would be nice if the new legendary armors allows you to swap runesets.

Buy extractors from the gem store, that’s what they are there for, also where did ANet say we are getting legendary armor? The back items yes. I’ve heard, but the rest. Or are people just jumping on the raid announcement of legendary rewards and and thinking that that’s confirmation.

And you want rewards for liking different things than i do. Sorry if i don’t agree that your kind of content is in any way better than mine.

But there is a reason why I spent a lot of time in getting a Kudzu and don’t use “Random Exotic Longbow”. Kudzu is just so much prettier! Assuming the legendary set looks good, non-raiders will want to have it, too. As I said, I am tired of games that lock me out from getting nice stuff just because I don’t want to play a specific type of content that I personally find boring more than anything. I could have played any other MMO had I wanted that.

I fully agree, but it’s actually worse than that. Legendary gear is not only a skin that may (or may not) be good. It also offers a QoL function (stat changing) that is highly useful to anyone that runs more than one build. It’s way too useful to be locked behind a single content designed for a tiny minority of players.

You probably can’t swap runes though so the stat swap is pretty much as useless as it is in legendary weapons.

The legendary armor and its parts or whatever is needed to create it should be tradeable. Don’t want to do the raid? buy it from one who does it. Simple as that, problem solved.

Better than nothing, but far from an ideal solution, as all this would do is make raiders richer and non-raiders poorer.

If it’s challenging and requires a lot time spend on it to learn it and do it. I don’t really see any problem in raiders getting richer than non-raiders.

Just don’t stay in a fight with a pu mesmer just run away. One thing they can’t do is chase you, thankfully. You could ofc roll to a pd thief which just destroys a pu mesmer no matter how good he is or how bad you are.
But to be honest the game is not balanced 1v1 and should never be. Although if you want to do proper duels go do them in spvp custom duel arena there are certain rules that one can’t run such cheese builds like celecrap.

Thief has a new artwork with a melee staff, the leaked weapon is a melee staff, and the leaked shield seems to be Glint-theme, and Glint will probably be Revenant’s elite spec.

That being said, the warhorn’s skin fits very well with ele’s leaked artwork.

i think that is druid since its just a medium character with a staff

Yeah I agree that there’s so many comments about wanting burst and this mobile/evade style play. Theres already a class which has all that.

Too much work. Easier to create braindead bosses with infinite defiant stacks, huge health pool and unblockable attacks. This also prevents any type of exploiting like using strategies which involve using skills that reflect projectiles or interrupting a instantly killing attack with cool looking animation.

I dont think that’s possible. The revenant’s bank is a duplicate and seperated bank from other characters.

If OP did indeed find a way to get something from a Revenant to his other characters and can replicate this… he just found one hell of an exploit (infinite exotics from beta gear boxes).

If OP is not mistaken, which seems likely, he should report this before we have another Karma Weapons style exploit in our hands.

I believe only thing able to be transferred from a beta character is siege in WvW by dropping it to another account. Not sure if this was fixed in later patches though.

There will be more than 2 legends afaik, meaning that there will be enough customization.

Although if the skills would still be fixed to those five it would make the profession quite predictable and would leave a lot less customization to it.

There is one thing still very confusing to me about this blog post.

It sounds like the Revenant gets way less customization than other classes. As per usual your first five skills are determined by your weapon, but unlike other classes they said your second five skills are determined by your legend. Are they determined only by your legend? As in, you pick a legend and get the five skills that come with it? Or will there be a selectable loadout of skills within each legend? And if so how many per legend?

I was thinking the same thing. In my opinion it would be very bad design for the new profession to have only fixed utility and heal skills. Unless you could choose the skills from a fixed pool which would be interesting and cool idea.

Immob shouldn’t stack. Also stunned target should be immune to any forms of stun.

Sorry to say that Anet doesn’t have to do diddly squat. Some people got a refund some people didn’t. Only moderators read the forums and only then to delete posts or lock threads. Rather than go on and on about it in the forums, you’d be better off spending the same effort submitting tickets.

(Personally though, I don’t think you really deserve a refund, but that’s not what this thread is about so that’s a discussion for another thread and another day)

I also continue to submit tickets until anet can tell me what the difference is between my situation and those that got refunds or they compensate me. I would probably quit if they gave me a good reason.

You paid the extra legendary by playing the game the other one who received refunds bought it by using his credit card. It’s simple as that.

Theres actually no reason why Liadri mini shouldn’t be able to obtain as a reward anymore as it was possible to try the pitfight as many times as you wanted. I could agree with the op if Liadri mini was only rewarded to ones who beat her first try, the pitfight had limited tries or if the mini was sellable. Although I do think the achievements will be exactly the same they were a year ago.

doesn’t sound a good set at all even with 2k vitality u would end up with less than 10% crit damage bonus i dont see it better than scholar for a full gc thief.

The only profession having a adventage is warrior and thats only for on-swap sigils. Warrior can trait to reduce weapon swap cooldown. Those stacking sigils will be fixed so that you cannot have an extra weapon set with for example bloodlust sigils for killing foes and get 25 stacks and then change (from inventory) to another set with more useful sigils. Weapon swapping doesn’t remove those sigil stacks. This can also be thougth so that you must have the bloodlust sigil equipped in one of your weapon sets in order to get the bonus from bloodlust stacks.

The reason there are those hp differences is that the game would probably be impossible to balance without. Yeah you might think otherwise, but giving a little thought it seriously is a big slippery slope that requires these, could say gimmicks, to hide all those design flaws that should never have existed in the first place to keep some balance between different classes.

It’s 10% less dps so calculating with having for example 60% crit chance the reduction to crit damage would be about 33%, which is quite accurate. For example one with full zerk gear (no ascended armor) would be sitting at 122% crit damage (food buff included) before feature pack and would be reduced to 81% crit damage after the update.

I feel like this is going to destroy any semi balanced power build, but we shall wait and see.

Indeed it is going to. Especially those builds relying on that crit damage boost of zerker trinkets which do have critical damage by far the highest stat in them compared to other gear. For example a ascended ring now has a 8% crit damage bonus and will be reduced to 68 ferocity after patch (equals to ~4,5% crit damage). A knights armor + zerk trinket (ascended) setup would be suffering critical damage bonus reduction of 19 percentage points and addition to that trait line and buff food will be facing a reduction of 14 percentage points (30 in critical damage line).

The achievement system is overally a huge disappointment. All achievements share around the same amount of AP as a reward no matter if it was sm defender tier 4 or monthly salvage kit use. I’d like to see these harder and more time consuming achievements give hundreds even thousands of times the points compared to those easier ones in addition to some achievements that are really hard to get for example complete dungeon in given time or in two man party. Achievements in gw2 aren’t really ‘achievements’ they’re just boring different type of grinds which doesn’t require ones effort just grind or in most cases luck.

Agreed, and the fun thing is they’re goin’ to reduce the effectiveness of zerker gear which is irrelevant as it will still be the highest dps gear anyways. ‘Spectator’-gear just is useless in these boring ‘run against clock’ -events.
