I thought that I was an achiever above all else, but this doesn’t seem to think so.

Other weapons come with other effects, like Foefire’s Essence and Volcanus have trails. But only legendaries have footsteps

So I’m fairly new to elementalist, but I know how they work and all about attunement swapping. I’m still leveling my ele but would like to run a fair amount a dungeon on him when he reaches 80. I already have a warrior and a necro at 80, so this is quite a step down in the health and armor.

After reading a few guides, this seems to be the build that I will run. The plan is too start with green knights and run dungeons until I have a full set of gear from the tokens only. So I would slowly be adding in berserker pieces.

Again I’m new to eles so if anyone with more expertise can adjust this build I would appreciate it

For the unique materials (blood, totems, scales etc.) you can get between 5-12. I have yet to try it with cloth or metal

The ideas you posted are good, but they all stem from WvW being a secondary gamemode, because that was how it was created. Sure it has been moved up but it still isnt gaining the same popularity as PvE.

Also, WvW has very little income. How much actual money is made through WvW specific things? We have finishers, and thats not even unique to the gamemode.

I’m not trying to be counter-productive, but these things are what are holding us back as WvWers.

Bacon comes from pigs, of which there are two ‘types’ of pigs in this game. You have the ambient mob, and the juvenile pig. Boars are related to pigs, but don’t have the right amount of fat on them to by used in bacon.

Also, anti-American? What about Anti-Australian, no kangaroo or crocodile meat.

Kind of the same problem, instead of what other people get, the launcher just cant download anything.

Does anyone have a fix? I really want to get back into the game!

Im getting this screen popping up as I try to update my game. I’ve tried restarting and rebooting my router, but nothing has worked. I know my internet connection is working, but what can I do to fix this.

First time making a necro build, but the build is meant to take conditions from allies and use the high vitality to go through them.

Forgot to add the signet that draws conditions from allies

Any advice would be welcome.

Guild calendar has changed, we now have a Game night. Games are suggested on the guild website and may be used on Thursday nights.

We are one of the main WvW centred guilds on Eredon Terrace (subject to debate), although we do ‘dip our toes’ into other aspects of the game. The guild was formed back on Fort Aspenwood, but transferred to Eredon Terrace late last year. Since then it has grown into a medium sized guild, out to take down the larger servers. With the recent WvW season, we have lost a lot of the main guilds, and we plan to fill that hole.

As a guild, we have a casual look at the game. We don’t require you to be on every second, let alone every day. All we require is that if you are on during WvW reset, that you join us for the first few hours on your level 80s. Other than that, we are a casual guild.

We have a variety of scheduled events during the week, with WvW reset being our main focus point*. From guild missions to mass leveling we have it all planned. Ontop of that is the spontaneous events. Turning a roamer into a small zerg taking a keep. Anything can and will happen.

I currently run on an iMac that doesn’t meet the system requirements. Recently I have needed to get a new Macbook Air for school. I checked through and see that this meets the system requirements.

I spent a week redownloading the game (feature patch and broadband limit got in the way) and the first time I opened the game up, I heard a loud whirring noise. After researching this, I found that it was the fan, and after installing an app to check the temperature of the computer I found that it heats up to 90-100 degrees celsius. I really would like to move to my new laptop, but how can I reduce the temperature of the actual computer.

Eredon Terrace is another option. Although we’re bottom tier we still get into some good fights. We have queues only on reset, and the queues are roughly 5 people long. We teach new players what to do and how to do it. Different guilds may even run over and improve your build. We have the best night crew of all the tier 8 servers. Whenever your on, we’ll be fighting.

This is about right. But use ruby orbs instead of scholar runes if you are low on cash.

1. It was probably 3 months after I got 80 that i actually had collectively saved up 100g. Never have I actually had 100g at once. I always spend it on something before that point.

2. I spent 95 gold in a day, thats my highest on record. That was about a month of saving, before I needed some more progression on what I was doing.

3. 94 copper. Had to beg so I could waypoint.

4. Whatever I sell, I make back double that in dungeons and the like. But roughly 5 gold a month is lost on TP fees and vendor stuff.

For charged cores and lodestones, it’s much faster to just farm the gold, buy cores and upgrade. Haven’t heard much in the way of getting lots from CoE, but from what I’ve heard it is 1 core per 1-2 runs. I still have to test that out, but there is a little for you to go off. But with buying cores, I think the current price of them is about 15 gold for 20 cores. Add in the 2.5 gold for 10 Bottles of Elonian Wine, the price of 10 Ectos and the skill points. It should be cheaper then buying the Lodestones direct.

