also why not 2v2v2v2 or 3v3v3 ect like Halo and other games with multiple small teams
some new maps and game types obviously to support ^^^^
after the first 3 months of this game i was higher rank then my main charcter (a ranger) was lvled lol rank 34 or somethin lvl 30 haha.. i got bored i now sit at rank 42 and do gvg, zerg diving, and roaming instead
about to give up on that because i dont want to farm gold to get better gear. just want to kill

Just let dodge roll get you through people, get though knocked down people, and people who are in down state.
Maybe even be able to go through your allies but not enemies?? hmm
Any other game I have played condition specs were considered dps and you have to sacrifice survivalbility for conditions to hit hard.
At least give them a paired stat that they have to work with like crit chance or something for them to be effective. Power has to be paired with crit chance and crit damage but condi just has condi.
I hate the down state but even with that being said I think the logical thing to do would be to start off small.
1st step would be to put a cooldown on rally of 30 seconds and see how that changes the game.
Or if you get down for a second time/ third time within 2 minutes you just die and have to wp or be manually ressed.
Idk but when I tried shattered aegis it hit for almost 1k!
I thought it was reasonable and when you think that you can give 5 people aegis from 1 guardian then..
1000 X # of people who have your aegis on them X number of enemies it hits
It could be a max AoE group burst of 25k if 5 people jumped on 5 other people who all had shattered aegis on them
but maybe that is just my aegis .. I run full zerker so not sure if that makes a difference
I’m not sure how it would do in tourneys to be honest. I haven’t used it in them or done them in a long time. I used to do them on my bunker ranger before it was popular but pretty much all I do is WvW roaming anymore. <— I can tell you this build rocks for that and for having fun XD
Its just a high risk high reward build and that’s why I like it!

Im playing full zerker for the lolz.. and I really find it quite fun!
I put on food buffs but other then that i dont care about which orbs people have or ascended gear. I also try to get my 25 stacks up off of players to see how easy i can do it (if my character has a 25 stack buff lol – most of them dont)
Wanna give mad props to OP.. i remember him from when i was on NA servers.. i only pvp’ed back then for the first 3 or 4 months and stopped at r40.. anyways <3 he was the first d/d ele i ever saw

Anyone who’s played a Thief to a reasonably high level should know all of this already, it just irk’s me (as a Thief) that people still complain to the forums every time a Thief 1v1’s them.
“Thieves are OP, Stealth is OP, Backstab is OP!” These people fail to realise that the Thief nerfs that have come since launch have made the class almost useless in every OTHER aspect of the game. In WuvWuv group battles, unless you’re spec’d for Venom Share you don’t really have alot to offer, other than Group Stealth, Blind Fields & Blast finishers on the SB. (Now with nerf’d range)
However, I would have thought Thieves would be up there for exploration at least. So many cool (albeit Buggy) Shadowsteps to take advantage of, and just the general manoeuvrability of the class makes it seem ideal?
Even with the group stealth aspect, a mesmer can do much better with veil. It only takes one veil to stealth the entire zerg. I agree though on the exploration. Signet of shadows and shortbow allow you to travel faster than any other class if you know the mechanics of the teleports well.
wrong. bow is slower than heartseekr. learn theif b4 u make claims like that. many / most classes have a forum of perma swift other than thief/necro……thief has 25% on his signet which is obv less than 33% so wrong again. :P fail man fail
just wanted to let you know i have PERMA swiftness with runes of centaur and swiftness on dodge roll.. dont even need the regain endurance after dodge roll trait or gain swiftness with steal.. when i had those as well i always was running around with a minute of swiftness
My personal problem with this weapon set is the blinds. I dont care about stealth, running away, or backstabs —> (I can take 2 of a thieves best backstabs in a row on my thief befor having to heal). But BP aoe blind, BP shooting out a ranged blind, #3 gap closer with blind, heartseeker (if traited) creates blind. THATS TO MUCH blind.
It makes it really hard for a melee class to counter.. i run sword thief for example and i literally cannot hit a d/p thief.. not because they are good lol but because they are blinding me without even realising it most of the time.. i now have to run d/p as secondary just to kill them I hate the cheezy weapon set
they get rewarded for wearing beserker gear and spamming blinds .. its sad..
and this new change to blinds only makes it worse
FOR A START to bring this weapon set inline.. get rid of the BP blinding shot.. for a start!

OP… I dont know about you or how you do things but I already have good timing, make correct positional changes, and am aware of my surroundings! Thief isnt any harder to play because i already do those things… in every character, every class, every GAME I play!!

I dunno, I wreck S/D thieves on my D/P, just stand in the Black Powder field and go ham on them with auto, then stealth when its about to end, they will barely hit you lol.
but I DO suck!!!!! thats why i need easy mode dagger/pistol.. i never miss my stealth now and i never get hit (blinds for EVERYONE “enjoy ppl”).. it makes me so good.. i even get invited to go roaming now which ppl never used to do because i always died.
Your video is good! But i killed 2 guardians and a thief yesterday on my thief.. now you could argue that they.. were bad lol but i would say the same of those thieves!

I think i would have to keep a little closer eye on my ini.. or get “gain initiative faster in stealth” (which i never use and still perma stealth fine..) or get “2 initiative every 10 seconds trait” and i will be back where i was
I tryed many variations of this build and it worked pretty well. Originally played it in PvP, mostly soldiers gear while trying to squeeze in as much precision as i could through rampagers jewel.. anyway i 1v4’ed the MISTS npcs; ranger, guardian, thief and necro lol
general idea is keep using mantra of pain (main source of damage that stacks with staff auto attack very well) and healing mantra to get small 2500 heals (the runes help out significantly with the long cast on the healing mantra)
you can use mantras and use staff teleport (this makes the cast time acceptable)
I used a stealth trap on some cheap d/p Viz thief yesterday LOL funniest in game moment ever. He kept using black powder and heart seeking throught for a full 20 seconds.. LMAO he ran around like a chicken without a head just mashin buttons trying to go stealth (thats when you know your garbage)! I cant wait to get home and buy some more to use tonight!

immobilize thief trap ( start casting it than steal to your opponent)
knockdown thief trap (start casting it then use infiltrators signet)
after each of these im sure you know enough to move behind them and unload your dps
