I haven’t used Healing Signet after the patch, but before it was the second worst heal skill (my opinion). Healing Surge is much more efficient for me, and you can trait for regen.
Go to the Master Weaponsmith, and switch to the inscriptions tab. Scroll to the bottom and buy some inscriptions for a small amount of Karma. But this should take you to 450. Then brace yourself for high prices.
I’m personally hoping an update will accidentally include giving a coin value to bloodstone (preferably in the vicinity of 2s each), allowing them to be sold to merchants at 5g / stack.
This would include nerfing the drop infinitely. People have already saved up stacks upon stacks. If they did this, the people with loads of stacks would know that the price will eventually rise as everyone sells theirs. This would cause some people to become incredibly rich.
Think about what would happen.
I have started a 2 alts recently, one which I love and one which I regret. I have played a Warrior for a few months, and so need help deciding on what to play. The two alts I made were: a Elementalist which I love, and a Engineer which I am going to delete. I don’t like Engineer, because I just find it kind of boring.
So anyways, I have narrowed down the pickings to two different classes. A Necromancer or a Ranger. I plan to play as a Human after seeing their armour skins. But I want some info on both classes, but I do not want the usual comments of ‘Go to HoM’. I don’t have the time and would just rather play.
*I usually play solo
*I am used to dodging attacks so squishiness isn’t an issue
*If I go Ranger, I would like to be double bearbow (for personal reasons)
*Necro would probably be a tanky minionmancer (if there is such a thing)
I would just like some good-natured insides into both classes and some guidance into what would be the best class for me.
Eh, in my experience, I have better runs with PUGs then guildies. So suck that logic.
But never had a really good PUG run.
If you really have too many of them, just delete a few stacks. If you are working towards an ascended weapon, work out how much you need to save on Obsidian Shards. They are the bane of all existence since the recent Karma patch.
I am a relatively new player, been playing for about 3 months. My biggest piece of advice for your first time is stick to one character. It is so much better, you can get to grips with the game and learn the mechanics of both your character and the world around you. After I reached 80 on my Warrior, I stayed playing him for another month before even starting an alt.
If you want a few levels quickly, I suggest starting up crafting or more specifically, cooking. Cooking is the cheapest and fastest craft to level, but seeing your characters I would also recommend looking at Weaponsmithing. Warrior uses Sword, Axe, Greatsword, Spear, Shield and Mace which all can be made in Weaponsmithing. Also, unless you use the dreaded ‘double bearbow’ you will also benefit from it on your Ranger.
If you are having problems soloing zones on your Warrior, I think something is wrong. But as an all-round tip, if you are struggling to survive in zones, increase your characters Vitality/Toughness. This means by looking for gear with these stats, or putting a few trait points in either slots (Warrior is Tactics and Defence).
Very unusual way of levelling, but it sounds kind of tiring/boring. I just looked for recipes that required lots of ingredients that could be cheaply bought and cooked 100 of these. Takes you up 50 levels.
Now what to do with 100 loaves of bread…..

I am trying to buy some Gems from the Black Lion Company, but everytime I click ‘Buy Gems’ it comes up with a little blank pop-up. I have left this for 5 minutes and still nothing happens. So, is there another way I could get some Gems? Or am I stuck with this?
Sorry, I don’t get this WvW comment. The WvW pool of servers is only from your region, so for NA servers they will only play against NA servers. So Tarnished Coast will never see Piken Square in a WvW battle.
My question is, if I discover a weapon made with t2 materials compared to a weapon made with t5 materials, do they give equal experience ?

Also keep in mind that nearly every single t2 mat is more expensive than its t5 counterpart.
I just used t2 as an example, but the real question was if it could be done with all tiers of materials.
Another way to explain RNG is:
Remember how some kids just randomly hit the keys pretending they are hackers or computer-genius? That is what some guy does to determine the list of numbers the loot tables will follow (loot tables explained above). An example of the list could be 315313313413413 with 3 being ‘Brittle Bones’ and 5 being a rare. That was just a very simple explanation, but it is following that principle.
No, when all crafts can go to 500 then yes, but until then all crafts give 7 levels from 1-400 and the 3 weapon crafts also do 3 levels from 400-500.

