Hello, Crysis. =) Since you said you wouldn’t mind switching (if it worked out), I thought I’d bring up Remnants of Hope.
We are small-ish, active, and we love doing things with people. Just a couple nights ago we had a leveling party for lowbies who wanted to just explore around Snowden Drifts together. Kill ALL the things! Gather ALL the nodes! It was fun, and we were all in TeamSpeak chatting during it. If that kind of thing sounds like you’d enjoy it, please check out our website and consider putting in an application. =)
Just returned to the game after some time away. Looking for a guild that fits the following:
Server – Currently on TC, but will transfer for the right guild (probably after guesting for a week to make sure it’s a good fit).
International – A balance of Oceania / US probably works best as I’m in Aus, but sometimes play during US peak due to shift work.
Mature – 21+ or older preferred (I’m 30).
Active guild chat – I rarely use voice chat unless it’s necessary for a dungeon.
Respectful – no insults on the basis of race, gender, sexuality etc. Even better if there’s a guild rule on it.
Casual- real life takes priority
Medium size – would prefer a smaller group of people who are familiar to me over a largely unknown crowd.
Mixed interests – mostly after fellow adventurers for PvE/Dungeons, Guild Missions and occasional WvW. Even better if there are guild members up for a bit of roleplayed adventuring (where we go do PvE in-character) – but not essential.
Hello there, up there in your tree! I’m Aidyn, and I know you already got lots of great offers from people, but I wanted to take a sec and talk to you about Remnants of Hope.
We’re on Tarnished Coast, and although we don’t have any members in Australia, we have a few who play during Oceanic times (due to “creative” sleep schedules). I’m 29, and most of the people in the guild are around my age, although we have several who are older (married, kids, careers, etc.). Although we do have people who use TeamSpeak for things, guild chat is still very active.
We are super respectful. We have a Code of Conduct that everyone must sign before finishing their trial phase. I have never heard or seen anyone in the guild use slurs. We do have some openly LGBTQ people in the guild (myself included), and have faced no problems with that.
Real life always comes first. We have a “Leave of Absence” forum where you can post if you’re going to be away for a long time, and that’s completely okay. No one is forced to participate in a certain number of events each week, and no one is penalized for playing casually.
We are a small-to-medium guild of people who all enjoy getting to know each other; there’s no sea of faces to get lost in. We also have a sponsorship program for new members, to ensure people make connections and feel welcome.
We also fit the mixed-interests part: we do dungeons, exploration, Living Story content, PvP, WvW, and even RP. In fact, I posted just today on our forums with some RP.
So… it would be wonderful if you and your tree found your way to Remnants of Hope. =) But whatever you decide, I hope you find a great guild that fits you!
Update: I rolled back to the Catalyst 12.11 drivers and it seems to have fixed it. Just took 20 screen shots in a row with no freezes. =)
Update: I just tried updating my BIOS, and that didn’t help, either.
I’m having this problem. It started yesterday, when I installed my new video card, AMD Radeon HD 7950. It freezes every time I take screenshots too quickly in a row, such as a few seconds apart. One screenshot on its own does not cause a problem. It only seems to BSOD sometimes. Here’s what I’ve tried:
- Updating to the Catalyst 13.1 drivers
- Updating my mobo chipset drivers
- Updating my net frame work
- Changing my in-game graphics settings (lowering them, raising them)
My partner bought the same, identical graphics card, and isn’t having any problems. We even swapped cards, and his computer is still working fine, so it’s something with my computer.
Any tips, suggestions, etc.?
Hello! My husband and I are looking for an active guild on Tarnished Coast that:
- will do the new Guild Missions
- is small or medium, so we won’t feel lost in a sea of people
- is active enough that people actually chat in guild chat and respond when you ask if anyone wants to do stuff
- has active forums
- is LGBTQ friendly
Ideally, we’d like a guild that does WvW and is friendly toward people who RP, but the bolded stuff above is the most important. We play Ranger and Elementalist, respectively, and we’re both max level with decent gear.
