Hiya, Silevril. It sounds like my guild, Ember Solace, might work out well for you. We’ve got about 55-ish members, and we’re on Tarnished Coast. If you’re not on TC, you could still do everything with us except WvW. We’re putting together a Havoc Squad for that right now, but we mostly do PvE stuff. We actually have a Newbie Officer, Lorena, who loves helping teach people the lower-level dungeons, and my co-leader, Dahkeus, leads a Fractals Beginner Party every Wednesday night for people who are new to Fractals or just like doing the first Tier. Plus, we have lots of friendly people who enjoy helping out and grouping up. Tonight, we’re doing Tequatl.
If we sound interesting, please check out our forums. If you register, you can read through our GW2 sections and get a feel for our community and the types of events we do. (There’s a thread in our Calendar & Events sub-forum that lists every event we have scheduled this week, plus we have many spontaneous events, too.) Then, if you think we’d be a good fit, you can put in an application in the Applications section. Hope to hear from you soon! =)
Hiya, Lysander! My guild isn’t an RP guild, but I thought I’d link you to the GW2 Roleplayer Forums. They have sections where you can advertise that you’re looking for a guild, and sections where guilds can advertise that they’re looking for people. Plus, they keep track of fun RP events that are coming up, such as the Tea Shoppe event Thursday on Tarnished Coast.
You’re right in that the megaservers will largely take care of that, so hopefully you can find a good fit on any U.S. server and get down to RPing. Good luck! =)
Hiya DeadWalker. It’s really cool to see so many people speaking up to hang out and do things in game together with you. =)
If you’re still looking for a guild, it really sounds like my guild, Ember Solace, would be a good fit. We genuinely care about each other and make strong friendships. We cheer people on when they go out on a first date, wish people luck when they begin a new job, and remember who has visitation with their kid on certain nights a week.
Although we do a bit of everything, we mostly focus on PvE, and we have scheduled events every week (plus spontaneous stuff whenever people feel like it, which is often). We also have active forums where people can connect, get to know each other, and discuss stuff about the game, other games, real-life, and more.
If you haven’t found a guild home yet, and you’d like to check us out, please consider visiting our forums. If you register, you can see our GW2 sections, which should give you an idea of what we’re like and how we interact (plus the Calendar & Events thread shows all the events we have schedule this week and archives from past weeks, too). Then, if you want, you can apply with us (we have a brief app to weed out trolls). =)
Please let me know if you have any questions. ^^
Heya, Sep! I’m sorry you’ve had such bad experiences with TS before. I’ve been through something similar. I have a hard time with auditory stimuli, and I just can’t hang out on TS all evening because I get sensory overload.
My guild, Ember Solace, uses TeamSpeak3, and we do have some members who like to hang out on there all the time, but we have more members who prefer to use guild chat. However, many of our members are pretty introverted, so sometimes no one knows what to say or how to start a conversation. It might be pretty quiet in guild chat, and then someone will ask a question about the new Living Story Journal stuff, and all of the sudden conversation will break out. xD
I usually only get on TS for specific purposes, like during Guild Missions or dungeons, and I exit immediately afterward. xD We also have some members who kind of like being a bridge between both, so they will hang out on TS but also add any relevant information in guild chat. Sometimes it works the opposite way: someone in guild chat will suggest starting a dungeon, and they’ll get four people, and then someone will offer to hop on TS to see if there’s anyone there who would want to be the 5th person. =)
But anyway… we’re a small-ish guild (about 58 players currently) on Tarnished Coast, and we do a mix of everything, but mostly PvE. We don’t have any required/mandatory activities (and we don’t require that people transfer), but we do have a trial period to help make sure people are a good fit for us and we’re a good fit for them. Maybe you’d be interested in trying us out? You could apply with us and see if you feel like our guild chat is active enough for you, and if it’s not, you could decide not to join permanently at the end of the trial period.
We’re a laid-back group that likes to be a little silly sometimes (if you decide to try us out, ask Ben about The Sliddening). Like the event recently where a group of people decided to make brand-new characters and try to run from the starter zone to Orr. xD
We also have active forums, so even if you can’t be in game often, you could catch up with people and stay current on what’s going on via the forums. Also, if you register on the forums (www.EmberSolaceGuild.com), you can get read-access to our GW2 sections, so you can kind of scope us out before you decide if you want to apply.
