I should add, I can link anything weapons, my genesis, food, outside of WvW…but when I get in and link it I crash the whole guild…

It only crashes all of us when I do it.

So lately, it seems that my guild [TG] Has been crashing en mass at times, like 20+ of us sometimes. My RAM? Nope, surely not all of us have the same issue.

But just now as I entered WvW I tried to link my Genesis in /g and suddenly, CRASH

EAT was a fun thing we did when the server wasn’t in dire need of more guilds/havoc squads. I think its safe to say that our days of fighting against blobs is over and we can return to our 10-25 man raids instead of forming EAT.

•Fixed a bug that prevented the new fern dreadlock hairstyle from being rendered correctly.

I love my perplexity P/P hybrid build, I take advantage of all my stealth skills and traits so I have a fair amount of it, sport 1k condi damage, and have enough direct damage to apply pressure with unloads etc.

Very fun to use I actually enjoy my thief now.

This is pretty late, but I enjoyed fighting Ark on reset. At least until our group decided to go full kitten, and became more concerned with Trees that look like Robin Williams than fighting.

I think my personal favorite was outside NW camp, that was fun times. Very heated, looked kitten near even forever.

On another note, yes DB kinda imploded over the course of a week and whats left over is pretty much TB, TG, EA, Crit, and GOTL.

@renmei, I guess that’s cool, too bad you didn’t kill EAT’s rezzing squad lol. Only a few of us even died out of the handful of us in garrison. But our pugs did randomly throw themselves into the fray so I suppose it could be considered fun. But not as fun as rezz’n the lord 20+ times lol.

This new buff is hilarious.. like honestly who ever thought this was a good idea is crazy.

At first I thought a +150 would not be so bad but oh my goodness its too much. Our opposing server has had the full buff majority of the day so far.

The terrain is kind of cool I suppose, but it seems too little too late.

Which brings me to another point WHY DO WE NEED TO THE STAT BUFF

Getting points for my server on stomp is reason enough to want to fight over the buff we did not need the stats.

Don’t even get me started on the Flame Ram glitch..

The video that shall not be named opened my eyes. Anet you have an amazing game right in your hands, epic scale fights and a fairly decent combat system. But you are treating it like crap sorry to break it to you. Guess what… your Esport with spvp is not going to happen. But potentially you could get more competition out of WvW by supporting GvG. My guild does not GvG very often but it is incredibly fun. You would have a better chance making that an esport but you refuse to recognize it. Most people love it!

But now you stomped that into the ground…

No leagues is not going to make WvW competitive as everyone stockpiles into the top 5 servers. My server is soon going to be dead. We were known for our huge SEA presence, and after this week there will be no sea left as they leave for T1.

Its just.. I don’t even know about the way this game is going anymore..

And another thing.. today when I was taking a point I brought up the stat buff after someone on my server said that was a tough fight against X player. I told him about the buffs to which he replied. “Really?!, I didn’t know that that’s kittening gay.” We all agree man Q_Q

Ok, last thing I’m going to say on this because you don’t seem to get it. TG was running and saw that there were orange swords close to where their group was. The orange sword turn out to be us (qT + NS under the tag NAME, which was already proven to have less than 40 people) fighting Agg + Ark (I think there were some Ark) . So TG decided they wnted to go fight because its WvW, not an official GvG and came in. That does not mean the groups are running together. If You don’t get it past that then you are kittened and I feel sorry for you.

TG was running max 17 tonight.

Which on the bridge was closer to like 12 lol.

And he is right we saw that there was a fight, looked pretty grim, so we decided to honor our server mates in combat and fight honorably by their side.

Quaggan island was 37 NAME, like 10 TG, and the like 6 man EE group. Its not my problem that the Ark and Agg Omni blob hasn’t been trained in advanced storming the beaches of Quaggandy Combat tactics.

And when we killed them it was a small group of TB, and the EAT members. Hardly a zerg Agg is not capable of handling. I have personally seen them take on 70+ Zergs one reset when we fought Fort Aspenwood and they were maybe running 15.

Well, I was waiting for this ever since you told me I was using the wrong gear and that’s why the ranger couldn’t do much as a “frontliner”

Turns out I was using….. The EXACT same gear.

Basically, you are a brick even mixing in some zerker gear the cleave is pathetic. Not to be rude but ranger as a frontliner is a brick. You don’t do much you are a brick.

Not to mention you have probably just killed yourself if you use barrage on a co-ordinated zerg with retaliation up.

I have been trying multiple multiple builds for weeks trying to run this, but its simple.

I bring nothing my warrior, necromancer, ele, guardian, etc, etc that they can’t do aswell if not better.

-Muddy Terrain
-A longer but smaller water field as opposed to say healing rain.

HOWEVER, this would be a solid build, and you could at least bring a solid cleave if anet gave us the pets damage -_- Why should our f2 be a handicap?

In terms of surviving its a great build I have been using it for weeks, in terms of damage and what the Ranger itself can bring to the zerg/ guild group abysmal.

Good Fights PYRO on DB BL.

