I can’t really see a need for it on a stacking weapon. Bloodlust and the like will be far better. However that rune set looks very interesting. Especially for wvw builds
Above level 30, this repeatable chest also has a chance to contain a brand new rune or sigil:
The Rune of Resistance grants bonus toughness, a reduction in condition duration, and aegis upon using a signet
The Sigil of Momentum grants a stacking toughness buff every time you kill an enemy

So, thoughts on this? Aegis on signet use is very interesting!

I’m at 97% world completion then I’m done. Yet I can’t play till tomorrow so I’m literally fiddling with everything try to make my mind off it!
Another tip I’ve given a few new people for stacking is to find corners of walls. Anything that looks remotely like a right angle. Asking people to stack in there usually makes everyone see where you are and be on top of you.
Makes for a more accurate supply check.
Use things like big fields and small fields for your water fields. Bomb is usually used when you have heavy damage in your location. Lines up for lines of warding, static for obvious. Hammers forward means hammer stuns. build your own system.

I had the same problem. You have to really focus on saying things out loud. So when you click left you need to keep saying left until you stop pressing that key.
It’s all practice. Took me about a week to get into the habit but once it’s there it never really goes away.

Next, i would like to ask if there is some other part of SFR community that are not disrespectful trolls? I can bet that they are on the server, but are they on forum, or are they busy on wvw actually fighting? If you are here let us know that not all of you are trolls like some of your guys trying to convince us.

We lost some WvW Guilds last week and losing some more this one,so after the weekend there will be no doubleteam or whatever.
Just SFR against Piken with RS at spectator mode.
Hopefully on prime time we could do some nice GvG in open field.

First up, adrenaline.
I like the idea to normalise it. What is want is more bars to play with. Split them and make it 6. That opens up the possibility of adrenaline actually being a micro system that we can manage. Much like thieves. It’s too clunky and boring right now.
That opens up the options you gave for more abilities. I’d like to say put bollas and kick on f3 and f4. Uses one bar of our now 6 adrenaline bars. F1 still uses up to 3 bars. Offhand would be amazing. I’d like to see shield 4 changed to a full knock back maybe and shield 5 put onto the f2 ability. Using one bar of adrenaline per second of blocking. Give me something new for shield 5. War horn sonic blast would be great, I like it.
I’d like to see vengeance changed to give 100% rally as standard to be honest. Not sure why it isn’t and why we have a trait for it. It take a while to come round to activate so let it happen.

Sfr will just focus piken so helping riverside, like piken help vizuna win the league at first match up.
The question is who has the better coverage and who utilizes that better. Unfortunately WvW is so easy … RS will at latest go down to three after the weekend, just because of missing coverage… Welcome to the coverage vs coverage vs coverage season :-P

Which is a shame really isn’kitten RS I have huge respect for. Amazing people to fight and play against. It’s just a shame they don’t have the coverage. Piken has some later and early coverage, but that won’t matter this match up. It will be a pure focus fest by SFR. Good luck to all! Maybe the best coverage win!

Replace UF to give a 50% increase on current crit chance. So 50% crit would turn into 75%. To get the benefit you need to invest into the gear. Which is the problem right? Pvt warriors having high crit chance?
I managed to get a ascended box drop in wvw today. Shame it was apocryphy gear however the skin is beautiful. So grinding isn’t always the only way to go
We all post here in the hope that the warrior improves. But logical thinking is needed in how it will effect the class as a whole. Screaming for protection on everything isn’t the way forward. Some very intelligent people explained in vast detail why is was a bad idea, yet he ignored it and carried on. He mad a rod for his own back.
Anyway, this has become about a person rather than the class. So I’ll leave it be. Interesting idea, but maybe keep the discussion on the thread rather than an external website where the chances of a dev reading a slim to none?
Nothing in this game will be balanced. That’s the beauty of it. You fight and accept the circumstances when you engage and deal with the rest on the way. That’s why it’s fun.

Comments like this are incorrect. Daecollo while a bit rambunctious at times has talent as a writer, and while all his ideas are not good ideas he does have good ideas as well. To throw out all the food in your house because you found mold on one potato is ignorant.
Comments like this can never be incorrect because it is a personal opinion. Apologies but 99% of bad ideas to justify 1% good ideas isn’t worth sticking round for. It’s like opening 100 cartons of milk and sifting through the gone off ones until you find that one good one, yet your so fed up of the gone off milk that you’ve gone off milk altogether.

From a commanding point if view. Having more hp from a trait I already take and having defy pain go off and 50% instead of 25% is actually a buff for me.
Hammer damage reduction isn’t needed with the other nerfs. Axe 5 damage still sucks. Lots of other things they could of changed but didn’t.
Going to be a tough patch. Glad they didn’t touch healing signet
You can’t access wvw when guesting. These are people with secondary accounts. Probably brought when they had the huge discount on.