I hope we hear from you soon, but whatever happens, I hope you find a really great guild that meets your needs, Sep. =)
Hiya! My guild isn’t an RP guild, but I wanted to reply with this site just in case it helps. =)
They’ve got a place where you can introduce yourself, look for a guild, and more. Piken Square is the “unofficial” RP server for the EU servers, but I’m sure there are still RP guilds on Aurora Glade, or you could use the Guest option like you mention.
Good luck in your search! =)
Hiya, Countess Aire. You’ve been playing from the very get-go, then. =) Would you be willing to consider a guild on Tarnished Coast? You could guest onto TC for things like Guild Missions, but otherwise, the megaserver should take care of the rest. The only thing we couldn’t do together is WvW.
We have several older players (40+), and we love doing things like Fractals, dungeons, Living Story, map completion, and more. We use TeamSpeak, as well, and we don’t believe in drama. =)
If you think we might be a good fit, you could register on our guild forums and poke around a bit to see what we’re like. Then, if you like what you see, you could fill out the application on the forums to join us. (We do have a brief application to weed out trolls and such.) And if you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them. =)
Hiya, Nanook! I love your name; are you a fan of bears? Also, welcome to Guild Wars 2! My guild, Ember Solace, is a laid-back, social guild on Tarnished Coast. We require 100% rep (meaning you can’t be in any other guilds, just ours), but we don’t require that people are on every day or anything like that. We love new people, and even have a Newbie Officer, Lorena, who loves to host events and activities for people who are new to the game (or who have lower-level characters). We help out with quests, do map exploration, low-level dungeons, and more.
If we sound interesting to you, please register on our forums so you can check out our community and get a feel for us and the kinds of events we do. Then, if you like what you see, you can put in an application to join us. (We have a brief app to weed out trolls and such.) Anyway, I hope to see you on the forums soon, and if you have any questions about stuffs, please let me know! =)
Hihi Moose! (Now I’m thinking of a moose doing the Safety Dance. xD ) Welcome back to Tyria! My guild, Ember Solace, is a laid-back, social guild with people who enjoy hanging out and doing activities together. We also have a Newbie Officer, Lorena, who loves putting together activities for people and helping with things for people who have been gone or are new to the game.
If you’d like to check us out, you can register on our forums and observe us for a bit to see if we have the kind of environment you want, and then decide if you’d like to apply with us. (We have a short application to weed out trolls and stuffs.) Hope to hear from you soon!
Hiya, Coffee! What you want definitely describes my guild, Ember Solace. We are 100% rep, we’re super friendly, we do Guild Missions every week, and most of our events are PvE, with lots of dungeons.
If you want to check us out, you can register on our forums and get a feel for us, and then decide if you want to put in an application. (We have a brief application process to weed out trolls and elitists.) Let me know if you have any questions for us. =)
P.S. – Here’s us doing a Guild Rush. ^^
Hiya, JadOLantern! Good evening to you, too. =) I’m not sure which server you’re on, but if you’re on a North American server, you could guest over to Tarnished Coast, which is where my guild, Ember Solace is located. Most of the time, guesting isn’t even necessary, because of the megaservers now, but it helps with Guild Missions.
We’re a small-ish, active guild with friendly, kind people who love making good memories, too. We also have a Social Officer, Kaz, who enjoys holding social events like Hide and Seek and doing giveaways and raffles. ^^
If you’re interested in joining us, you can apply on our forums. Please let me know if you have any questions! =)
Yeah, the guest feature is pretty cool. A lot of times it’s not necessary now that they’ve implemented megaservers. (Basically, that you get grouped up together on maps with people similar to you, such as people in the same party or same guild, instead of being grouped on maps by server.) But it seems to be necessary when doing Guild Missions, which are a lot of fun. Anyway, hope your week goes well, Dyspathy, and we’ll talk this weekend. =)
Hiya, Dyspathy! There’s definitely still a lot to do after 80, and I think you’d have fun exploring that with my guild, Ember Solace. I know you’re on Crystal Desert, but if you’d be willing to guest onto Tarnished Coast, you wouldn’t have to transfer. The only thing you couldn’t do with us is WvW.
