I have trouble listening to anything someone has to say if they list mounts as a serious improvement to GW2.

There are a lot of things a game that is less than a year old can learn from a ten year veteran, but lots it can learn from other games too.

Either way, it doesn’t matter. Companies will merge servers when they see an absolute need for it. It doesn’t have anything to do with public interpretation that the game is or might be bombing. Several “large companies” have done it to increase public relations with the game because it was the right thing to do.

The problem with GW2 doing it is that they would need to increase the number of allowed players on a server, which could cause further stress on the physical server.

Going into stealth costs nothing. Traps cost 15 badges (and do hold some value). In the time it’d take to kill the thief, for him to respawn, and hike it back from the WP to his intended target, the WP he’s contesting will not have dropped its swords.