No I mean the ability to get the old launcher back. I put the command line in and…nothing!
I like that idea but I tend to carry every type of siege from normal to guild. So it’s certainly a lot of space. I’ll try it and see what happens for now but it would be nice for siege to go into a separate bag and then give us a menu when we enter wvw. I’d also like a drop at location option for siege, but that’s just getting my hopes up!
So I’ve recently upgraded my bag space from 15 slots to 20 slots. And I’m now struggling with screen real estate. Trying to get siege for my bags to the floor is proving a tedious task!
Is this good design? I’ve seen the dev streams where they have access to a drop down menu. Maybe we could get something like this for our siege?

Then you supply trap the camps. You supply trap everything. 60 man zergs loosing 50% of supply is a big deal. Those numbers are hard to get back up without towers full of supply.
Coverage is an obvious issue but changing siege isn’t the answer. Having two trebs behind doors would double the poison supply removal. Trebs also hit golems very, very hard. They would only survive 5-7 hits from a sup treb.

Apologies, but you need to learn what to use to defend a keep more. Supply is a key factor, so use your brain. They can’t build if you strip supply. 3 ram do not melt a fully upgraded door at all. Here are a few things you can do.
Trebuchet – this does HUGE damage to all siege behind that door and also causes a knock back. Yes, even to golems. If you have mastery then cows drain supply causing issues for inner gates and what siege they can use.
Supply traps – ALWAYS put a supply trap at the door or stairs at both inner and outer gates. Stripping 15 people of 5 supply is massive.
Clever placement – spread your arrow carts out. High range AoE has a long cooldown. Take advantage of that fact. Yes they will focus arrow carts down, however whilst killing one siege, you should have 3 others hitting them applying pressure.
The second they go away to reapply is when you do the same and resiege. Traps and grabs are key as it can stop a Zerg in its tracks. Get creative. The new ranks for siege have allowed a range of siege to be used to devastating effect as a defensive tool.

First off, I am a supporter of waypoints in WvW. That said, I don’t think they should be used the way they currently can be; as of now, when contested, a waypoint will open up (briefly) between the expiry of one “contest” and start of a new one. Is this working as intended?
In addition to evaluating whether WPs should stay locked when a keep is contested through the end of a defense event, also look into allow combat inside a keep in general to count as ‘contesting’. In longer fights it becomes tedious to have to remember to send one guy to poke at a gate to keep the contested status up while there is a 100-man 3-way raging in the lords room.

Be funny to make it something you can destroy to take it out for say 15 minutes. Or unless somebody repairs it for a lower cost that the actual upgrade.
The ideal solution would be a player limit on use when in combat per minute. 10 players every minute when contested would make for interesting play.

Combinations
Prime candidate is Unsuspecting Foe and the CC abilities we possess. Again it comes back to the build and gear debate. However being able to get these chains off, we need to be immune to the counter measures of the class we are fighting. Conditions are covered by berserkers stance, knock backs with passive stability, health loss is dealt with endure pain and healing signet is reducing the damage incoming by a % due to its static nature (a la protection). All of these are potent when together.
Now for a personal opinion. All builds are a hard counter to another build. There are no soft counters in this game and that’s where a fairly big issue arises. Regardless of your skill level, a build will dictate the match up to a high level of accuracy. This is bad design. Skill should always be the major factor in any fight. Therefore the hard counter approach needs to change.
Berserkers stance
Change to 75%. Dogged march will possibly need to change. Allow conditions to be a factor, if only a small one for the duration of the skill. This allows a skilled warrior, with a build set up for dealing with conditions to win, but also allows the opponent, a fighting chance to wear the warrior down and make him blow cooldowns.
Healing signet
I wouldn’t touch this skill. I feel this enables the sustain and the pocket sitting abilities of a warrior to shine. Again, a proper build setup to deal spike damage or has access to poison can easily counter the signets healing. Changing what’s around the signet is far more effective.
Defy Pain/Last Stand
There a few ideas here, so bare with me.
Unsuspecting Foe
Reduce to 25%. I think the idea of this trait to a good one. However the number is just too much. Allowing a defensive build to reach 100% crit chance shouldn’t happen. But access to some damage is needed otherwise the opponent won’t fear the warrior or the CC, as the damage is nonexistent. Reduce it, let it ride for a month. See where we stand afterwards.
CC chains
Leave them as they are. Anet took a good sweep at stun breakers. If people don’t choose to take them, then they have to out skill the warrior to defeat him. Stun breakers are a learning curve. That what makes good players outshine the up and coming/learning players. Again possibly changing shield 4 to a knock back rather than a stun would alter the skull crack build enough to not make it too powerful.
Miscellaneous
One change I would like to see is to cleansing ire. I had always had the image of a warrior who holds adrenaline should be defensive and can trait to be defensive. However a warrior that expends adrenaline should be rewarded for doing so by damage.
I would like to see a simple change. Cleansing ire keeps the adrenaline on hit, however for every bar of adrenaline gained, it reduces the duration of conditions placed by 5%.
I would like to see something in the arms tree or even tactics that gives the current removal of conditions based on how many bars spent, but it’s not something I’ve given a huge amount of thought to.
Summary
Warrior is now a very complex array of offensive and defensive abilities that can’t be balanced by an individual spotlight. It needs to be looked at with everything else attached. Usually the most obvious choices aren’t the issue at all, it’s what supports that primary skill that’s making it work better than intended. Healing signet is getting a lot of stick for something that’s actually not that hard to counter. Our total immunity to conditions coupled with high CC allow us to simply lock out any caster from doing damage. Stop the immunity to conditions, create soft counters and allow skill to come to the forefront.
I’d love some good, constructive feedback on this. No too sting, nerf comments as I’ll just report it for deletion. Keep it civil and constructive about experiences in game and we can give some really good feedback.