Off the top of my head, I think don’t require Vial of Mist Essence which is obtainable only through Fractals. Two of the 3 need a Prototype Fractal Capacitor, probably from Fractals. The last one needs a Sclerite Karka Shell, which is no longer available since Secrets of Southsun. So, the answer to your question is no.
All crafting professions give 7 levels if taken to 400. Weapnsmith, Artificer and Huntsman go to 500, and the 400-500 yield another 3 levels but is ridiculously expensive. Chef is probably the cheapest craft to level at the moment, but uses unique ingredients. But again if this is your first time playing, level normally. It is much better in the long run.

This works for every weapon/armour in the game. As long as you can transmute it, it will work.
Buying exotic zerk gear is a waste if you’re just starting. Just do CoF in rares until you get that armor. Keep doing dalies/guild missions until you have the laurels/commendations for ascended trinkets and skip exotic jewelry altogether.
Buying exotic or even rares isn’t actually completely necessary at higher levels. You can run in blues and greens and nobody will know the difference. Slowly buy exotics and ascended, but don’t rush to do it.

I reached level 80 a while back, and am mainly focusing on PVE content, but haven’t really found a build I like. I recently tried to find a GS axe/axe build, but I hate axe. I don’t want to find the most effective weapons and a build for them. I want to find a GS longbow build. These are the weapons I feel most comfortable with, so if anyone knows a build for them it would be greatly appreciated.
I have had trouble with the Spider Queen before, but usually it is one group that fails and not 6. One thing I found is the classes, having 1 or no heavy armour classes will usually mean a fail. Also bring lots of group condition removals i.e Shake It Off. She deals a few bleeds quite regularly and that deals a lot of damage if not dealt with. Also bring a fear skill. Big mobs such as Spider Queen and others from AC do not run from fear but are still paralysed so that can help. Otherwise get a few conditions on her and DPS it back to where it came from.
A lot of people post because they have hit a wall and are looking for a way over. My class was decided for me after a friend say “play this”. That is kind of like what some people hope to gain from their post. Other people post because they are new and just want to play rather then spend a while finding a class. Don’t dismiss these posts too quickly.

Start the dungeon yourself, simple fix.
Farming gold is all dependant on time. If you have only about an hour or so, run dungeons. If you have all day, run dungeons then farm in Frostgorge/Queensdale. ALso, do world events whenever you can, as they will always have a rare/exotic.
If you want a fast class, go naked, zerker Thief. But really, I’d say all classes but maybe Ranger are in your definition fast, dependant on the build. But with Elementalist and Mesmer, each skill must be used at the right moment or you can take a lot of damage. With those two its all about timing. Thief is a class where I have no experience in, and can’t help much. The only thing I do know is that it is the second fastest class in the game.
Place Guild Buff Banners in places around champ farms (Queensdale, Frostgorge), and then say in map chat something along the lines of guild banners at [where-ever] curtesy of [Guild Name].
This attracts a lot of people as you are giving them a boost to their farming.
Claw, for my server, isn’t a push-over. We come really close to failing. But others like Maw and especially SB are a piece of cake. Maw just got a health buff, but is so easy you can AFK autoattack, and still win. Some need buffs, but most are good.
Frostfang needs a trail, spinning whirl of ice would look epic
Most low-level areas have the occasional player (bar Queensdale), while middle-level zones usually are deserted. End-game areas will always have people.
This is based off my world (NA Eredon Terrace) and others I have guested too. Maybe some high population server like Blackgate will have more. Also do not join a WvW based server, go for PvE as that is what it seems like you prefer

Rare gear is good to get but not necessary. I like to run dungeons, and I once run with a guy in full exotic AC gear. I outlasted him, me being warrior him being guardian (I’m not a straight-tank, and he wasn’t a beserker). I was running in blues and greens with 1 exotic. Having rare/exotic gear won’t change much.
Mesmer is probably the better killer, unless you want your kills done through conditions
I am looking for a GS/Dual Axe build. I have looked through the forum, but can’t find anything I like. I am not a good build creator, so I need some help finding a good build. If anyone can help can you please advise me as what I could use. Thank you in advance.

