I took a screenshot of the Meteorlogicus while running and I notice that there are two trail colors – blue and purple.

With the new screenshot showing the night-version, it makes sense of why there is purple already implemented. Perhaps the night/moon version has the trail colors being switched (meaning that the purple will leave a longer trail than the blue).

Many of us bought Celestial trinkets and armor as Magic Find sets.
Other Magic Find sets are being given the option to re-roll— however, Celestial is not. And contrary to what most of us assumed, no new stats are being added (boon duration, condition duration), and they are not being buffed to make up for the lost Magic Find stat.
I imagine Anet has reasons for not just buffing Celestial to make up for the loss. However, there is no good reason we shouldn’t be able to re-roll Celestial to a different stat combination, as Celestial is a powerful Magic Find option being substantially nerfed on September 3rd.

It would be unfair to just change it for the people who spent their time to make it; they chose it for what it looked like; not for what it’s ‘going’ to look like if that is the case.
Blue is certainly a much better color than purple. If this did take place, I’m sure there will be many complaints.
Maybe it’s just the lighting in the picture, there are times when my sisters bifrost looks gold & other times it looks grey & the aurora glow looks more white & other times very vivid aurora…..

I don’t have the Meteorologicus, nor do I care about it, and in fact I love the color purple. But coincidentally I had previously pondered this exact scenario and agree with the OP, changing a legendary’s color scheme is not fair to those that have worked so hard for them.
Legendarys, by nature, are for aethetic value, and people put a lot of thought and effort into designing how their toon will look.
However, people have asked anet to improve legendary’s that lacked luster, and that puts them into a hard spot. Any improvement will change the legendary, making it more desirable for some, and less for others.
Thanks for being empathetic to a cause that doesn’t necessarily affect you personally; that is very rare.
Honestly, I expected changes to Meteorlogicus. I don’t particularly like the Star particles I see in the screenshot— but that’s fine. And really, whatever else they did, I can live with— even if I hate it.
But changing the color just isn’t something I ever imagined could happen, or I would not have sought out this particular Legendary.

Changing an item’s COLOR like this is completely unprecedented. This is not a mere effects improvement— this is a change to the fundamental aesthetics of the item.
I’m sure some people will LOVE the new purple. But other people have already obtained Meteorlogicus based on its previous appearance.
Maybe you can make Meteorlogicus special by giving us the option of putting it in the mystic forge with 3 purple dyes, and THEN we get the version that turns purple at Night. Or make that the default, and let us do something to change it back to blue.
I appreciate that your artists have worked on something that I’m sure is beautiful to many people, and there is no need to waste it. I’m totally ready to spend more gold and compromise however I have to— I just do not want purple.

Some of us made Celestial purely as a slightly-less-selfish Magic Find set.
Martin Kerstein on MF changes:

I, for one, only chose Celestial because of the Magic Find.
It was worse than Zerker, but since I mainly intended to do open-world stuff, I went with the Celestial.

Secondly, if Anet wants to provide special, awesome rewards for high-achieving PVP players, that’s awesome. But the current Legendaries have their own difficult system and there deserves to be some reward across the entire game for achieving it.
To not allow current Legendaries in SPVP is to make it a different game than the rest of Guild Wars 2.
While I don’t disagree with you on any particular point, if you think legendary weapons should be available in sPvP it stands to reason that any special awesome rewards for high-end sPvP players should also merge into PvE+WvW.

Stats, Runes, Sigils:
-Most Runes and Sigils are useless. Consider a revamp. For example, all the Runes and Sigil of Rage were never buffed after Quickness was nerfed, so they are half as good as they were designed to be. Moreover, too few options for damage increases, power, and precision force everyone to use just one Rune set or Ruby Orbs, which is just boring.

PVE Game Balance:
-Necro DPS still needs to be brought up a little bit to match the highest DPS of other classes—but some seriously excellent progress making Necro both more fun AND viable in recent patches, but there is a tiny bit of room to grow needed.
-Engineers need more viable builds for PVE.
-Some classes have blast, whirl, etc finishers on nearly every move and access to tons of fields. Other classes have very close to zero finishers and almost no fields. There is not a clear balance motive for this. Necromancer “Ghastly Claws” is the most obvious one that needs to be changed to a whirl finisher.
-An option to prioritize your own combo fields over those of other players’ would be nice.
-Ascended Celestial Jewelry is very weak compared to exotic ascended. Not sure if this is an oversight.
-Some moves, like Guardian Zealous Blade, are still (nearly) completely unaffected by Healing Power. This stat is way too weak for this to be the case.
-Condition damage still needs a buff in PVE. Highest damage conditions should always tick first, for example.

