So much for EMP bragging about their undefeated GvG record, it got destroyed in a day. 2 SoR guilds just wrecked them. First TW then CDS.

Numbers were even and they lost. Not sure I get all the drama surrounding this. You win and lose, it is what it is. If you win, act like you’ve been there before and intend to go back. If you lose, lose with grace, learn from your mistakes, say “GG”, and be done with it. Practice what you preach SoR, sportsmanship is a two way street. If CDS is as good a guild as they claim to be, they shouldn’t be estatic about one victory.

The drama is completely one-sided. No one is claiming this is the second coming of Christ or anything. It’s simply a video recording of a GvG match. It just happens that the opposing team decided to talk kitten and act like it wasn’t fair.

I doubt the video was posted to “rub it in”. You can’t fault CDS for responding to comments about having more people(or people making flatout incorrect statements about the actions of the commander tag).

Point is, they don’t even HAVE to respond to those comments…they videotaped it! Anyone with two eyes can see the fight was even. Anyone even remotely objective can see that CDS won the confrontation with EMP.

I dunno, Noodles seemed pretty indignant and huttburt in the chat. Quite disrespectful too.

But that’s the story of Noodles, in public he’s all about respect and in private tells and chats, he’s nothing but a big kitten.

The comments on the video itself are humorous. I mean I dig the trolling, but JQ just seems delusional the video speaks for itself.

I guess they figure if they back out enough times TW will quit asking them and they won’t have to fight them. I doubt they counted on getting hunted and wiped all over JQBL directly after though.

What was funny was how they ended up losing everything and left the map. Indo wasn’t even planning on taking anything that night either just have some friendly GvGs after the lowbie mesmer/necro night.

SoR shouldn’t make the mistake ioj made when going tiers down believing in an easy win against lower tiers opponents : that didn’t happen.

We get it, your server(Kaineng) isn’t dominating T2 and you want SoR to move to KN. That isn’t happening.

The SOR community is probably one of the strongest out there, no guild is going to move from SOR to the bandwagon server.

Everyone dig in for status quo for the next 3 months unless there’s another population shift or game mechanics change.

There is no one else, hate to break it to you. While SoR’s coverage is nothing compared to BG or JQ, no other server comes close either.

This is what happens when everyone stacks 1 or 2 servers.

Fighting for kills and fighting for ppt are two very different things. One is still being done.

Which is why no one on SoR is stressing the score.

Last night we did all mesmer/necro night, had an entire BL full of uplevel’d necros and mesmers. Lost everything everywhere else, but it was a lot of fun playing with everyone in a fun atmosphere. The rendering was lols with the pets and illusions.

As far as KN coming to T1, it’ll happen eventually if BG and JQ gets SoR down enough points, but the fact the score is like this without SoR even trying, it’s gonna be a while. And sadly, once KN comes to T1, you’ll probably only have a week of them up here because besides asian time zone, they don’t have much else. They will mitigate FOO and MERC, but then get destroyed every other timezone and won’t keep enough points to stay in T1. Look at how close the T2 matchup is.

It’s interesting situation for SoR though, having a carefree spot in T1 is a lot of fun for SoR in general. People get all the T1 action they want without any of the worry of the score or ppt.

Well, a three things…

First, you are up against two incredible servers. It will be tough to compete with them. The reality as well is that when you are in third place, you lose a lot of the more casual WvW players. You will still have your core, but the players who always give you a queue will be gone. That’s to be expected.

Second, everyone in the top 2 or 3 tiers zergs. SoR did it as well in tier 2. It’s a valid gameplay strategy. Hopefully there will be incentives not to zerg in the next update, but who knows.

Three, you are in a tough spot. SoR isn’t at the same level as BG and JQ currently, but is definitely way ahead of all of the tier 2 servers. I do not see any competitive matches for you for awhile.

^^This, SoR is a T 1.5 server atm. Really belongs nowhere. Be happy and enjoy the game with your friends and guild mates is probably the best advice I can give you. Most Rallians are having a blast out there, so many laughs in map chat and TS past 2 weeks and the open field fights when our enemies aren’t running have been great.

Ah, that’s truly a shame. The more GvG that happens the better it will be for this game long term I feel, at least until they create GvG similar to GW1. I can’t say I condone interrupting a GvG especially when you know what it is. Sucks it happened to you guys, but don’t let it deter you from trying again.

Can’t get bags in the field so FEAR has to resort to breaking the unspoken truce zone that everyone has set aside for GvG? This is the one spot where people from each server can come and stand next to each other to watch a small skirmish and build some sort of community between each of the competitive servers. I think all of SoR’s guilds are quite capable of holding their own as a guild. There seems to be a lot of hate just because sometimes these guilds work together. Isnt that the point of having allies, a community, and servermates.

Maybe the other servers are just upset that SoR’s guilds are willing to work together when needed and work together so well creating such an unstoppable force, whereas their enemies hate each other just has much as they hate their opposition.

I think it’s fair to say guilds avoid TW like the plague. I really don’t know what you guys are going to do when you get to T2, there isn’t anyone that can beat you in T1(that I’ve seen), you guys will be bored in T2.

The Reason EMP avoids TW is not because we are afraid of them, although we do think that they are a good PvP guild. The only reason that TW wasn’t included on that list is the fact that TW has been known to spam troll EMP members, especially our GM, Rawnoodles. Basically all of our leadership has TW blocked, so setting up communication between us to GvG would be difficult.

Understand that we do have respect for TW as players, but as people, we have had some serious issues in the past. We would like nothing more than to test ourselves against TW, but they have made it clear that they are not interested in a friendly competition.

I don’t know Raven and haven’t seen him in game yet, but it seems that the animosity that comes between servermates and ex-servermates is something that everyone has.

Just look at the ex-JQ, the ex-SBI, the ex-HoD, the ex-IOJ, the ex-SoS, etc etc.

Anyone who leaves a server for another, the people that stay will always despise those that left(no matter what the reason, even if valid).

Look, I’m not saying I’m better than every single TW player. I don’t know if I’d beat them in 1v1s or whatever.

To me being good isn’t a static thing. To me it’s about always working to improve your skills and the kinds of skills that I’ve seen developed in zerg warfare aren’t really the kinds of skills I really want to work on developing.

I run around by myself a lot of the time just for that reason. I try to win 2v1s and 3v1s for that reason. Sometimes I lose sometimes I win, sometimes I just run away. But I almost always feel like I’m learning something I want to learn.

That’s why I wouldn’t want to join TW or any of these other zerg guilds. It’s not that I think they’re all awful players, although perhaps some of them are. It’s that I don’t think they know anything about the game that I want to know.

If I thought differently I would’ve endeavored to join them. Instead I’ve stayed put.

And as far as how good they are, depends on whether you can beat them or not I suppose.

As far as their numbers, etc. They are a 12 year old guild going back to DAOC, I don’t think they are looking to just recruit members for the sake of recruiting. I can only assume they are selective because the people they play with in this game, they want to play with them in the next too.

I’m sure someone who is actually in TW can speak for their own guild though, I just enjoy running with them.

They vote once a month to promote up to 4 players from TWL to TW. If anything, I’d say TW is probably the most exclusive guild in the game atm considering they don’t mass recruit at all and they still have people pounding down their doors wanting to get in but can’t.

I could only imagine what would happen if they had 80 players though.
