Techinically speaking, Eredon Terrace is a defunct server of a once glorious race that fought on T1 (Just as HoD, IoJ and SBI). Free transfer destroyed all the servers i’ve named.

I’m not going to say “Oh ET, been in T1 and SF never got above T6”, because the people who fought on T1, i’m sure that are on T1 (i bet it might even be SoS BADwagoners since it’s been during SoS ascension). However, i’m sure up till 2 week ago (When eredon finally raised 1 position in the rank), the server morale was entirely broken. I’m sure SF doesn’t have that much problem, since it didn’t suffered a huge downfall.

BTW I’m just throwing random facts here…

Nothing but their icon on the banners… But if the guild claim and don’t put buffs up, you can yell’em for that for not letting another guild that might have the buffs up claim this certain location.

Being outmanned on your own borderland is awkward… But that’s how things work sometimes around T8 (and it’s not a ET issue only… Even SF have that sometimes)

Ruby jewels are Zerkers, but they are obtained through drop from the loot bags (Ruby crystals/orbs) and crafting (Exquisite Ruby Jewel).

The problem in there is the rating of the server that get moved (which would need to be adjusted). Let’s use T8 as exemple:

SF move up since it already wond enough weeks. HoD move down.
SF have only 907 rating against 1005 from HoD.
Unless SF make 100 rating points, it will move down (provided that HoD doesn’t points).

That would need some major changes.

What I was saying that you posted on threads and read them before you came here and now that you are here after knowing the problem, that it is wrong for people to transfer to SF cause we are in first in our tier. Well i don’t think i’ve said that on this post, but right now i don’t really mind anymore if SF get more people.

Of course, i’d rather put people on ET/FC and make it a much more fair fight, but we can also just inflate SF and let it go, and then pit ourselves against the unknown. I’m sure i’ve changed after seeing that SF isn’t the overwhelming monster everyone says, but it still undenyable bigger.

But in the end, the post i made was to show that even though T8 is loopsided, it’s nowhere close to what’s happening up in the high tiers (except for T1 which seens pretty close)… T6-T8 are problably the places where the WvW is more enjoyable, even with all the T8 problems.

Made me laugh that there is no outmanned buff in the screenshot. Just the breakout NPC vitality buff.
I guess if you get the 2 confused, it is easy to think your constantly outmanned.

Edit because, funnier still…..your on FC borderland. Goes against the standard “We are always outmanned by SF!”

You want to leave a red/blue server that is getting beaten by a green server. With few exceptions, most of the recent WvW matches have been dominated by the green server.

If others do the same bandwagoning, the green server will become a red server in the next highest tier, only to get stomped. By moving, you’ll eventually end up in the same situation you want to leave now.

The problems the high tiers are facing right now just go as far as T5… If IoJ/DR ever drop down, things might change, but for now, that’s it.

Wait how long have you been in T8 for….under a week and now there is a new expert on the field. I realize that there was a problem when SoS players moved to your old server, but to trash talk people that joined a winning server and had you guys move up to face the T1 competition is a little suspect to me. Now here on T8 SF get blasted for having to many people and some how vilified for even trying to recruit, like it’s some how our fault that ET and FC hasn’t even been able to compete with us. I just don’t understand why someone would transfer to the T8 quagmire and then start crying foul about everything in T8….you did make the decision to transfer here.

I’m sure the only problem is that Anet didn’t expected everyone would stack on top tiers and leave lower tiers population so low…

Sometimes i go alone in SF borderland and don’t even get outmanned buff since there isn’t a single soul in there… (unless everyone decided to farm centaurs/skritt)

EDIT: about making new maps… That would just create a lot of drama of “Your team is winning because you have X borderland and we have Y”

Some events in WvW are messed and it’s not only escort dolyaks… I’ve also had problems receiving rewards for defenses, and sometimes even in taking an objective…

At almost 2:30am EST, depending on which borderland you’re in, anybody can be outnumbered. I’d shrug too.

I’m at EB, but we are outmanned in all borderlands except Eredon’s.

Oh, and another note: I was in our BL yesterday and a bunch of ET were taking Bluebriar and Bluevale (over and over). Guess what? We had the outmanned buff going for us. But that can’t happen can it? SF ALWAYS out numbers both of your servers put together (as so you think from reading these forums).

Sometimes i log alone on your borderland too and I don’t get outmanned even tho everything is green… Problably because no one’s in home…

I’d say “Ultimate Timewaster” is a fitting title for all those impossible achievments. Either they get reworked, or no one will ever do one.

None of those your mentioned affect the Scoreboard directly… Points per kill would allow an exploit that would directly interfere in the game score.

Well, it happens all the time and you know it. I am not going to say SF is better in even level matches, really depends on how the players match up. We win some, we lost some. But sitting here and pretending it never happens is lame.

But what he’s saying is “SF is better no matter if it’s even or not”, which just as you stated, isn’t totally true (since SF do lose fights). And we know most of fights in T8 aren’t even…

Just as he’s tired of hearing ET/FC blamming the numbers. I don’t think bragging as if they do not exist is good either.

Maybe they do perform like that when I’m not on, but when I am on I see those equal number fights usually turning out in our favor.

Please show a equal fight video with SF winning because i just see SF winning when they outnumber the opposing force (Which is almost always constant, for ET at least, because we usually have outmanned buff on 3/4 borderlands almost all times).

As opposed to dodging fighting the enemy, not leaving keeps, or taking undefended towers and keeps off peak hours? The current state of the game doesn’t reward playing well, it rewards population and coverage. That has to change.

If it wasn’t suposed to be a Coverage game i doubt it would be a week-long matchup…

All hail the mighty cliff! It’s hilarious when a Ranger uses the LB #4 to shoot an enemy off a cliff. Most people don’t expect a Ranger to use one, so the second it happens I laugh so hard because they hit the ground and I get that lovely exp.

I get close using my shortbow, then i weapon swap and use LB #4… I’m sure the enemy is all like “WTF?! He was using a SB!”

Is there anyway to gauge if the server you start on is going to be overpopulated? I don’t want to accidentally join a server and then see that everything is being zerged way too easily. I prefer the underdog. Or do they frequently change which servers are enemies?

I’d say to join ET/FC and try yourself against the odds of the Overwhelming SF (Which have more population than the other two). And it’s only 25g since both aren’t “Very High” population.

T6 and T7 are the most balance tiers right now (and T7 is problably already decided). Joining T8 will just be a good idea if you want to either face the overwhelming odds against SF, or if you want to curb stomp the same servers for months without ever leaving T8.

Because that is what it boiled down to pretty much.

SoS would be competitive in Tier 2 if all those guilds hadn’t fled. A few weeks of getting owned by the JQ uberhorde again and those guilds will be abandoning BG, too. I’m looking forward to experiencing balanced WvW wherever we finally settle, rather than the no strategy culling zergs of Tier 1.

You don’t really need to spend 20 bucks since you can pay that in gold too… I’ve brought my transfer with ingame currency (gold). And I’m sure the hardcore guys can make it easy, since i know some that have 2-3 toons with commander tags without ever leaving WvW (either that or they spend a lot of dollars on the game).

IMHO, While it is unlikely SoS will fall to T8, it is very likely that the rise and fall of servers will continue as long as the “super server” constructs in T1 continue to attract players.

The funny part is: I don’t know how someone would be attratacted to play in server where you can get HOURS of queue…
