Just wanted to thank everyone because I just made it into the top 1000 artist list. I’ve only been on there 10 days and I’m working mu way down the list. Thanks to all who played a few of my songs!
Chill Zone, out now. Relax to a rendition of 90’s game music.
Why does a 25% dmg nerf…to one trait, and 2 skills equate to a health upgrade for the entire profession?
Secondly how does “people complain about heartseeker” equate to Cooldowns?
What?
Third the definition of Thief means very little here, it’s pointless to bring up.Also “I think mobility is fine but I heard others say Shadowstep should be longer”
Basically you are just going with what you hear, and are appeasing. Hard to take you seriously on that note.To be blunt. I disagree with your title. It sounds more like “Things I heard desired”.
I agree wit you that some of these changes are drastic, and I’d never agree with about 3 of them. Most threads are about fighting and do not offer ideas and it’s hard to shift through all the debri.
The Heartseeker CDs was part of the add CDs to Thief in general, but that would remove the uniqueness of the class as I have said multiple times.
I added the definition so people would understand what we should be doing because a lot of the Non-Thieves say that we shouldn’t be able to be mobile and have tons of damage.
Also, if a fights last 10seconds and you nerf damage by 25% the could potentially last 12.5 seconds. Our damage wouldn’t have changed that much. If we balance that with more health and armor to make us a bit for tanky ..not too much though we’d see a more balanced fight where we can CC, DPS, Tank, and be mobile. It’s a pretty decent counter balance. We need that extra armor and health imo.
@ Tulisin: Please do take note that I’m not saying incorporate everything with a number beside it. That’d make some of the suggested changes useless. I too believe that the class is fine as it is, but a lot of other don’t. So, ANet is going to make changes for sure, and some of these could make it for the better. Pistol Whip and Pistol Barrage rely on Haste in order to preform as well as other specs or classes. Although, there’s always a skill factor that cannot be calculated as variable for these changes.
Also, please read the full thread. I said that adding CDs would remove the uniqueness of the Thief, already
That was a Community option, and I would never agree with it.
Not really happy with your post. Thief has been nerfed already, the only characters in wvw that are dieing in 1 hit is the players that are not Lv80 and geared. There getting there arrogance and ego all up into the spot, I play a theif without toughness at all and I’m getting hit 4/5k Backstab. I say kitten you man, your pathetic posing as a thief I bet you never even played it properly, no why would you want to nerf the class. The culling is not a issue if you know how to deal with it, I do and I don’t cry about other thieves even if I’m playing a warrior in my guilds group for wvw as the burst class, because for 1 that burst is a x100 better than the thief burst. Yes thief can burst a lot, then don’t get caught on backstab, don’t stop moving these are all issues you can prevent if you put your mind to it.
I didn’t like your post at all.
I think you need to actually read the post before you get all hateful. I do play a Thief and have played a variety of the specs to know what would need to be done to fix them. I never mentioned a direct nerf besides the 25% damage nerf, but I also stated that it could be balanced with increased health and armor pools. Please be more considerate and read the ideas presented to you fully.
My main is a Thief, I just wrote a guide for the build I play currently in WvW.
(edited by Iove.3902)
He wasn’t hacking he is playing a stealth spec. There are traits, that sacrifice damage and mobility, to allow the Thief to regerante HP while in stealth. He could also be using Steal Life food/sigils/runes.
If you know nothing of your enemies you are not going to defeat them.
For reference to my build refer to the thread I posted about it.
I usually have no problems with Mesmers. With my build I have dazes, blinds, and immobilizes to avoid some Shatters and to prevent heals if timed correctly. If I do have problems they are a GC shatter spec that can oneshot me using Sword/Pistol combo.
If possible, I use a stealth when I get them a bit low and wait for a cast animation, which is usually a heal, to daze them and prevent a heal and then burst as much as I can.
Tips: If you roll with a group have someone target the actual mesmer so you can easily keep track of him/her. If you are not in a group make sure to target the mesmer. I see that sometimes people are using auto-target do not lock onto the target selected but the closet to them. So, turn of auto-targeting.
So I got an error saying that the post had to be less than 5001 characters and had to split it! xD
cnt.
Stealth/Culling:
This is a very important issue that would take some serious redesigning to fix.
As of right now, stealth on it’s own, things are fine. Though, stealth and culling can be abused in certain ways.
Culling is a system designed by the developers to lessen stress on your CPU by rendering players/spells by proximity. This allows Thieves to appear to have the ability of infinite stealth. In a large group fight you may render a few enemies around you and then after a bit of moving/deaths you’ll randomly be treated to more enemies that were not rendered before.
Thieves can abuse this because of stealth. We can attack you, go stealth, be removed from your render-set then attack and be ‘culled’ a few seconds after the attack. Making us invisible and able to deal massive damage.
How to Fix Stealth/Culling:
1. Design a new render system. Waaaaay out there and probably would take too many resources. I don’t see this as a plausible fix.
2. Nerf stealth. Though the current mechanics are fine and can be easily countered — things may need a nerf due to culling.
3. Redesign stealth. Possibly a good idea. We could have a stealth that works like like a damage mitigator. Making us evade attacks while in stealth. This would require shorter stealth times.
__________________________________________________________________
I want to end this by asking for a thread lock to ensure that no arguments breakout. If that is NOT possible, then I ask for each reader to ensure fair-play and utilize good manners/behaviors. I would love to see the game fixed/balanced and that can only happen if we all cooperate.
This is all I have, so thanks for reading.