This has probably been suggested, but here goes. I have seen Frostfang and the effects are good for me, and recently I started using axes on my Warrior. The 5 skill with dual axes is pretty cool, and has great potential.
Some Legendaries, as you may already know, have trails behind the weapon. If Frostfang had a trail many skills would be awesome. The fifth skill on dual axes for Warrior would look so cool with rings of white surrounding you. Also some of the Ranger axe skills involve throwing a axe which spins (correct me if I’m wrong). The axe flying through the air would be turned into a disc of white flying towards the target.
Just run AC with the gear you have. If you run path 1 and 3 everyday, after 2-3 days you will be able to afford a new piece of the gear. If you plan on making a Legendary at some point, do not use karma on armour. But with 62g you can probably buy at least half a set of PVT armour.
At your level I would not even be looking at future builds. You have over 50 hours of levelling left before you reach level 80. Just stop thinking about what you can do and enjoy the levelling experience. At level 70 you can start to work towards a build, but going full zerker is not the way to go. I recommend a hybrid build, the one I use is a mix of Soldier’s and Beserker’s gear. This fits my play-style, just find one that fits yours.
This is just going to be a new ‘Eternity’. A Legendary above other Legendaries.
1-400 now gives 7 levels, and there being 8 crafting professions. 7×8=56 levels.
80 minus 56 is 24.
Get to 24 then use crafting.
As stated above, no class is either over/under played enough to make a difference. If you want to stand out create a odd mix. I run a Asuran Warrior, and in all my playing time, I have 1 or 2 other Asuran Warriors on my server. You could run a Charr Necromancer or a Sylvari Engineer using a flamethrower. Many weird and wonderful creations exist, its up to you to find them.
Personally I don’t know why you would want to show the hair, but each to their own.
Check this website out http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?weight=3&race=0&color=10&sex=0 it shows all the armour types on a model character. Just quickly scanning through I think maybe Tier 1 or Tier 2 cultural armour will show the hair (haven’t tested in game).
Overall rangers are disliked in most dungeons/fractals.
The most wanted in a list goes:
1. Warrior
2. Mesmer
3. Elementalist/Guardian
4. Thief/Engineer
5. Ranger
6. Necromancer
Unless you like WvW I suggest either starting an alt or start over.
Warrior may come on as a bit repetetive and overrated/overplayed. Many people take a look at a Warrior and say ‘nah’, but that is because Warrior is an easy class to play, yet is hard to master. There is also a lot of different ways to play. One of my friends found a build that gives 41,000 base health. This is more health than a Guardian can ever have. Also full zerker can dish out over 15,000 in one move (its 100 blades I know). As stated before, Warrior fits all criteria., and everyone wants it in a dungeon. Necromancer, although I think are as good in dungeons, are not wanted in many dungeon groups. Think about how you will play, and that shall help determine what class you pick.
PvE – Warrior stands tall
WvW – I have seen Necromancers be much more effective than Warriors

Thoroughly enjoying this game… I’ve been playing for about 3 days now and I’m completely addicted. I did a ton of exploring right from the get-go because it’s one of my favorite elements to any MMO/RPG/MMORPG, and when I realized the “World completion” bar I almost shxt my pants. I’ve 100% completed 5 or 6 zones now and I’m only at 14% of the world discovered O___o. The size of this game is absolutely insane and I love it.
Just this shows how fast you will level. Personally, I didn’t completely finish a map until after about a month of playing. Don’t worry about the speed of levelling, at this rate you will be level 80 within two weeks. Just do what you love.
Warrior fits all criteria.
You have missed two professions, Ranger and Engineer. Having played neither of these nor Thief. I can only give you limited advice. But based on the armor these classes wear, in most circumstances, Warrior and Guard will surpass them. Damage wise, Thief has quite good burst damage, while Necromancer gets most of it’s damage from conditions. If you want to see the class at level 80, head to Heart of the Mists, you can fully customize your traits and skills.
Recently I bought two exotics with AC dungeon tokens (a mace and a focus). Upon realising that I needed two more exotics for the Mystic Forge, I salvaged them. In return I got two Soldier’s Imbued Orichalcum Inscriptions (4 gold on TP). Not sure what the chances are, but proof that you can get them (and I am really lucky)