This post is to evaluate where the warrior is currently at. What skills are overpowered, underpowered as individual skills, or what combinations are problematic.
As a general rule, I will be talking about my experiences playing. I don’t theory craft or min/max to any major extent. Listing huge equations has little bearing in a game like this, kitten many variables cannot be accounted for.
I play WvW almost exclusively. I do PvE on occasion, however most of this post will lean towards the former. If anyone with extensive knowledge of SPvP can contribute, please do.

Armour – PVT /w melandru runes
Accessories – Beserker, Knights and hybrid Power/Vitality/Precision/ Crit items.
Weapon – Axe/Shield ~ Hammer

Abilities/Traits of Interest
These are the abilities that have come under fire.
Why are they highlighted?
Berserkers stance
8 seconds of condition immunity in a condition heavy meta cause a few waves of conflict. No way to fear, cripple or slow. It was a big deal. Is it too strong a skill? At 100% reduction, considering the reduction of the condition meta probably yes. However I feel it was needed to break the condition meta that had taken over.
Healing signet
Where to start? A much needed increase to sustain, which warriors struggled with. I’ve seen a lot of comments about an uninterruptible heal. No counter. Always active. I do, strongly, believe that this is a knowledge issue. Is it too strong as an individual skill? No.
Defy pain
Easy one. Only active at 25% health. I don’t feel this is too strong a skill on its own.
Last stand
Same as above, activates when a CC hits.
Unsuspecting Foe
A large chunk of crit chance when stunned. I’m torn between this skill. If you have no crit damage, the increase in damage is negligible. However if I stun with my setup with full adrenaline, I’m at 100% crit chance with 91% crit damage. That’s big. I do feel as an individual trait, this is too much of an increase.
CC – ability
Hammer stun, mace stun, shield stun. Etc etc. we have a lot of access to stuns. I feel that these are not a core issue. Warriors personify stuns and lockdowns from weapons. That’s what we are based around. Mace F ability was too much with a bugged rune. However that’s been resolved. I feel these are fine. There are many ways to escape and make us blow these cooldowns. I would probably change shield 4 to a knock back from a stun. Shield should be point defence. Would break some of the mace/stun synergy and add to defence on points or saving a team mate.
If your new, then you want full PVT gear. Hammer and sword/war horn. You need to be a pillar.
Soldier runes on gear.
You want one sword with bloodlust for extra damage however I’ve switched to +healing to boost shouts. I can hit about 2200 on shouts.
You then want another sword with flame blast AoE.
Your offhand should have restoration (health on kill).
Hammer should also have this sigil. Your priority is to not die.
Once your comfy with commanding and knowing why you can get away with and what’s going to hurt, you can switch it up. I run a 0/10/30/0/30 build with pvt gear and a hybrid of zerker, knights gear with a focus on precision. Still tanking in dish out huge damage. I do however run axe/shield. But that’s my style
Piken used to be fun to fight. But you are just an example whats wrong with wvw at the moment. Hiding and running all the time and waiting until you outnumber the enemy 3:1.
And your a shining example of what wvw should be? Pah!!!
I’d like to see a few big changes. Double the adrenaline bar to 6 bars which are smaller. Keep burst skills at 3 per use. Give us some F2 F3 abilities like kick and stomp which use one bar of adrenaline. I don’t think things like that should be skills as such, there physical. They should cost adrenaline to use.
I’d love to see offhand F abilities, but I think that’s never going to happen. I would also like to see cleansing ire changed to reduce condition duration per bar of adrenaline. So if it was 6, each bar would give 2.5% reduction.
Adrenaline should be integral to warrior, but it’s just not. It’s bolted into the side.
warriors need a buff

Olba pretty much has this down to a tee. Comparing traits with skills can’t be done. They are totally different. The warrior has many counters. Mesmers can easily counter us.
The main problem is that people select a build and go “that’s it, I can handle anything!”. Once they come up against a counter to the build they run, it’s an instant cry for a nerf.