(edited by Iove.3902)
As an avid player and forum poster I’ve seen many conversations/threads pertaining the Thief class and how the class should be addressed. The one started by a Community Manager resorted to flack fighting and no longer provides accurate or plausible information. So, I’m here to address the ACTUAL problems with with the Thief class. I’ll provide quick fix methods as well as fixes that are improbable. I will also be incorporating ideas from the CM’s thread by the community.
Damage/Burst:
I think that this is the first thing we need to concern ourselves with. Only due tot he fact that most complaints – by other players – are dying due to insane amounts of damage.
As a Thief, I know that our damage is high. It’s only high because a large amount of the Thieves play GC specs*. (See Defense)
Is that OP? Yes and no… Yes, because if a player can be killed instantly without a chance to fight back, that’s OP. This goes for each GC spec for any profession. No, because GC specs are available to each profession. The damage may not be as great, but the fights are bursty and last seconds just the same. In one case, GC Thief is only beat in raw damage by one profession: the Mesmer Shatter build.
How to Fix the Damage:
Note that these ideas incorporate ideas from the community as well as my own thoughts.
1. 25% Nerf. Honestly, if it’d make everyone feel better, Thieves could take a direct 25% nerf to Cloak and Dagger, Backstab and Mug — and not be affected too badly. Their damage would be comparable to other GC specs, but still be squishy regardless*. (See Defense) Though, nerfing those may affect other specs that aren’t about Dagger/Dagger.
2. Balance Thief weapon sets. Thief direct damage is usually based on Haste, and most of the weapon set’s skills rely on the use of Haste to make them effective. (i.e. Pistol/Pistol or Sword/Pistol)
3. Cool downs. Increase internal cooldowns on the ability to spam certain abilities. Lots of people complain about Heartseeker. Though, this will destroy the uniqueness of the profession’s Weapon Sets.
Defense/Mobility:
To discuss defense and mobility we need to define the Thief profession.
Excerpt from Dictionary.com: Thief – a person who steals, especially secretly or without open force; one guilty of theft or larceny.
The synonyms then go on to explain that thieves would do what they must, even resort to violence, to obtain things of value. It also mentions trespassing and guile. Using this information we can match it to parts of the Thief profession. Guile? Stealth. Steals. Steal. Force/Violence? Assassin-based burst damage. Trespassing? Going for the kill and then having to mobility to escape. So, ANet did name the class correctly.
Thieves are squishy, this is a fact. No matter the spec.* We have the lowest health and armor pools in the game. So, in turn, we need abilities or ways to negate damage. This is why we have the ability to stealth and move freely at quick speeds. Our mobility is only beat by Dagger/Dagger Elementalists.
How to Fix Defense and Mobility:
1. Increase health and armor pools. This is an obvious and simple fix that would go great with a 25% damage nerf. This would be a good balance to the profession. This would make other specs like conditions viable.
2. Blind mechanics. In GW1 Blind made you miss attacks for the duration of the ability (multiple attacks) not just one attack. Since Thieves have many blinds we could keep the same armor/health we do now and just blind to survive a bit longer. Though, there would have to be an increase on CDs for blinds.
3. Cool downs. I think that Thief mobility is fine and doesn’t need a nerf, but members of the community suggested that there is an increase on CDs for Shadow Step.
tbc.
I tried the 7% and it felt like it really hadn’t helped much, and I like the randomness of quickness out of nowhere.
If you are only auto-attacking with a c/d every now and then, why would you need 15 initiative?
I like to roam and travel fast in WvW, the extra initiative grants more bow-5’s over time. Makes for nice escapes from zergs as well. Also, Cloak and Dagger Spam for inf. stealth can last longer with the extra initiative. Also, it’s nice to spam Bow-2 for that Cluster Bomb to get siege or kitten up a group with AoE.
Link doesn’t work if you click it, but it works if you copy paste it