We’re a small-ish guild (56 people), and we do a little bit of everything. This week, we have the following scheduled events: map completion, dungeons, Fractals, jumping puzzles, world boss farming, team PvP, and Guild Missions. Plus, people do spur-of-the-moment activities, too. We also have a Newbie Officer, Lorena, whose sole focus in the guild is to help newer players (or returning players who aren’t sure what to do).
If we sound interesting, please register on our forums so you can get a feel for us and the kind of community that we have. If you like what you see, you can fill out an application on the forums to join us. =) Please let me know if you have any questions, and wherever you end up, I hope you find a great guild home. ^^
No worries, Ambrosia Blue. We don’t actually require that people switch servers, but you would need to guest over to do things with us. If you’re okay guesting, you’re still welcome to apply with us, but I understand if you’d rather find a guild based on IoJ. =)
Hiya Sankofa Jimiyu! (Your account name is so pretty.) It’s hard when guilds kind of split up or end up going their separate ways to separate games. I know you’re on Yak’s Bend, but if you’d be willing to guest to Tarnished Coast, my guild, Ember Solace, might be right for you. We don’t require that people transfer, and you can do everything via guesting except for WvW.
We have a wide variety of events each week (this week we’ve got map exploration, dungeons, Fractals, jumping puzzles, world boss farming, team PvP, and Guild Missions scheduled) and we’re a casual, social guild with people who just like to have fun and really do care about each other.
If you’re interested, you can register on our forums and check out our community. There you can see our GW2 forum sections and get a feel for how we interact and what we’re all about. Then, if you like us, you can fill out an application on the forums to join. Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope we hear from you soon. =)
Hello to you both, and welcome to Guild Wars 2. =) I know you’re on Blacktide and Darkhaven, respectively, but if you’d be willing to guest to Tarnished Coast, I think my guild, Ember Solace, might have what you’re looking for. We’re a small-ish (54 people) PvX guild with active forums and lots of people who love to help.
We also have a Newbie Officer, Lorena, who loves hosting events for beginner (or low-level alt) players. Things like map completion, helping with personal story quest, answering questions about builds, running low-level dungeons (including Story Mode!).
If we sound interesting, you can register on our forums and take a look at our events and community. And if you like what you see, you can fill out our application on the forums to join. ^^ Hope to hear from you both soon, and please feel free to ask if you have any questions. =)
Hi, TheFightingBeard! The game has megaservers now, where it’s not as important which server you’re on to connect with guild mates (unless you want to do WvW), so if you don’t mind suggestions for other servers, Remnants of Hope might be a good fit. It’s not my guild, but I know they’ve got great people, including several military members (active duty and vets). If you want to check them out, they’ve got a website here: http://remnantsofhope.com Good luck in your search!
Hello, Starrk! It sounds like Ember Solace matches what you’re looking for. We’re a small-ish (54 members as of right now) guild on Tarnished Coast, and we do a mix of everything, but mostly PvE with some WvW and PvP. We’re really friendly and welcoming, and we have active forums where people do everything from post Fractals guides to screenshots of how sparkly their characters look in new gear. =)
We don’t really RP, but there is a section on the forums for people to RP if they want, or to connect with others for private RP. I’m hoping to encourage casual RP during PvE things like dungeons.
But if you’re still interested, please register on our forums and check out our GW2 sections. You can see which kinds of events we schedule and how we interact with each other. If you feel like we’d be a good fit, you can put in an application to join us. =)
Hiya, IDooMx. If you’re okay with guesting onto another server, I think Ember Solace might fit what you’re seeking. We’re on Tarnished Coast, so you’d be able to do everything with us except WvW. We are mostly PvE with some WvW and PvP, too.
If you’re interested, you can register on our forums and check us out. Registering gives you access to our GW2 sections so you can see what kinds of events we schedule each week and how we interact with each other. If you like what you see, you can fill out an application. Hope to hear from you soon! =)
Hiya, Malnek! Family-like guilds are the best. It’s an environment we’ve worked really hard to create in Ember Solace. I know you said Devona’s Rest, and we’re on Tarnished Coast, but if you wouldn’t mind guesting, I really think you’d like being with us. We don’t do much WvW (at least, not formally structured events, although some people enjoy WvW and EotM on their own and invite others to go with), but we love dungeons and Fractals.