Making stats, gear, and appearance easier to manage:
-Player-wardrobe similar to PvP Locker for PVE.
-Savable dye templates.
-Ability to save multiple traits specializations and alternate between them. (Lots of simple solutions to this in the meantime… for example, ability to respect anywhere, any time on a one hour cool down)
-Ability to gear loadouts ALONG with specializations (WvW, PVE DPS, PVE Anchor, all different specs and gear).
-Armor/weapon stats and runes saved separately from the gear they are in. This will allow more frequent aesthetic recustomization.
-Holiday skins become withdrawable
-Either add weapon dying, or include a far greater number of reskins and recolors.
-When you equip a Legendary weapon, you should get an achievement chest popup that grants you the use of that skin for SPVP. This would go a long way in making SPVP feel more like a part of the same game, and encourage people with legendaries to spend more time in SPVP.
-In exchange, add some exclusive, awesome skins that can only be earned in SPVP, and that sPVP players get the option of bringing to PVE.
-Some scaling options for weapons.
UI, functionality:
-Very glad LFG is on its way.
-Range indicator.
¬-Better Guild functionality: Last seen online. Auto-queing of buffs, etc.
-Black Lion “Bonuses” like XP boosters made more convenient, available on a separate menu that is always available that they can be deposited to as collectible.(http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1ivvl0/quick_ui_suggestion_for_black_lion_clutter/)
-Able to set purchase amount from vendors.

-A bag that is accessible from any character that can be accessed (to store food, damage bonuses, etc.
-For future Black Lion Harvesting items and items of similar use, include a far more expensive option that lets you have the item for every character on your account.
-List which Borderlands players are playing on in the Guild Chat menu.
-Ability to see someone’s other character names and the class they are playing when hovering over their name in chat. Compared to other games, can be very confusing to keep track of the people you know and how you know them and who they are.
-An “Action Mode” like immersive combat mod so that players don’t need to hold down right click. I wouldn’t be playing this game if not for ICM. (http://wesslen.org/ICM/)
-To reduce mistakes, players cannot put in a buy order for a price higher than the current sell listings.
-When retrieving items from the trading post, it gives you all items of the same type at the same time, rather than giving you items in the order you received them.
-Ability to target things outside of a party.

-A “Self-cast” key. This way, you can push a button and auto-targetting will not be used on moves like Ride the Lightning, Leap, etc. No more running off ledges by accident.
Dungeons/Fractals:
-No more “party leader” function. We’re all sick of getting kicked because the host had a bad attitude or needed to leave.

This isn’t a complicated post.
I worked my puppy off for Meteorlogicus, and I want to use it 100% of the time I am playing this game and using a Scepter.
It feels like a shame to hop into SPVP and go from having the most badpuppy Scepter ever imagined by a human artist, to using some lesser skin.
I’m sure other people with Legendaries feel the same way.
It will do a lot to make SPVP feel like a different game to me, and then maybe I’d give it more of a serious chance. I know I’m being dramatic, but this is honestly a part of the reason I don’t play SPVP.
Here’s how it should work:
When you equip your Legendary for the first time, an achievement chest pops up rewarding you that skin for PVP. This gets retroactively awarded to people who have already equipped their legendary.

So I’m playing S/D Elementalist. I’m about to lay down my Fire field and stack 25 might to my party.
As I begin, a Guardian lays down a light field.
Instead of stacking 25 might as I had intended, I instead give my group… a bunch of worthless reliation.
There are multiple ways a combo-field priority system could be implemented.
1. “Prefer own fields” option. This is probably the simplest and easiest fix and would maintain a reasonable level of balance. This would cause you to proc off your own fields if there are multiple fields overlapping. In fact, this was so much better than my other ideas that I removed them.

It doesn’t matter how good your non-meta class is if you don’t use it properly. Brazil is in that 0.5% of people who doesn’t just shortbow spam like a giant leeching prick.
And I don’t really see the vast majority of players being able to dodge decently with sword. The nastiness behind that weapon autoattack pretty much makes ranger a high skill floor class to play it at the level of an average warrior player.
This is completely true.
Note that one can play the Sword builds with Greatsword for a small DPS hit, but still do decent damage compared to other options.

I will note that technically, as of right now, the difference between the highest and lowest damaging class in PVE is about 20%, without taking into account utility.
However, I think we are at the point where you can play whatever class you want as long as you make sure you have offensive boons covered, along with other details like reflects depending on the content. This is assuming everyone is running optimal builds.
My largest goal with writing something like this up is to remove some of the PVE stigma about Rangers, Engineers, Thieves, and other classes that are not considered to be as strong as something like Warriors/Guardians/Mesmers. The damage difference is nearly moot in group compositions that covers all proper boons.
For example, DNT Brazil recommends in his guide for Sword Rangers that a Sword Ranger can replace a Warrior in speedrun groups. That is some serious progress.