Someone told me the link doesn’t work. If I could get a confirmation, I’ll see if I can fix it.
Please copy and paste the link. Gw2skills in being naughty
This is a Sword/Dagger build that doesn’t use haste for any serious burst.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fYEQNAsYVlUmiO3cy9E+JFy2jKUn4J+DGl/BySrANB;TsAg0Cno4ywlgLLXOukctgYYx0BA
This build focuses on the ability to control a player with Daze, Immobilize, and Blind. The build offers high damage from from sword and bow auto-attacks. By taking 15points in Shadow Arts we get longer stealth and 2-Initiative when stealthing. When attacking with sword you should remain near full Initiative. This allows for easy escapes with Bow-5 and Shadowstep.
Using sword-2/Shadowstep/Hide in Shadows you have enough condition removal to take off pesky bleeds.
The Utility skills are changeable, use what ever you find comfortable, but I have found these to work best in WvW. In sPvP one may take Thieves Guild/Basilisk Venom over Dagger Storm.
For WvW or PvE, use (power/vitality/toughness) with berserk accessories and ruby jewels.
For SPvP, refer to the link.
Runes and sigils can be found in the link. Use Master Maintenance Oils and Omnomberry Ghost for nice buffs and health regen.
A normal rotation is as follows:
Steal, x3 autoattack, Cloak and Dagger, x1 autoattack (Daze), Sword 2, Cloak and Dagger, switch to bow and get another immobilize because at this point the player you just dun goofed should be running. Spam 1 and enjoy those 1.3k crits.
A Tip for this build, if you want to troll stealth and deal damage with Cloak and Dagger:
Cloak and Dagger, Daze, and x3 autoattacks. By time you get off the 3rd attack the reveal debuff would have gone and you can go back to stealthing.

These are soooooooooooooooo coool!!!! I think I’ll start listening to them a lot while I play
Thanks so much D; It really makes it all better if at least one person enjoys it. I feel like staying up to put out another song now <3
Just wanted to update you guys with more music.
http://www.clubcreate.com/wasdica/music
I just finished my personal story with my RP group, and the song ‘Feeling Well’ reflects on how we felt at the time. We’re heroes, we should be treated like kings.
Also, I think I’m getting better.
P.S. the song Weightless is performed by a friend of mine, and I did the chords. If anyone wants them I can post them somewhere.

You are not killing any level80 on a level5 Thief. No need to lie to get a class nerfed into oblivion.
They are OP regardless of what all the thieves say, can you blame them for not wanting to lose their ez mode ? Most players will flock to any class that gives the best results with the lowest effort, its human nature.
Most people will take the easiest route to accomplish anything, thus the sheer number of thieves in this game.
Argue if you want but this is the sad reality of human nature.
And yes very good troll OP, I’m amazed at how many replies you got.
Carry on.
You have not played a Thief, so you can sit down and shut up because you do not know what you are talking about.
The only reason Thieves were OP is because we could cap points in stealth, that is gone. Our burst is comparable to a Shatter Mesmer. Our armor and health suck causing, no matter what spec or how much toughness we have, to die in one hit. Our only viable specs are GC or a bannable offense. You think it’s fun for us to be forced into playing a certain way? The point of our class is evasion. We’re weak apparently, and we have to have form to negate damage and ways to escape easily.
Carry on? I doubt that you were ever in the military.
Carry on.
(edited by Iove.3902)
Nerf Thieves? You realize that we have been nerfed into the ground and our only viable specs are those that abuse culling or burst and kill in one hit? All of our specs also die in one hit, to anything. Maybe, if people actually played a thief, you guys can understand how frustrating that is that I’m forced to play a certain way in PvP. This game could use some balancing for sure, but so can every game. It’s not just so simple as coming up with a few ideas to nerf classes to fix or balance PvP. There are tons of variables.