We have a full Fractal guide on our forums and lots of members who are just getting into it. We usually have at least one scheduled Fractal event per week, with other spontaneous Fractal runs that happen on their own. Like last night, for example — we had a scheduled Level 1 Fractal event led by Dahkeus, and the people in the group enjoyed it so much that afterward, Ben organized a spontaneous Ascalonian Catacombs: Explorable Mode event and then a Level 2 Fractal event after that. (I think they were up late, lol.)
We don’t have any organized RP, but we do have a section on the forums for people to initiate RP if they choose, or to find RP partners for private RP. I think there are some people who would be interested in learning more about RP, but don’t really know where to start. I’ve been thinking about encouraging casual RP during dungeon runs.
Anyway, if you’re interested, I invite you to check out our forums. When you register, you get read-access to our GW2 sections, so you can see what kinds of events we do and get a feel for our community (like the hilarity that goes on in our screenshot thread). If you think we’d be a good fit for each other, you can submit an application. And of course I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have. =)
Hihi, littlebugger! Fractals is a lot of fun, especially with friends/guildmates. =) Since you’re on TC and we’re on TC, maybe you’d be interested in us? My guild, Ember Solace, does a little bit of everything, but mostly PvE (with some PvP and WvW on the side), and we really like doing things like dungeons, Fractals, exploration, and living story. We’re pretty casual and laid-back. To get a feel for us, you can register on our forums and read through our GW2 section. We post scheduled events and have social activities and conversations about different aspects of the game. If you end up liking what you see, you can put in an application to join us. =)
There’s actually a whole role-play connection site, Guild Wars 2 Roleplayers, where people can do things like read up (and speculate) on the lore and even find role-playing guilds. It’s got a pretty big community, so maybe something there would work out for you both. Tarnished Coast is the unofficial RP server for NA, and Piken Square is the unofficial RP server for EU, but I know there are guilds on other servers who do RP. Good luck on your search!
Hiya, AudioCG. =) We’re not on Ehmry Bay, but if you’d be willing to guest (it’s a free feature), you could do everything with us except WvW. My guild, Ember Solace, is on Tarnished Coast, and we’re a small-ish (52 people) PvX guild that mostly focuses on PvE with some PvP and WvW, too.
We love new people. No, really, we really enjoy helping show new people the ropes, answering all manner of questions from gear to dungeons to builds, and helping people with things like their personal story quest. We’re actually accepting applications for a Newbie Officer right now, which is a position specifically designed to help out new people.
If we sound like fun, please register on our forums; registering gives you read access to our GW2 section, so you can gauge our activity level, check out the scheduled events we have each week, and see how we interact as a community. That way you can decide if you like us before you decide to apply to the guild. And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Welcome to Tyria, and I hope we hear from you soon! ^^
Hiya! If you’re willing to guest over to Tarnished Coast, my guild, Ember Solace, is super friendly and very welcoming. We’re small-ish (52 members) and we do mostly PvE with some PvP/WvW in there, too. We have active forums and TS3 and, most importantly, people who genuinely care about each other. If you want to get to know us better, you can register on our forums and look over our GW2 section to get a feel for us and see if you want to apply. ^^ And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. =)
I saw your original post and definitely would’ve reached out, but I noticed you mainly WvW, and my guild doesn’t do any guild-led WvW (although some members WvW on their own or in groups of 2s and 3s). If you’re okay with a guild that doesn’t lead WvW, then otherwise, I think you’d really like us. =)
Our guild name is Ember Solace, and we’re on TC. We do our Guild Missions on Saturday evenings at 8:30 p.m. EDT. Most of our scheduled events are between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. EDT, depending on the day, but we also have people online in the afternoons who do spontaneous activities together. We have a few people who work from home and take periodic breaks to do some Map Exploration together, and other things like that. =)
We love doing dungeons and Fractals, and we also love teaching people. We have a lot of newer players in the guild and spread out our activities between things anyone can do, and things max-leveled players can do. There’s usually something for everyone.
If you’re interested, you can apply on our forums. You can even register and then check out the forums to see what we’re like before deciding if you want to apply. Hope to hear from you soon, and good luck with your guild search!
