Guild Wars series is like the Elder Scrolls series, you play it until you get bored, try other games, come back for a while, and repeat for years. The trick is to NOT UNINSTALL the game cause you’re just going to waste time downloading it again in a couple months.

As has been said, big things coming soon and living story season 2 starting up as well.

The only reason i left gw2 is all my friends still play wow and i got bored without friends. I hope i get my friend to come back asura 4 leif

The bobble head thing was just a joke for April Fool’s Day. It’s not permanent and no real harm done. To judge GW2 entirely on a joke for a nationally recognised pranking day is hasty.

I left when the tower was in the fields of w/e and the new patch was about to come out.

So i have a been a long time WoW player and if you didnt know they are adding new playermodels and i might not be able to play it anymore, so when i make my own pc i am probably returning to gw2! any new stuff or fun stuff? I really hated the bobble head thing that was stupid.

There was one last year related to the Mad King Tower. This year was the one located in Charr city land that was short. A Dungeon by traditional definition? No but something like it nonetheless.

Oh that wasn’t the dungeon that was just an intro to the story.

While I do agree that holiday content shouldn’t stick around 24/7, I don’t see any harm with it recurring every year, but with new stuff to do. For example, Halloween 2013 could have been a repeat of 2012, minus the Mad King bursting out through the fountain. The scavenger hunt? Tassi can send you to re-visit the ghosts, and the Ascent to Madness dungeon could also have been done via a “flashback”:

Player: “So, tell me the story of how we defeated Mad King Thorn in his own realm in years past.”
Tassi: “Now that’s quite a tale! After we forced the Mad King back into the Mad Realm, we sent adventurers through to beat him into submission…” [Replay the Ascent to Madness dungeon]

With the added Bloody Prince chapter, it would feel like Halloween got bigger and better every year, instead of now wondering which of our favourite activities won’t be coming back next year.

100% agree Halloween this year was a complete and utter disappointment compared to last year. They did the Bloody Prince stuff, but that dungeon paled in comparison with last year’s Mad King encounter. Outside of the dungeon, Halloween was nearly identical, except with less achievement opportunities, less skins, and a slightly harder, while at the same time much less rewarding, Labyrinth (which I thought was an odd way to go). I have very low expectations for Christmas. I fully expect a complete rehash of last year, but with more grinding, less skins, and less achievements.

Norn, Sylvari and Human have the same animation so it gets old watching it. Char and Asura’s have thier own unique ones which makes it more interesting.

That being said, I like charr cultural more but very few other armor fits them well, Norn has a larger variety the ycan go with.

I agree, but almost EVERY warrior is a charr, and I Mean, almost every single one. I think I’m going norn just because it’s the only storyline i haven’t played yet and because i could get a cape. and i want a cape. IDK i guess i’ll flip a coin. I mean charr are sick, but so are norn. I would go human for the ‘spartan’ set of armour (i’ll put a pic)

Well you see, I wanted to make a warrior so I made an asura, then saw a norn, so I deleted and made a norn (i have never played norn story-line) But then I thought of a good name for a charr warrior thus i made Legionnaire Kala but I still kinda want a norn and UGH i’m indecisive!

why would i care for a precursor?

Since there are about 4 teams working on living story, why don’t we take 2 of those teams to work on an expansion and better ways to get ascended weapons/armour (cause there is NO WAY i’m spending my precious gold on one toons(i have 6 toons and 4 of which are 80 atm)) and make the living story down to 1-2 per month with mini updates to add new content every 2 weeks.

Another same but different: Last years hat was town clothing (boo). This years mask is a skin to add on armor (yeah!).

Town clothing seems useless to me. I hope that more skins are available in future! Frankly I would love to see all my town clothes turned to skins so that I can use the cool stuff I got early in the game before realizing how much a waste of they were.

where do we get the mask? I mean last year when i joined i just walked to a guy where the lion statue was going to be and got a hat, now i cant find him.

Now, across hours of playtime and 2 days, i’ve only gotten lucky enough with your RNG to kill 4 infected enemies… the achievement asks for 25 over 2 weeks, ok… BUT WTF is with this daily?! Asking for 10 kills against some of the kittentiest RNG in the game, not only is it grindy but its random.

Really this is one of the worst patches you guys came out with, the only decent thing is the art.

- Events scale poorly compared to how the scarlet ones did.
- Poorly measured achievements, 10 for a daily when you expect ppl to do 25 in 2 weeks…
- Adding this crap in WvW and annoying the WvW players with it. LS != WvW
- making the new skill cost 5g + 250 spores … champ farm for 15 min and you get the necessary scrolls to unlock the skill with 25 SP (which your main characters should already have stocked up)
- Untested skill balance making its way into WvW bcz it was added to PvE (after the promise of not changing ANYTHING to WvW for the duration of leagues) … note that the skill has not made it into spvp… nor have those crazy huge spores…
- 3 min story + hours of useless grind for AP with no real content to back it up.

As much as i like the game because of GW1 and original content before LS, you are really killing the game at this rate…

you notice this story will go through January right? We just unveiled the tower…like we JUST unveiled it.

Is anyone else here FINALLY excited to have a serious content update? Think about it…

• Flame and Frost: Russian mole people, can’t take that seriously even if the plot was supposed to be serious
• Lost Shores: kind of serious, but you’re fighting a bunch of crabs for tourist privileges
• SAB: Nope
• Dragon Bash: Nope
• Cutthroat Politics: Nope
• Bazaar: Nope
• Queens Speech: Somewhat serious, but having Briar as the villain and cut scenes like where Faren tries to save the queen made it goofy again.
• Twilight: Can’t really take Scarlet Briar seriously…she’s the comedy relief as well as the main bad guy so meh.

But FINALLY after seeing the new video it seems like we’re finally having a serious content update. The content they’ve been adding has been great, but all the cheese they pack into it is getting absolutely ridiculous… For once I’d like to feel like I’m actually in an RPG and not a cartoon. Here’s hoping that they keep the mood dark through this one.

I wasn’t sure what I was ever going to do with those things until Halloween rolled around, and then I thought “Hey… succubus!”

But don’t worry; the hair is going back to its normal style and color after the Mad King leaves, and the wings get folded up and tucked away in a drawer until next Halloween. I’m not the kind of person who leaves the holiday lights up all year.

I’ll likely put her through another transformation of some sort to give her a festive look for Wintersday.

Okay i’ll change the email password, my game password is changed and i linked an authenticator.

It did kick me, then i logged back in and came to the site, change password, and removed all allowed locations.

I got booted from the game for logging in on another location (which i didn’t do) So i logged back in and changed the pass then removed all the locations and everything and now it won’t let me put email authentication on my account it takes me to an error page

I remember when i first saw this armour, i wanted it so bad. but i knew i couldn’t afford it, Every game i had i was poor as dirt. 2 Days ago i sold 500 candy corn and flipped well over a thousand candy corn (sorry for making the candy corn economy worse) and got a good 20+ gold. Then i was flipping ores and kitten. I sold some t3 mats and did orrian boxes and then i had 127 gold. I xfered some gold to gems to buy xmutiong crystals so i did. Then i flippedmore and got 145 gold. I felt i needed a treat. I waypointed to rata sum and RP walked towards the vendor. Now i have this sexy armour