Nice build and character, and the clips were okay. You need to work on balancing audio levels because that music was a bit loud. Also, if you’re going to add music remove the game’s audio. Your editing will get better with more experience with Sony Vegas.
I liked the video, I especially enjoyed the downed-state rally clip.
Hope to see more PvP
Note: I’m using the word ‘Electronic’ because I haven’t a clue what else to call it. I have a song that sounds like Housestep, Dubstep and Techno, so the word is just a generality.
The website is free btw and you can start making music by making an account. Have fun!
I’m new to making remixes, or any type of music really, so please leave some nice constructive criticism.
Hey guys, I want to share the music I’ve been making on ClubCreate. I’m only a few days old on the website and am still learning how to use the software. I’d love it if you’d take the time to listen to a few of my mixes and tell me what you think.

This music can also be heard on BitCloud1’s stream at http://www.twitch.tv/bitcloud1/new

I’m also taking commissions for backgrounds for Youtube/Twitch as well as other images that you can use on those sites. I usually keep them simple with custom text and start from scratch. Though, if you have an image in mind I could edit that as well. (I’m better with digital art then music if that makes you feel better xD)

Thanks for reading/listening.

P.S. if you go to Bit’s stream you can see some of my digital work if you look at the image that is the link for his Twitter. It’s blown up in that box so it looks a little pixelated.

I have checked, over and over, and I haven’t received any o the money. Usually, when I over-buy and get this message, the gold is instantly ‘given’ back to the character and does not appear in the Pick-Up tab. Now, I wasn’t given any gold in my inventory or even the Pick-Up tab.
If anyone else experiences this, please post.
I’ve been buying this off the trading post recently and if I try to buy a lot of items at once it’ll say ‘Sorry!’, and then proceed to tell me there wasn’t enough listed items.
Scenario:
The item is listed for 2s and I buy 100, so that’s 2g. Then it tells me there weren’t enough and I get 10 items which would be 20s, yet the Trading Post takes the 2g, and I don’t get it back.
Please post if you are having the same issue.
These events are soloable by any 80. Deal with the time it takes to complete them solo …you choose to run solo. (Tixx is soloable)
M M O R P G #DealWithIt
There’s presents?
I’ve been doing the PvP Event and getting like tons of snowflakes and Recipes. Made 11g in little less than an hour.
!THIS EVENT IS USELESS AND COMPLETELY POINTLESS!
If a World does this event that’ll cause the other world to do the event then the other world to do the same. Essentially all that happens is that you basically traded towers and the scores remain the same.
Uhh… what? How’s that helping anything?
I’m glad that ANet is working on developing content for WvWvW, but there’s no point to this addition to the game.
Is this bugged or am I doing it wrongly, rather, what do you have to do?
I’m at 2/3 of the Meta and it wont advance no matter if I kill a player with a gift or knock them down and cause them to drop it.
Am I doing it wrong, or is this possibly a bug that needs reported?
Hello, I’ve been getting this bug ..but I don’t think it has to deal with Audio at all.
Scenario:
I’ll be in WvW with max graphical settings (low audio) and once I get into a large fight of more than 30+ people this ‘sound bug’ happens. Soon after my game becomes unresponsive due to a crash. I’ll log back in and it’ll be fine, but then the sound happens again, so I note some frame rate loss. I try again, but still get the bug. Though, this time, before I crash, I lowered my Graphics to the lowest setting and did not crash. The sound was still there, but there was no crashes and I could play the game.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
When I heard that others had this bug I tried some tests. I’d lower graphics and increase audio quality, no bug. I’’d max both, bug. I’d lower audio and max graphics, bug. So, I think it has to due to an overload or heavy battering on our processors. I’m not so sure with technical stuff, but it;s obvious after these tests that it has something to do with Graphics more so than Audio.