Hi, Tohanry! It sounds like you’d be happy in Ember Solace. =) We’re a small-ish PvX guild on TC, and we’re pretty casual, too. =P Most of our events are in the evenings (EST time, so only one hour off from you), and we love doing things together. If you’re interested, you can fill out an application on our forums (we have a brief app to weed out trolls). Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope we see you soon! ^^
Hiya, bandgeekdp. (Which instrument do you play?) From the sound of it, my guild would be a great fit for you and your friend. We’re on Tarnished Coast and we have a solid focus on PvE. We love teaching people who aren’t as familiar with things, and welcome questions. Pretty much all of our scheduled events fall between 4:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. EST, and we don’t have any RP requirements.
If you’re interested, we’ve got an application on our forums. It’s pretty short; we use it to weed out trolls and elitists. If you register on the forums, you get read-access to our GW2 sections, so you can kind of poke around and see if we seem like a good fit. You’ll be able to see who all has logged on in the last day and read topics like build advice and scheduled farming parties, etc. If you like what you see and you think our community will work out, you and your friend can apply. =) (We’ve also got an FAQ in case you have questions, and I’m also available to answer if you wanna PM me.) Hope to hear from you soon! ^^
Hiya, Rave! Welcome to GW2. =) My guild, Ember Solace, is both friendly and active. Plus, we’re on Tarnished Coast like you. ^^ We’re a small-ish (~50) PvX guild with a strong focus on PvE and some sPvP/WvW on the side. We have scheduled events every week, along with spontaneous activities, and we have a Social Officer, Kaz, who holds awesome contests and giveaways with prizes. If you’re interested, we have an application on our forums (we use it to weed out trolls and keep the community friendly). If you register there, you can read our GW2 sections and get a feel for us before deciding if you want to apply. And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! =)
P.S. – Here’s us doing a Guild Mission.
It’s okay, I got the e-mail and posted it in the right section. =) You’ve been approved as a trial member, so I sent you a guild invite in game and replied to the application. You should see it on the forums under Trial Members. It has the trial objectives there, plus I sent you an in-game mail just in case. Welcome to Ember Solace! =)
I see that you registered on our forums, and I see that you’re online there now, but I don’t see your application. Did you post it in the Applications section?
Hiya Harpij — which server are you on? If you’re on a North American server and don’t mind guesting, I think my guild, Ember Solace might be a good fit. We’re a casual, PvX guild that loves helping new people. We’re great at being friendly, answering questions, and doing fun social events like trivia and raffles. If you want to join, you can fill out an application on our forums. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
Heya, Vincent! Sounds like Ember Solace might be a good fit for you. We’re on Tarnished Coast, too, and we love helping new people. We have lots of friendly members who enjoy answering questions, running dungeons of all levels, and more. Plus, we have a Social Officer, Kaz, who puts on fantastic contests and games like trivia nights, raffles, and giveaways. =) If you’re interested, check out our forums and put in an application. =)
Heya, xDoosey! Welcome to GW2! The game is definitely a lot more fun with a solid group of friends. =) I think you’d really like my guild, Ember Solace. We’re a casual, PvX guild on Tarnished Coast (like you), and we have our highest activity levels (and scheduled events) during EDT times. We’re super friendly and enjoy helping new players, so that fits well, too, plus our Social Officer, Kaz, loves doing giveaways, raffles, trivia nights, and more (which are things people of any level can have fun with).
If you’re interested, you could check out our forums. We have a brief application to join, in order to weed out trolls and elitists, but it’s pretty short. Plus, if you register on the forums, you can check out our GW2 sections and see what kinds of events we offer and watch how our members interact with each other before you decide if you want to apply. And you can always ask me any questions. =) I hope we hear from you soon!
Hiya, Dave! Welcome back to GW2! There have been a lot of fun, new things added while you’ve been gone, and we’d love to show you around. =) My guild, Ember Solace, is a friendly, casual PvX guild on Tarnished Coast. We do mostly PvE, with some sPvP and WvW in the mix, too. Our guildmates are very kind and close-knit because we genuinely care about each other. We have the highest activity during afternoon to late-night times, EDT, and we do both scheduled and spontaneous events.
