well the OP was edited and Gummy.4278 mentions WvW forts being affected, so it’s entirely possibly for it to not make sense.

That makes sense. But everyone knows WvW doesn’t fit into lore of PvE so NPCs other than the mist warriors announcing and celebrating it would be weird.

WvW is entirely too broken especially in terms of ranks to give winners a victory party. Many tiers have been facing the same or similar match-ups for weeks now, and due to coverage and population imbalances, can do nothing but back cap and wait to lose the next fortification on their map.

Winning is not everything in WvW, everyone who participates week after week to the same ho-hum matchup, against the same ridiculous zergs, against the same impossible odds, should be appreciated, not just the winners.

Maybe give parties to all servers, but varying levels of celebration. But to only reward a winner would only make servers who are locked in predictable matches less of a reason to play.

You’re asking for a different type of icon because people are being immature idiots? Sorry, but they are the problem, and there’s never going to be a fix for that.

• Type in map/team that you are doing something exclusively with your guild
• Run without the icon and tell your guild members to get in parties and always keep a target on you
• Always communicate with your guild where you are
• Ignore people who are insulting you

This has been suggested numerous times, and no response has been given. You’re best to cope with it and continue waiting.

It was never removed. I think it’s intended that a thief can attempt to hide in a tower / keep. It adds a little more depth to the currently somewhat shallow wvw experience. If this bothers you, use stealth traps to reveal the thief.

Or, you know, sweep towers and keeps the same way everyone else has before stealth traps.

Once again, Mesmers pulling = exploits.

Holy balls stop calling every single thing that is unfair or that you don’t know how to counter an exploit. Playing the game is an exploit, everyone should be banned.

Mag slammed Yaks this morning and virtually ignored Kain.

Here’s the reason: Yak’s was trebbing SMC. A good way to annoy Mag is to contest a wp constantly with trebs until we are forced to come after you. We wanted to wipe YB off of their side of the map for that reason alone.

If WvW wasn’t ZergvZerg, then this would be a lot more possible. It’s not always a matter of skill, who do you expect to beat running around in no armor?

meh, in the beginning it was like that, everything was mentioned with a few exaggerations from both sides and probably a heat of the moment kind of thing on the forums but i’m not about to continue it anymore as it seems to have died down a bit. Now people are just replying to zero to annoy him and make his stay in Kaineng as miserable as possible until they move down to tier 4.

You’re not annoying him, he’s Tolbrihn 2.0. Posting on the forums is not going to make someone’s in-game experience miserable. This is not only to you, but he moved on to a different server and is happy there, wish him the best and let it go.

You are thinking about chance, as in roll the dice with RNG. We are talking about gambling, rolling the dice in a way the only person who really wins is the guy rolling the dice.

Btw you can’t dump in 4 rares and expect to get a Triforge Amulet or something equivalent in price. Those really expensive items are most likely come from mystic forge recipes. They are really expensive because it takes alot of money/time to get those mats.

Chance is another expression of gambling. You are putting in money, gold, or materials and hoping to get something of greater value. Most of the time, you will not. Gambling is determined by wagering your assets for an uncertain outcome. What the outcome is, doesn’t matter, it’s the fact that you don’t know. You could have just flushed four rares down to toilet for one rare that’s not even worth the price of the lowest one you threw in there or you just spent $50 dollars worth of gems only to get experience boosters.

You may get something, and you may be guaranteed something, but you’re not toileting your rares for a 20s rare, and you’re not buying gems on black lion keys to get experience boasters. You’re doing it because you want to win big.

You pay money in order to MAYBE win something.
The RNG in GW2 you pay in order to be guaranteed to get something.

Getting “something” is not the same as getting what you want. You can say “Maybe I will get lucky next time” and continue trying and essentially bleed yourself dry for nothing but exp boosters. RNG is essentially still a lottery and a gamble.

This game includes a part in the personal story where your character becomes intoxicated via a game. A Norn personal story line includes you getting black out drunk, then trying to retrieve something while everyone reminds you of your drunken antics. Elements of drinking and become intoxicated for fun are all over the game.

The damage is already done. This suggestion is not a bad idea because children play the game, it’s a bad idea for plenty other reasons.

Those items were disallowed because they were being abused in combat, the same does not imply for pets. Allowing a pet in PvE but not WvW is a silly way to deal with it.

I don’t get why anyone would lose respect and dislike someone for going to a different server. No matter what the reason is, it is ultimately that person’s choice and whether or not you liked them, you should just move on. This is drama between one guild that stemmed from two people. My issue is, I EXPECT PEOPLE TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY THEIR CLASS…LOL, I shouldnt have to micro manage In order to win, and I refuse to do so lol. I know how to play my Guardian, I dont get why people have to be micromanaged with every single thing.

In the US Army we train people to lead, but once we attain a certain level of skills we are expected to know them and they become “Implied tasks”, basically doing so without having to be told to do so. But yea, different stroke different folks and all.

I never said you need to micro manage every single thing, I simply said communicate. Saying “push” or “back up” is the simplest form of it. Everyone in WvW is not of the same skill and knowledge level, expecting them to know your implied tactics, especially if they’ve never run with you or a group focused on pvp is asinine.

If you’re commanding in purely guild groups, it’s a different story.

Um, yeah. That’s called getting enemies to chase, letting foolish players over extend, and then punishing said players. This whittles down your numbers until we can engage you properly. This is a common tactic to use when outnumbered. Check out my next post!

But we didnt over extend, and Tsarazi blew up the PM’s on me cause we wouldnt engage him at the overly sieged SM. You guys didnt punish us at all. Also in case you thought we were actually trying to capture things, we weren’t we just wanted open field battles with no siege advantages/influence.

You clearly don’t know how it works. People likely to be punished are pubs. Saying we didn’t do so is saying we didn’t kill anyone. Please stop. No one thinks you were trying to capture things.
