Oddly I’ve never seen anyone complain about MoD, Well until now. Why can’t I just be a mesmer in peace!?!?

So bathe in that hate and use it to squash your opponents.

err. my main issue is the meta for mesmer is just stealthing and restealting trying to get a invis shatter on someone. it took a profession that was out in the open skillful and made it = to a thief pushing steal from out of los.

I can’t describe how satisfied I am right now with mesmer…I really am though (Although a revert of the mirror nerf would be nice but oh well). I must agree the hate is annoying although I’ve never been directly affected by it but I have seen it. Other classes are so basic and cliche, A common staple of every game but mesmer is a so fresh (to me at least) another reason I love the class so much. So no matter the nerfs mesmer will always be a favorite and my #1.

Well….I like aegis with it…I see adding stability to our given boons to be….useless….especially with it’s duration.

Not like 50% is much different than +1s for the prestige and decoy, it’s just off by .5 seconds. Leave it as is, buff veil to base 3s and buff MI to base 7 seconds, done.

PU nerf deserved. Still gonna be played. Still gonna be strong. Although I’d like for aegis to be removed from PU.
PS Mistrust isn’t bad. 7 stacks of confusion instantly on my cheesy alt condi perplexity mesmer with one insta cast interrupt of 1200 range. That’s hella fine.

I think PU at +50% is perfectly reasonable and still worthy of a GM slot. +100% is and had always been overkill with or without bugged Pledge.

That said it would be nice if the boons are reconsolidated down to just defensive ones (Aegis, Protection or Regeneration).

Eh, PU nerf but I didn’t use it all the time so I’m not bothered I guess, These other updates seem nice. But I’m going to wait patiently for ppl to complain about the 50% (Hopefully it doesn’t happen, But some ppl are so fickle)

So let me get this straight, your point is that you don’t want to bother thinking about what other classes can do, but just feel happy about the best you can do no matter what?

Sorry, but that line of reasoning doesn’t work once you get out of parent-pitch baseball leagues. Your personal performance is meaningless without a comparison to everyone else. You can’t go around touting how great your damage is if everyone else has damage that just blows yours out of the water! That’s like entering a marathon and saying that 8 hours is a fantastic time because it’s the best you can personally do, while ignoring all the other folks that finished in 4 hours.

Numbers are meaningless without comparison. In our case, the comparison must be made between us and the other classes that fill a similar role: eles and necros. When you make that comparison, it is plain for all to see just how extraordinarily pathetic our performance is.

That argument would be valid if other professions could do the same as we can do. But the reality is mesmers are still needed for theunique features we can bring. Once this point has been settled, the only question that matters is how do you perform as a mesmer, let it be as the profession who only brings those unique things, or be more useful besides that?

I mainly now started playing condi ever since the most recent patch reducing my dmg output slightly (But not drastically). Condi for pvp has been working fine for me, In large scale fights it takes a it more time to down someone but I’ve had no issue 1v1 or even fighting 2 people at once.

I wish I read all those above..comments but tl;dr In my opinion I dont understand..Why give us a trait before that gave us additional bounces..then make it baseline…then remove it. My damage has suffered a bit, But I can still manage.

I was confused as to what EZ? was supposed to mean, (Easy) But easy to play or kill?

(Obvious whining troll I’m assuming) Weirdly he assumed I was someone else who participated in “tourneys” which at the time I didn’t know what it stood for or how to get into one…..

Well I love the 100% stealth boost of course, But in pvp I’m so used to having such short stealth times I always happen to reveal my self before the stealth ends. Maybe a habit but I hopefully will break out of it soon.

Despite the cool down. I love it, Double blink, Double feeback, double veil.

If I used a staff and I wanted to act like my clone by standing in one place and casting Winds Of Chaos, I would die. I can confuse my enemies rather easily with my clones. Just pop in a few stealth’s and voila.

Doubtful, I’ve seen mesmers do prestige (and other stealth forms) and I would see absolutely nothing.