If you’re interested, please feel free to register on our forums. That way you can see our GW2 sections and read over our guidelines, called the Purpose & Principles, plus you can see the types of events we tend to do and get a feel for how we interact with each other. =) We do have a brief application, but it’s pretty short and mainly designed to help us keep the guild friendly and laid-back. Please let me know if you have any questions. ^^
P.S. – Here’s a screenshot taken after one our first Guild Missions awhile back.
Heya, Captain! Better compy stuffs can make a huge difference; I’ve notice much better results after I upgraded some of my compy parts. =) It sounds like you’d really like my guild, Ember Solace. We’re on TC, like you, and we’re casual, we use TeamSpeak3, and we’re laid-back yet fun. Plus, we have scheduled events, spontaneous events, and even contests and raffles hosted by Kaz, our Social Officer.
If you’re interested, you can check out our forums. We have a brief application to join (to weed out elitists and make sure the guild stays friendly). If you register on the forums, you can view the GW2 sections to get an idea of what we’re all about (the types of events we do, the kind of community we have), so you can decide if you like us before doing the app. And of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Hope to hear from you soon! ^^
Hiya, Mokah! I think you and your wife would have a lot of fun in my guild, Ember Solace. We’re on Tarnished Coast, and we do a lot of PvE (with a bit of sPvP and WvW in there, too). While we do have a Purpose & Principles that are the guidelines for guildmates, there aren’t a lot of rules and a lot of them are common sense.
Our guild members are usually the most active between afternoon and late-night EDT times, which should fit in with your PST time. We have scheduled events, plus impromptu activities the guild does together. If you’re interested, you can register on our forums and check out our GW2 sections, including our Calendar & Events sub-forum that shows the types of events we hold. That way you can decide if you’d like to put in an application (we do have a brief app process to weed out trolls and elitists so we can keep the guild friendly and casual). And of course, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. =)
P.S. – Here’s a picture of some of us doing a Guild Rush. ^^
Heya, Tee. =) My guild, Ember Solace, is friendly and active. Not sure if you have any other things you’re looking for, but we have scheduled events all throughout the week, with most of our players being online during the afternoon to late-night EDT times. We also have a Social Officer who runs fun contests and does giveaways. If you’re interested, there’s an application on our forums. =)
Hiya, Wifflet! GW2 is a really fun game; I’m glad you’ve been enjoying it. I know you’re on Borlis Pass, but if you’d be willing to guest (it’s free) over to Tarnished Coast (or re-roll?), it sounds like my guild would be a great fit for you. Ember Solace is a PvX guild that does a little bit of everything, and one our favorite things is to help new players. We love explaining things, taking people on dungeon runs (you get to do your first dungeon at level 30), helping out with personal story quests, etc. Our guildies are super patient and friendly. Plus, we have a lot of social activities that people can do no matter what their level, like trivia nights and raffles. We’d love to get to know you and help you out. =)
If you’re interested, you can check out our forums. If you register on there, you can see our GW2 sections, so you can see what kinds of events we tend to do (we have scheduled and spur-of-the-moment events) and get a feel for our community. We do have a brief application to join, but it’s really to make sure the guild stays friendly and welcoming, and to help us get to know our new members. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I hope we hear from you soon. =)
I added a pic of us doing a Guild Rush (it’s a type of Guild Mission, which are really fun group events for guilds to do together). ^^
Hiya, Fed! Welcome to Tyria! If you’re on an NA server and don’t mind guesting, my guild, Ember Solace, sounds like a great fit. =) We’re a small-ish PvX guild on Tarnished Coast with friendly, helpful players who love answering questions. Plus, we have regularly-scheduled events, spur-of-the-moment events, and even social things like trivia and raffles. If you’d like to know more, you can visit our forums. If you register, you get read-access to our GW2 sections so you can see the types of events we like to do and get a feel for our community. If you have any questions, please let me know! =)
