Hi, I am sorry if this has a very obvious answer!

During the BETA weekend, if I use any items from my bank, for example, 5 tomes of knowledge on my BETA character, after the event is up will they be returned as if never used?

Again sorry if it is an obvious answer, and a question I am sure has been asked multiple times!

In wvw I run power shatter, no pu! Using always mantra of distraction. If I see a condition build running towards me, I swap out decoy and blink for MoR and AT, I need the cleanse more than the stealth and reposition mechanic!

I then ensure I always dodge there clone bursts, the torment hurts! After a while I then let the mesmer apply some stacks to me, then boom arcane thievery and incoming burst from me!

I find mesmer vs mesmer is essentially the same as every other stealth class, make them burn there escapes and defensive abilities, then make the jump!

I am on my phone so, sorry if some slight spelling grammar mistakes!

I have never really communicated on the forums or posted that much, however, I propose a challenge to you all!

For the past 2 and whatever years I have duelled my friend, now he has handed my kitten to me more times than if like to admit!

The challenge is can you beat him?

In all seriousness, I would like to be able to learn how to counter thieves a bit more, thought this might also interest the duelers out there!

Massively disappointing, I don’t get much time to play due to real life nowadays, however when i do play its WvW and it just isn’t playable anymore.

While I hate this type of ‘fighting’ style as much as you, I also realise that no player has an obligation to fight how you see is suitable!

The best thing you could have none, is walk away from it, it’s what I do, no fun in chasing a player who wants to play like this!

I placed my mesmer on the shelf a few months ago, after maining Her for two years! I felt it required to much work to roam efficiently in wvw anymore!

However past couple of days I’ve started playing lockdown 4/4/6 and all I have to say is o freaking love it! The feeling when you land that perfect interrupt/burst is amazing! The thing I’m left struggling with and by no means being ’rekted’ is s/d thieves and d/d thieves!

BUT compared to the shatter meamer it’s a lot more efficient, for me anyway, against thieves!

The main thing i want to improve is the graphics, a friend built the computer for me and said the graphics card is the only thing that lets my computer down!

Hi I’m looking for some advice on how to increase my current computer set up, I’ll start off the bat by saying my knowledge is very very basic!

I’ve used a website to collect my PC spec, is this enough for you to recommend anything?

Also Guild Wars is the game I solely play, however if you can suggest things that will last a while in terms of computer quality, it would be much appreciated!
I just want my experience in game to be the best it can be!

Hi everyone, now before i start i need to throw this out there, i’m not very knowledgeable with computers. Think of that Grandad who struggles to operate the TV remote without colored stickers on the buttons. Ok, done that? Good now you know where I am at!

I ran a program a few weeks ago called ‘GrimeFighters’ it is part of Avast Internet security and works on making your computer work better and more efficiently, this is achieved. However it removed my Guild Wars 2 folders.

If I click on the folder where everything was, all that the folder contains is:

Bin
Music
Screen

So with this in mind i had no way to get onto Guild Wars 2, so I went over to the official site and downloaded the client.

The client works, i double click on it and it opens asks me to ‘run’ it and then promptly opens up the login screen and hey presto I’m in.

However recently I’ve been pointed over to SweetFX which i love the look of, however with no folders, it isn’t something i can use.

So i guess what i’m asking is there a way to download everything again, so that its all in its neat folder, as though I had never removed anything?

I’m sorry if everything seems a bit of a ramble, I’ve tried my best to describe my problem, if you require any further information, please just ask!

Hi i recently lost my bank card, therefore i had to order a new one!

Whilst I was purchasing gems i noticed my saved card was now old and wouldn’t work, so i tried to change the details. However all the boxes went red and I was unable to type anything in them at all.

What is it i need to do to update my billing information?

Well I was thinking the other day, instead of a complete race change how about we have a compromise where:

- Level a toon to 80

- Upon reaching 80 on that profession you are able to buy a new item from that profession trainer

- The new items is account bound and allows you to instantly level another race/same race to 80 on that profession type.

I don’t see how anyone could not agree this is ok, the person has done the work in leveling the original character.

This has happened to me also on Mesmer, several times now in fact! Always seems to be when i am fighting someone in WvW or SPvP!

What’s the difference?

2012 Wintersday you could buy the Christmas Weapon skins from the Gem Store.

2013 Wintersday you cant.

Why do I think you tanked? well let me answer that for you.

Your server made several guilds go away (a person from your server told everyone in a thread a little while ago) in order to get into silver league, then they were told to return once the season was over. However, one of the problems was that your server didn’t count on the sheer awesomeness that is Gandalf.

My theory:

Tankolation is a gold league server, but it is a silver league server (in terms of strength at the moment) that has gotten people to leave and has convinced so many forum warriors to deny all of this on these forums; whilst claiming themselves to be victims. Using these methods Tankolation planned to be a slightly better than the rest “silver league server” therefore making the tanking look like it was natural.

Once the league was over and all of the Tankolation forum warriors had gained their pretty dolyak related prizes and the guilds had returned, Tankolation would return to gold league where they would once again claim to be the victims of the “Vizunah zombies”.

This is why I am supporting Gandalf and not Tankolation, because Gandalf deserves to win silver league.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, I am looking forward to your reply (without flame this time )

The crying and the moaning on this thread is appalling. It really looks like none of you are actually enjoying the game anymore.

