I believe even if JQ or BG are going after ppt playing wvw as it’s intended they also love to go on open fields with a goal behind it unlike SoR that focus only on open field fights without any achievements. How can people can enjoy open field fights on SoR side if they keep wiping with no clear goal nor achievement: because of this I don’t think SoR will grow anyhow to be more competitive. You are not playing the same game and you can’t win… If it happens you win some open fields fights what do you achieve? And if you love to drop bags I inform you pve is more rewarding

I don’t think people understand that guilds/individuals come to SoR for the community. The historical losing record yet the consistent growth and continuously fun atmosphere of the server proves that people aren’t here just for a virtual W which means nothing.
Even the 6 weeks we won T1, people didn’t care. As a matter of fact, more people were saying can we start losing because JQ and BG weren’t coming out to fight at all. The target rich environment is ideal for us atm.
The current situation works for everyone, people should be happy, not mad.

Thankfully, we have someone from a different server with more knowledge of Blackgate than we do who can keep us up to date.

If you have ever heard the banter in TS between IRON and the rest of the server, I don’t think anyone would agree with you there. While you may see IRON as negative, they are part of the SoR family and everyone on SoR gets along amazingly well with each other regardless of what the score is.
The playful and positive atmosphere on SoR is something I have never seen in any game before. It’s truly like one happy family.
The majority of committed WvW players don’t give a crap about PPT anymore. The PPT game, as it stands, is completely boring. People want fights.
WvW is just a training ground for the next GvG for most guilds.
This times 1000. It’ll be interesting to see if Anet has the insight to just toss ppt out the window and create a new fun system that allows all 24 servers to fight each other competitively.

The scores were very close at that time (as they are now). This happened only a couple weeks. Because any time before that, Waha had only focused Blackgate. You judging that one week where our SEA took a break is nothing compared to how long we have been facing JQ’s SEA. We are more accustomed to their presence than you are… even if they have their eyes on you recently. MERC and ND have fought FOO/ATM since way back when SoS was in the match.

There was no official declaration in BG with guilds saying they were on break, but they essentially were taking a break because they weren’t making it a point to go into wvw. Lol. Turned out to be a plus for us though, because they seem much more enthused now.
Makes sense, I guess all the hoorah about JQ’s comeback was just BG taking it easy on them.
Back to status quo I guess, at least we are all having fun.

The fights with WahaZergTM this morning were amazing. It actually got a lot of people excited. So thank you Waha for being a good sport about everything and coming back over and over to fight.
This is when the game is most fun when you are fighting like that. The hilarious thing is people think they can demoralize SoR, but 3rd is 3rd, you may 2v1 down our structures because you have better coverage but your’re getting farmed open field. We live for the open field battles.

1. Why? It was fine the way it was, new colors are blinding.
2. At least be uniform about it, the altars are still dark blue, the score screen is still dark blue, the banners are still dark blue. I mean why implement a change like this if you’re going to just half kitten it.
3. It’s the same color as the commander tags, they are kitten near impossible to see in any blue structure now.

Underestimated, we had 3 ele’s online max, but even when putting them all on staff, the dual thief focus on them was too much, our casters got bursted down.
Second round we went in a little harder, but the thief pressure was too much. Now that we think back, there was a solution to the thief problem but it did not come to mind. And no, [EP] did not do what [RE] did to TW. Every round as soon as our casters were down, it was pretty much downhill, no matter how long we wanted to take the fight.
I could honestly say, our casters never had a thief like that put pressure and respect to [EP] for doing so. [EP]‘s melee train wasn’t a joke either, no matter how much damage we put on it, it outsustained our damage, especially since our casters were struggling staying alive. We tried 2 counter thiefs but it didnt help much.
In short, [EP]s thief pretty much scared our casters, the damage from casters wasn’t there anymore and they were still dying. No waterfields, so regroups, 13 other people putting pressure on myself (melee train). Aggression was countered.
Both those groups appear to be running the exact same strat and setup. While I did not participate in either, just go watch both those guild’s fights.
It’s the exact same thing that happened to both, the thieves were wrecking the backlines.
Like I said, the difference is TW adapted(watch the video), AGG’s backline kept getting wrecked over and over.

Next time you should build 4 arrow carts when you fight us open field. Obviously 2 wasn’t enough. Not sure what happened, I thought you used to be good.

TW was running under 20 for most of the night in EB. Given that I was there and I know when, where, and why we deployed arrow carts from time to time…. all I have to say in response is this:
Don’t be mad because less than 20 people dropped arrow carts to farm your 60 man zerg at a choke point. Thanks for the bags.
1) No doubt there are even-ish numbers. 2) It is clear Indo is leading, we had a target on him see 4:50 (and Silver Invader? dayyyummm). 3) You guys obviously retreat into the camp to build two arrow carts, one of which does not get finished.
I barely see any TW tags in your video, maybe 10 max? And you are zerging down like 20 SoR with your full BL map.
I dunno, I look at them as anti-exploiters now. ANET saying their going to fix the gold farm next patch on Tuesday goes to show that what people are doing there is not intended.