Hiya, Vexon! Welcome back to Tyria. =) I know you’re on Stormbluff, but if you’re interested in guesting (or transferring eventually, although you wouldn’t have to), you might like my guild, Ember Solace. We’re a small-ish PvX guild on Tarnished Coast with a close-knit community. We have scheduled guild events several times throughout the week, along with spur-of-the-moment activities. We do Guild Missions on Saturday nights, tPvP on Friday nights, and our most active times are EST in the late afternoons to very late evenings. If you’re interested, you can check out our forum; if you register, you get read-access to our GW2 sections so you can check out our scheduled events and read our guidelines (called Purpose & Principles). We have a brief application process to make sure the guild stays fun and welcoming. Hope to hear from you soon! =)
Hiya, Kevin! Welcome back to Tyria. =) It sounds like you might like my guild, Ember Solace. We’re a small-ish PvX guild on Tarnished Coast with a social focus and a wonderful, close-knit community. We do all kinds of events from Fractals to sPvP to Edge of the Mists (something new since you were here, maybe?), plus we have a fantastic Social Officer who does raffles and trivia nights and other contests. If you’re interested, you could register on our forums and see what we’re like before you decide if you want to apply. (We have a brief application to make sure the guild stays laid-back and mature.) I hope to hear from you soon! (Also, your thief’s name is really pretty. <3 )
Hiya, Kuro! That’s the life — roaming across Tyria, having grand adventures with good companions by your side! It sounds like you’d be a great fit for Ember Solace. We’re on Tarnished Coast, too, and we do a little bit of everything. We brave dark dungeons, hone our skills against other players, journey through the worlds combating other mist-dwellers, and even visit the Crown Pavilion for a chance to vanquish the formidable bosses. If you’d like to learn more about us, you can register on our forums to get read-access to our GW2 sub-sections, which will let you see what kinds of events we schedule, plus you can read our guild guidelines (called our Purpose & Principles). Let me know if you have any questions, and we hope to hear from you soon! ^^
Hiya, Rae! If you’re on a North American server and don’t mind guesting, you could apply to my guild, Ember Solace. We’re on Tarnished Coast, and we do Guild Missions every Saturday evening. To find out more about us, you can check out our forums (if you register, you get read-access to our GW2 sections so you can see what kinds of events we do). We have regularly-scheduled events, including things like tPvP nights and dungeons and living story. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hiya Xanthoshawk! If you’re looking for a small-ish, close-knit guild, then Ember Solace might be for you. We’re on TC, like you, and we have TeamSpeak3. Many of our players use it often. We’re most active during afternoon/evenings EDT, and people like getting on TS to chat and just do silly things. We have regular EotM activities and we’ve also had scheduled events for the Living Story Crown Pavilion (happening again tomorrow night).
If you’re interested, you can check out our forum. If you register, you get read-access to our GW2 section, where you can see our “Calendar & Events” sub-forum to see what kinds of events we schedule (although keep in mind we also have many spur-of-the-moment events, too) and get a feel for our community (including reading over our Purpose & Principles to see if our guidelines will be a good fit). Let me know if you have any questions! =)
Aw, squid are super awesome, and you sound like you’d be fun to adopt to our guild home. =) I know you’re on Dragonbrand, but if you’d be willing to guest (you don’t have to transfer), maybe you’d be interested in my guild, Ember Solace? We have about 50 people, and we’re on Tarnished Coast.
We do a mix of PvE, PvP, and WvW (and I’m planning on hosting a beginner RP event soon). Plus, we have a very active Social Officer who does all kinds of contests and giveaways. We do scheduled events (like our Crown Pavilion Boss Blitz tonight) and spontaneous events like the random Fractals and jumping puzzles people get up to on the spur-of-the-moment.
If we sound like a potential adoptive guild family and you want to know more, you can register on our forums and check us out. We have a brief application (to ensure the guild stays friendly and welcoming). If you have any questions, please let me know. And yay, squid! ^^
Heya Noopleh! When I first saw your message, with EU in the title, I read it anyway, and thought you’d be a great fit for my guild, Ember Solace (and we for you, too), but I didn’t reply because we’re on an NA server. But then I just saw your reply that you’d consider transferring back to NA for the right guild, so I thought I’d say hi!
We’re on Tarnished Coast, and we’ve currently got 51 members. The “get to actually know people” caught my eye because I think that’s one of my guild’s greatest strengths. We all really care about each other. We have birthday threads whenever someone has a birthday, and we chat about stuff that’s going on in our lives, like looking for a new job or visiting family.