Worst thing is, whenever I run into a situation where I actually want to use them, I forgot to put one on X character or its in the bank, etc.
Here’s a suggestion to cut down on this.
The Bonus Menu:
Add a new, small icon to the menu at the top of the screen, to the left or right of “Hints”. “Bonus Menu” or something.
This menu contains, in an orderly fashion, every Black Lion item we currently have. XP Boosters, Magic Find Boosters, Bank Access Express, Trading post merchants, etc. They will no longer take up bank space, and can be instantly and easily accessed whenever you realize you need them, on any character.
Ideally, it would follow a UI like the collectibles tab, so you know at a glance if you have a certain item or not, since it has its own consistent location.
It would make these items actually feel like bonuses rather than clutter. It would encourage players to use them when they need it most— those armor, regen and power boosters that you forget to have in your bags, could be used when a dungeon or fractal run is going particularly roughly.
And then, the bonus for Anet: if these items feel like rewards rather than clutter, maybe more people will purchase them with cash money.

Every other stat combination in the game gets a hefty stat boost going from exotic —> celestial.
When the patch hit, threads about this were being deleted for some reason. Not sure what Anet is planning.

Exotic celestial armor has really screwed over those of us with 5 Celestial ascended accessories.
Why? The exotics are better. In order to make my character stronger, I should trash the 5 ascended items I have, get exotic celestial, and then swap to berserker trinkets.
This is beyond the normal kind of annoyance that would come with new gear coming out that is better to min/max with.
This is just unbalanced. Celestial ascended either needs a buff, or exotic Celestial needs a nerf.

Datamining shows that in the next patch, we will get to vote for Elen Kiel or Evon Gnashblade for coincil.
Kiel will give us Aetherblade, Evon will give us Molten Facility added to fractals.
Anet has previously said they wont update fractals without also looking at the rewards. =)

Right now, it gives half the bonus it used to. It costs warriors about 3-4% damage.
However, this makes the best axe build and the best greatsword build do almost exactly the same damage.

As a compromise, perhaps only allow us to make weapons* smaller* by a reasonable amount? Or allow us to increase decrease or increase by only a small percent.
Here’s what just happened to me. Not really essential to read if you agree with the idea. =)
I bought my female human warrior 2x corrupted skeggox.
I have seen a lot of people in human t3 with corrupted skeggox and it looks perfect. Sadly, I realized later, the people I’ve seen have been human males. I checked the preview a bunch, but its hard to really get a feel in the preview screen.
I bought the skeggox, equipped, and found that they are way too big for my taste. Proportionally, the axe is much larger on human females than it is on human males.
If I could simply reduce the size a bit, they’d be perfect. But I can’t. So I’m stuck with 80g spent on axes that don’t actually suit my tastes.
I’ve had this happen plenty of times with other items. In a game so focused on aesthetics, it can be pretty upsetting— in any other game, I’d feel like I was nitpicking, but aesthetics are really the endgame here.

Data-mining has shown that we are eventually going to get Aetherblade Retreat or Molten Facility added to fractals. It has also been said that they won’t add anything to fractals without overhauling rewards.

A WAY TO LEVEL OUR ALTS TO LEVEL TEN OR TWENTY:
- Some of us leveled through fractals long ago, and now have new mains, but don’t want to level through again. Allow us to buy with fractal relics or pristine fractal relics, the opportunity to start at AT LEAST level 10. Level 20 would be ideal. This will get rid of one of the barriers in the way of some of us running fractals.
ACCEPT THAT FRACTALS HAVE DIFFERENT DIFFICULTIES:
-You should really just go ahead and accept that we have all decided on the relative difficulty of fractals.
The first fractal should only spawn from the easy ones: swamp, water, Charr. This prevents us from having to reroll until we get swamp at the start of every fractal run— that isn’t fun gameplay!
Second Fractal should omit the most time consuming ones: dredge and cliffside. We should only be able to get one of these per fractal run.
Third fractal should have a chance to spawn any. This helps to ensure that runs are not wildly different in amounts of time.
Any other ideas or suggestions for Anet while we KNOW they are working on it?

Just curious, and I do not know the OP. Do you possibly know how to read?
He/She had a good point. The Ranger’s LB has been buffed to where it is now “supposed to be used” even though it is still laughable comparably. Can’t use it because if you are within range of the buffs you’re nerfing your damage output.
So I guess what you meant to say is,
“The longbow shouldn’t be in the game.”

The longbow’s damage is still inferior to shortbow damage in most circumstances.
A ranger using a longbow in a dungeon is agood indication you need to kick him, just as much as using a subpar DPS pet like bear or ranged pets instead of drake is another reason for kicking the ranger.
Longbow rangers usually have a SWORD, the highest DPS weapon, as their offhand, because longbow doesnt deal condition damage and synergizes better with sword.
In ideal circumstances, Longbow does great damage considering its low risk play style. A longbow ranger who swaps to sword/warhorn and only uses longbow in ideal circumstances is just fine compared to what rangers are capable of. Still weak compared to other classes.