Elementalist: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fEAQJArIGACFIYUgjSBcA
Scepter/Dagger with Staff offers the best AoE for leveling and mob tagging while doing events with other players.
When you get trait points go 10 into Earth magic for some toughness and condition damage. Then 10 into Arcane for a free shield and the fury boon. Then 10 into Fire for some power and condition duration. With these weapons you can apply mass bleeds and burning. From here on you should be familiar with the class enough to spend the points how you wish.
__________________________________________________________________
Warrior: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQJARTjcO9u5OGPMxBAUBrMF+5UAKA
Bow offers the best F1 ability for combos/burst and Kiting! In conjunction with the Greatsword it’s very deadly. This guild revolves around you putting 10points into arms for the first trait that gives you +40 Precision for each signant you have off CD. Making your crit chance during levels 20-40 near 85%! This makes those levels super fast. Then you can put points into Defense for for Toughness!
__________________________________________________________________
Ranger: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fMAQNAV8PjEVx11Vu1Ag2DAAAAA
This build is about AoE Conditions with the Shortbow and Sword/Torch combo that can burn mobs really quickly. Just place points into Wilderness Survival. This gives you more damage and Toughness! Then you can work on points into Skirmishing for awesome trap features.
__________________________________________________________________
Necromancer: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNAW7IkAkK8cUBiB
This build uses Staff and Scepter/Dagger for conditions! Points into Curses and points into Death magic. You can use Minions for you utility spells and just plow through stuff!
__________________________________________________________________
Guardian: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fUAQNAR5PkIqKEvrCKE
This build is tanky and uses Greatsword for burst and Mace/Torch for a block and extra heal. Points into Zeal and Valor! Guardian utilities are sorta weird, so pick what ever. Avoid the summonable weapons. They’re clunky.
__________________________________________________________________
Thief: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fYAQNAoYVlUmKP3cy9E9pEBXhk6V4rA
This build uses the Daggers Death Blossom ability, Caltrops, and Ambush Trap to stack high bleeds. This build offers Blinds and stealth to avoid hits and sneak past tough mobs to get to objectives. Points into Trickery for more Caltrops and points into Shadow Arts to make you less squishy.
__________________________________________________________________
Engineer: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqelIqya37SVF1bIAIFAAAA
This build overs massive burn damage with extra heals. It also provides some defense with Shield! Points into Fire Arms and Inventions!

MAP SWAP TIME!
Okay so, this is where we get to pick a new zone to go to. You should head to a zone of equal level and begin to go 100% for this new map. You’ll be a little leveled above so when you get to the scenario when you talk to the second scout you’ll be above the level to continue and move on. Don’t forget to gather along the way! Once you receive 100% in this map, go back to you original map and 100% that one as well. (Doing this leads you to even more event chains to break the grind up a bit!)
Reason to do this:
You receive bonus EXP, and some really awesome loot for getting 100%. So, the positives…
+EXP from event chains!
+Loot from 100%!
+Materials you’ve gathered to sell! (By time I hit 30 with this guide I get about 4g already on an alt O.o — which is like maybe 20hrs or less of play time!)
+Complete your daily! (Gives you bonus EXP as well as your Karma Jug!)
The negatives…
+Slightly slower than some Event Chain Grinds
+…that’s it…
__________________________________________________________________
B
The suggestion, if you’re new to the game, is to enjoy the game for your first play through. Just do some events, your personal story, try out WvW and learn your class. The average time, I’ve seen, is about 2weeks to 80 for someone first time!
__________________________________________________________________
Another method, that is popular, is WvW EXP Trains, but that’s server and time dependent. I do not recommend solely leveling via WvW. (Also, if you bore of leveling after awhile, try your personal story! Great EXP and easy missions!)

