I’ve started having an Idea that Scarlet, and maybe even the whole Sylvari race are minions of Mordremoth. No, it doesn’t revolve around the idea the Pale Tree is the Dragon. It’s more like Glint in my eyes, and the Pale Tree is a redeemed Champion of Mordremoth. So rather than making the Sylvari as minions for the Dragon’s rise, she is trying to separate them from that life. There are a few odd ones, like the Nightmare Court. Who aren’t minions, but just Sylvari who have gone down a sole evil path. Scarlet however broke everything the Pale Tree was doing, and opened herself up to Mordremoth. And now everything she’s doing is working to bring the Dragon to wake.

How that involves The Dredge, Flame Legion, Nightmare Court, or Atherblades? …I honestly don’t know.

Yes this is a very loose and weak theory, but a theory none the less.

OR the nightmare court realizes that they were made as dragon minions and wants to be set back on track. I’ve had this idea since like month 4 of release. All sylvari were made to be minions and that one discoverer guy broke them free from that. They don’t realize this but the nightmare court.

I personally love the Shiverpeaks zones. I’d take mountains over jungle or arid zones any time. Haven’t visited Frostgorge Sound yet, I’m curious how it looks. It’s hard to pick one of the zones, but I’d go with Timberline Falls.

I think server communities are supposed to be united. Guilds are enemies in PvE, but allies in WvW? Not sure that is a great idea.

not necessarily. in WoW there were factions. so why not guilds and enemies? YOu can still do kitten with em but in open world you should be able to kill them #Wgvg

Yes, World Guild vs Guild. As in, you see a guild that you have a feud with in the open world, you should be able to kill them. Think about it, there could be tons of allied guilds and when you’re out in the world (not in a city) you can go up and attack them. I think it would be great, you would both need to set your reputation status to enemies but then you should be able to hunt your enemies! funzieZ!

is there any karma gear i can buy for my engineer? Or should i just get the CoF kitten and use aetherblade skins on it. (karma gear for good build)

Also from what I recall they said if they even do another profession it’ll be WAYYY down the road and likely another soldier profession.

I don’t think you realize that the professions and armor types of Guild Wars 2 are classified as Scholar (light armor), Adventurer (medium armor), and Soldier (heavy armor).

Ok, but getting back to the topic. With “living story” approach I don’t think we’ll see any major releases in maybe 2 more years. Crystal Desert is where Kralkatorrik is placed and we shouldn’t be able to get to him through living story. The idea that major part of story would be put into something that lasts only 2 weeks and disappears after isn’t fun at all.

I don’t see why having a female version of armor on Asura is so bad. If they took the time to craft it so that it is not sexual then why not allow a little more femininity among the Asura? The hair ribbons show me clearly that at least to some extent they care about what gender they are.

My Asura wears the Wintersday skirt and ornate ruched shirt for her town clothes and it is VERY feminine and looks great! Yes it’s a deep V-neck… but it doesn’t looks sexual in any way. This shows me that they could make feminine armor for female Asura.

One thought – the new Phoenix set. Instead of a long, see through, feathered skirt like the human female wears – why not make it an ankle length skirt that has feathers on the bottom hem? Simple change, yet makes a big difference on such a small character model. Also, instead of the sweetheart neckline that accentuates cleavage – change it to a straight across neckline for the Asuran lack of cleavage. This keeps it looking good, yet feminine.

There would definitely be more work involved… but they SHOULD be tailoring the armor to the race/gender that wears it. Small tweaks to make it look awesome on all races and match all genders. Not to mention it would be fun to be like “oh hey, I wonder what this set looks like on _”. It would make it so that there is more variation in the game and people can feel even more unique based on their race and gender choices.

I put in a suggestion topic about female armor on female Asura… but it got few replies so I don’t know if I was heard or not. Maybe I should just grab a protest sign and hop a flight to Seattle to get my voice heard =p

Personally i like the designs, i love the female hair more than the males and i love the voice acting more, FEMALE FTW

if you’re new do NOT, and i repeat, do NOT play an elementalist. My first toon was an elementalist and i hate him now, i cant even log onto him because of how hard he was on me when i started game. I would say warrior or guardian or ranger.

i have bought the game as a digital copy
the dload/install is approx 14GB, i have a good internet speed but this is painful and is taking a v v long time to dload especially when i get my line throttled by my isp at key times.
does anyone know how i can go about getting the disc so idont have to dload 14GB+

In order to get past w2z3 you will need a lot of baubles (400 to be exact)

I suggest you rerun through world 1 and buy all the appropriate shop items. It’ll help your runs easier. There is one part in zone 2 where you cannot advance (ignoring secrets) unless you bring a bomb.

I hate the new Meteorlogicus effects. The footfall looks bad, they just look like random lightning sparks coming out of the ground and the theme doesn’t really match the model of the scepter. I would love it if it had puffy cloud footfalls instead.

I prefer the current look even if it doesn’t have footfalls… i like the blue/purple trail on the end of the scepter when you run and its now gone

Please anet, consider changing the footfalls or changing the effects back!

I asked people with the scepter around SOR LA and they hate it too.

I’ve been playing this game, have 4 80’s, almost 5, and i have NOT felt the grind. i literally walk around and gain levels on my Mesmer, i just do dungeons for fun then BAM i somehow have full gear.

So i was gone for 1 month from the game, and the one month i was gone was last april when it was SAB. Now it has returned i’m super happy, i love it. I cant get past w2 z2 though its so hard! i wanna finish the challenge mode thingy so i can get the gs from last time. Love you anet <3
