Play the game the way the developers intended. Why can people not appreciate different things or other peoples’ visions? GW2 was not created with a dedicated healer in mind, that’s exactly what they didn’t want. Stop trying to make every game to be similar to others. I have a level 80 thief and i agree with the OP, they are totally unbalanced, broken and stealth has no counters, they need fixing ASAP..

The only balance is to remove stealth from the game, which isn’t happening. There should never be a reason a class in a MMO should have 100% damage mitigation with a way to keep it up permanently and be unseen to your opponent. But that’s just my opinion. :V

They are already working on an autoloot function.

Someone please teach CD how to read a map. If you are attacking SMC, and Mag starts taking YB towers, you do not start attacking Mag’s side. This is a quick and surefire way to get wiped off the map AND fail at your attempt at SMC.

Because when Mag beats weaker enemies, they boast about how elite Mags are and how garbage their enemies are, and come out in force to ride the karma train. And when Mag gets roll over by stronger enemies, they complain about lack of coverage and manpower, and just stops playing.

Excuses, excuses, and more excuses. Poor winner and sore loser all in one server. Maguuma never ever respect their enemies. That’s why no one likes them.

Once again, that’s not the question. Saying no one likes a server is a bit of an over generalization, but that’s not something you’re not familiar with.

it’s not so much that people are gloating; it’s really a chance to answer the question. Truthfully, a majority of Maguuma forum posters come off as sore losers/poor sports. most of the time if i group with a Maguuma player in WvW we have friendly, funny conversation. In contrast, the Maguuma forum warrior comes off rather …. bitter.

The only answer to the question is a kittenty ranking system. The question wasn’t “Why do forum posters dislike Maguuma?” So it has nothing to do with forum warriors. Most of the Maguuma forum warriors are the ones you’d find being friendly in WvW, because we regard the forum as a whole different breeding ground.

I really enjoy this match up except one thing.
Roaming is virtually impossible.

I’m glad for the fun and awesome fights FA and Mag have brought too us after the stale 13 weeks of boring PvDooring we were forced to do since everyone sat in towers, even with three times our numbers, but I’m starting to miss the lowerish pop servers where I could roam and have decent fights without running into 10+ man groups every 20 seconds.

Anyways, I’m still enjoying this match up and having actual fights is much better then fighting towers, walls, and arrow carts 24/7. Cough BP Cough

I’ve roamed at different times in this match up with groups of less than four. While we did find much larger groups, it was no surprise because we were outmanned. I know everyone’s experience is different, coupled with the time they play, but it’s definitely not “virtually impossible”.

Just so you know Mag, each time you /laugh after wiping a group when you have triple numbers you kill a puppy.

If it makes you feel any better, I spent an hour or so watching my fellow Maguumans get wiped up by equal numbers. It seems a month or so of PvDing against weak servers has made a good portion of my comrades lazy, supercilious and terrible at open field combat.

West keep on SBI was pretty terrible. Four people were able to not only make it to inner but fight off 8 people and NPCs. Patch comes in, makes us restart, we get more people but can’t even break inner.

Welp, we at least took the undefended east keep :V

How can a server win a matchup by not killing a single person?
If WvW has PVE aspects, it should reward with PVE rewards. The PVE aspects of WvW shouldn’t reward with badges of honor, which is reserved for strictly the PVP aspect.

Are you really asking that? Have you never seen a match up with vast population and coverage differences? You never need to touch a single player to win WvW. You simply need to outnumber them and PvD. Sorry to ruin your illusion but WvW is not only about PvP, you get points for holding fortifications, not killing people.

Again, I said it can happen, not that it has.

But that’s a major part of WvW, to grab objectives. Whether they are defended or not isn’t really any fault of the players. Why do you believe doing something that is smart shouldn’t be rewarded?

Taking badges out the JP makes sense, but taking it away from NPCs seems a bit overboard.
