One week event and wvw is dead i see.
If it was that easy to remove you from a game type for a game are you sure you like RvR as much as you say you do? DAoC made a lot of bad chose from what i understand that pushed most ppl out of there game (or they would be playing that game now and not GW2).
Every thing has potential when its not out or when your not playing it becuse then its just your own mind to make things up but when you sit down and realty think things out you find that your ideal of potential end up being comply unrealistic for real RvR set up.
I will completely disregard your first sentence since it shows that you didn’t properly read my post. I’ve been playing WvW since beta and I remain neutral towards the golem rush event.
DaoC made many mistakes, I agree. However, it was not the reason why the game died. It pretty much lost the war with WoW (In its golden age) in the subscription market, just like countless other games. I really see no shame there.
I know this might not be the best moment for this post with all the negativity around (let’s be honest, this subforum has been like that for a long time). kitten it, I’ll post it anyway.
So much potential… just left behind. It could easily have been the greatest RvR experience for years to come, with a little love and commitment. I am aware that resources are limited, but seeing what other game developers can pull off with a limited budget (both Indie and AAA) makes me wonder how disorganized ArenaNet really is.
DaoC, while outdated, just trumps WvW in so many ways, despite its terrible graphics. It was fun, incredibly rewarding and encouraged strategic play. WvW still has so much room for improvement.
I really don’t know if I should laugh or cry at this point. 2 and a half years without real communication and interaction between the devs and the wvw player base. It really feels like a hefty smack in the face.
I don’t want to play the doomsayer or anything but if WvW doesn’t get any meaningful updates this year then I don’t see a future for this game mode. Of course, it will always be filled with PVE players looking for karma but the players that love mass scale pvp will leave sooner or later.
A new map is nice and all, but we need fundamental changes like factions or alliances, immersion, real consequences, strategic play and most importantly smart avenues of communication between devs and player base.
Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be. Thanks for reading.

Even a warriors hammer attack disabel speople longer, not to talk about all the mesmer interrupting.

Considering that landing all 5 projectiles on a target happens once in a blue moon, it might as well hit like a truck.
Thieves tend to be gankers and roamers. Some are like Velociraptors that travel in groups to kill low skill targets. Thief players are probably the saltiest players in the game, a common trait Rogue players in MMOs have. They tend to be obnoxious and arrogant and don’t like losing.

People are just too kittening lazy to go to appropriate spots. No one is gonna interrupt your duel behind the mill at SC or in the obsidian sanctum.

It’s kind of hilarious what one interrupt can proc if you get all the traits.
- stun (if you daze)
- 3 seconds quickness
- 800 damage?
- 5 seconds weakness
- interrupted skill is put on a 15 second recharge
- recharge 25% of your pistol skills
- 2 stacks of AoE confusion
- 2 second immobilize + another condition
- 5 stacks of might for 10 seconds + another boon
- 3 second slow
The qq will be strong.
For the extra lulz:
Use continuum shift afterwards and do it again!!! Hahahaha this will be glorious.

WvW was amazing for roamers in the first year. Theorycrafting, testing new builds and finding enemies every 2-3 minutes. Fun times. Nowadays… Zergs, PvD, Cannonhuggers. Blergh. No thanks.
The majority of decent players have quit, are playing pvp or taking a break, thus leaving roamers to fight zerglings. Not my definition of fun.

The issue is the whole concept of pulsing stability. It should be removed. It takes away counterplay from the game. Even If I clear their stability or use a CC to remove their stack, they just get it back in another couple of seconds.

Do you have something against Baruch Bay server? Why do you, more than less, go together against the Spanish server, doing 2 vs 1 most of the time? Is there any hidden reason we, in Baruch Bay, don´t know?

it’s because a good bit of the community doesn’t have a a sense of humor,overly sensitive,hate everyone but themselves, and think they’re so mature, they have to look down on everyone else, or they feel themselves are as smart as einstein. Honestly, those kinds of people shouldn’t be playing video games at all.

Haha I feel you OP. Had a terrible notebook with kittenty gpu and cpu and recently bought a new one. It’s like a different game lol.
SSD is also fantastic, had loading screens of 20-30 sec and now around 4-5.
Some people forget this is a game.
You play it for fun.
If you have fun in WvW, that’s the advantage.

Well it depends.
With 2/1/6/1/4 you are looking at a balanced build, it has sustain and good damage.
With 2/5/6/0/1 you are going for full blown damage, so its either kill or get killed.
IMO, that dmg modifier is going to help you more than the vigor (In your specific build). Inspiried virtue is basically a must-have in any pvp/wvw guardian build and therefore I would go 2/5/6/0/1.
I recommend going 2/1/6/1/4 or 0/1/6/1/6 though because the condition removal and stability are more often than not gonna save you in outnumbered situations.
Oh and, I wouldn’t ask Reddit, most players there are PVE only, judging by the numerous polls.