Our members range in experience from veteran players who’ve been with GW2 since beta (like me and my co-leader), to players who just started a few weeks ago. People are always willing to lend a hand with things like helping someone through a personal story quest or giving advice on builds. We have people who do Fractals casually, and a few people who are interested in more advanced, regular Fractals and are hoping to put together a static group for the purpose. We definitely don’t have any build requirements; we’re all about finding the best way to play that fits your playstyle. =)
Also, we have tPvP every Friday night (Friday Night Fights ftw!), and it’d be great to have you along! We’re there to have fun, and new people are welcome (no rank requirements). We have a mix of scheduled and spontaneous events. Some things (like FNFs, Guild Missions, some dungeons) are scheduled, and some are just spur-of-the-moment that people come up with and want to go do.
Anyway! This got long, lol. I know it’d be a big thing for you to transfer to an NA server, and I know you couldn’t guest or dungeon with us unless you transferred. What you could do, though, is register on our forums. Registered users get read-access to our GW2 sub-forums. It’s not quite the same thing, but maybe spending some time observing our forums (the threads people post, how people treat each other, the types and timing of events posted) might help you decide if it’d be worth it to transfer.
Please feel free to register and just poke around. We have a trial period, so if you decide you’re interested enough to join, you could apply (app is on the forums), and then kind of test out guild chat and TeamSpeak3 during the trial period (even if you can’t do events with us). Then after the trial period, if you still like us and decide it’s a go, you could transfer. If not, that’s definitely okay, too. Like I mentioned, I know it’s a big thing to transfer back to NA.
Anyway! Whatever you end up choosing, I hope you find a great guild home, Noopleh. =)
Heya Muranodo! We’re not on HoD, but if you’re willing to guest (you wouldn’t have to transfer), I think my guild, Ember Solace, would really fit what you’re looking for. We’re a small (50-ish members), causal guild full of people who really care about each other. Although we do have some sPvP activities (and some of our members WvW together), our main focus is PvE.
We do have TeamSpeak3, but it’s not required, and while people do hang out there and use it to talk, we also have plenty of people who use guild chat, too. We do Guild Missions (usually on Saturdays), and we really love helping people. Things like assisting with personal story quests, helping people get the Dungeon Master title, and providing assistance with questions like, “How do you get _ item?” and “What’s the best build for ____ class?”
A few of our members play other games, too, and we have a section for talking about that and sharing screen names, screenshots, etc. We also have a Social Officer who hosts all kinds of fun things, from Trivia Nights to writing contests to the raffle that’s currently going on until the end of the month.
If you’re interested, you can stop by our forums; if you register, you can get read-access to our GW2 sections, so you can get a feel for our community and the way people tend to treat each other (plus you can see our scheduled events). We do have a brief application, but it’s really short and just designed to help us get to know people. And if you have any questions, I’m here. We’d love to have you apply, but whatever you end up choosing, I hope you find a great guild home, Muranodo. =)
Hiya, Feanor! I’ve been having fun with the Crown Pavilion Boss Blitz, too, although I haven’t spent a lot of time with it yet. (We do have a scheduled party on Saturday just to group up with guildies and do more of the CP achieves, though.) My guild, Ember Solace, is most active when you are — evenings EST and weekends, and we love grouping up for stuff together. We also do tPvP on Friday nights. I know you’re on Darkhaven, but if you’d be willing to guest (you don’t have to transfer) to Tarnished Coast, you’d be able to do everything with us (except WvW). If you’re interested, you can check out our forums and see what you think. We’ve got an FAQ there, and you can get a feel for our community before deciding if you want to fill out the brief application (we use it to weed out elitists and such so the guild stays welcoming and friendly). Hope to hear from you soon, Feanor! =)
Hiya, FrenchFri! Welcome to GW2. =) If you’re willing to guest (or re-roll) on Tarnished Coast, my guild, Ember Solace, would likely be a great fit for you. We’ve got about 50 people, and we love helping out new players and answering questions. There’s always someone willing to explain something or help with a story quest or do a low-level dungeon. We also have team PvP on Friday nights, and we have a TeamSpeak3 channel people use to stay in touch. If you’re interested, we have a brief application on our forums (just a few questions to make sure our members are friendly and helpful), and we’d love to see you apply! Please let me know if you have any questions. =)
Oh, I almost forgot — we have Friday Night Fights (strangely, scheduled on Friday Nights), where we do tPvP together. I’ve found that sPvP is more fun for me in a group, and we have a lot of fun together. ^^
