If you want to redo a quest on the same character for kittens and giggles, I don’t think you should be rewarded in any sense other than perhaps, level equivalent karma. Maybe you should try rolling a different class if you’re that bored on current character. Or doing some sPvP, WvW, dungeons, or attempting to get more achievement points.

It is absolutely intended that you can fight people in the JP. The fact that so many people are piling into the map to get the achievement is good for any and all of you who are capable of laying the smack down on them, and, if they manage to fight back is hopefully going to encourage some of them to stick around and play WvW. If you don’t want to get killed by other players, don’t play WvW. Plain and simple. The achievement isn’t required for getting the meta-achievement on purpose.

Spelling what out? Are you talking about mesmers asking elementalists to drop the fiery greatsword so they have intentionally attack and glitch through the gate. Then once they’re in, dropping the portal entre, running outside and dropping the exit so that all their friends can enjoy the party?

That’s not true unless you’re on some PvE or low WvW population server. Yes, the JP has been seeing more action, but it was never “DEAD”. There are guilds that have spent the majority of their time in the JP, killing dudes and looking for fights, this is not something new.

You want an achievement but either you, your server, or your guild don’t have the means to get it. I guess you don’t deserve it after all.

Try not stacking. Usually when pubbies see a guild group doing that, they feel they’re organized and don’t want to engage. You can farm just as easily without stacking, and this is coming from the server that made ANet implement the invulnerability buff on the platform.

While I agree with the sentiment that this is WvW and if you don’t want to fight don’t come here, getting their rears handed to them by ‘griefers’ is in no way shape or form going to encourage anyone to stick around and play WvW. Just the opposite I think.

Well for one, they’re not griefers.

Spawn camping is griefing. The spawn area doesn’t even give you invulnerability. There was even a thread with a pic showing another server’s players on their spawn platform!

Standing on the platform does gives you the invulnerability buff. You’ll lose the buff once you stand on the very, very edge of the platform, or jump down.

Now you have nothing to complain about. Good luck.

See, just as someone reported my post in this thread you can already make a report to ANet about any other player or their actions. If they don’t think you’re being childish or have no way to police said “griefer”, they will handle it. This is not constant harassment we’re talking about, this is a player running around your character is circles. If you seriously cannot learn to ignore that or use the tools you are already given, then I may suggest you take a time out from the game.

You have multiple other options for how to can level and complete your monthly. I’ve never heard of people being forced ot WvW other than the ‘50 invaders kill’.

I can move to a safer spot all I want, but the aggro follows. Logically, it should drop aggro or at least blind foes as you transform so that they don’t follow you.

Talk to a WvW player about ele mist form. It’s a whole different game. In PvE you’re probably boned if you’re downed and by yourself, as are a lot of classes. Just use it the best you can in that situation.

The idea of laurels is to increase longevity of the game through grinding. If you give players a means to access higher levels of armor too quickly, you lose them needing to play for a certain amount of time before they achieve that.

You can’t put a carrot on a stick then give the donkey a longer neck.

There is no longer a T3, there are ratings now. You should have a look at the recent WvW changes if you’ve been away that long. If you left because of the rampant issues WvW had before, there’s no reason to come back. Nothing has changed other than the fact that it’s now possible for servers like EBay to be in the same matchup as TC and DB.

Wow. That’s not what I’m saying at all. People who look the same are those who don’t tweak the sliders. They just pick a default then roll with it. I’ve yet to see anotuer sylvari that looks like my mesmer’s face or even similar. And I do look. I’m saying that adding faces for the sole purpose that “there aren’t enough Asian features” or “why cant I look like x race” is a bit asinine.

It was bugged and inconsistent. Rather than even attempt to fix it, they did away with it completely, so they couldn’t just bring it back without some work being done first.

Yea, in our world we also don’t have only five races. And in Tyria there are no Charr-Asura. The races are distinct and confined to their looks as typically full-blooded people are, something that is not typical in our world. The game is not meant to represent our world in likeness, races, facial features, or looks.

I would say a downfall could be artistic vision. If everyone can look just any ol’ way, how is one race different from another other than being a humanoid cat or mole? There are already games that allow you to create your own character and they give the reasons why.

I know I’ve said this but I’ll say it again, I’m a big fan of full customization. But I can see why there is no need for it, and even as a want, it is a low priority. I’d much rather have more armor options than faces.

While I agree more customization would be nice, the game is built around certain races that look a certain way. The fact that it doesn’t allow the look of any one or other races that actually exist in the world doesn’t really matter.

This kind of borders on harassment. I can hear people crying already. Why would anyone want to be hunted for a week? You’d literally not be able to go anywhere there are NPCs you typically need.

Also, perma-stealth thieves.

Log in. Go to Cursed Shores, hide in some body of water or in a nook where mobs don’t aggro. Win ultimate prize.

Example, as a thief I can be “downed” at the same time as a warrior. If I’m wise I can use my teleport twice and blind and allow his vengeance to wear off and kill himself. Situations like this where you can wisely preform over others in team fights can really change an outcome when it looks like your going to lose.

I don’t think that’s wise, it’s simply a class advantage. Everyone does not have the same down skills and many are just downright useless.
