Im just severely confused at how to play this class. everyones tossing around terms i dont even know and theres a million different setups. I just want something that works in PvE and WvW without needing to switch everything out just to do it.

Im mostly looking for something to bookmark and use when i hit 80. there are barely any to no WvW builds here i can find, so if you have one please post it. WvW roaming solo is all i want to do.

Might gives power, but stacking those runes instead of actuall dps runes or orbs is a dps loss, especially when your party is stacking might for you.

Ive been in groups lately with this necro build and while everyone has 5-10 might i’m sitting there life blasting and hitting all attacks with 25 stacks constantly.

Full zerker 2 rune of fire/2 hoelbrak/ 2 strength in them
Zerker trinkets
Zerker Axe/Focus Dagger/Warhorn
30/0/10/0/30
spite- VI, VIII, XII
Death magic- V
Soul Reaping – VI, VIII, XII
Consume conditions, Well of suffering, Blood is power, anything you want (Signet of spite or Well of corruption is great), Lich form
Battle- blood is power into focus 4 into axe 2. Switch into DS and spam Life blast until you’re out of DS, Repeat as needed. Its easy to do and will stack might forever.

Zerker with 23-24,000 health? Most of that has to be Valk

20/30/20/0/0 Terror + Greater marks for WvW, i feel like the power isnt needed and could be somewhere else but i dont know where to put it, BM?
30/30/10/0/0 or 30/30/0/10/0 for PvE And WvW Dhummfire build
Both of those are S/D and Staff full rabid undead runes

and then 30/0/10/0/30 full zerk powermancer. Suprisingly tanky and good in dungeons. I would not suggest this for World vs World unless you’ll switch your d/wh for a staff… Just no.

The problem is not everyone has ~100 to buy a new motherboard for a single game crashing.

So its official ALS (Anvils last stand) has disbanded. 2nd biggest WvW guild i think. Zero (another big wvw guild) has also moved.

Ar is absolutely kittened. We would appreciate it if you’d take it easy on us as we have just lost MORE of our pop. and by more i mean we are down to about 50 WvW players total.

This is a sad day for this server. We are crumbling. But HoD and DR will most likely continue to absolutely destroy us with numbers 10x our size. I dont expect you to take it easy but anyways have fun.

This is exactly how my necro looks. The only thing I switch around is Corrosive Poison Cloud as utility (and epidemic for single target bosses) and the traits X in spite and V in Death magic. I also switch VII in curses for I when I do wvw cause I like to take less falling dmg there.

I use this build for regular pve, wvw and have used it in fractals up to 48, works like a charm. Only need to upgrade my backitem now and I’m ready for anything :P

Hmm.. If you’re in PvE it doesnt make sense because a boss with be under 50% health for a long time.

It would fit with the recent change to Corrupt as well, in that it now takes two skills to remove (up to) 8 boons, with the trade off being that we get (ideally) 3 of those boons kicked back to us.

Fighting an ele with boon corruption and Well of corruption? Its like fighting a peice of paper at that point. they cant “not” put boons on themselves. Easy fight

I just realized that necros have almost no boons to apply.

We should be able to boon-steal the bosses defiance stacks and the Veteran camp supervisors invuln. Mmmmm

Lets get to it, the gear is Rabid all around except for some rampager stuff thrown in there (for now) but mainly all rabid with runes of the undead.Traits go 0/30/10/30/0.
Curses- II, IV, XI.
Death magic- IV
Blood magic- II, V, XII

It this.. effective? I dont (siphon) heal for much and i feel like i could somehow be more useful. I dont have the money to switch out my gear for anything else, but what could i do to be a more effective conditionmancer?

From my personal experience conditions is my favorite build as a Necro. So if you love your necro so far, it will only get better bud.

I dont know why but I’ve been LOVING necro. I’ve been using 30/0/10/0/30 and oh my god, you can survive entire dungeons even as a full glass cannon. Do 5k life blast, and 15 k axe 2 with 25 stacks of might the whole dungeon.

you treb our walls down at durios and have over 15 people zerg it 3 times and lose. you then trebbed for 10 minutes after that and never came back. You have 4 trebs facing AR all the time, use them. Seige up and zerg every tower please, before we attempt to have fun

This was really fun. For once AR did pretty good. It is weird that we took this castle with no resistance then suddenly a huge zerg pops up to take it back

I don’t normally bother posting about my encounters on the forum, but I found this one rather entertaining, and unfortunately for me I (as always) forgot to record.

I got off work and logged into GW with 15 minutes before the daily reset, and I only had 1/5 done. I quickly tried to rush the remaining ones as fast as I could, and with 5 minutes left, all I had to do was kill 2 yaks. So, I switched to SFBL, and noticed that two yaks were sitting inside south camp. It was owned by ET, and SF had the towers, so they were stationary at the camp. I decided to run into the camp head first & took out the dolyaks with 3 minutes left to spare. I had, in turn, however, aggro’d the entire camp, I was low on health, and had already used my supply crate to help quicken the yak kills.

At around 20% HP with 4-5 NPC’s on me, an SF thief & warrior decided to walk in on me. I expected to die instantly but I managed to get away from them a bit. The warrior was an uplevel, and I quickly downed & stomped him. Kited the thief a little bit more and got to around 40% health, then he started trying to burst me down again. Once more, I expected to die almost instantly, but to my surprise the thief’s hp bar withered away and I kept mine safe with my shield block & elixir S. Ended up stomping him with 2k hp left. He wasn’t an uplevel and stayed in stealth most of the time, so I can’t assume he was that new of a player.

And so, yes, thief, jumping on your body was necessary, since you failed to 2v1 me with 4-5 NPC’s attacking me at 20% HP.

Most thieves craft to 80 so he could have been new to thief easily. Also, Engi is considered OP universally (except for people who play them) anyways

sorry to hear you guys having so many population and morale problems. ET was there and is just coming out of these problems. If you look back at our history and such, you’ll see that we had an even bigger fall: all the way from tier 1 (and yes, it was cause of free transfers). We got to the point where we’d have 20 people pop out of WvW at reset. And that’s across all borderlands. We’ve been there, we feel your pain. Just learn to stop caring about ppt and only about having fun and you’ll do great . Besides, that’s what it’s all about anyways right? It’s just a game, it’s there for fun.

On another note, I’ve been very disappointed at the skill level of people I’ve seen. We had a 3 way in ET borderlands between 20ish SF, 20ish AR, and 7 ET, and the 7 ET won… without anyone dying. Then, we found 2 heartseeker spammers (which I haven’t seen in a looong time. Come on people, this is like 8 months outdated) trying to kill us by sending one down while the other sat on a canon. Needless to say, we had fun farming loot bags for a few minutes. Then there were the 1v3’s, which turned into 1v20’s as soon as the 3 started loosing. If the 3 didn’t have 20 to run to, it was always a tower. Then we had the 3v4+camp+quaggans, where the 3 won. I could go on, but in general I was very disappointed tonight. Let’s bring some better competition besides numbers before I leave on Thursday, k