The lack of sportsmanship is very sad actually, if you lost, get over it, that is life. Build yourself a stronger server and try harder next time. But to come on here and moan and point fingers is achieving nothing except a loss of respect between all servers.

All in all. Grow a pair and get over it.

Well, interesting topic, been a while since I have seen this amount of moaning and finger pointing!

The only thing I want to say is that no matter who has the bigger ‘Blob’ the other team will always have the bigger number. It is easier to see enemy red name plates in front of you than allied team mates.

Just enjoy the match-up and the fights you can get, war isn’t fair, so you need to utilise the enemies weak spots into your attacks. Evolve and adapt.

Also, Make Love Not Warc .. oh wait.

I would say Mesmer … but of course I would I main a Mesmer!

Seriously though, the best class is the class you enjoy the most, no point in playing a class that is good at things but you really don’t like the play-style.

This has only just occurred to me and so with that occurrence I have come straight here!

I’m not sure about other people but I can’t imagine I am alone with this, I’m sick of having to buy new gear for new skins so I don’t lose the ones I’ve paid for!

Is there any likelihood or possibility that like the dying system we can also have a skin system. So essentially upon receiving an item we can ‘use it’ and place it in a skin wardrobe, this will allow for increased customisation as no skin is ever lost.

I know we have transmutation stones but AFAIK one of the items is always destroyed, I want to buy the new Armour on the Gem Store, however I currently have the T3 Asura Cultural, to which i don’t want to lose the appearance, runes or the stats.

I’m sick of having to buy the same stats on Armour just so i can look different when i decide i want a change! One day I might want to have X skins and one day I may want to have Y skins.

I’m sorry if this is on here somewhere, honestly I didn’t look as I decided to just rant!

Enough is enough, stop the arguing/flaming/trolling. Both sides of Deso catering to different things, DVG caters to the miltia, giving them easy caps and karmatrains, while every other guilds that spends a large amount of time in WvW enjoys a challenge and plays to actually have fun, yes we will sometimes do more towards points, but at the end of the day the large majority of guilds on this server couldn’t care less where we are in the ranking, as long as it is providing fun and competitive matchups. Before you comment.. yes it is just you DVG that golem rushes, not a single other guild likes golem rushing all the time without trying other things.

Last night I commanded on EB for a while, in that time we had a productive evening, we took several towers, and during that time there were a few calls by people that ‘it was taking too long, they want fast caps’ and that i should use golems. Sorry but I will never use golems as a first attack, it’s not the way I work. Perish is the same generally, taking Veloka without a golem rush .. sure it takes longer but I doubt you will find anyone that didn’t get sense of achievement and had fun. Stop this crap about you can’t take T3 things without golems… to say that just shows how pathetically unskilled you are… It’s not quick, it’s not easy, it takes time to drain supply, hit different objectives to keep the opponent guessing, but it can be done.

As for implying that you invented the idea of calling non-wvw guild members ‘miltia’.. well your a bit late to that party, since I first started calling them that back in December since I have never liked the term ‘pug’.

At the end of the day, people can play how they wish, but believe me DVG, you are the only people that want to play the way you do.

A public forum is not the place to be arguing over internal problems, in case you hadn’t noticed we have a server forum for that, if i see any more I will ask a mod to just simply close this thread since it reflects badly on Deso, and as I actually consider Desolation more important than any guild or individuals opinion, I suggest you consider what you are saying and the image it gives across, instead of flaming oppostion/telling them to improve their coverage/arguing over meta.

What Deso should know is Piken tends to have lower numbers out over the weekend (something about having real lives or something, the heathens, lol. ). Weekday usually shows the real matchup.

Everyone moaning about Deso night capping and blobbing .. it’s the weekend and it has only been ONE night which was reset night, of course numbers are going to be high then, on every server.

Do not judge a server based on one night or even the weekend, our coverage is not always like this.

Loco, I was the Mesmer you dueled, had some fun fights with you, again don’t be to harsh on a server due to one individual, I’ve been interrupted mid duel by your server and Kodash several times today. Alas is the bane of it being a free for all and dueling based on player rules instead of game rules!

Trying to get a fight with a Viz player …

Nice title right? Makes you slightly annoyed that someone accuses your class of cheating? This was my scenario last night …

I’ll just quickly explain in brief my play-style. I am a full zerker geared, phantasm build, therefore I cant be hit or trapped else I’ll get smashed in a few big hits! I use to play shatter, therefore i move around ALOT and hide in clones and stealth as much as possible. That is the basic of it.

I ended up dueling an enemy guardian in WvW and proceeded to beat him 5 out of 5 rounds. This was fantastic fun, he wanted to learn how to beat me and the class, so i spent the time teaching him how to counter me and my play style. We genuinely had a blast doing this! Added each other to friends as we got on so well. Then he invited a few guild mates to come duel me…

After beating his guild mate (or almost beat as he stopped the duel) he started getting angry, accusing my play-style of running and hiding and using phantasms as cheating, and this is the part that amazed me said I was cheating as I wouldn’t let him hit? I ran to much apparently I wasn’t fighting the correct way in his eyes.

The reason I’m typing this is it’s kind of annoyed and vexed me and put doubt in the way I play the class. Should i be stood still in full tank gear taking damage?

Has anyone else ever come across people that accuse you of cheating or being a bad player simply because the way you play your class is so different to what they expect?

I am so so sick and tired of constantly being out-manned every kitten match-up!

Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea of being the underdog but this has been happening for months now.

Also do ER have anything other than Thief?
