How a company governs itself and treats customers does concern me. If something happens that I cannot find justifiable I need to learn about it so it cannot happen to me and I can be more aware of it.

You have no point. It’s the responsibility of players to choose names that can’t be considered offensive by someone in charge of that decision. It’s not like that guy is just sitting there looking for someone to ban for no reason.

And when offensive is defined by obtuse, inane, measures and not by generally obvious ones, how are players to determine what is considered offensive if they do not have rules or examples to go off of? In actuality, you cannot choose a name that is not offensive if your reason is “well they say it is so it is”. There will always be something that is offensive since they can just magically will it to be.

I said a certain amount. I don’t know what server you are on, but we don’t have kitten as commanders. Tagging the siege with a player’s name would allow the server to petition if the same guy keeps dropping siege in worthless places.

Neither does my server but allowing one player to do something just because he has more gold than others or chose to waste it a different way is a terrible system to rule off of.

Kudos to a random mesmer from Yak’s on Maguuma BL yesterday for trying to focus the staff ele in a group to cut down healing/AoEs/CC. But when you guys run groups, you really need to party up, call targets, and focus more often. It’s an effective and simple way to win small fights when your allies are pugs.

Err, well that’s two different answers. But it looks like the majority thinks it’s a home BL issue. If I could ask similar question, do you ever get disconnected when there are just a few people within your range?

I agree with everything that the post and you have said, but you need to realize that not every single name ban is offensive, justified, or even understood. If a name a blatently offensive, sure, ban em’. But that is simply just not the case with every single one.

You haven’t been playing this game for long then, have you? You should take a look at wiki pages for said boxes and see the chances you have for rare items dropping. ANet gets its profit from players that are naïve enough to buy into the RNG game in hopes of getting something they want.

Nah, we’d come in dead last. We have fought TC and came back the same as ever. We would just go into don’t defend/fun/zerg busting/farming mode if that happened. Because just like TC, we know it’s near impossible for us to compete with a server with 24/7 coverage and would just try to find ways to have fun. That’s the kind of community we are.

Seriously though WvW is not there to benefit from unless you roam or zerg bust 24/7. There’s a reason dedicated WvW players are generally poorer than their PvE counterparts.

I played a support class before the drop rate increase. That is a literal death sentence for anyone who wants to get kills and rewards from WvW. The point is you do it because it’s what you want to do, because you find WvW/PvP fun even without rewards.

Meh. score update, I love being called a spy by XF because I dance the dance.

Never understood why some people waste their time on opposing realms to spy or do sentry duty on towers / keeps in a game. This makes sense in actual conflicts / wargames in real life for people in armed forces jobs. But having to spend precious leisure time doing guard-duty / spy-duty when playing a game is boring.

Maybe we should out-source these undesirable jobs to low-wages countries where it becomes profitable to treat these spying / guarding duties in a game as a career. It does not take much intelligence / skill to be able to do these jobs. Then again, there’s no reward for having the highest server score in WvW.

Colhearth isn’t doing “guard-duty / spy-duty”. Perhaps you should spend less of your precious leisure time worrying about things that aren’t happening, and worry about recruiting so that KN doesn’t die.

I don’t like PvP. I’m no good at it. And even on days when I do well I still don’t find it fun. I doubt I’m alone. While I could run a dozen or more characters through those maps for the explore bonus it would be a very long and boring job.

Many PvPers don’t like PvE. Getting a legendary is not about doing only what you find fun. Put on your big boy pants with some toughness and escapes, and grind the EBG JP.