Was an awesome time for me to try out frontline Ranger. With might its a decent 3k or so cleave and the maul. But asides from that im just a brick 7.5/10 would do again if warrior and necro weren’t a bigger asset.

Also where is the footage from that GvG between EP and Agg.

Fixing the damage though would be a step in the right direction

WvW as in frontline, actual use to an organized guild zerg.

How easy would it be to make the ranger frontline?

Incredibly easy, three steps

1. give the spirits a reduction in damage they take from AoE.

2. When the pet goes down give us a damage boost. Since most of frontline is cleaving, when your pet goes down, give us back the HUGE damage loss back into the Ranger itself. Or better yet be able to store the pet and give us a damage boost! Which has been asked for I don’t know HOW MANY TIMES, and it wouldn’t even be broken since the damage would be the same, but you would be putting out the numbers not you and your pet.

3. Profit????

I am making this thread to pitch my idea for GvG’s.

I feel if this could be the “esport” that Anet seems to want, but refuses to recognize its legitimacy ( No offense)

Also I would like to make it clear that I DO NOT appreciate the idea of orbs coming back into WvW giving a combat advantage to an opposing zerg. I live for the open field combat and if one side can face roll because they have some “buff” Well that just ruins the fun for me. AND I GURANTEE I am not alone.

So without further delay here is my idea.

Basically, I suggest the utilization of the beautiful structure that is the Wizard Tower in Kessex hills turning it into an arena of sorts.

As you can see it could probably be a convenient area to turn into an arena.

I imagine it working as PvP does, you can join as a combatant provided you are in one of the designated guilds fighting, or you can join as a spectator and observe. But Imo to make it more “interactive” Allow us to have to ability to walk around somewhat like a hockey arena, or a football stadium. Which would also remove the issue with people interfering.

I think it would be fun and as a supporter of the ever growing GvG community, a great thing for arena net to capitalize on.

Provided this tower isn’t already scheduled for more “Living World Content” as invigorating as that is..

I don’t want a buff that’s going to give one side a huge damage advantage. That’s just not fair for any open field engagement.

HOWEVER I wouldn’t mind buffs that are for like keeps guards etc.

The MAIN REASON me, and practically my entire guild play the game is for open field fights that are even. I mean maybe a buff wouldn’t effect it severely since we usually roll most people but it could easily make us lose.

Same with GVG and Roaming and everything else its no fair if someone has an extreme advantage. Something like this may make me leave the game..

I see where you are coming from with the cooldowns, I have been using the build for awhile so I have kinda figured out how to kill time while they come back up. it takes some getting used to for sure.

A Rangers Absolute maximum burst potential

This build here is one I crafted awhile ago, but after the latest patch has gotten a few things picked up survivability etc. Its focus is around you and your pet having lots of might and lots of hitting like a truck potential.

Traits:
30/25/5/10/0
Marksmanship: I, IX, XI
Skirmishing: VI
Nature Magic: V

The 5 in wilderness survival honestly can go wherever you feel fit if you want opening strike on daze in skirmishing go right ahead, or boon sharing, but I like endurance.

Utilities:
Healing Spring: Should be obvious a water field, Regen, and a condi cleanse.
Signet of the Hunt: For the Active
Signet of the Wild: For the Active
Signet of Stone/Lightning reflexes/QZ: I take stone for more might, and an invuln but its not crucial but please not you will sacrifice survivability.
Rampage As One: Very obvious choice stability, easy 25 stacks of might for you and your pet.

Weapons:
Greatsword/Sword/Warhorn

I choose not to use Longbow so I can blast my own water field, and pick up 2 evades, and a disengage plus more might for my pet. But if you really want your 3second stealth feel free. But again you are sacrificing survivability.

Sigils
Sigil of Fire, for an AOE fire blast that does some hefty damage.
Bloodlust on the sword, and personal preference on the warhorn

Gear:
For PvP: Runes of the Scholar, and full zerker.
WvW/PvE: Ruby Orbs, and a mixture of knights and zerker gear, same goes for the trinkets.

Obtaining Your Might
Basically For the initial burst assuming you are using warhorn as well you should be at 15 stacks of might base. Once you use RaO that number only goes up to 25 which is pretty easy to obtain.

Likewise, your pet through RaO should also be at 25 stacks of might easily, I myself have seen my Jungle Stalker hit 6k+ Crits

Running Low on HP

Warhorn 5 is a godsend in this scenario, we finally have a blast finisher, throw down your healing spring, blast it.

A block on the GS can save you

An Invuln from Signet of Stone

Evade on sword 2

Evade on Sword 3

Bursting Targets
The General Burst, is on the maul

10k from the maul on targets, and 5k+ from the Jungle Stalker

An instant 15k burst in the first hits.

So there’s the build enjoy.

In the attached picture, since it doesn’t show the combat log for my pet aswell, my pet hit a 5.6k crit, recorded on the medium golem.

And had my sigil of fire triggered, it can easily hit 2k as well unfortunately that time it didn’t :/