Below, in the next posts, I will link specs for leveling. You can level with any spec that you want to, but there are some that are better for leveling than others.
(edited by Iove.3902)
Hello! I’m Dean! Also known as: Wasdica, Dean Rhinebolt, and Iove! (with an uppercase i) I’ve been playing this game for a good amount of time now and would like to offer people some tips for leveling. I’d like to offer these tips because people have been asking how I level my characters so quickly.
In this guide I will give my personal opinion on a leveling path as well as go over any other option for leveling, so that you can do what you enjoy the most.
__________________________________________________________________
First off, we need to understand how experience works. You’re probably thinking …“Pfft, yeah right. Who doesn’t understand leveling?” — Understandable, if you were playing any other MMO, but we’re playing GW2 and it’s a’bit different!
“Experience (also exp and XP) is rewarded for performing and completing different objectives in game. As you gain experience you gain levels, increasing your basic abilities.” — http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experience
If you click the above link you’ll see a listing that provides every possible way to gain experience in this game. I want you to note the absence of the word ‘quest’. That’s right! No quests! This is something people have been neglecting since launch.
For example, I see a lot of players complaining that they are under leveled after “doing all the quests” for a certain zone. This is obvious that they are talking about the Renown Heart(s) feature of GW2. In a traditional MMO, like GW1, a player is lead to an area with multiple quests to complete in order to gain experience. But, in this game, you are lead to Renown Hearts that will offer dynamic events near that area.
This is your main way of gaining experience within the game, but there are other things that can stack onto the prior to maximize experience gain. (i.e. gather nodes and personal story quests).
With this aside, we are ready to begin.
__________________________________________________________________
Now, if you’re new to the game, see suggestion B. If you’re a seasoned adventurer, see suggestion A.
A:
Firstly, again, there are multiple paths for leveling quickly.
Now, people may have told you to just grind event chains. This is a very viable form of leveling and is also fast, but it involves a lot of repetition. This can become very boring. So let’s spice it up a bit!
A quick and easy way to gain EXP, level rather quickly, and make some easy money is to “Map Swap” © jk ;P
“Map Swapping is the act of zone completion via swapping to another map of equal level requirement after coming to a point of which you are too low level to continue.”
- Dean
BrEaK DoWn: Scenario!
You rolled a Human Mesmer that wants to join the circus… why did you pick a blonde fro… never mind. GRATS! You finished the initial quest/tutorial zone! Hey! Talk to the annoying scout so you can see the hearts! Go to a Merchant and get gathering tools! —
Got it? Good.
You make your way to the first heart (farm), but you see a POI in the town, grab it. You see a WP, grab it. You get the heart …oh no it’s under attack by bandits! Kill them! What? You did an event near a heart that also gave you advancement for the heart? Nice. Go towards the second heart! Done! Goto the third (Quarry). What!? Harpies! Done! Oh what’s this? A mining node! Bam, EXP. Oh a vista? Bam! Exp! — You did all of the hearts, POIs and other map stuff, and are level 4! Woot! Goto town and talk to the second scout! What!? The Heart he shows you is level5? WTF!
MAP SWAP TIME!
(edited by Iove.3902)
Personally I can do better than burst thieves because they have so much down time.
As D/D Conditions I can constantly have 25stacks of bleeds on a player. If they remove the conditions it’s only a matter of seconds before it’s all reapplied. I have a lot of slowing CCs and stealth as well as a 3-Thief Guild that makes me bursty when it’s available. Players usually die with 10seconds with full bleeds.
And then I can kite with my SB while they are moving so slow that with some power /tough gear I can make Cluster Bomb hit 1k-1.9k.
P.S. Whiles using Death Blossom you evade all damage, winning.
(edited by Iove.3902)
I do agree with Aye, in saying, that it’s not that big of a deal to miss the event as to miss a Birthday, but I do want to state that “..never have another..” analogy is void; due to the comment I made prior, that not to reward the people who will be at the event, with items is a bit extreme.
I also understand that it’s not the end of the world, and I find the condescension to be a bit rude. My point was that why boast new content that will “change Tyria forever” and not have some sort participation for all players.
Hence Pre/Post events would resolve this situation entirely.
I do want to note that the ‘remove all rewards entirely’ idea was just that, an idea …though it is pretty extreme.
My suggestion is to not offer any form of reward or specific item that I cannot obtain otherwise without this event. Or, perhaps, extend the days of the event. With this new content you’re limiting availability to your players and not offering content to everyone equally.
After serving in the 110th INF BTN for 6 years and going on 2 deployments I re-upped in the National Guard so that I may go to school. We have drills on select weekends and I’ll be missing on some fun content …and that’s just MY excuse. There are more people who play this game that will also missing content and will never see it. We might not get some free Exos or cool event town clothes.
I don’t want this to be a plea to me, but I want ANet to realize that they’re making content that a lot of their player-base won’t see fully. I never took business classes, but I don’t see that as a good direction to head into if you want people to continue playing. What’s the point if the Devs can just exclude you from seeing content they produce?
In short, extend the available days for the event or offer something for others to do the days before or after the event.

Every time I log on I may have hours of play or I may be booted after minutes. I get booted to the game client and try to log in and it says I cannot connect. It says due to a Firewall, but I don’t have one in place. I would like to see this fixed. I honestly had not problems until Halloween…
Initially, I am able to log into the game, but once in I may have hours of play or I may be kicked after 15mins if I try to WP to another area. Once I get kicked I cannot log into the game servers for several minutes. I talked to support about this and they said that it was a Firewall problem …problem.. I don’t have a Firewall in place. So, in turn, there is a bug with the log-in servers.
Note: It does not always happen.