This artwork was released May 7 2012. I for one am wondering, why isn’t this included in the game? This is apparently an Undead Globster Boss.

Crystal Guardian is a named exotic with Celestial stats. Stardust is it’s shortbow counter-part. Is there a named exotic longbow with Celestial stats?

Having people join a party that clearly states ‘experienced’, and then having them announce “this is my first run, what do i do?”. This will always happen, but it still annoys me to no ends.

I finished these two maps recently, and they were annoying. Balthazar’s wasn’t up for a while, so I just helped with an Attacking server. Keep at it, and you will one day make it.

I am going to craft the exotic great sword, Foefire’s Essence. It is one of three exotic great swords with a trail. The others being Volcanus and Heart of the Mists. But the stats are not so favourable to me. I think they are Magi or something, but I use Assassin’s gear. If I transmute the weapon onto another great sword just in the interest of stats, will it keep the effects?

I’ve heard that the cap is 110%. So I am confused

If they do it at the right time and have asked at the start if they can, then I don’t care. If they do it when half the party is down then yes, I resent them. Its a matter of timing.

I was in the same position as you a while back, new player just reached 80. You don’t really have to gear up to full exotics straight away unless you run high level dungeons such as Arah. Just run with what you find and slowly gear up to exotics.

You don’t have to complete story mode before you run explorable mode if someone else has explorable mode unlocked. But if you want to make your own groups then it is necessary.

Start off running the easier dungeons, AC, COF, SE and others. These will help you learn a few of the dungeon mechanics and just get better.

I would suggest just playing what you want. You will gradually start earning gold and should have a small pile to start with at 80.

Mesmer. Ranger is thought down on, and a bad ranger (yes they exist) sucks.

An Ascended backpiece. They are forged feom the mystic forge and all require a Vial of Mist Essence or another thing.

Guardian does seem to fit the criteria quite well, but anything can fit if forced. Choosing the Dignity option (crown) will create a righteous/just character if you choose that through the game. Race is just for storyline, but if you really need a race that fits, Sylvari. They are looking for peace throughout the world. They come from a tree and so have no enemies apart from Risen and Nightmare Court. Both of which are attacking the Sylvari.

I play it on a Mac (heard somewhere they are similar) and I get horrible FPS the entire time. Around 14 average.

It is because they are new to the game probably. If you are fotm leveling, I would adivse you to use use fotm 20+, even if your char hasn’t reach that high yet. Assuming you have at least some AR.

I am trying to get a Vial of Condensed Mist Essence and I heard that they drop best at Fractal 2. So I am running around that level. Also, they started the instance so they have some idea of what to expect.

This is a problem I have encountered a few times, but today really pushed me over the edge. People with low level toons join Fractals. Yes these are usually easier Fractals, but it still is annoying. I am fine with a level 71 guy joining, he knows the class and has most of his trait points assigned. But, I kid you not, I joined a Fractal with 3 under 80s. One guy was 70 so I didn’t care that much, but the other 2 guys were just ridiculous. A level 22 and a level 7. Both had less then 500 AP, and were an Elementalist. We rolled the Uncatagorized Fractal, which in my experience is really easy. We wiped 30 seconds into the first champ battle.

Why do these people join? They must know the level restriction by the time they know about dungeons.

Most of our server plays late at night for American’s. If you are outside of America, you can easily muster a force to take one of our keeps. That is pretty much all I can tell you. Hope you make it.

Try Elementalist. It is the class most similar to Engineer.

There is always more than one like-minded person. Whether it be an alternate copy of you, or another player like me. There will always be people that think the same.

Frostfang needs a trail, spinning whirl of ice would look epic

Not sure if you’re referring to a player aura or weapon trail. Perhaps on other professions it may only have a short trail when swung, but on Rangers, each of the #1-3 MH and #4 OH skills are projectile-based; all leave long, swirling ice trails along with a unique sound effect akin to freezing breath. (Skill #2 shoots a fan of 5 blades with trails as well). It’s pretty noticeable even in wvw zergs, IMO.

Sorry if I came across unclear, I meant weapon trail. Haven’t seen Frostfang on a Ranger yet, but Warrior I know has no trail. Why is it bound to one profession? Warrior’s 5 OH could do with the effect.
